1861  Economy / Gambling / Re: CryptoBlink.com ★ Micro Lotteries ★ Promos ★ Player Referral Program on: September 09, 2018, 11:28:50 AM
We are done with our updates.

Smiley House edge has been adjusted to 1%-2% in every case except blinks under 500 satoshi - to make the numbers look pretty.
Smiley An hourly faucet has been implemented
Smiley Users can now create blinks

Our internal meeting this weekend focused around the look of the website.  We think that the current look does not fit our new vision.  The person that chose the current look was forced to stand on their head for over an hour.  (Not really)  We plan an updating the look of the website over the next week.

Thanks again to everyone for their feedback.

very well done!
it is good to see admins and owners listen to the community and implement features based on the feedback
faucet is a good idea-it does let you try the game and get hooked, potentially
you won't be waiting forever to test the game and your strategies (I said strategies? haha ,ok )
the custom blinks are awesome! the only thing to watch for is the abusers trying to take advantage of it by shifting faucet money to one account and trying to beat the system
but I think you guys are on top of it already with the minimum withdrawal amount high enough for this not to work

1863  Economy / Gambling / Re: OnlineCasino.info - Online Casino Ratings - Bitcoin Gambling Guide on: September 08, 2018, 05:29:09 PM
How do you separate a good gambling review website from a bad one? The bad one will always have Betcoin Casino in front-page of their gambling reviews.

GTFO OP, if you can't review and support the actual legitimate gambling sites, at least don't promote obvious scams. Like you will get all the relevant information if you just google for good gambling websites on bitcointalk but no, you have to shill.

also, which casinos do you recommend we add to our list of bitcoin casino reviews? we post here in bitcointalk to get information from the community members about overall opinions and consensus. your feedback is very much appreciated.

do your own research by ...reading the Gambling thread (surprise, surprise)
there are some really nice and informative topics , for example this one by Hhampuz: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4832500.0
also if you look for regular casinos, there are topics grouping them up as well
and I hope the wanna be affiliate millionaires will soon realise the amount of traffic and work  they need to get some reasonable comissions
and stop churning out review sites that are different only in Wordpress themes and the amount of scam casinos (hello,Betcoin) on the front page
1864  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-09-07] $6K Ahead? Bitcoin Price Plunges After Brief Recovery on: September 08, 2018, 12:18:47 PM
... the price seems to have stabilized at around $6,500 now.

I strongly suspect that this is a level that will be a very strong support, because
this is around the breakeven point for many miners. Of course it might go lower
temporarily as miners with big "war chests" try to bankrupt their competitors, but
in the long-term IŽd be extremely surprised if the price would actually
go lower than this. The floor might even be higher in the future as the average
cost of mining a single BTC continues to rise.

it makes sense, but bitcoin has proven on many occasions that it is too unpredictable
if you see it fall below 6.000 aka profitable to mine levels, this would cause some miners to stop mining
the dificulty will drop but there always be miners who mine to hodl and the wannabe startups with cheap energy
this "price draught period" will divide miners into clean and unclean Smiley only those efficient will survive
in general:expect more centralisation and smaller miners kicked out of the business, sadly

you will have more luck guessing what weather will be 14 October 2078 than what was the reason behind the move
and seriously, is it news worthy at all? 114.000 bitcoins moved! yay! what now?
if there was some evidence the coins were sold and it caused some price drop/rise , maybe then
1866  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-09-07] Coinbase Eyes ETF With Help From BlackRock on: September 08, 2018, 10:53:29 AM
it is sad that the expectations of ETF are influencing the price that much (if they do ,obviously which is not 100% proven )
the news of Coinbase,ETF or Goldman Sachs , latter said to reconsider launching a cryptocurrencies division, should not have such an impact
seeing bitcoin go down from 7400$ to 6400$ in a matter of a day I read the news and only those three seem to be relevant enough to cause such a drop

If it looks like the events you've mentioned should not have such an impact on the price, maybe it's because they actually didn't cause the drop. I tend to believe that it was again a big sell by a whale or two which caused the drop. That's how they regularly make money, sell big amounts to drop the price, then buy back at lower price, then sell again if price has risen 20%, and so on. They have put it on the loop ad infinitum (as they wish, but in reality it won't work at some point, when the demand will be so high that dumping of 100,000 BTC will have almost zero effect on the market).

in fact we do not know about the cause-effect and can only speculate
but to drive the price down that much required around 17.000 bitcoins to be sold (according to Bitfinex charts calculations yesterday)
it is almost half of the total trading volume, so news or not news, someone sold that much and we do not know why or who
could be a random whale who decided to clear some profit and cash in or a group of traders reacting to the news or ....something else like this:

