1841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: September 08, 2017, 04:56:11 PM
Are you a bitcoin fan?
Do you spend a lot of time on bitcoin? Reading news, trading, or even writing your own analysis.
But how did you first hear about bitcoin?
Is it some articles you read about? Or just from a friend who has traded bitcoin for a long time?

Share your experience with us. Grin

I just know bitcoins on social media. First I sign up and create my bitcoin wallet on Philippines coins.ph. Then I search on facebook on how to earn bitcoins. I started earning bitcoins by signing in to sites that gives free faucet whether it is solving captcha, clicking ads or just watching short videos. When I have enough funds on my wallet I was able to invest it and makes it double.

Now, I am still reading more about bitcoins here at bitcointalk.
There are many ads about bitcoin in various online business groups on facebook. because many of them want to get referrals from new users. this is what makes bitcoin spread naturally. at first I was not too concerned about investing in bitcoin as it was said by various users in the group. then there was one user who uploaded his investment earning on a bitcoin-related site and then I started to find out about "bitcoin investing" where the story begins
1842  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: September 08, 2017, 03:05:38 PM
Bitcoin doesn’t need banks. So, I don’t see any sense in this idea. Maybe we’ll see some local consulting agencies that will help people to get into bitcoin, buy some and other stuff. But it can hardly be called a Bitcoin Bank.

I could say the same, having this web wallets, and hardware wallets is enough for us where we could store our bitcoin, having this bitcoin bank is a little bit risky I think, and for sure, the transaction fee there would be much more high than the transaction fee in the wallet.

So, I'm sure that in case this bitcoin bank will be implemented in the near future, only few people will use it because they still prefer using web wallets and hardware wallets.
Agree I think it would be quite risky if you keep save your bitcoin in bitcoin bank because they are third party whenever can do scam or adverse policy. it's better to use a wallet because you can do your own maintain without the hassles, controls, and interventions from third parties. after all what is the advantage of bitcoin bank ? only interest right ? I think it would be better if you invested if you only want to get interest from bitcoin bank
1843  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in btc casinos on: September 05, 2017, 06:13:13 AM
What are you guys experiences in investing in Yolodice? Is it worth trying? Did you make money or loose? I just started with the minimum amount, just to try. Maybe I will put in more later on.

After about a month I believe I've made around 7% returns

I didn't have the same luck but I didn't keep my investment for long since I had to use it for something else
I was positive with yolodice mostly

However recently all casinos were turning a negative profit for me so I gave up on bankroll investments
Even Crypto-Games, which were dealing the biggest profit for the longest time
SafeDice was mostly negative for me

But at first you were having profits, right? What is your overall experience with investing in Crypto-Games? Was it profitable in whole? I thought the site was very successful in the past, that's why I'm asking.

What is the point of asking? I believe every gambling investment sure profitable in the end. But as you know all investment bear some huge risk but not in gambling industry because what they really need to do is get as much profit as they can and they boost their profit by setting house edge. This is why you will profitable in the end so there is no need to worry about gambling investment
I believe that investing on gambling sites will be profitable at the end because the house edge is siding with the bookie, but the problem is the fear of investors. when they see the balance on their investment continues to diminish they panic and fear then they withdraw their investment from bankroll. so all they get is a loss? I think the key is to be patient when you invest in a casino site
1844  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: September 05, 2017, 05:39:36 AM

Today many countries accept bitcoin as a virtual currency, is it because bitcoin is so high that they think bitcoin can change the country's economy, or because the country has many bitcoin users already?
Yes your right many countries today are accepting bitcoin as a virtual currency and some of them are accepting them as a legal currency because bitcoin can improve the economy of a country by letting them to use bitcoin as a source of income to help their family, and to provide their basic needs.
It can change the economic of their people for they can sustain their living by doing activities here. Many were treating it us their job since they can earn more here than in their regular job.

Indeed it surely will be provided many advantages for all those who do want to improve their lives, but it will never be good for the continuation of our lives for the future. For if everyone only works in the online world, it is definitely the main thing supporting all activities online will surely be left behind and finally production offline is getting lost. Then the existence of the thing's for sure we're going to be someone who is confused to fix it, because everything is already as a bad thing.
I wouldn't say that it can "improve" but rather it can "change" a country's economy. Major aspects to be affected by wide usage of bitcoin is unemployment to those who are involved in physical money. People would also be consumed by the virtual world and can change the people's lifestyle offline. Also, transactions and means of currency may change and adjust to bitcoin's nature. In that way, bitcoin can really change a country's economy.
change means it can be a good change and a bad change but what I see today most of the bitcoin's influence on a country's economy is positive right ? many people in different countries earn extra income and improve their finances and change the lifestyle for offline transactions into online transactions, although it is possible that bitcoin also has a bad effect on the economy of a country
1845  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the economy situation in your country that bad? on: September 04, 2017, 04:06:36 PM
In the name of development, our government has made various plans and has implemented it over the common public. Now this has termed to be a way for the corporates and other certain institutions to grow actively. Compared to the past years the growth has moved from 6.1 to 5.7

