1841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: June 26, 2022, 11:47:00 PM
But it seems he looks very fresh in the Murata fight and won the fight hands down, but Canelo was slow at 175 lbs. But we can't say if this is going to be GGG's last fight. Boxers tend to fight just one last fight before they hang up their gloves for real.

GGG received lots of open shots by Murata in the early rounds. That is supposed to be an easy dodge for GGG but still, Murata is able to connect lots of it.

If those punches are much strong, GGG might end up being knocked out. We really see that GGG is now showing signs of slowing down but still, his durability is still strong. I just hope those punches that GGG receives by Murata won't happen here against Canelo. GGG should not allow again being a punching bag at early rounds as Canelo is different from Murata.

It's risky to receive early blows on the early rounds as he might not recover like what he did against Murata.
1842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: June 26, 2022, 11:40:31 PM
As much as they want to fight each other the soonest time, they really have to negotiate first specially the magnitude of this fight. And then we have the ego of this two in equation, but maybe Crawford will give in to the 60/40 split just to make this fight happen. I think the location can be settled in as usually the venue have been reserved by major promoters and networks, it's who is going to fight on that said date.

I think there's no problem for Terence Crawford accepting the much small split on 60/40. After all, unifying all the titles is much more important as it will establish Crawford as one of the great Welterweight who holds several titles. That will also make him a boxer to beat by those other high names.

The problem is, if Spence wants a much higher share which it's totally not making sense now regardless of his ability to sold-out tickets and generate money on all of his PPV fights. That was just speculation though and I'm sure we are just excited about the official announcement. Smiley
1843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 26, 2022, 11:33:48 PM

Looks like John Riel Casimero doesn't like the idea of having a small bout first and climbing the rank again.

He requested to WBO that he should be assigned as a mandatory challenger for Paul Butler. That's the only way to face the current Bantamweight King Naoya Inoue who now unified the 3 bantamweight titles without fighting on any tune-up first.

I hope Casimero's request will be granted although if really granted, he should not waste his final chance to take a shot against Inoue and worked properly on his weight-related problems that keep him inactive for 2 fights already. That was alarming as it just shows that he is not fit to fight.
1844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 26, 2022, 11:23:27 PM
Nevertheless, this might be the one, specially if he wins in an emphatic fashion against a tough Mexican Warrior in Vargas. And for sure winning by a knock out will put him in notice for fans, analyst and even networks.

A clean Knockout win or a full dominance in every round By Magsayo - should make people convinced that he won the fight clearly.

There's really not convinced at how Magsayo won against Russell but for me, it's not that he will be expected to dominate easily the fight just because the latter is handicapped and dealing with a shoulder injury. Russell, despite his injury, is still performing well and gives Magsayo a hard road to win.

Moving forward, let's just wait and see if Magsayo will show a championship instinct in this fight. After all, this is only his first title defense since he snatches the title from Russell. Let's give him a break and just judge him after this fight.
1845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Government Owned Online Casinos What Do You Think Of Its Potential on: June 26, 2022, 11:10:36 PM
That's much better because the government itself owns that 100% entirety of the casinos all over the country and its mandate was to be controlled and report to the Office of the President. That said $600 Million or ₱30 Billion was the revenue of the 1st trimester and not the whole year so imagine how would a country benefit for that whole year, unfortunately, I think that funds was already exhausted because Covid-19 wrecked havoc in the following year.

Not that totally exhausted because lots of gambling firms under the regulation of PAGCOR were also hyped during the pandemic and one of the popular ones is the e-sabong. Because of the hyped on these games, the government was able to sustain the revenues coming from gambling.

As per the report, E-sabong gives the government Php 642 million a month. Imagine, it's a billion figures in just a year, and take note, physical casinos are not even operating and this revenue is just for e-sabong alone. What's more, if it includes other gambling?

