You should have not wait for that long, it seems like you missed a lot of days gambling during this boring time. And for the Bitcasino good job for responding. Hope that the conflict on his account will be resolved. Try to update also if there is something suspicious why his account suspended or any reason why it lead that way.
1842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG !!! Peter Schiff was right, again............. on: September 10, 2020, 05:55:41 PM
Welcome back. I don't really pay attention to the price but since you've showed up that can only mean that there's been a correction. Funny how you are mysteriously absent during all the bull runs. Roll Eyes
This made me laugh haha, I've been seeing this guy spitting bash with bitcoin for quite some time now and I just realized that he was absent during the bitcoin is running to $12K. You know HardFacts, try harder the next time you wanna post.

You would not be fooled if you know what you are dealing and getting with bitcoin, this ain't fools gold, bitcoin is clearly not a gold the price is definition is not similar, the only thing they are alike is that both are high valued these days. Just think, if bitcoin isn't at the price that it is now no one will compare it to gold.
1843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers Are Trying To Break Into This Bitcoin Wallet Holding $690 Million on: September 10, 2020, 02:29:15 PM
I it going to be a very powerful computer and will be the god of brute forcing wallets if ever hackers gets their hands to it.
Brute-forcing to crack the private key isn't going to work. You need quantum computers for this, and if the rumour is true then although it may seem impossible to get the private keys for now in the near future this might well become a probability.

I'd highly recommend you both to actually read about quantum computers and what they can achieve.
They are not magic machines.
People praising quantum computer as if it needs a second to break cryptography haha

There are quantum algorithms which do decrease the search space for specific mathematical problems, yes.
But they can not just easily crack and bruteforce everything.
Theoretically, quantum computer can break bitcoin blockchain if it can derive the private key in less than 5 minutes, which I don't think we computer scientists can't do in the next 5 to 10 years.

This is dangerous sciolism being spread by unaware people.
Indeed.
1844  Economy / Economics / Re: Can legalisation of Cannabis help US economy? on: September 09, 2020, 07:46:10 PM
As far as I know, there are limits on the amount of marijuana that can be grown at home, just a few plants.

What state are you talking about? Because I think it can change from state to state. Either way a few plants is probably more than you'd ever want as long as you smoke it yourself.

Hell yeah, it depends on the state in America. As far as I know Colorado already legalized it with reasonable extent, does it make the economy of Colorado wealthy? NO, it adds a market then adds to their state revenue not much in the whole America in general.

And the use is allowed in a certain amount, not exceeding the norm. Therefore, I think legalization implies an increase in the number of states in which it will be allowed, and not an increase in the amount for consumption.

I didn't get your point. So will be good for the US economy or not?
There are people who buys cannabis for good reason, best example is for short term treatment with diseases that isn't curable yet. I believe this will be good for the US economy to regulate the use of cannabis in every state. Strict regulations must apply!
1845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Can Reverse Bitcoin Transactions? on: September 09, 2020, 04:54:14 PM
It's simply impossible for Chinese government to "take over" enough miners. They even failed to shut down large facilites when the government considered to ban mining: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-china-cryptocurrency/china-wants-to-ban-bitcoin-mining-idUSKCN1RL0C4
They did not try in the end most likely because the government knows very well that an attempt would fail.

People get confused about miners based in China and Chinese Government mining.

Chinese Government, as far as I know, there are no miners from the chinese government.  China cannot control bitcoin.

I think that there is something wrong with the headline of the article, instead of using the term 'chinese miners' they used word 'China' generally which is confusing at all coz China's government don't have any hands on these miners, or just so we think about it, but I'm sure they don't.

Additionally, even if  Chinese government did, they wouldnt be able to revert a transaction. Only one, and then they would all be blacklisted from all bitcoin nodes and kicked out of the network.
There is no single evidence in the article, no specific way of reversing the transaction, it says that ' China can potentially reverse bitcoin transactions' lol how?
1846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for salary on: September 08, 2020, 08:39:53 PM
I strongly advise against it unless the employee himself/herself requests for it. Why? Because of the volatility factor which needs to be taken into consideration here. Salaried individuals usually depend on consistent salaries every month.
It would just be fine if it will be still a currency based, say dollar then will just be converted into bitcoin when the pay day comes. Not much of a deal I think. But then the only problem here is the laws and regulation by the state or country where you live in, if you're living in a problematic country for bitcoin like India then there are possibilities that you'll never experience it.

However, BTC volatility would practically make this difficult since the employee may receive higher or lower salaries due to the fluctuations over time.
And yes, another problem would be the volatility rate of bitcoin, since it is high there are chances that it will be reduced or increase over time.