Good for your government, here in my country in terms of development. Politicians doesn't seem to see our country in a good progress in terms of technology and infrastructure. Why I would say it so? In every movement of the good local government they are blocking every good project and I don't understand on how they want the country to be a progressive one if they don't want this to happen.

Politicians are supposed to be the leaders in leading a country to have progress but sadly, there are some who just use their position for their own benefit not thinking of why people put them in power. They are just showing their good side when they are facing the majority but when they are not seen, they are doing ways to do things unthinkable just for them to maintain their status and power. I think this is one of the reasons why the economy is very slow in progressing cause instead of helping each other, they are bringing each other down to accumulate power.

It's not just happening in our country but in every society and other countries for sure this kind of crazy act is happening. Those people that are in power are taking advantage while they are there so that when they stepped down they have a good life that came from an unclean service to the people.
I think if you were in a government environment you would know how devastated the government system is, money becomes god! if you want your project in acc by the House, then you have to bribe them, you have to have money to ask for policy from them, that's what happened. thats why there are so many corruption cases happening in different countries due to greedy politicians
1846  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: September 04, 2017, 03:48:13 PM
Bitcoin has gained global popularity due to its nature of transactions. It is very easy to transact with bitcoin and there are no elaborate procedures involved. It can also not be traced easily that is why many people prefer using it. This feature has made it to be liked by many people thus its likelihood of becoming a global currency is high, specially in a time of a global economical decadence like now...
It seems to me that bitcoin is gaining popularity because for many it has become a source of additional income and sometimes the income becomes more than the basic income. The myth of the privacy of bitcoins is wildly exaggerated. You can always be calculated on exchange transactions.
yeah increasingly popular bitcoin day for certain reasons such as profitable investment, fast transactions, currency freedom, etc. the most important and appropriate to this topic is bitcoin has spread to all corners of the world even in poor country even in africa some people have adopted bitcoin for their transaction tool proven I ever did transaction with nigeria people to buy score tips, it proves that bitcoin already spread and become global currency
1847  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best way to invest/grow your Bitcoins? on: September 04, 2017, 02:45:59 PM
I don't trust all these HYIP websites and I'm looking for a more reliable way to invest.
Any suggestions?
I also like you, I do not trust all these HYIP websites, I've lost a lot of money because HYIP websites. Currently, I earned  Bitcoin from the business and join the signature campaign in the forum. I think you should take part in that campaigns, and if you have money, you should try trading. That's the safest ways to earn Bitcoins that I have applied. Good luck Cheesy

Most of us really don't believe with those HYIP sites because they are a bunch of scams and did many bad things to all of us who believed them earlier. Trading will always be a good place to invest your bitcoins but it is not easy because you are the one who is going to manage your trades but you can use some trading bots if you can afford one.
many people already know that hyip is just a game of money and will definitely scam in time, but why do so many people still use and invest in hyip lol? and I think trading might also provide huge losses and risks if you do not have trade skills. so the key is to grow the bitcoin you have in the field that suits your skills dude

actually I have never seen a state legalize bitcoin and published it directly. and until now I also do not know which countries receive and legalize bitcoin. I know bitcoin can provide a better economy for a person but that does not mean the idea is generalized into a country because surely there must be a negative side effect to the government itself from a bitcoin legalization
1849  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: September 04, 2017, 05:07:34 AM
Do you think if BTC had a stable price which could only be altered by $0.01-0.10 it would still be as popular and as used?
I don't know what the bitcoin will be if the bitcoin had stable price but I think the bitcoin will not become popular. All of the people who are in this cryptocurrency world entered because of the bitcoin. The price is really matter.
fluctuations are the cornerstone of bitcoin investments. one can benefit quickly because of the very fast price changes of bitcoin. the possibility that when the bitcoin price is stable is the popularity of bitcoin will decrease but it will not kill bitcoin because of course investors can still get a profit even if the price is stable. but of course they have to be a little patient as price changes will not be as fast as fluctuations
1850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: September 03, 2017, 11:49:10 PM
How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?

