What are good settings for gpu mining this? Since Nfactor is probably making it 60% less efficient now to mine with a GPU. I'm using -I 17, worksize=256 and TC=8000.
1862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most profitable mining coin on: December 23, 2013, 10:18:02 PM
Best to look for coins that haven't hit a mainstream market for max profits. Lottocoin and Earthcoin are probably pretty good for profit. Not sure about Skeincoin, MemoryCoin2, Frozecoin, Molecule, Atom and/or Globe yet.

Could this coin to the moon then?

It's more profitable than DOGE at the moment.

1866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BLC] Blakecoin Fast Blake-256 Cryptographic Coin for CPU/GPU/FPGA on: December 22, 2013, 02:29:20 AM
I am sure Blakecoin will be picked up by the exchanges in time, Openex is going to support BLC once they launch

selling all your coins once it hits the exchange is a poor method of investing and is unlikely to work well on Blakecoin as it did not give stupid high block rewards in the first few days and has not had 90% - 98% of all coins mined already and the block reward does not drop to 1 coins after a few months !

The time and electric spent mining Blakecoin is an investment and you should think like that, I am sure someone is getting rich from pump and dump of these other alt coins that hit the exchange fast but I doubt it is the miner  Cry

just ask yourself this: if you had known about Bitcoin back in the early days would you have also been asking to get to the exchange asap to sell at sub 1$ per Bitcoin or would you have had the brains to hold it until it is worth what you want to sell it at?

From what I have seen on this forum is that most sold and are kicking themselves now  Wink

The only thing I can say for sure it that Blakecoin is built to last even longer than Bitcoin and is also faster than Bitcoin Grin

Like I did with PTS, sold half and kept half for investment. The same I'll do with BLC and I am currently doing that with DOGE too. That's my belief in investment; save half and sell half....
1867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me about Riser card please on: December 21, 2013, 08:37:52 PM
From my understanding, you only need a powered riser if your rig have more than 3 gpu cards. I've seen a lot of people don't run powered riser with more than 3 cards, but are running high quality PSU's. I recommend for PSU of the following brands: Corsair, Seasonic, PC Power & Cooling and Antec.
1868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BLC] Blakecoin Fast Blake-256 Cryptographic Coin for CPU/GPU/FPGA on: December 21, 2013, 08:27:44 PM
is it ever coming to an exchange?

I would like to know this as well.

Same here. Electricity isn't exactly free for most of us.
1869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Price difference at exchanges on: December 21, 2013, 11:26:38 AM
Coinbase is ok so far. Just had one delay on payment and had to complain at support and twitter to get it sort of on time. The future of digital currency is still not stable.
1870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best Scrypt Miner? on: December 21, 2013, 11:16:24 AM
this is even a question?

Yes and a poll. Sorry to correct your grammar, but you mean "Is this even a question?".
1871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Fuck Cryptsy, Fuck Cryptsy, Fuck Cryptsy on: December 21, 2013, 11:06:24 AM
I agree 100%.  Cryptsy just did an 'audit' and withdrew more Cryptsy points than what I had. Haven't don't anything with my Cryptsy points, and now it won't let me withdraw from the site because I have a negative balance! WTF!!!!

I have a negative C Points balance too. They should just canned that service. They are just a hot mess at the moment.
1872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Kittycoin - BRING it ON DOGE - COMING SOON on: December 21, 2013, 11:04:54 AM
I knew I'd see this soon. People said a kitty coin would be retarded. I told them they're retarded.

No more retarded than doge...LOL....Seriously, I wish these new coins would offer something more tangible: services, products and/or technology.
1873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Fuck Cryptsy, Fuck Cryptsy, Fuck Cryptsy on: December 21, 2013, 10:57:13 AM
Yeah, there's something seriously wrong with their deposit system. The system can see that I've deposited a certain amount of DOGE. It sees there are over two hundred confirmations. Seriously--it isn't the server getting pounded that is preventing my account being credited. All other functions are comparatively responsive.

I've definitely learned my lesson with Cryptsy. The delay cost me a hundred dollars; if I had sent it to coinedup.com instead, I would be fine. Their server is getting hammered and the site is barely crawling, yet I can send DOGE there and sell it in under ten minutes.

I sincerely hope Cryptsy is not doing this on purpose. It has the effect of inflating the price of DOGE, since people can't get it in to sell it. I don't think they are, I think they're good people, but... it's time to overhaul some of their code. Stop offering services they can't provide.

I've told them 2 months ago they needed to upgrade their servers. Guess I'm just the little guy. LOL....They need to dump have of the dead coins on their site to free resources up for the more mainstream coins.

In business, don't offer a service/product that you can not maintain. Doesn't matter if the customer service is good. People will buy a good product/service, even if the customer service is bad.

It took 20 hours for my 100k in doge to get deposited.
1874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What's the best Scrypt Miner? on: December 21, 2013, 10:52:41 AM
So, which Scrypt miner do you think is the best and why? I know, GUIMiner and CGWatcher are just GUI overlays of other miners.

Cant get pool mining configured no matter what I do Sad

Would be interested in buying a dollar or so if there is a place I can do it easily with paypal or something of the sort.

Thanks!

Buy some Bitcoin at Coinbase.com, then go to CoinedUp.com to buy with Bitcoin.
