Most people would describe anarchism like you did, but I have met several anarchist and they all basically said what Holliday said that it would be just no rulers but certainly rules. which leads to the question of voluntarism and the community helping each other out.
I also think that if we lived in "anarchy", most people would have a strong understanding of individual rights. After all, rights are the basis for communication (interaction). You and I only have the same "rights" if we are about the same physical size.  I disagree. Your rights are forsaken (in the eyes of everyone) as soon as you ignore mine. Besides, didn't you see my wife (she's really a crack shot) holding that scoped AR-15 up on the rise over there? Don't really require rights in the eyes of everyone else if I am able to physically take whatever I want from you. Why do I care what others think? And as a good conqueror, my scouts would have seen and killed your wife before I even approached. It's all about who is stronger - not who has more rights. A proper and functioning anarchy does not have any permanent leader. Ideally, people would organize themselves and work together for a common interest. At times, people may find it necessary to elect a temporary leader to achieve a desired goal. Such a leader would step down immediately once said goal was accomplished. No-one wishes to be ruled over, yet everyone wishes to feel safe. Although everyone is born with inalienable rights, these rights are accompanied by responsibilities. For example, if someone's rights were to be violated, it is everyone's responsibility to see that justice is done. (ie. Kill a monster and help victims recover.) The same way a commander requires unity amongst his soldiers to defeat his enemy, the people of a proper and functioning anarchy would stand together in opposition of any would be conqueror. Unfortunately, instead of accepting the responsibility to be their own, people are often coerced to forfeit their rights and responsibilities over to would be conquerors (or false gods) in the promise of peace (or salvation), not unlike the Sith Lord did in Star Wars (or bible thumpers). In theory, an intelligent, responsible and vigilant society cannot be coerced or corrupted. |

Kill all the rulers. Yeah. And then rule all the killers, right?  Nope. The killers are next on my kill list. Then anyone else who refuses to love and respect everyone and indeed all life on the planet. Believe me, I know how hypocritical this all sounds, but the fact remains that there will always be a small number of people that take pleasure in hurting people and will constantly strive to dominate the rest. Instead, I will become the monster and destroy all the other monsters that crop up. At least while I'm around, 99.9% of people will be able to live in harmony with each other and all life on this planet. Love it or leave it. ('it' being the planet) I don't want power over anyone. In exchange, I don't want anyone to have power over me. I know that is a lot to ask.
That's my dream in truth. Unfortunately, it seems, it is indeed too much to ask for. Therefore, if I was the monster I described above, I would only exert my power against those few that refused to allow everyone else to live freely and in peace. I got to say I like your view on survival of the fittest. But I believe the government is a necessary evil. Better to be ruled by bureaucrats than a bunch of gangs. By the way what is your ideology Nihilism, anarchism, libertinism.
Necessary evil? That seems like such a horrible thing that I'm sure we can find a better way. It reminds me of "white lie" which never works out for those involved. My ideology (if I have to choose) is probably anarchy. It's not complicated, simply the old Latin (or Greek?) translation of "no ruler". Which, by the way, does not necessarily mean "no rules". Bitcoin, for example, has no ruler, but it most certainly has rules. Like I've already stated, I believe I will have to become that 'necessary evil'. Under my rule everyone would basically live in anarchy, unless it was necessary for me to rear my ugly head. |