I think bitcoin will only die if there will be no internet in the whole world. That will be one reason, the other reason I think is that btc will die if there will be no people to invest in it. Which explain that it will never die.
Bitcoin will not die if there will be no internet connection because bitcoin is still alive and the only thing that we know is, bitcoin is just in sleep since there is no internet connection and for the second reason that you listed, it is possible to happen if there will be no people invest in bitcoin then it will die because we all know that the difficulty is keep on rising and the price is getting more expensive and making it not affordable anymore for some people so the possibility of investors is getting lower and lower.
Sleep is half death, if you know what I mean. Without internet, BTCs are as good as gone dude. And if you ask my opinion on the second point, it is just impossible. People even buy trash like China do and recycles it and we are talking about the foundation of crypto currency world. It's an idea and it will never die.
I think that will be the problem is the second reason, the price will continue to rise because of the growth and more users. but with this price tag I'm a little worried about the more people who are not interested in bitcoin because of the expensive bitcoin price. let alone the bitcoin team has not been able to solve the problem of a very high fee, if the fee does not decrease along with the expensive bitcoin of course it will be a problem in the future
1851  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: September 02, 2017, 11:32:49 PM
you say it is dream The only way to achieve such status with bitcoin is risking it at forex as well gambling
Forex and gambling is not a legit way to achieve all of your dreams because in forex it will not become an easy thing for you to compete because they are very volatile and anytime you can either lose or win the game and it is almost the same in gambling which only gives you a small chance to win and mostly you will receive a high chance of getting busted.
I don’t know much about forex but definitely gambling is not the right choice for becoming rich. Even if you are gambling with mighty bitcoins, there are very few chances that you will win and even if you win, your greed will push you to play more which will eventually make you a loser.
Bitcoin will surely make you rich as it made many people here. Now we all have sawn the high price of Bitcoin touching 4000$ soon it will be 8000$ and so continue on. The heavy price pump may be due to many new users introduced to bitcoins. Introducing more and more people to bitcoins is the good way to make a good future with bitcoins. Bitcoin has made the people rich who purchased some bitcoins in 2009 and sold in 2017. But even now, we have not too far. Invrsting anytime in bitcoin will be popular and that is good for all the bitcoiners.

many people are starting to believe with the potency of bitcoin prices that will skyrocket in the next few years and it is a good foundation for trust in bitcoin. if you want to be rich you just have to believe and be patient while holding your bitcoin. because within a certain time the price will definitely multiply and you'll get rich by selling your bitcoin
1852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: September 02, 2017, 11:07:18 PM
the plan for my Bitcoin is that I will hold up to $ 5000 because many think Bitcoin will have a price of up to $ 5000. and I think it will happen given the Bitcoin price keeps going up.
With the usage of bitcoins in trading by Chinese merchants and others, the price will be at least 6k dollars by the end of September. I can bet on this. It is already 4546 dollars, yesterday its price were goes to 4700$ or 4800$ which were very close to 5k$ but unfortunately now its price is 4540$ but i think its price is now falls that is for temporarily, so i am sure its price will up to agian within two week, it would be 5k dollars. Looks like your time is near to cash out your BTCs!
By the way, Yesterday the price is around 4950$ which it's too close to 5k$, and this actual price, it will be a correction of price as i think, It's normal because bitcoin increase too much last days from 4400$ to 4950$. So, I think that bitcoin will increase soon and achieve the 5000$ in few weeks later and by the end of this year, it will be at least in the 6k$ level. But i don't advise people to cashout their btc, because it's just the beginning.
actually in some markets and exchanges in various countries bitcoin prices have already reached $5000 some day ago. and currently back down to $ 4500~, maybe down because there are some things, like a lot of people who sell their bitcoin but my plan is to keep bitcoins. I'm sure many potential users will keep coming and increasing demand in the market and in the near future will make the price rise. so I have a plan to hold back longer to earn a bigger profit
1853  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: September 02, 2017, 10:58:45 PM
I do not feel so. Bitcoin can turn into a little further income, but it is now quite challenging to generate.
You dont feel it but thats the reality, a news came out about a teenager who became millionaire because of bitcoin. And he's not going to college anymore, why? When we go to college we always think thay we are about to get good future by being employed to a good company but that kid reversed that thing.
I agree with that, bitcoin not only provides jobs but also gives the possibility to become rich. if you have a skill on something you can use it to get a lot of bitcoin, for example you have good communication and good spoke english. You just need a trust and you can be an escrow, manager, etc. and you'll generate a lot of bitcoin every day.
1854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: September 01, 2017, 10:14:29 AM
Individuals utilize Bitcoin in light of the fact that it is extremely adaptable and has wide region's web where Bitcoin is replaceable with other administration or cash or some other cryptocurrency, You can clear a path a greater number of benefits by simply holding Bitcoin instead of setting all your cash on an investment account.
It seems to me that today Bitcoin is still good for investments and for Bitcoin to contain all its means. Well, it's a bit of an exaggeration to use Bitcoin every day, for paying bills and for basic necessities.
of course bitcoin is still a profitable investment today, look at bitcoin prices continue to show a positive thing with the trend of rising prices continue to occur. that's why so many people out there have to invest in bitcoin because bitcoin has the potential to bring you to huge profits and on the other hand bitcoin has another function as currency (but I do not often use bitcoin for currency)