1868  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-09-07] Ukrainians Advised to Pay 19.5% Tax on Crypto Incomes on: September 07, 2018, 07:30:08 PM
The rate in this country related to the incomes taxes it currently at 18% (the highest has been 20%) So what? Not much difference compared the incomes. Any income shall be taxed, there is nothing wrong. At least the citizens know where the government stands, but generally speaking, any citizen knows there will be a tax.

https://tradingeconomics.com/country-list/personal-income-tax-rate

the citizens know that they will not pay it anyways
since nobody does, more than 35% of the ukrainian economy is in a shadow (different sources=different figures)
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/269626771_Shadow_economy_in_Ukraine_modelling_and_analysis   this one gives a 34% figure
which I personally, consider way too low
it is common to recieve only slightly higher than the minimal wage to keep the taxes low and get the rest as they say "in an envelope" i.e. in cash
do you really expect anyone in their right mind would go and pay 19.5% of their trading or any other ,including mining, income to state?

Bitcoin Cash Hash Rate Drops By 37 Percent in One Day

Bitcoin Cash (BCH), the third largest cryptocurrency in the world, has suffered from an enormous drop in hash rate over the last 24 hours, making a widely feared 51 percent attack a reality. After plunging by 36 percent in a single day, the BCH current hash rate is sitting at 3.372 Ehash/s.

https://u.today/bitcoin-cash-hash-rate-drops-by-37-percent-in-one-day

BCH miners are moving to Bitcoin again because there's no incentive mining BCH now?

And the article also mentions the possibility of double-spending attack since hash rash is so low?

The BCH hash rate is 4.4 H/S, it mean it rose 40% in a day.

https://bitinfocharts.com/en/comparison/bitcoin%20cash-hashrate.html#3m

if you look at the charts, you can see that the hashrate is jumping up and down like mad
add to that the internal strife BCH experiencing ,it is not surprising at all the hashrate dropped
well,it is back up now ,so the see saw is going to continue
depending on what is more profitable to mine at the moment- BTC or BCH

The new system for scratch is running in the background and collecting the stakes - we're doing final checks and audits, and all stakes will be paid out soon...

UPDATE: staking payouts from scratch cards started yesterday - first payment was a catch up payment for all the scratch cards played over the last few weeks.

Payouts are now automatic and daily - you can check your Staking Balance here.

yup recieved 0.02 mbtc plus in staked scratchcard payout a nice little bonus
it is automatic and seems that the new scratchcards are pretty popular
waiting for the next kind to be introduced, maybe slightly cheaper with a higher win chance and lower normal prizes and a decent jackpot
the so called common lottery, haha where everyone could depo a smallish amount and try luck to hit big

We have a question to all who participate in the life of our site.
Do we need to make an in-game coin and an exchanger?
Or is it better to leave the bets in these coins?

it is better to leave the coins and maybe introduce new ones with time
also an exchanger between the currencies (not between an in-game currency and crypto) is a good idea
just make sure the margin is big enough to avoid simple deposit-convert-withdraw operations aka mixing coins
waiting for the autobet on dice to be introduced
and of course, the provably fair verification for the rolls is a must

Whoa! Just saw that right after my post on 30th Aug this thread suddenly got filled with responses from players giving their love too. Never knew I had any ability to kick off love campaigns;)

Just here to say that site has been somewhat slowish for me in past 2 days, especially when choosing All bets to watch. My betting speed is set to max but autobet on plinko now takes forever with 32 bits dropping. Is this typical for everyone else too?

there was a performance update yesterday
the site was in a maintenance mode for a brief moment, maybe a couple of minutes
I see vast improvement in speed now,at least I have zero lag issues

and yeah, the site deserves much more attention from gamblers, slaman, its an awesome place to both gamble and chill in chat Smiley
1874  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 22 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: September 07, 2018, 11:01:13 AM
Actually it is not free money because you need to complete the quest in order to get paid. It is different from what you said, but if someone lucky enough to get profit then it must be free money then

Yes, of course, but almost all promotions have a house edge that benefits the players.

thats called positive EV Smiley
and yes many of the promotions are relatively easy to complete, hence making it profitable for a player
the main idea of such a promotion is to get as many players involved as possible, so they try the game out and see how good it is
and get hooked and play more after, it is a good way to introduce new players to a certain game or even sway an oldtimer's preferences towards a certain game
for example- I try to complete a quest and suddenly hit 1250x on plinko ,twice
or try mines and get some amazing multipliers there etc.
1875  Economy / Gambling / Re: CryptoBlink.com ★ Micro Lotteries ★ Promos ★ Player Referral Program on: September 07, 2018, 10:44:41 AM
Thanks to everyone for the feedback.  We are encouraged with the feedback we've gotten.  The feedback has been exceedingly useful and we will be in maintenance for the next 48 hours to review data and implement some of the new features that users have been suggesting.