There's advertising all over the site if you visit it without adblock. There ARE no similarities. Luckily there was a sane commenter there: Ten reasons this article is moronic tripe:
1.) Porn has existed for as long as humanity has, and none of the companies listed offer "adult services". You even immediately correct yourself to say that google doesn't, after first claiming that they do. Then you make some moronic point about google glass being the same thing as offering up smut, without any supporting arguments.
2.) Ads have been everywhere for a very, very long time. If you use an adblocker, you can have an almost completely ad-free internet experience. If you want to not see ads on phone apps, spend a dollar.
3.) Profanity in ads isn't actually a common thing, at least not in the U.S. Even if it were, it probably wouldn't be a sign of declining intelligence. Countries which have more permissive standards when it comes to TV tend to be those with higher standards of education, as people are smart enough to realize that things like sex and profanity aren't actually harmful to view.
4.) Yes, food sizes have gotten larger. This isn't a new trend, and was happening when the movie came out. This wasn't a prediction, just an observation.
5.) Idiocracy deals with the U.S. specifically, where this isn't something you hear about.
6.) You mean English, not "the human language". "The human language" isn't a real thing. If you're going to make comments on language being "dumbed down", you should make some effort to use language correctly yourself. Also, there's absolutely no evidence that texting/twitter/etc are actually having a negative impact on people's ability to use language. This is just a thing people like to exclaim loudly about because it's currently a popular opinion.
7.) The technology for this exists, but isn't in common usage. This isn't a real issue.
8.) Ten years ago, no one would have known what you were talking about either. We called them "maps". GPS is a marvel of technology, engineering, and science. It requires computer technology, space travel, and the innovation of countless scientists and engineers to operate. If this is your example of "dumbing down", then you need to think of a better one.
9.) Those shows were popular when the movie came out, and before. Everything you talked about existed then. I think you need to look up the word "prediction".
10.) "Some music videos are dumb" doesn't count as a "prediction coming true". The video in question does have nude buttocks in it, but it isn't comparable in any other way.
It might seem like I've given this article a really hard time, but in order for an article like this to be passable, it needs to have claims with some truth, while also being funny. As it stands, it is neither amusing nor insightful. The whole premise of this is "x is funny/scary/interesting because it was in a comedy movie, and it's coming true". If you can't support that premise, the whole thing falls flat on its face. After closer scrutiny I'll admit the article could have made better arguments and it would've been better if the article didn't claim the movie predicted anything, but merely observed and highlighted a disturbing trend. Nonetheless, I do believe things are getting worse. 1. Porn IS becoming more mainstream. Actual porn was not available on regular cable tv when I was young, yet these days it is. Music wasn't so blatant about sex before, but would have cleverly disguised innuendos instead. 2. I do use adblocker. The fact that I NEED to use adblocker is in itself proof that ads are everywhere and have become a real problem. In the old days I would see a billboard once in a while, but now there are certain sections throughout the city where all you see is advertising. 3. Profanity, like porn, is also becoming far too common. While profanity can be used effectively to ENHANCE a statement, I appreciate having a conversation with someone whose vocabulary consists of more than just various curses. 4. Meal sizes was a poor example chosen by the author. A far better example would have been fat content in foods. In the movie people ate tubs of fat. Processed and prepared foods are incrementally containing more and more fat content and less and less actual nutritional food. 5. Why wouldn't we look at things worldwide? Garbage is a real problem everywhere. There's a mass of plastic debris floating around in the Pacific ocean that some estimates claim is twice the size of Texas! I think the point here is that this IS a big problem and it's only getting worse. 6. I know from personal experience that other languages are becoming perversed within the internet and many people have a problem with it. 7. This was a poor choice, but I'll just address it anyways. The fact that this isn't in 'common use' isn't the issue. The point is that this tech exists and it will inevitably one day become common practice. This isn't an example of the dumbing down of society, but rather a strengthening of the Police State, aka Big Brother. 8. This example wasn't made well. The problem isn't the fact that people are using GPS and no longer using maps. The thing is that some people aren't even using their brains anymore and following GPS directions so blindly that they will even drive themselves into a ditch or whatever because the GPS told them to. Doh! 9. Like porn and profanity, dumbassery is also becoming all to common place. Less documentaries and more 'idiocracy' compared to years ago. Even the news has resorted to following and reporting on the latest dumbassery celebs are involved in. 50-60 years ago idiots were ridiculed, today they are damn near heroes. 10. I think my original post still remains a good example of this one, which was the reason why I stumbled across this article in the first place. There was one example that came to mind which this article missed and I feel might be better than any that it gave. 11. There was a scene in the movie where the cops wouldn't even listen to the character 'Not Sure', instead they pepper sprayed him while saying, "Whut?" In another scene the cops simply open fire on a car because they thought he was inside. These days I'm finding more and more news articles involving cops that beat, tazer or even shoot someone dead without justifiable cause. Perhaps you still don't see how Idiocracy reflects the disturbing trend of a downward spiral our society has taken, but you did get me to see some of the flaws in this article. I do have one question now. Did you watch the movie and if so what do you think of it? |

