1841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 10, 2022, 07:17:00 PM
Some key players dropped out of the squad that would represent England in the world cup and Gareth Southgate quite impressed with his selection. There are many players I wish could be fit before the world cup but I guess wrong, Reece James and ben Chilwell due to injuries. But Tomori and Lingard not getting a call up by Southgate is really frustrating for the players who are trying their best to fit in. Either way, he got the best squad he knows he can handle accordingly to his strategy.
The English team has a lot of players, It can become very confusing for any coach selecting a 26 man squad from their list of players. Their biggest blow will be Reece James who is not going with them. I was also expecting to see Ivan Toney considering how good he has been this season with Brentford. Impressive to see Madison from Leicester making the list.

No surprise about the selection of the French team from the French coach, It would have not been a complete list without Saliba. Also Mbappe and Giroud connect well, better than Mbappe and Benzema, but I am sure the coach will find a way for them all to fit in and provide playing time for all of them.
1842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copying Bet From Other Unknown Bettors, Is This a Good Practice? on: November 10, 2022, 06:07:35 PM
Like we all know. or maybe some of us already know, Stake.com has this feature that allows a bettor to copy other user's bet, It doesn't matter and you don't actually have to know who owns the bet you are copying, what important is that if you copy another bettor's bet, and that bettor's bet wins, you win as well, amount you win you already know depends on the amount you stake, so also, if that bet losses, you loss as well.
This feature of copying bet slips will be favorable to people who are lazy and unwilling to learn about a game. It encourages lazy people to still bet regardless of if they know a game or not. It can be a wrong approach to betting as it discourages you to learn about a game and encourages you to become lazier. I know and have  heard of cases where people copy bet slips from people that they know but hearing about people copying from unknown people sounds too desperate for me. I'll habe doubts and will not be comfortable staking my money on a bet slip that I got from someone who I have no personal relationship with and cannot attest to his ability to stake games correctly.

And just like that Graham Potter failed as coach of Chelsea...
Graham potter was a great choice was what i heard often when he first joined the club and Chelsea were enjoying consecutive wins. Chelsea has now lost consecutively and all of a sudden everyone is talking about letting go of a coach that just joined them. I will not be quick to conclude that the coach is not good for the team, just that he needs a little more time to settle in with the players, understand and know that he is now the coach of one of the biggest teams in England and needs to be more tactical, and during the transfer window in January get some more players of his choice and choosing.
1844  Economy / Economics / Re: Meta fires 11k employees - Effect of economy or being bullish about metaverse? on: November 09, 2022, 05:30:11 PM
2. Meta had invested heavily on Metaverse which failed to find users or ways to earn revenue. Now the investment is lost and putting huge financial pressure on Meta.
The metaverse project has really cost Mark Zuckerberg a lot without a very good result.

1. They are preparing themselves for the upcoming recession and forecasted negative business revenues for upcoming year.
If they had not invested in the metaverse project, I'm very certain that they would not have laid off as many as 11,000 employees over claims of recession and a negative business prediction. The effects and the position that the metaverse project has put them must have encouraged this move to ensure that they remain in business.
1845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of not letting others know about your crypto holdings on: November 09, 2022, 12:54:49 PM
the lesson here is to never tell anyone exact amount you hold. You can inform just one member like your parents or wife about this so that they can recover the funds in case anything happens to you but never tell this information to casual friends or distant relatives.
We often trust too much, and trust is an expensive commodity in the market these days. For people you trust, when you are around them, the tendency to let your guard down becomes higher simply because you trust them. Even apart from not letting and telling people you think you trust know the exact amount of crypto you have; you should also avoid giving an exact amount of fiat that you have especially when it is an amount that can be tempting to someone.

People you trust can still exploit that trust you have in them and take advantage of you. As an individual, it is now better to always keep the trust you have in people under constant reevaluation, so you will always be conscious and will be difficult to be taken off guard.

Sadio Mane injured for about a month, no world cup for him and Senegal chances of doing something down the drain. I am sure big Bayern victory yesterday was enough for him to be happy about...
This is very disappointing and heartbreaking, I doubt that Senegal will be able to cope without him, he is a very influential name on the pitch for them and I was already seeing a situation where it is possible for Senegal to go past the group stages. But with this new development of Sadio Mane injured and out of the world cup, it is still possible they qualify, but their chances have been greatly reduced. This news of him not playing will affect the morale of the national team squad, Senegal was the African team I was supporting to go far in the world cup, without Mane, Cameroon has my support.
1847  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This is why it's not a good idea to leave your coins on any exchange on: November 08, 2022, 08:23:33 PM
On the positive sides of things, a benefit of this feud between the two CEO's is that it is raising an additional awareness on the importance of cold storages and why it is good for people to be responsible for the security of their coins, I hope that people learn. If you must leave any coin in an exchange, it should be an amount you are willing to risk loosing or you have an intention to trade with. If you are not a trader, you have no business stacking up coins in an exchange pointlessly, that is a newbies idea of hodling.

