1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XBIT] Xryptbit - NOW LIVE!!! on: August 07, 2014, 09:25:25 PM
If anyone has a bounty to claim, please send us PM with your Xryptbit address, we will be taking care of this today. Also, if anyone has suggestions or features they would like to see added to the coin, we can be contacted via email at info@xbitnetwork.io

Can you please make sure this doesn't go on C-Cex, Bittrex or any other exchange that usually hurts a coin's value? I'd like to see this make it on either Poloniex, Mintpal and/or Cryptsy.

It seems some people are blindly going to AWS without doing the math... they're gonna lose money.
The price now is too low.

Not yet.

$0.788 for ec2.instance per hour and only get 3 coins,
even if mining @home use 750Ti, it's not profitable compare to X11 multipool.

Dude, spot instances! You can get a g2.2 for $0.1/hr!

Also, 750Ti numbers:

Hash of one 750Ti @ stock / network hash * blocks per day * XCN per block = XCN per day per 750Ti @ stock:

3100000 / 6016040021 * 1440 * 242 = ~180 XCN/day

As of this moment, 1 XCN is worth 0.0000272 BTC - making one 750Ti bring in ~0.005 BTC per day. It's not excellent, but it's not horrid, either.

That's pretty decent compared to other coins to gpu mine with and more efficient than cpu mining.

There is no communication, DEV is not in, why? Release of the plan? Roll Eyes

The webwallet is not working as it should, still busy fixing it. Website + roadmap almost ready. New designer will take care of the OP sunday or monday.

Sunday or Monday has passed, now it is Thursday in the US.

Can't understand some of these devs as of recently in 2014: If your going to be active and support a coin, then do it. If not, just be honest to the community that you don't have the desire to do it anymore.

I thought 2013 had a good enough coins that were abandon and/or scams. 2014 is 4 times or more worse, it's just a little pass 7 months into the year.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XBIT] Xryptbit - NOW LIVE!!! on: August 07, 2014, 06:12:06 AM
So, at the current hashrate and diff of the network the block reward will half within 30 days?
1065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XBIT] Xryptbit - NOW LIVE!!! on: August 07, 2014, 01:47:28 AM
Hey dev, will you release a whitepaper on the 3 upcoming features? Seems like a lot of new coins in 2014 have neglected releasing specs on new feature in detail, anon and/or new innovation.

Hello, Yes I will be working on the whitepaper tonight. We also expect to be advancing on the payment system. Thanks for your support

any idea, please?

No , but change your pool (look the efficiency)

go here : http://xbit.nonce-pool.com

EDIT : try it
Quote
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer.exe -k qubitcoin -o stratum+tcp://mine1.xbit.nonce-pool.com:4030 -u minerswing.1 -p 1 --no-submit-stale -I 18

I am getting : Share is above target?

You might need to put the flag " --difficulty-multiplier 256 ". Try g 2 or g 4. I am using g 4 on my 7970.

If you still have an issue, it might be the pool or try 512 instead of 256. Contact the pool to see if there an issue or mine at another pool.
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XBIT] Xryptbit - NOW LIVE!!! on: August 07, 2014, 12:31:47 AM
Is there anything wrong with this sgminer command:

sgminer -k qubit -o stratum+tcp://stratum.pool.mn:7823 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password --difficulty-multiplier 256

sgminer -k qubitcoin -o stratum+tcp://stratum.pool.mn:7823 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password --difficulty-multiplier 256

Oh yea, qubitcoin.

sgminer -k qubit -o stratum+tcp://stratum.pool.mn:7823 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password --difficulty-multiplier 256

That should would fine. Are you going to run purely command line or do you have a conf also? Because if your running pure command line, you will need to put other flags in there also.
1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XBIT] Xryptbit - NOW LIVE!!! on: August 07, 2014, 12:17:12 AM
Wasn't the launch originally suppose to be at 11pm est, 7pm pst in my area?

I don't mind, since there are pools available.
1071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ALT coin Stores and Services List on: August 06, 2014, 03:51:33 AM
Hey BitJohn, is there any news on making the Fiat system quicker on Cryptsy? Waiting for a check to deposit is kind of slow. Imagine if the stock market was like that...lol
1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner v6.1 on: August 06, 2014, 03:45:24 AM
how much xmr must be from 2000 hash  at 24 hour?

Approximately 2 or so coins at the current state.
1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favorite Altcoin on: August 06, 2014, 03:43:17 AM
None of the about. BTC is not consider an ALT since it's the originator for anything that forked from it.

I like XMR, DRK, CLOAK, XC, NAV, BBR, XCN, BTSX, PTS, BTCD, VIA, REDD and VRC. Maybe FTC, when they fork it to X11 algo. Potentially a successful NeoScrypt coin and Stellar.
1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry OpenCL GPU Miner Discussion - Works on AMD & Nvidia on: August 06, 2014, 03:38:06 AM
Hey Wolf0, does the CL patches hash better for pools? Or are they still hashing 50% or less than solo still?

