I agree with you. There are so many high ranked members who didn't earn any merit. In my opinion, this is abnormal if a user has not made a useful post worthy of giving merits for 9 months. |

Мне понравился антипул-алгоритм с подписыванием каждой итерации майнинга. Честно говоря, у меня сразу появилась такая мысль. В этом случае майнинг-пулу придётся посылать майнерам весь блок и приватный ключ coinbase-транзакции. В целом, это движение в правильном направлении, так как повышается децентрализация. Скорее всего, даже в случае CPU-only алгоритма будут использоваться пулы для кластеризации серверов и объединения мощностей процессоров, но, разумеется, в пределах серверной комнаты или доверенной узкой группы участников.
Я буду посылать пулу шары до тех пор пока не найду решение. Решение заберу себе. А вот это вполне реальная ситуация в биткойн-сети. Причем, она уже происходила и админы пулов боятся этого как холеры. Решение не забирается себе, а просто не посылается на пул. Зачем это нужно - предлагаю вам самим подумать. Может быть какая-нибудь еще интересная мысль возникнет. Наверно, целью сокрытия решения является вредительство. Когда два крупных майнинг-пула конкурируют между собой, один из них может присоединить часть своих майнеров к сети конкурента и посылать найденные шары, например, в 50% случаев. Хотя, скорее всего, потенциальный вред от такой деятельности будет небольшой и будет зависеть от настроек того STRATUM-сервера.
В этой индустрии уже крутятся миллионы долларов. Так что, думаю, уровень безопасности
должен уже соответствовать этим цифрам. Ты же не можешь спокойно попасть в любое мало-мальски
приличное отделение банка и натворить там, чего хочешь. Хотя в этом отделении всего то может
быть миллион долларов. Вы делаете неверное следствие: "если я и вы не можем попасть в отделение банка, значит никто не может попасть в банк и банк надежно защищен". Более того, администраторы этих майнинг-пулов, в основном, проживают в одной стране и могут быть вызваны, например, председателем Коммунистической Партии Китая или местными правоохранительными органами. |

Waves differs from Ethereum. Both of them are platforms for tokens, but I heard that Waves has a huge amount of pre-mined coins even bigger than Ethereum has. Also the Waves platform is not completely decentralized because there is necessary to use the "match" orders and servers. Moreover, the volume of the Waves DEX is significantly smaller compared to Ethereum. I think that currently NEO is a real competitor to ETH, not Waves.

Бывает, торгую ERC20-токенами на Etherdelta. Из недостатков могу сказать, что иногда ордера не ставятся в стакан, хотя написано зелёным цветом, что ордер отправлен. Ещё было бы лучше, если бы можно было в опциях задавать количество показываемых самых дорогих ордеров на покупку и самых дешёвых ордеров на продажу токенов. Кстати, если включить светлый интерфейс, то становятся не видны цифры в полях для создания ордера, поскольку изменяется только цвет фона, а шрифт остаётся белый.
В общем, торговать на этой децентрализованной бирже можно, к тому же есть доверие к смарт-контракту, который держит ETH-монеты и ERC20-токены на сумму более одного миллиарда долларов США.

I like Dogecoin for its rapid and cheap transactions. It is weird, this crypto currency is already fully mined and its wallet software has not been updated for two years, but DOGE still shows positive dynamics on crypto exchange markets. Moreover, Dogecoin has recently been significantly pumped.

As I can see at CoinMarketCap, the current situation with ETH and XRP is quite shaky. Ethereum's capitalization is 23.2 billions USD, Ripple's capitalization is 22.3 billions USD, so XRP might again overthrow ETH in the near future.
Although some crypto exchange markets do not want to list and trade Ripple, rich bankers appreciate fast XRP transactions, and I guess they will pump their crypto currency in order to dethrone even Bitcoin.

Why not? It will depend on the news around the crypto currency world. Perhaps large investors will decide to pump some top rated coins and the bull run will return in December.
Honestly, I do not believe that Bitcoin will grow above $9000 this year, because too many regulations were imposed after the previous bull run of 2017. Moreover, some countries banned crypto exchange markets, therefore the current situation significantly differs.

Smart move, but I wonder what would this change from legal perspective, ie whether Binance would still be required to verify customers ID, since they would be no longer holding funds on anyone's behalf. I'm guessing Yes, as I don't see any government giving green light to non-regulated, anonymous platform, not in a long run that is. Probably yes, the Binance developers will collect much crypto currencies to their DEX platform and then the government will prohibit their maintenance without verification, so coins of customers who do not want to pass the KYC procedure will remain on this trading platform forever. On the other hand, this could be just a PR move to prevent people from moving to EtherDelta and alike, or to deter other devs from developing their own decentralised platforms.
I quite often trade on Etherdelta. There are many ERC20-tokens in this DEX. The platform works not quick. Unfortunately, sometimes the new made bid/ask orders do not appear in the list. |

No, I do not think that the altcoins will recover. It will be difficult to return to the previous prices. For example, a few months ago ETH cost about 0.08 BTC, now ETH is equal to 0.034 BTC. I think even people in some 3rd world countries have the possibility to use smart phones these days because they are become pretty cheap. If you just look how much cheap smart phones is produced in China it's not hard to imagine that all world users will have such phones in some 5-10 years or even before.
I agree with you. Many cheap smartphone models have already appeared in the markets. Even the non-rich people can buy them now. Of course, I'm not talking about the new iPhone, Samsung Galaxy or other premium-class smartphones. Undoubtedly, the quantity of ordinary cell phones will be decreased in the future, therefore mobile applications which support making transactions of Bitcoin or other crypto currencies will be in demand. I think that the global mobile payment market will indeed reach $4.6 trillion by 2023, because customers like such convenient methods for buying goods and services. |

А ведь автор темы ещё в начале августа 2018 года точно предсказал нижний уровень в $174 для покупки Ethereum. Сейчас ETH отскочил и торгуется около $230. То есть следуя его прогнозам, можно было получить прибыль примерно +32%. Я, конечно, допускаю, что цена при следующем большом сливе на криптовалютных рынках может уйти ещё ниже, но, хотя многие не верили и упрекали автора в чрезмерно негативном сценарии, в итоге по Ethereum он оказался прав, пусть и без доказательств. |