Klopp is a good coach, it will be wise to keep him at the club despite this tough and struggling times, he has proven himself to be a good coach and this times come as phases and will definitely pass, he should do everything to finish in top four, qualify for the Champions league.
Top four will be very impossible for Liverpool this season, top six perhaps, but top four? highly unlikely.

On update about the most likely company to purchase the club from FSG, rumors are that there are interest from some billionaires in the middle east.
Quote
investors in Dubai could be eyeing a purchase for Liverpool FC, England’s most successful football club, people familiar with the matter said.

This would be the second time that Dubai has attempted to purchase the club, with a bid in 2007 falling through. Dubai International Capital “almost signed” for a takeover of the club in 2007 for $360 million, the former DIC boss told Arabian Business.

How much do you think the club will be valued and sold at currently if it was estimated at $360million in 2007, the news say they are planning a $5billion bid, is that amount appropriate?

1849  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: November 08, 2022, 07:22:56 PM
Nigerian Naira is Drastically Devalued and news came that it is because of the redesigning of the Naira by CBN and those who had stored a lot of money in their houses are depositing the money in the bank and transferring or converting it to dollar for safety.
We keep hearing this government always looking for where to put the blame each time, before the announcement of the redesigning of our currency, the naira has been loosing value against the dollars, so that excuse to me cannot be the only reason. The bad thing is that if we continue pushing blames and the people in charge don't find a solution to rescue the naira, and our naira starts exchanging at 1000naira/dollar, that will not be the end , but risk becoming the new norm.
1850  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you consider appearance in business and employment? on: November 08, 2022, 07:01:03 PM
In my location you must wear a suit, a shirt tucked in good pants with a tie, or a well-tailored native attire, to prove that you are ready for business or employment. Wearing a jean, T-shirt or any casual wear is indecent in business and you would be treated like an unserious individual.
There are different kinds of businesses, and depending on the kind of business, there is an appropriate dress code for it. Rather than setting the standard of the dressing of a serious business man to be a well tucked in suit, considering the kind of business someone does can be important in knowing if someone is properly dressed or not, and if they are serious or not. For some businesses the serious dress code could be a jean, safety boots and a t-shirt, if you wear a swell tucked in suit, you can be well dressed according to you, but not properly dressed, hence may be an indication of un-seriousness, because an individual who is serious about his business is expected to also know the proper dress code suited for his career business to show he knows his job.
1851  Economy / Economics / Re: Majority of Americans Back New Stimulus Checks To Combat Inflation on: November 08, 2022, 05:53:29 PM
The funny thing about stimulus is that only a small fraction of the money actually ends up with the common people.
Scammers will celebrate on hearing this sort of news, more stimulus checks mean more money they can divert by impersonation and stealing the identities of citizens entitled to such benefits to apply for the stimulus packages. To really ensure that Americans get this stimulus checks to assist in this inflation, the authorities will have to do a better job in increasing security and ensuring the process is not easy for scammers to infiltrate.
1852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stages on: November 07, 2022, 10:31:27 PM
It's a good challenge for themselves, both for Manchester and Barcelona it's a test they both should have to judge themselves, it's good news for Barcelona that the game won't be held anytime soon cause they are in a poor form.
Barcelona have been the winner many times in this encounter over the years but I think this time will be a little bit different and harder to win. Manchester United are not a team to underate this time under their new coach the have shown competence playing big teams and I'm sure they can replicate that form next year against Barcelona when they play in the Europa. Predicting this game I will even tip Manchester United to win.
1853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 07, 2022, 09:43:13 PM
As for those who are already concerned about Lionel Messi's injury, I think you should know that it is nothing serious.
Messi barely stays injured for long, it is one attribute that has blossomed his career in football. This world cup will most likely be his last world cup. As a country, Argentina cannot afford to go into this world cup without their talisman. We will see some action packed football, Argentina cannot go slacking. After looking at the Brazilian squad for the world cup, every team will have to come with their best players, because if world cup are won based on depth of a squad, brazil are already in the finals.
1854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Does Gambling/Casino Ads Help An Addicted Gambler Who Wants To Stop Gambling on: November 07, 2022, 09:27:55 PM
I began to imagine myself as a gambling addict who is struggling to quit or reduce my gambling habit, and going online and seeing Ads of different kinds from different casinos, would this Ads lure the gambler back into gambling notwithstanding that he or she is trying to stop ?
When you make a decision to quit gambling, you should also know that it is not going to be an easy decision. With that notice, you should expect temptations that will want to lure you back to change your decisions. If staying offline for a while to avoid gambling ads since you know you can't control it will help, you can try that option, I have met people who have decided to stay offline for even lesser reason.
1855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stage on: November 07, 2022, 08:22:11 PM

LIVERPOOL - REAL MADRID
I was looking up to see if Mo salah will make any funny tweets about the game, I haven't seen anything yet seems he's deciding to keep mute this time. it will take a great game and some tactical genius for Liverpool to defeat real Madrid.