Sorry but it isn't so. If you've ever experienced full egodeath you would know for yourself. It is impossible for matter to produce a dimension as such, as the dimension is composed of only infinite pure energy, love.
Saying you're killing in the name of god does not always mean you're killing in the name of god. The Catholic church certainly didn't do so. There is a huge deception in the world today, we are given a materialistic description of a being of energy.
God is love, all, positivity, oneness, light and infinity.
Man kills because we are imposed to the forces of gravity in this life on hell. Earth is heaven and hell, it just depends how you perceive life.
Humanity does not need to live through cycles of life and death. There is another way. We can build a cycle of positive energy within ourselves and around us. We can feed off the vast energy of the universe. We can consciously ascend and become gods of reality on earth. Dreams can become heaven. Earth is rising beyond the dimension of matter, one lifestyle change now can give you a future of infinite peace.
And again, regarding the existence and creation of ego/satan & god.
Both always have. Consciousness is a denser form of energy than matter, it is exponeitially more powerful than negativity. You can experience infinite light with no darkness, but you can't experience nothing without any light. Nothing is nothing, everything is everything. Everything is god.
BTW, think I misinterpreted the title. But this ties in to what I said, satan holds major influence in this world at the present day but earth is becoming aware of the imbalance and correcting her self. The land will find peace and the forces of evil will be removed from earth as earth completes the transition.

It was ego that created god. People feel the need to be special and fear the thought of only having this one life to live. I accept reality. It's unfortunate that 'egodeath', being some metaphysical pursuit, is not the actual death of ego. I honestly believe people would be far healthier and happier if they would just accept reality for what it is. |

Here I was thinking this forum is mostly for adults. Real men hug their moms. I hug my mom all the time. I don't snuggle up with her to keep warm. I have a wife. Rather than put on my 2KWH heater, I will have some mining equipment around the house, Why not earn as I burn?
I cant sleep in alot of noise, I was wondering what I could use in/near the bedroom for heat?
The older KNC units were fairly quiet, 700W for 500GHs is not bad, and they are cheap now.

Have you ever thought about ear plugs? You can buy ones that are specifically meant for sleeping with. i have the same issue as you, I can hear the damn clock ticking in the next room some nights. I decided to try a pair of disposable ones to see if they would annoy me, and I was shocked at how noticeable they weren't, so I purchased some quality sleeping ones. They are extremely comfortable, can't even really feel them. The only problem I've found is that I have even more trouble sleeping without them. Also, there is sleeping through the alarm. But a vibrating alarm on the cell phone took care of that. I have baseboard heating in my room and they are extremely quiet except for the odd click. How do you expect to hear the smoke alarm if it happens to go off, or a window breaking and a burglar or an animal is ransacking your house? With enough miners you can heat your whole house and if you keep them in the basement you'll never hear 'em. |

Click-bait? I didn't see any ads.  Admittedly, I only read the article and didn't actually 'click' on anything. There was no need to, since everything was pretty clear without the need to click on any of the links. Also, I found the similarities between the movie and reality to be far too close for my comfort. Hi otrkid70, Awesome post here. I like what you wrote (it being quite original), albeit I don't entirely agree. Here's why. (Still love it though.  ) I actually believe that most people are somewhat decent, but they basically give the bad motherfuckers free reign because of things like the bible and societal laws which defers their power and responsibility to do anything about it to a higher power. The godbots believe, "God is all knowing. God is Love."Hmm... let's see how that holds up... God creates Satan, knowing full well he will cast him into Hell. If he truly made everything, then it stands to reason, he made it according to his own wishes knowing full well the outcome. Why make something only to torture it? How is that loving?
