841  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should we see bitcoin as? on: August 13, 2023, 11:55:46 PM
Bitcoin as a source of income or as an investment plan, which is better?
Mostly people who know nothing about bitcoins think it is a source of income, which is misguided. Bitcoin is not a traditional source of income and was not created for that purpose. You cannot  get profit from bitcoins without any major input in it. It can yield you profits from long term investments but not a short term immediate source of income like a get rich quick scheme.

Study the main purpose for the creation of bitcoins and see it for what it was created which is for mainly seamless transactionary purpose.

My main issue right now is Gabriel, who no longer looks like a starter and has lost his starting place to Ben White.

Gabriel =>> Saliba
Arteta surprised many of us today with his team selection. Maybe he is trying to copy Pep nd his rotation, but he was lucky that it did not cost us the game else he would have been heavily criticized for not starting Gabriel. I am sure Gabriel will start some other games.

Timber who looked promising for us this season is already out injured, No real news on the extent of his injury. He was a part of my team before, I had to take him out. Good decision on my end.

Then I do not know WTF it is difficult for Ramsdale and Arsenal to keep a clean sheet, it is embarrassing! I did not expect Nottingham Forest to score in that game, they ruined things for me.

By the way, seems like Foden, DeBruyne and Rico Lewis will start while Stones, Ruben and Guardiol will not start. Pep roulette hits defense in GW1 just to give you a taste of what is to come  Grin Not confirmed yet but usually reliable source.
I know I cannot always trust the updates from Livescore.com, But from the team line-up from their end, Foden and Rico Lewis are not in the starting XI. De Bruyne is on starting, Ruben Dias and Stones too.

Maybe Gvardiol will play some minutes in the second half, Foden as well.

I did everything I could to get over 30 of us ... now we are 36.
You did a good job @icopress, Thank you for the reminder via PM.

Enjoy your beer Cheesy

Can't add Ramsdale, too many Arsenal players :/
Havertz on your team? really?

I think Arteta will get the best out of him Smiley
I hope so too, Havertz threw away two huge chances in the community shield, if he continues like that, He will not remain in the first team choice. But with Arsenal having limited choice in front, He will have the time to prove himself until Jesus returns.

My team is ready!
My team is ready too!

I'm surpised that everyone has shared their squad beforehand. Thank you guys for letting me copy from you. I hope that these squads being shared aren't a trap.
I am surprised to see some players in some squad selections!

Can't add Ramsdale, too many Arsenal players :/

848  Other / Meta / Re: Is resetting a BTT account password bad? on: August 10, 2023, 05:38:42 PM
4. I always think of BTT as a highly valuable platform.  I'm in fear that my BTT account would get compromised someday if I saved my password in an online place.
It is a highly valuable platform, but not to people that do not know about it. A regular cybercriminal or criminal who comes across your bitcointalk account password will not be interested in it if they do not know what it is, and if your account is low profiled especially.

So I never saved my password anywhere. (I know I should have used a diary to note down my password.)
You forget easily like you have identified, not keeping your password anywhere is a terrible choice to make. If you cannot recover it any day things get mixed up in your head, your account is gone.

Write your password down in your dairy in a format that nobody will be able to decipher. Just devise a means that only you know.

850  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: This idea go reduce our daily expenses. on: August 10, 2023, 05:24:40 PM
This electric bike we fit carry am go work, strolling and even go markets to buy something's, you fit still even use some carry somebody and e dey easy to drive just like the way gasoline motorcycle dey, now way the price of fuel dey up if we get am e go reduce our expenses small nah just to charge the electric bike that's all but you go need engine oil, but that one nah once in a while, I see the one of $300 and I try to order am online
The electric bike will be a good solution but not to everyone because we do not have a steady supply of electricity first and as a result, you may end up needing to turn on your generator to charge your electric bike.

You also have to know that not everybody can ride a bike, or see bike as something safe to ride on, and also charging of this electric bike with electricity from our homes will increase the cost of Electricity unit consumed for those of us that use PPM, and increase the amount we spend on payment for electricity unit. This way out to reduce expenses will be beneficial for people who have electricity with a fixed bill.

Instead of looking for ways to reduce your daily expense, look for ways to make more money and become more financially disciplined and stable because expenses never stop or reduce, they keep increasing especially as the economy worsen.

852  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: August 08, 2023, 09:36:32 AM
1. Real estate - It's probably one of the safest investment option out there. Inflation rises, rent and apartment prices rise too, if inflation turns into deflation, your rent/apartment price still remains the same. With half a million, you can buy two or more good apartments in eastern Europe and live on your rent income.
I have always loved Real Estate, because it is a stronger investment for me than cryptocurrencies are. If you disagree, do not forget that cryptocurrency, bitcoin in particular was not created for investment reasons.