On the list:
Finalize provable fairness
Ability to create custom blinks
Faucet with matching blinks
Promos for verified emails
And additional changes...

good ideas! faucet will help people to try the game, because the main problem is when you are unable to play even if you have balance
since there are none to blink with you Smiley custom blinks is another great idea - just make sure it has reasonable amount of slots
maybe increase the max amount of slots to 20 or so or allow higher prizes
also maybe want to cut the house edge a little, it is about 10% now if I'm not mistaken?
this makes 4 slot blinks a bad choice to participate at mathematically

1877  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 year after Segwit. Have things improved for casinos and gambling sites? on: September 05, 2018, 10:22:00 AM
The solution I saw gambling sites employing prior to segwit was use of alt coins.   The whole deal with BTC solving its fees problem was probably a big fallout for the alt coin networks which had taken over some of that revenue stream diversions to the backlog.
So segwit has allowed use of BTC again without requiring alt coins though mostly the option to use that has remained.   Alot of people prefer to just stick with the simplest widest network option which is BTC, any ease of use improvement has to be a positive for business

Segwit has certainly impacted the way people gamble -before it was mostly "I will exchange BTC and send the cheapest and the fastest alt I can find and save on fees and time"
now bitcoin transactions are much  faster and in many cases cheaper than altcoins to deposit to a casino
you do not have to keep in mind the exchange ratio all times when you gamble and is way more convenient (at least for me is) to gamble with btc
the trend is to decrease the withdrawal fees too, I see many casinos reduce their fee to 10.000 satoshi and even less, while it used to be up to 40k at some casinos not so long ago
so in general,Segwit should shift the betting volumes back in bitcoin's favour
1878  Economy / Gambling / Re: DICE GAME IS AVAILABLE on: September 04, 2018, 09:10:43 AM
Hello! Game dice is already available on the site!
Welcome

dice look very cool, with some ideas taken from the established industry leaders
makes it very easy to play even for a newbie!
I'm waiting for the automatic betting to come live to fully test it,since it is not that comfy to do it on manual
generous free faucet, several games, I feel like the site deserves more attention from gamblers
and hopefully you will introduce more currencies soon (bitcoin, litecoin at least)
1879  Economy / Gambling / Re: CryptoBlink.com ★ Micro Lotteries ★ Promos ★ Player Referral Program on: September 03, 2018, 08:18:41 AM
Had fun playing with the promo btc.  Cheesy
Too bad that I didn't win any game that I've participated in.

I have to agree with yogg, quite a nice and unique game indeed. This will be a good game once there are a few more players.

Is there any possibility to create a custom game? If not, I wish there is more game with a less amount of required btc to get a spot? Or maybe I just didn't noticed but the games I participated in was asking for a 0.002 btc as bet.

btw, the site takes too long when loading on mobile.

Thanks for the feedback Jacee.

We do intend on making the ability to create custom games once there are more users.  We figured that it may create too much confusion at this point.

We adjusted our template limits down now to allow people to make better use of promos  Smiley

registered and used a code, successfully lost 0.1 bonus eth Smiley
a few ideas- there are only that many different patterns of the pot available, wish there were 5-6 different ones with a wider variety of prizes
with time, when you gather stats , you will be able to see what kind of games are more popular ,I bet it would be the cheaper per entry ones
for example if a player depoes 0.005 eth, he won't be able to participate in more than one blink and the rest of his balance would be a deadweight (if he loses)
custom games should be a nice addition, also sad that you cannot enter more than one code, haha (not really,I understand that a 50$ for free several times would be too much)

all in all, yet another "share the pot" games , but it does look unique and better than the other 4 or 5  I have seen already
provably fair is an issue, we have to trust the owner doesn't do any shenanigans with the bets, also
if anyone has withdrawn the money from the site , please let us know, do not be shy
try the game if you can manage to get one of the codes and hope that there are still some that are online to not sit and wait for the spots to be taken
1880  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚡LUCKY DEVIL!⚡new CRYPTO SCRATCH CARD⚡Cheeky wins up to 1BTC⚡Prov. Fair⚡8BET.io⚡ on: September 02, 2018, 07:26:27 PM
Hi everyone

Some news from 8BET - we've just launched a new crypto scratch card called LUCKY DEVIL.

We've been listening to players and have built this one to be a bit more of a hardcore gamble that our previous scratch cards - it does not pay as often as the previous ones, but when it does pay it pays big! The fundamental nature of this game is appropriately captured in it's theme we think - a sexy and cheeky devil lady... flirt with her if you dare  Grin

Would love to hear your thoughts on the new game!

I see that the sales of the scratchcards do not bring any staked reward for a week or so
probably either the sales are not going as well as before or the formula changed or there are more people staking their money against the jackpot odds
hope your new lottery is popular to attract new players and incentivise the existing ones to try their luck at it
