18441  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin spark a new economy that prevents the old one from crashing so hard? on: March 28, 2015, 07:58:53 AM
no i think, bitcoin is still to attached to fiat, to do something like this, bitcoin need to operate in its own, without any connection to old generation of money, we are still to far away from this

a fiat crash right now might destroy bitcoin also
18442  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: March 28, 2015, 07:55:11 AM
"the first necessity of the man is the superfluos"

my suggestion is to save a small amount every day/week/month, so you don't end in trouble if you need money

and you don't need exactly to buy only needed things, you can buy some thing that make you happy from time to time, just be thrifty
18443  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The Great Bitcoin DooM Tournament on: March 28, 2015, 07:50:11 AM
I advocate Brutal Doom Mod on the Zandronum engine.

Sounds good, I never heard of Zandronum, I used to play a bit of skulltag though.

i'm still playing this classic beast, one of the best shooter for me, but i prefer it could be done with gzdoom

i'm definitely interested

Good to hear! GZDoom is nice, Especially for mapping Smiley

yeah plenty of wad made with it on doomworld

for the tournament i would prefer not a directly competition(1v1) but maybe some variants, like who can complet some level at certain diff, without dying at ultra violence or nightmare diff, or who can complete it in less time
18444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin overheats and crashes my computer on: March 28, 2015, 07:47:14 AM

no, not really. i remember about 6 months ago i was on a skype call for several hours and the pc just died. now it gets very hot for bitcoin syncing and skype calls. everything else it runs fine. my only guess is it either needs cleaning or has some hardcore malware i haven't been able to find

you should clean it. you will be surprised the performance after the cleaning.

he already cleaned it, so i assume that's not the problem

"i've cleaned and reseated the heatsink twice to no avail."

could be OS problem imho
18445  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: HELP WITH SETTING UP MINER on: March 28, 2015, 07:41:03 AM
I'm also new to mining. I'm starting with a U3 (Batch 2).  Everything is operating, but my hashrate is very low:  .22kh/s    I'm running it on Win7 dedicated desktop, using WinUSB.  Engine: 722 MHz   Memory: 875 MHz Voltage: .975  Intensity: Dynamic

Anyone have any suggestions why I'm running so slow?  Thanks!

post your command-line that is running the device, maybe there is somthing wrong there, could also be that the device is defective
18446  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: how to install bitcoin miner hardware ? on: March 28, 2015, 07:37:37 AM

how many should amper +12V ?

plz stop asking the same question

18447  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is it worth me buying mining hardware right now? on: March 28, 2015, 07:36:04 AM
we need to know your electricity bill, if it is very low maybe with a used miner(like antminer s1/s3/s5) you can earn something in the long-term(diff shouldn't rise too much in the upcoming months, seeing the price trend)
18448  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i cant mine bitcoin on: March 28, 2015, 07:34:36 AM
you mean mining hardware? because cloud mining shouldn't affect your pc at all
18449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is this possible on: March 28, 2015, 07:25:34 AM
Thanks all for your replies. What i mean is i am using Multibit now, so the chances to be hacked are far far less then blockchain.info. I know Linux is not immune, but also cannot be infected with 490 spywares like Windows. No matter if i reinstall, keep Malware bytes and an antivirus, Windows still have 99% of chances to get infected. It sucks definitely.

well next time don't download to many shit, because having so many spywere and malware, isn't really windows fault
18450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you learned about Bitcoin today...? on: March 27, 2015, 08:01:20 PM
i learned more about trading , how encryption really work(i didint' know that you couldn't brute force 128 for example)

and about mining in general(mining brought me on learning some coding, software like ccminer, were i contributed in adding some algo, nothing special but it was fun)
Why can't you bruteforce it? you possibly could it would just take a very long time just like most other encryption
yeah i know, but it would so much time that it is not worth it you know...and bruteforcing something isn't free at all, you need tons of power to brute force 128 bit key(somethink like the entire power of all the pc of the world combined)
18451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have Bitcoins helped to improve your life? on: March 27, 2015, 07:51:43 PM
yeah it helped, me alot, as i'm in a bad economic situation, and it is helping me now with my disease

well i should tnx a certain site(i don't want to say the name) that help me collects a good amount
18452  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: easy way that get me bitcoin on: March 27, 2015, 04:57:50 PM
that site is a scam, there was one alike called coin-doubler, and one before that called coinx2(which scammed me too, 1 btc...), i believe they are the same people

there is no easy way, unless you want to scam someone...

better to join signature campaign as they pay well right now, just rise ytour activity first
18453  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Escrow on: March 27, 2015, 04:51:11 PM
He does appear to have some negative feedback, so it is hard to say for sure.
Perhaps you should have used someone with a cleaner record.

where you see negative feedback? i only see 3 green feedback, those red feedback are given by him to someone else

his trust is also 4 +3(3), he seems trusted no red neg
18454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin payroll debit card launched by Bitwage and Xapo on: March 27, 2015, 04:10:59 PM
it's seems good and all but it is not anonymous, bitcoin is aiming at anon and those cards are the opposite of that, not really desirable
18455  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 2015 Bitcoin Debit Card Reviews on: March 27, 2015, 03:44:29 PM
Bitcoin debit card is the most practical way of spending bitcoin IMO. Would very much like to have one, but the fees are a tad high. We need more competition to drive fees down.  Sad

Wait for BIT-X's MasterCard coming in April!

is it anonymous?

Where did you get the info that the limit for ANX card is 3k. It s 50k.

However, I would also wait for Bit-x card. Based on my experience with them, this company s very professional. Great exchange, nice cloud mining option, excellent sig campaign. I hope the card ll be great as well.

the basic one is 3k, the 50k is the plus or premium
18456  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I have some job related with a site promotion for 1 BTC on: March 27, 2015, 03:35:26 PM
it's possible to do only one job? i'm interested in the first one only

btw what guarantees me that you will pay?
18457  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The Great Bitcoin DooM Tournament on: March 27, 2015, 03:32:56 PM

18458  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: antminer s1 buy on: March 27, 2015, 01:52:02 PM
s1 should something difficalt install ? s5 in Comparison of.

s1 connector All four of the should psu cable connector ?

they should be all about the same, just connect usb and pci-e

s1 consume less power so you don't need a strong psu
18459  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost bitcoin payment on: March 27, 2015, 12:52:26 PM
if it wasn't made from you local wallet(because otherwise, it just a matter of seeing if there isn't the pending("?") symbol)

you can go to blockchain.info(but i like this better http://btc.blockr.io/) and put your address, and see if there is any confirmations
18460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.10.0 starts very slow. on: March 27, 2015, 12:47:33 PM
How long does it usually take for the wallet to open if opened the first time of the day?
Depends on the hardware. On a fast desktop with a SSD, a 60+MB wallet full startup with default settings is under 20 seconds.

Hardware is quite decent. I can only dream of having Bitcoin Core start under 60 seconds.

Is it also possible that switching wallet files could cause the wallet to open very slow?

But then again, it still should start within a few minutes.

Just stopped the time. The system is 5-6 years old and the bottle neck is the HDD. The CPU still has capacity left and launching bitcoin core/qt took a little less than 53,128 seconds.

Its set to check the last 24 blocks at default checklevel.

I think the problem is as good as solved. I can only hope it will stay like this.

Today the wallet managed to open in less than 60 secons. 47 seconds to be precise.

i'm at 25 secs, tried it now

i7 4790k(4400) + 16 giga of ram

so the problem must be a slow machine for the OP