FRANKFURT - NAPOLI
I'll be looking out for Victor Osimhen, hopefully injury does not spoil his fine form

PSG - BAYERN
As much as many people think that PSG is a write-off in this game I actually think they have a chance if they can actually just defend properly and depend on the ability of Messi neymar and mbappe to score goals.
1856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 07, 2022, 07:27:22 PM
Let's say they fired Klopp. Who will replace him? I think it would be unfair to think that while Klopp's progress in the champions league was very good, he should be fired because they got into this situation in the league. He made it to the final and lost in the champions league. The next level of this is already getting the trophy. I believe it will be successful. They will use the Premier League as a tool to reach the Champions League this season. You can't be a champion every year. Such drops are quite normal. I agree with what has been written and I don't think Liverpool have any plans to fire Klopp.
If Klopp leaves Liverpool it's their loss, because it will be a while for them to see a good coach as him. They did not have a great start to the premier League campaign that is why they have found themselves at their current position and other teams in the premier League this season are really doing well not giving any chance for any big team that doesn't deserve to be top four to be there. They have struggled to adjust to playing without Sadio Mane,  but now they are picking up and Mo' Salah is becoming more confident and scoring. In my opinion they still have a good chance to finish top 6.

If Chelsea doesn't get Nkunku that's all their fault, they made him so relevant even after the windows were close.
There are rumours that Chelsea and Manchester city are interested in Rafael Leão from AC Milan, Chelsea will be a better option for Rafael, he will have a better playing opportunity than in Manchester city where Haaland has pegged his mark.

1857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fear not, and be bold to move on. on: November 06, 2022, 08:13:34 PM
1) Fear of failure: fear of failur is among some of the things that made some people give up easily in the community, because they lack personal research to know if what they heard is true or not before carry out their operation. Fear of failur can be articulated in being afraid of never having what it is that we want, or attaining what we want and not being satisfied, not knowing how to accept what we have asked for, and move into that place.
Your write-up is a bit difficult to understand but if I understand you properly I do not see any reason why someone, a newbie in particular who is new here in forum now becoming afraid of failing when the forum does not conduct any form of test on forum users. So how are they failing? it is less fear and more of inferiority complex that I think is the issue here. A confident individual will have no issues settling down here and becoming a part of discussions.
1858  Economy / Economics / Re: Personal greed Will create quick pmp up prices of assets and then dmp on: November 06, 2022, 07:07:19 PM
Right now in world people have problems to pay bills and Same time Property prices not falling and rent prices not either because of greed of the property owners.
Immediately I read this offensive line about property owners being greedy I didn't bother going through the remaining write up because I know it may be filled with a lot of emotional one sided talk. Property owners who you have called greedy have also been affected by the economic hardship, they have to adjust the prices of the property to ensure that they stay in value, that is why they say investment in landed property or property is a good investment that appreciate with time, it appreciates by property owners adjusting the prices of the properties.
1859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 06, 2022, 06:08:48 PM
Chelsea only had 1 shot on goalie so I can't agree on Chelsea playing well as they were not even close to a great game of football and they should be glad Arsenal scored only once.
On a day that many people must have expected Arsenal to drop points, we still somehow manage to win in Stamford Bridge. My star players for the game were Saliba, Gabriel, Partey and Jesus. Today we proved that we can still play against top teams and that this season may actually be the season we be leaders of league, I hope.

Tottenham has scored a goal to reduce Liverpool's lead to 2-1, I will not be surprised if the game ends in a draw because that has been the habit of Tottenham recently, which is scoring late goals. Good to see Kuluvseski back on for spurs. For Liverpool, Mo Salah looks back in form.
1860  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto exchanges charging for inactive accounts . Do you support this ? on: November 06, 2022, 08:47:32 AM
I read a similar topic on the gambling section about gambling platforms charging users for inactivity in their gambling account, maybe that idea originated from observing crypto exchanges.

There is a new practice among crypto exchanges to charge its users if they are inactive on the exchange.
Perhaps the reason is because they spend extra reserving that space for you on their server or to encourage you to trade or take your money to a wallet if you won't trade with it.

If you are not comfortable with the practice, you can use another trading services that has not yet taken up that practice of charges for inactivity.