That gives way for the government to continue providing funding for hospitals and medicine-related stuff aside from the usual spending on infrastructure for example. That's how well the gambling industry here in PH that's why taking down illegal ones are a priority.
1846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Macau's Casino Operation Continues Despite The Latest Outbreak on: June 26, 2022, 11:01:40 PM
Macau should plan some alternate way to keep the country's economy stable, when there is no big profit from the gambling industry.

There's no country I believed that can keep its economy stable when dealing with a big Covid outbreak.

Or did I miss one that still performs well amid a massive lockdown?

The government here surely, of course, has some alternatives and other options but it's just that, they are really a gambling country and they surely have lots of money on reserves even for let's say they will stop their gambling operations there for at least a year. They can surely cover what they lose.
1847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You See Or Tell If A Fight Or Event Is Fix ? on: June 26, 2022, 10:55:08 PM
Anyway, speaking about rigged games/fight. There's this speculation about Jake Paul vs Tyroon Woodley that the latter was forced to get KO'd and videos are surfacing in the internet about what was Jake Paul is trying to say in the ring moments before Woodley got KO'd. What do you think about it guys?

That was too smooth for a rigged. Before that Knock Out punch, everything is doing fine on both sides and you can't even think that it's a rigged.

Even though I watched some related videos to see how it's done, we don't know what happened on that. It's a perfect rigged if that's really rigged and all I can say is if they can pull out that smooth act, what's more to their future fights?

I want to disregard the rigged since Woodley isn't really an impressive fighter after all before that fight. Comes from a 4-consecutive loss and is almost at the end of his career. They just do the fight for entertainment purposes to grab some money.
1848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 25, 2022, 11:51:51 PM
The rumors of a Kevin Durant trade to Portland just heated up quite a bit as Dame posted a picture of KD and him in Trailblazers jerseys to his Instagram. Probably just wishful thinking on Dame’s part, but interesting that he’s fueling the fire of these rumors. I can understand why though. Dame has never played with anyone near Durant’s talent and Portland has been trying hard to get him some help. I thought this was nonsense, but maybe there’s some reality to these rumors.

Damian Lillard is still following his stand not to change teams even though he already hinted several times that he might find a new home. For me, that makes sense to do and he should be supposed to do it for a long time now. Portland Blazers failed to surround him with good role players and I don't know why Lillard is still staying with them regardless of the contract he signed for.

But yes, that rumor is non-sense as that is not close to be happening. Kevin Durant will stay on Brookly Nets and probably will just wait to use his Player Option (if any) before considering switching teams in the near future depending on where the team will end up every season.
1849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 25, 2022, 11:46:16 PM

Why everyone is pointing out or now concerned about Magsayo being confident or not lol. Of course, it's good to be confident but not to the point that Magsayo will consider his opponent as a small fry. Can someone tell me when is the time Magsayo becomes like that? He knows himself more than us and we can't speak about him being confident or not. He knows what he doing and just trusts the process.

But no crypto sportsbook has listed this fight yet? It is like about couple of weeks and no bookie yet listing for the odds. Magsayo may be the slight favorite here. But yes, he should not be very confident as Vargas seemed to be a good boxer on his own.

As usual, like in every title fight involving a Pinoy boxer, crypto-sportsbook just lists the fight around 1-2 days before the fight. If it's much early, then that was surprising. The only fight they are listing early involving a Pinoy boxer is during the time Manny Pacquiao is still active in boxing.
1850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: June 25, 2022, 11:41:02 PM
Even though we haven't heard any 'official announcement' yet, might be just sometime now as they might have been ironing out few things before going out in public.

And as mentioned, maybe the date and venue is one obstacles that they have to settled. The network will have to come out as the best place for this fight is, and then the date itself.. I think money wise and split, verbally they could have talk it down already. And we are going to be privilege to witnessed another great fight if this happens this year.

I agree with you. I even think this fight is now almost a deal but just a few things are being properly fixed before the official announcement.

In the first place, there's no other boxer that both Terence Crawford and Errol Spence should fight but between the two of them. Even the majority of boxing analysts and known personalities are throwing their respective opinion that the fight should happen no matter what.