Instead, the better option here would be pay using stablecoins like Tether, TrueUSD, Gemini USD etc whose volatility is drastically low leading to consistent payments.
Why not if they can seamlessly do this, but in my opinion giving salaries through employee's banks is still at its best compared to this one.
1847  Economy / Economics / Re: Our chance to reset on: September 08, 2020, 07:32:53 PM
It is easy to say do not go out and stop working outside but the truth is people will starve, it's painful to see your family who have nothing to eat and just wait for the help of others.
The idea was to stop for a bit not totally for anyone to starve, there's nothing much you can do about the virus it is an invisible enemy, it is actually life and death situation when you step right outside your door coz the virus is dense enough to be carried by the air. Everyone is not prepared on what happened, maybe some of us has an emergency funds but I don't think it was ready good for 2 months and above.

There is already a vaccine and it will be released to the public soon so everything will be fine, as long as it is not available yet let's just be careful to ourselves.
Just to correct, we still don't have approved vaccine yet, the potential vaccines are still on the clinical trials even the Russia has proposed last month. As far as I know it is still on its first stage trial. What every one of us should do now is be vigilant from people we interact with, keep yourself safe especially your family.

Come on pipol.
Haha true  Cheesy as we know bitcoin being volatile kung hindi ka nakamonitor sa presyo nya ay magugulat ka talaga pero kung matagal tagal ka na sa field na ito (I can see myself) ay hindi na bago ang ganitong eksena, naging natural na lang to sa presyo ng bitcoin. Isa sa factor na nasilip ko dito is yung pag boom ng mga DeFi projects, practically speaking people would give up their bitcoins over this, especially the weak minds kung tawagin, dahil sobrang promising ng mga projects ngayon though short term lang ang pakinabang.

1850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miami Dade to open Casinos and Restaurants for the third time. on: September 08, 2020, 05:33:04 PM
This is trial and error. They opened their casinos and restaurants with measures that would prevent the spread of the virus and they failed the first time. They corrected their errors and opened those businesses again. The second time around, they still had failures and then they learned lessons and designed certain additional measures.
Well that's how most of the theories work, by trial and error the risk is always high at first, mild at second and supposed to be low at the third time. I'm pretty sure we can reopen now with effective guidelines measure, appropriate attires, proper hygiene and self-awareness. Lesson from the past attempts surely sinks in.

And now this is their third attempt. I wish for them the best. This is obviously a hard time to balance the attempt for economic recovery with keeping the virus at bay.
but I forgot this is America, land of self proclaim people. Saying that the virus is not real, "my body, my choice" lol I'm not telling all the americans, I  haven't been there, but what I see on videos and articles describe what it's like in there.
1851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: All your entertainment things must have an external limiting feature, agree? on: September 08, 2020, 02:56:41 PM
Nothing is going to stop unless the user itself want to stop because gambling sites can make profits if gamblers play more and more so we can't expect them to stop us from over betting and other way could be locking our funds for a time frame in a website or in a wallet which also not feasible because no one really want to lock their funds.

Well, we can't really believe or even expect these online casinos or gambling sites to make a way to stop us gamblers from betting.
They were made to receive bets, host a gambling platform, and you guys are thinking of an idea where casino to act to stop anyone from gambling. The only thing that the casino can do is to regulate what's going in and out of their platform walking just on the rules set by the state they were registered.

It is either the government need to interfere with their policies and regulation or if we realize ourselves that we need to limit or we need to stop gambling. Another thing is that if ever that a casino site would be adding a limiting feature for their accounts, would gamblers really use it?
Limits should come from us, the gamblers ourselves coz that is a matter of discipline. Even if the government tells you to have $500 limit in a day/week, would that be enough for anyone to stop betting? besides I think that would be a racist and inequality for the government to do, imagine setting a limit on this guy coz his deposit total history is below a rich person requirement. Casinos on the other hand should always be wary of the people inside their regulations.

1853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Im planning to invest in Ethereum. Is this a good plan? on: September 06, 2020, 09:56:12 PM
Why are there even popping up threads like this after a huge rally from 100 dollars to 400 dollars. Something tells me this individual simply wants more people to buy/pump Ethereum so he can make more on he's own investment. What do you guys think, is this just smoke and mirrors???
You can just say that it is a good time to invest on ethereum because it got a good rally from 100 to 400 $ It does not matter if he's making ethereum in smokes lol that's what a good looking speculation looks like, you got to do your thing to take advantage. Anyways if this guy simply wants to know if it is good to buy ethereum as of the moment, yes it is great since it got a pull back a couple days ago and it is back now at $350 something.

The coinpedia guy seem to be very persistent and is back again with their usual spam. This time round they are trying to hide in the alternate cryptocurrencies boards.

Good catch man, ban evasion is clearly on the rules, these guys must have been forgot about it or they did it deliberately.