Nothing in the CL will help the stales and crap caused by HTTP mining. Simpleminer is garbage.

Will you give a try to implement it in the cpu multiminer?

I did, but it's REALLY dull work. I gave clintar the half-finished code, but he hasn't been able to figure it out yet...

Oh. So, the scratchpad part of BBR really is an annoying issue with implementing a stratum version of a gpu miner for it?

Oh, no, see the screenshot: https://ottrbutt.com/tmp/bbrcudaminer5.png

Stratum. It's just OpenCL that's the major pain.

Oh ok.

Has anyone try to use Mantle or is that exclusive to gaming coding only?

I'm no expert on Mantle, but as far as I can tell, it's pretty useless for compute.

From what I read about it, it's just another way to access the core technology for gaming. Probably only API from what I see.

Yeah, CUDA is a lot more fun, anyway.

CUDA is coded better than anything that AMD does, just that OpenCL is more universal and AMD compute core works with it better.

I'm in the process of migrating from AMD GPU's to Nvidia GTX 750ti's. Best bang for the buck via power/hash ratio.

Agreed. I think when high end Maxwell comes out, AMD will be out of the mining game. It won't be a fight; it'll be an execution.

AMD suppose to release high destiny ram additions of cards with faster timings, but a little to late in my opinion. Also, they suppose to release something competitive to the Maxwell core in the next couple of months, but anything link to AMD is always a what if. Just like the AMD FX cpu series, what let down. The module concept is cost effective for them, but poorly implemented. It's because of the ATI brand that saved AMD, not the other way around. LOL

I like AMD, but from what is technology advance: GPU=Nvida and CPU=Intel. AMD does have the crown in the APU format, if there was a way to exploit that tech since the GPU and CPU are on the same waffer.

1078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy Withdrawal Delays! on: August 06, 2014, 02:52:43 AM
To those who experience delays in withdraws, there are several reasons a withdrawal might be delayed.

Due to constant attempts by hacks on every exchange to try to steal a users coins, we have very tight security practices.
Many users do not take this seriously and then complain when a hack gains access to thier computer and wipes them out.

In response to this activity, we look at many things to ensure that every withdraw leaving Cryptsy is authorized.

Below are some things you can do to speed up your withdrawals and reduce any delays.

1) Add 2FA security - This tells us the withdraw that was initiated was done by the actual owner of account. (settings page)

2) Create Pre - Approved withdraw addresses for coins you know you will be withdrawing frequently. (settings page)

3) Always withdraw to same withdraw address - This tells us the coins are going to a previously used address and are less likely
going to a hacker who will generate a new address not already used.

4) Do not login to Cryptsy using TOR or any other means that conceals the true origin of user.

The safety of your investment is extremely important to us, and we will continue to do all we can to ensure that any withdraws made on your
account are authorized by you.

On a final note: the user opening this thread refuses 2FA or ANY of the following steps to help us ensure his withdrawals are authorized which causes
him delays and will continue to cause delays.

A user NOT wanting to secure their coins using any of the above suggestions and using TOR to conceal his login is very suspect to us? This brings up
yet more eyes that must be placed on this account.

Thank You for your assistance.

I dont see whats wrong with using tor, everybody already knows that governments are spying on private citizens.
Also consider the fact i am buying a "anon"coin. I would be willing to set up gpg based 2fa with you guys however you not currently support this feature.

Update: so far half the funds have been released. :-l)

Trust me, TOR or anything that is supposedly anon can still be tracked by a government that has white-hat hackers they hire. It's a false ideal that a majority of people have. Anon tech just makes it for the unskilled hackers to have a hard time exploiting. Packets can always be traced and rebuild in some way or form.

lol. Are you referring to any publicly  known exploit or do you have access to information that none of the rest of us has?

Nope, information that is already available out there. Middleman attack has a potential to happen. But there is advancement to security, but eventually someone finds something to exploit it. It's a constant cycle in security.

My apologies to get off topic. Just giving my 2 cents.

A half decent GPU miner has been created:
https://github.com/MiniblockchainProject/CudaMiner

There are several things to keep in mind 1) it is designed to work with 700 series nVidia cards but should work on 400 series cards if you change the make file 2) for now you will have to compile the GPU miner yourself for various reasons, we will try to post pre-compiled binaries when they become available.

See github project page for more information about usage and compiling.

Don't like the idea of gpu miners getting in this early, but it's eventually will happen with all coins that get popular enough. Good thing, it will prevent botnet from monopolizing the network. Hope an AMD miner is in the work.

Will there be a product/service that can be use with XCN? I mean purchase things with XCN exclusively.

xcn has only been out for 7 days...

Some of the successful coins, minus the scam coins, had services/products online with a week. Not trying to rush it, but a tentative schedule would be nice.