This is a fight that has no excuses or reason to delay or what. We will surely see this fight happening this year. There's no doubt about that. Maybe they are not planning to hold it close to the date of one of the biggest fights also this year, the trilogy between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin.
Well this is something very interesting, and I hope it happens like this, but I think that the main reason why they want the fight to happen is because of the amount of money that is involved there, I don't see that they do it for the pure interest of boxing, I don't think that it be for that, rather the most logical thing is because of the business model, because the big investors are willing to make juicy millionaire bets, and with respect to the trilogy, that Canelo vs. GGG is something that is good is positive, but in my personal opinion I don't see this fight as exciting, because CANELO has faltered a lot, who I see as good for making good fights is the Russian Bivol.

Money really matters but it's not the only main reason why these 2 want to fight. There's an unsettled business between Crawford and Spence that is working for progress for a long and they need to put an end to it to see who's the best at their division.

This fight is not just a fight that is organized for nothing.

Crawford currently holds the WBO Welterweight titles
Spence currently holds the IBF, WBA and WBC Welterweight titles

In boxing, there's a so-called unification match and that is a big chance for a boxer to become an undisputed champion in that division. Without a big recognition and good boxing credentials, even a boxer wants to fight for money, but that's all useless as they won't able to make a good ticket sales and PPV views that's why this fight is not just about money for these boxers.
1851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Trends For 2022 on: June 25, 2022, 11:30:56 PM
and actually some gambling site have the trend of using NFTs to give more privileges to some gambler and I think this can be the next big thing in crypto gambling.

NFT is overhyped. I doubt it will be the next big thing in crypto-gambling. I even don't see why or how.

Let alone NFT dominates the other crypto-industry but don't expect it will be a big thing in crypto-gambling.

Gamblers will always be gamblers and they will prefer the usual. Crypto-gambling will surely grow thanks to the popular crypto-gambling sites that make it possible by doing big partnerships and sponsorships. The big marketing that these sites do contributes to the popularity of crypto-gambling and not because of this NFT overhype.
1852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 24, 2022, 11:55:13 PM
Disregard any technical analysis if you want to bet on who really you like.

It's like supporting a boxer disregarding the opponent's strength just like we did in some previous fight involving a PH boxer. After all, it's really hard to speculate on what type of winning methods does this fight will end.

For now, I'm not seeing a TKO on both boxers but a point dominance by Magsayo. He can take advantage of his quickness in the early rounds just like before. I'm also expecting him to be a different boxer now with much more replenished stamina as that's the problem he is facing before.
1853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: June 24, 2022, 11:46:17 PM
This is not the first time that the community has experienced a bearish trend, the same goes for a bullish trend.

Just look at how crypto-gambling evolves over several years. It was become a trendy thing in the online gambling world due to the fact that it offers several advantages compared to the usual fiat online gambling. If that is what happened for several years, can we still ask if the bitcoin dump has any impact on gamblers? Surely the answer is NO because whatever the trend is, crypto-gambling is growing day by day as we speak. It evolving more and making sounds to the online gambling world.

Gambling will always have the same approach as gamblers. They will just continue to gamble disregarding the crypto price volatility.
1854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Trends For 2022 on: June 24, 2022, 11:37:13 PM
Gamble on the amount which you can afford to lose which is the main rule when you do gamble or even on investments too where you cant really just make out some reckless decisions because you would really affecting in overall.

Honestly, there's nothing wrong to gamble on the amount beyond anyone's limit or afford to lose as long as these people know what they are dealing with and the possible consequences that they might face later on. I don't really have that kind of mindset as that will just ruin my focus. My main goal is how to increase my chances of winning no matter what. I'm talking about betting on sports betting in which we are not just relying on luck to win.

Anyways, this statement of mind is not applicable if a person is playing luck-based gambling games. Here, gambling with the amount they afford to lose should be applied no matter what as in gambling, we should not just rely on luck to win.
1855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Type of Gambler Am I? on: June 24, 2022, 11:32:34 PM
I have read several threads on gambling discussion but it looks like many of us do not understand what gambling really is.  Someone even defines gambling as a psychological disorder, while others categorize gambler as criminals. Funny how many of us can't even differentiate gambling terminologies.