Time to drop a bomb again on that account. Few reports will do, mods will obviously see.
1855  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest winner during COVID? on: September 06, 2020, 08:41:10 PM
Medical companies will be making a fortune out of this. Treatment, vaccines when we finally get one. They are the ones that control the governments and make the big desicions, so the true winners in all this. Don't want to say anymore as I don't want to go down the conspiracy theory route haha
The winners after this is the medical team of any country, why? because it is their fight, mainly. But in reality, after the casualties that the pandemic gave us, there is no winner but a lesson learned to humanity. If you think that creating a vaccine is just for making money then you must be in wrong thinking. There are countries who already beaten the virus, I believe Wuhan, China has already done it coz they are celebrating recently.
1856  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Early members, give us an insight on: September 06, 2020, 07:49:32 PM
- Buy bitcoin with your extra money very often and hold.
Check

- Do not go into trading game until you are master in it.
This makes sense but there is another thing when you lose in trading, but I'm not telling you to go lose all day lol, I mean everyone of us started and learned the hard way of trading, there were times that we often think to stop trading coz we're all losing but the thing is every mistake you make in trading, you always learn from it becoming you more aware of what trading is all about. Be careful with exchanges practice/demo tool.
- Don't listen to all those gurus, they are here to sell their signal which are useless.
Buy their speculation, dig your own grave  Cheesy
1857  Economy / Economics / Re: Famine is coming next ... on: September 06, 2020, 07:00:20 PM
Let’s hope that technology improves a lot enough to make sure agriculture can grow vertical farming to a whole new level. They are building that system a lot in Japan because they do not have too much space and with all the money they make from the tech improvements and sales they make, they probably spend a ton of it on the food export market because they need to get a lot of stuff, they are lucky china is nearby and would sell for cheap but I am not sure what their relationship is like nowadays.
Agricultural technology we use today is highly advanced to the point that we can create artificial crops which we can mutate for more nutrients. But still organic nutrients are way cheaper, this is the number one enemy of having a technology the cost of it is too much for anyone to handle.

So, if there is a method where vertical farming could make enough food for a whole town inside one building, we could have those in the middle of every town so that we could dish out food to everyone who wants it, end of the starvation problem basically.
You can't end starvation and hunger, it has been the very problem since the beginning though we got enough of a food supply anyone cannot still just have it without the power of money. However, I don't see that famine is on the way after all these disasters that we are experiencing.
1858  Economy / Economics / Re: The pros and cons of going cashless on: September 06, 2020, 06:02:49 PM
Well Only corrupted people would worry about their privacy lol  Apart from that, I don't think the crypto has reached its target yet. It will go through stages of improvements. But I see this is our future!

This means that I have to be corrupt because I avoid KYC and don't want my private data to be used by corporations.
Yeah, if you're just a normal person with nothing to hide even your privacy then you must not be afraid of being KYC-ed while other people secures their privacy and prioritize their security. If you do regularly taking KYC on whatever platform that requires it, you must not be surprise if one day there's a police knocking on your door for interrogation lol
I guess you do KYC wherever you can and send them videos and selfies of yourself just to prove how honest and transparent you are.
I'm thinking of a less where we can still do KYC besides from taking a selfie or anything, I guess that's the most appropriate one.
1859  Local / Pilipinas / Re: The World Is Finally Seeing the Value of Blockchain Technology on: September 06, 2020, 05:04:16 PM
I'm not a fan of topping up money on online shops like shopee and lazada but I was surprised seeing that shopee also accepts bitcoin as a mode of payment using coins.ph. Kasi noon puro COD lang ako since para walang nakakahinayang kung hindi man successfully maideliver yung product na binili ko.
I didn't know this, siguro dahil di ako active sa mga ganyan pero the last time I checked out in shopee hindi ko nakita ang gantong mode of payment. Ang huli ko lang na nakita is buying bitcoin in shopee from coins.ph though wala namang benefit ang pagbili ng bitcoin sa shopee, just for me, may mga taong nag avail non siguro dahil na curious lang or what.

On the bright side of it. I hope that bitcoin and other online transactions would be fully accepted by the community.
The very reason why hindi to maaccept ng karamihan ay dahil sa characteristics nito na volatile, what's most likely to happen is magiging unstable din ang presyo ng mga bagay.
1860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Bitcoin giveaway scams and how can you avoid them on: September 06, 2020, 02:27:04 PM
Every ads are paid so they are not really filtered, for google its just all about money when it comes to ads. I think when you don't have a lot of knowledge clicking ads is not new or always a thing.
It could be filtered but what google is doing is that they rely to their AI in accepting promotions, in that way they cannot reject one's offer if they paid the whole price for the ads. If they could done it manually, they could have been more strict about these stuff but that will generate a lot of work from them, besides technology does everything now isn't it?

You could easily make ads as long as you paid google, just picked some keyword and google is going to display your ads. Still, I guess you just need to know how scams works I guess I never get scam again after I know how scams work online.
This is why some scams are being advertised in google, no wonder there are people who thinks that some promotions from google is legit and so they are buying into it. Too sad for those who can't distinguish legit from a scam project.