If you invest in Real Estate, It is a business also, a particular kind of business that has proven to be able to make people rich with time if done well. For the steady profit from your real estate if it is a rental or huge profit from sales in like a few years time when the value of the property appreciates, You will have enough to live a comfortable life and still enough to invest.

I have such a voluminous semantic load ready to blow, it's got my hopping around my house as though at a rave, high on E, clutching my zipper and screaming "Baby, you got me!!!".

Now then.  Should any of you think you possess writing skills as imaginative as mine and so luminous that the words you read appear to be lit from within by a million suns, you may attempt to come at me with your tiny daggers but you will be slain by mine own hand with a sword forged from the hardest metal and sharpest of all edges.  I will write circles large and small around all of you, which I will then arrange into a symbol of shame for you to wear until you are finally placed face-down into your cheap plasterboard coffin and buried deep under the mountain of my genius.  ***This is a JOKE.***

Any takers?

854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: WAFCON in FIFA Women's World Cup/23 on: August 07, 2023, 05:19:32 PM
England red card is the perfect sum of what the objective was.
We failed to capitalize on it and we were punished for it. Another failed attempt to break the record of getting to the round of 16 stage and never passing it in the world cup.

Nigeria guys, what a team! I don't follow and I don't know what's been going on behind the scenes with coaching and team buildup but you know how to defend!
Our super falcons are indeed very talented! All our players played to perfection the role that they were given to play and it is such a pity that they could not win England on penalties even after having a  decision of penalty first ruled out, then the red card.

Another explanation of how the super falcons were in this competition, but no evidence again, they did not win!
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: WAFCON in FIFA Women's World Cup/23 on: August 07, 2023, 06:58:52 AM
Today, the Nigerian Super Falcons would face England. Personally, I am in high spirits and expect a win from the girls. I look forward to Asisat and Alozie taking the team to the next round of the competition. I know that the role of teamwork cannot be downplayed as the two aforementioned players can't do it alone. No doubt, this is going to be one of the toughest games the girls would play in this competition and so by all means, they must win. Losing is not an option. Predictions; 2- 1 in favor of Nigeria.
We gotta be tough against the three lions if we will win this game. We can kick them out just like Sweden did to the US. Chiamaka Nnadozie needs to be as good as Zecira Musovic was for Sweden yesterday in the goal, even better. Asisat Oshoala will come off the bench for Nigeria, so we will need to depend on Uchenna Kanu for the first half. Lauren James, Alessia Russo are players that our defenders need to watch out for. Hope we do not get eliminated like South Africa, we are the real hope for African teams in this competition, not morocco or South Africa that just left.

Spoke with Rruchiman from my community and he has expressed interest to join us this season. This is his first time so he might need help.
I sure will be joining you all this season! I look forward to the banter already Cheesy

Did you watch this game or are you writing about Kovačić from your Chelsea experience? I think he was arguably the best City player while he was on pitch, helping a lot with the transition and it was his first official game for the club.
Mateo Kovacic was the best player for Manchester City while he was on, he got subbed off because Manchester City needed a touch of Kevin De Bruyne's creativity to influence the game, not because he was not playing well.

Timber is a breast! Loving him already.
I was very impressed with him and the number of blocks and interceptions he made. His versatility makes him a very important signing for Arsenal.

I am rooting for Arsenal to kick City's ass today. GO Gunners!!! Cool
I love my club, but I am not so sure that we can win against Manchester city. I feel Manchester city has even improved more from the success of last season, and they will be brimming with confidence.

I will like to see Arsenal win to give our team the confidence entering next season.

Havertz playing in strike position for us and I just hope he will be clinical because this is the time to prove that he is worth what Arsenal paid for him, also Declan Rice.

Also, there's no De Bruyne for Manchester city, that can limit their play against us because of how much we know he dominates games against Arsenal.

The introduction of Amrabat would be a very good step because Amrabat is an already proven player and has proven himself in the world cup and if he replicates such performance in United then I means that their mid position would be really strengthened, according to news he was left out in training and recent pre-season matches with Fiorentina and his arrival is imminent with the possine departure of several players like Van De Beek and Fred
Manchester United is a totally complete team to me if you ask me, they have players in every where from a new goalkeeper, to new midfielders and a new striker Rasmus Hojland who many have compared to Haaland saying they play similarly. Manchester United have all it takes to win next season.

For my beloved club Arsenal, I do not understand why we have refused to go for a real striker that is a proven goal scorer. We continue to depend on Jesus and Nketiah who we had last season. The season is about starting and Gabriel Jesus is already injured! Are we going to depend on Nketiah again or Arteta intends to use other players like Martinelli or Havertz?

To me, Arsenal deserve a real striker that is very consistent, can score in a few touches and does not get injured easily. We cannot go into this season to be mediocre again. We have suffered too much banter as supporters of this club.