I've begun to be curious about this. Can you give some sample threads? I think those people are just lurking there because you know, obviously.  In general, there are lots of real gamblers here that probably know what they're doing. I know many users here that really know what gambling is, how gambling should be, knows the technicality of a certain gambling type, and co-sports-bettor like me.

I haven't read yet those different types but I'm a regular gambler and I think my life is not complete without gambling. Smiley

Am I addicted already? Maybe yes but still, I'm still in my right mind to determine what is right or wrong and I'm sure everyone here is doing the same. Salute to those users here that remain responsible despite their hard gambling activity.
1856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 23, 2022, 11:59:23 PM
The LA Clippers really need star players right now

They are better last season without their Superstars honestly. Cheesy

But honestly, I don't see the team needing a full revamp or giving up their role players. They have many good role players and need to utilize those.

Like I always said, Role players > Bunch of Superstars

The problem they faced last season is the injuries of their main cast. That plays a big role in their rally.
1857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 23, 2022, 11:52:21 PM
- Are gamblers eligible to hold financial positions?
- Do problem gamblers deserve a second chance to hold a financial position?

The first question seems to be already judging the book by its cover. Just because the term used is "gambler" seems to me that you already concluded all as addicted and dangerous. What if that person is really performing well on that work?

The second question has a clear answer. They should deserve a second chance as long as they are now a better person after being addicted to gambling.

Personally, I have knows lots of responsible gamblers over irresponsible ones. They are losing big almost regularly but outside gambling, they are being professional and their lives are not that affected. We can't just conclude gamblers are supposed to be a big problem later on. That's wrong.

In OP's story, I'm sure there are parts of the story that we didn't know. Putting the blame because of gambling doesn't make sense.
1858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 20, 2022, 11:58:59 PM
Rumors of the lakers trading Westbrook to the Nets for Kyrie? Lol why on earth would the Nets make such a terrible move? Westbrook isn’t on anyone want list anymore.

Honestly, it's not a terrible move for the Brooklyn Nets if the goal was to get rid of Kyrie Irving's continuous drama and him being with a high ego. Take note that Brooklyn Nets gambled everything just for him for 2 seasons and didn't get the service they are looking for with Kyrie.

Lots of things happened while Kyrie is on-board and the Nets have no choice but to just allow him to do what he wants.

And no, even if Westbrook is inconsistent in the recent season, there will always be a team that will hire his service. As far as recent rumors are concerned, Charlotte Hornets is one of the teams who is eyeing getting Westbrook. Let's see what will happen next.
1859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You See Or Tell If A Fight Or Event Is Fix ? on: June 20, 2022, 11:49:54 PM
Therefore, identifying a rigged game might no be easy to spot on. It does require the cooperation of everyone involved in that line of sport to make it unnoticeable.

And to some PH basketball enthusiasts out there, if you remember the rigged games that happen in the local league here, fixing the game was done successfully and smoothly because players and coaching staff cooperate on it. No need for referees to do some double works to make the game rigged.

Unfortunately, that rigged game was too obvious and all involved individuals faced the wrath of the law.

Should be a good example for those who will still attempt to fix the match. It was heavily condemned here because instead of being thankful that these players, coaches, and staff still has a job even under pandemic, they still do shitty things that are not acceptable.
1860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA draft on: June 20, 2022, 11:43:30 PM

As far as my favorite team is concerned, Dallas Mavericks look like they will focus on getting a big man in this upcoming NBA Draft.

They are expecting that some good big men prospects are still selective since they will have the 26th pick and it's considered late picks as most top prospects are being picked for at least 15 picks. But who knows there will be a rising star at that pick.

I will follow the progress of this. Although every team is now playing small, getting a big man is a good move for me by the Dallas Mavericks as there are already lots of backcourt gunners for this team especially when Tim Hardaway Jr. is now back in action. Maxi Kleber is also not a defensive type even though he's playing 4 or 5.