1856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is ICO ? on: August 29, 2017, 07:14:50 AM
Do you think ICO is a scam

Not all ICO's are scams and not all ICO's are successful.  It's pretty much a high risk investment but you can eliminate some of the risk by researching carefully about the team and vision of the project.

The problem with most people is that they don't do the very necessary due diligence and jump right into the flow without much thinking. At the end of the day, when everything fails, they start pointing fingers at everyone. ICO is never scam, the projects are. So do some serious digging before investing.

That's very true.  People tend to FOMO buy in almost every ICO there is out there without doing any research on the project or even knowing the purpose of the coin or token.  Sometimes you might get lucky but it's not a wise decision in my book.
There are dozens of ICOs that keep coming every time. I think the user must first do research on what ideas and advantages that dev deved to the audience because that's the important thing to determine the profit you'll get. When you choose and buy tokens or ICOs without doing any research first, maybe the risks you'll get are getting bigger because not necessarily the ICO you buy will have a price or a market
1857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin recommendations on: August 28, 2017, 05:55:43 PM
Hello everyone Smiley
I need some recommendations. I'm in a position where I have bunch of BTC to invest into altcoins, I'm usually on the other side stuck with all my BTC in alts so if anyone has any recommendations they would be very welcome. Thanks in advance! Grin

I would not recommend a coin for you, because other friends have given you a lot of choices.
I think you will be troubled with some choices.
You should be more patient, you can learn first before everything becomes pointless,
after your new ready to buy for allcoin.
Good luck
There are hundreds of altcoins on the market, and there are dozens of altcoins that keep coming. if you are looking for the altcoin I recommend you to invest on Etherum. Maybe many other users will agree with it but if you want to look for another potential altcoin maybe you can see some ICOs with their brilliant ideas. maybe you can buy one of the potential and get rich when the price really pump
1858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best altcoin on: August 28, 2017, 05:51:24 PM
bitcoincash, just 3 week launched have high price.
Upsss, is bitcoincash includ clasified to altcoin?
Bitcoin Cash really now has a relatively high rate - $ 600. However, this coin constantly falls in price and many do not support it. I do not think that now it is necessary to invest in this coin, especially in the long term. I personally like Ethereum, Monero, Litecoin. I believe that these altcoys deserve attention and they will be promising.
I'm not so familiar with bitcoin-cash, and what's the difference with the bitcoin we use today? So I can not judge is it bitcoin-cash including altcoin or not ? and is a good investment or not? but I think etherum is a profitable altcoin. The price of etherum has a significant increase even higher when compared to bitcoin by the same year
1859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What would you do with 10 eth on: August 28, 2017, 05:45:54 PM
Hi Guy's,

Where would you invest 10 eth in when you can and why? Smiley

Well if i do have that big amount of eth i think i would invest it in other altcoins, buy other altcoins that is base on etherium then try to make profit for it. 10 eth is big money almost equivalent to 1btc and that is huge. Mostly i do trading more on the eth base coins so i do prefer buying from and convert it into bitcoin and buy another potential coins.
I think than using etherum to buy other altcoin which is not necessarily a profit. it would be better if you keep eth for longer time dude. Because many people say that etherum have potential that is also very big like bitcoin, etherum also has a big community, why don't you keep it until the future and get a profit. than to exchange it with another altcoin that does not necessarily have a bright future?
1860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO to invest this summer ? on: August 28, 2017, 05:42:55 PM
This - "There are a few good startups out there. I still believe it's unreasonable to invest millions into startups that have no product and only a proposal. Huh ICO should be about serious and dedicated teams that need the extra push in terms of capital"

Agreed. The days of huge raises by ICOs from organizations with no products or track record are numbered.
it's like investing in someone's idea right ? But if the ICO has a lot of investors and enthusiasts of course that coin it will have a large market and has a high price and that's what all ICO fans are looking for. because they want to earn profits doubled. because it is not uncommon for many ICOs to have a high price after launching in some exchange site
