While watching the Raiders vs Chiefs game since Damar's condition has improved since the last message from his agent and coach.
He was able to send out his first message on social media which was instagram and then it was tweeted by ESPN on twitter about 1/2 hour ago while this match is still playing. This is where it was shown for everybody to view and had about 8k likes since.

https://twitter.com/espn/status/1611850131241897986

Certainly great news about his status and his spirits are kept high from the news of how much his toy drive raised since he was in the hospital from $3,000 all the way to $6.9 million the last time I checked the amount of donations from people all over the world including NFL players such as Tom Brady, Russell Wilson and Robert Kraft of around $10,000 each.

Looking forward to getting back into the mood of watching American Football again with this very pleasing news for the NFL fans out there.
Next match for tonight is Titans vs Jaguars:

1864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get a hardware wallet in a bitcoin banned country? on: January 07, 2023, 04:02:19 PM
OP where are you from? I am from Nigeria and I don't use services like DHL to get my ordered packages because they go through your goods, there are other shipping companies out there that delivers to your doorstep, and nobody will know what you order for.

If you are too scared then use offline wallets, I believe they can still be generated, Electrum wallet is also a very good choice.
Now after seeing this dilemma discussed about banning bitcoin in certain countries lately, I do remember reading about how Nigeria's government wants an outright ban of bitcoin and all cryptocurrencies in their country.
I didn't know if it was just the banks they wanted to ban it's use or the entire usage which would include the receiving of parcels containing any device that gives the owner the use to transact anything to do with cryptocurrency.
Rather just use a laptop with a solid wallet just as you have suggested in Electrum or Exodus.

Guys, do you have a recomended betting site for Mobile Legends Bang Bang? Since I never made any eSports gambling so I don't really know about this. Not for me, my friends looking for site with crypto payments options. I already doing search from Google, but I just need to know the best options from Bitcointalk members coz I believe here is the best place to find legit site.
This market is available on Sportsbet.io as you can see in the screenshot below:

Have your friend register and you can get affiliate bonuses from him if he does play alot of mobile legends.

Here is the direct link to that category on the site for them to see the eSports hub on the site:

They actually moved it over from the splash screen just before Christmas to be more visible because it was near the very end of the slider.
1866  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: (Updated) Stake is generous! (Did you recently get a $40 "Russian Bonus" from.. on: January 06, 2023, 02:08:54 PM
Usually I do not click on these type of emails due to phishing tactics from hackers especially when it says claim a bonus from a casino site and makes you click a link. Because obviously they can and will see your login information and once clicked they can get your casino account's password quite easily when the person has it saved in the device's profile. Even an off chance of a keylogger being placed on the victim's device without them knowing can also be a likely scenario.
Luckily I have the email address connected to this casino on an email address where I do not get notifications immediately so I completely missed the original email so did not click on anything to do with this bonus.
I did see the following email 2.5 hours later and see it is a valid bonus email and claimed the $40.
But a bonus given from a casino by a mistake made?
It is quite confusing for those not knowing what this is about.
-snipped-
So to that effect, I would say congratulations champ, enjoy you $40 mate, you might as well deserve it if we check the amount of money you've wagered.
It seems that not everybody received this bonus email. As from their sportschat they are discussing about it as well and not everybody receives email's from stake or they completely blocked them for some reason or another. In regards to much spam of promotions?
Who knows.
Maybe there was a wagering requirement so to receive this amount in the bonus, as I am nearing $10k for the week of wagering.

Grab from the prediction thread for the EPL forum pool:
Chelski put up a defence, I see... Did they even try to win?
Hate to say it but Chelsea were just out played through out the match and it showed it early on and as soon Sterling got injured within the first 5 minutes of the match I knew my hopes for them beating the champions of last season were done.
Because after that Pulisic got injured as well with in about 15 minutes apart according to the play-by-play from google:

So now they face each other in the FA Cup in 2 days:

Good information @boyptc about the teams and their sponsorships in Dota boot camp training.

Still pretty slow in the esports area especially for the professional play.

1870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: January 05, 2023, 02:18:20 PM
There was another well known and high profiled streamer who confessed to having lost everything on there as well.
Just found out about it 24 hours ago from their own chat area/room from another player who started the same time I had nearly 4 years ago.

Will be putting up a topic about it in the coming week after doing some more research on the developments about what actually happened with this twitch streamer who gambled away investors funds in the millions.
1871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Testimonial during cryptocurrency hearing -Ben McKenzie Crypto is a ponzi scheme on: January 05, 2023, 01:50:25 PM
Well this is the impact of FTX and indeed we can't blame the opinion of people who don't like this especially with the FTX damage some time ago making them even more enthusiastic about doing this as if this is proof that Crypto is a ponzi scheme.
But on the other hand, seeing from the narrative that was conveyed, don't we often hear that because that is an opinion that has always been floated over the last few years to corner Crypto but indeed I am not too surprised because this is their weapon apart from the reason for destroying the environment.
DCG is the owner of CoinDesk who were the media outlet in the cryptocurrency space to leak those documents which comprised the now defunct cryptocurrency exchange and caused the collapse of multiple corporations tied in with FTX.
I remember seeing a chart with these tie-ins and how they each played a role with the collapse.
Will have to do some R&D on it and comeback to display this evidence.
1872  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: January 05, 2023, 12:59:07 PM
Well great game to see between Arsenal and Newcastle, we only miss the emotions of the goals but was a really enjoyable game. Arsenal made more to take the win but cant break the Newcastle defense, the more clearly situation was that save of Pope in the last part of the game.

exciting match last night it's just that newcastle and arsenal really really don't want to drop points so they also played well in the defense of both of them even though Arsenal had superior ball possession but it didn't really pay off and the match score was a draw

I notice one thing when i see the game on TV, its SB the only crypto casino who not only sponsor a club but also make defense of the bitcoin itself in the publicity?

That "Keep calm and HODL" its so much BTC and BTCTALK  Grin
This should also be set as an example by other casinos to provide support to bitcoin or crypto holders to keep holding them when the market is not good
The signage during each of Arsenal's matches have been very prominent and very beautiful to see.
Am liking the animation of the football turning into the BTC symbol, has that touch of class to it since we are all watching a footy match afterall!
I'm also thinking that other crypto casinos are tuning in and noticing as well.

@notblox1 it wasn't meant to be for last nights game but still west ham are in the exact same situation where they must start winning to stay in.
1873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 05, 2023, 12:03:41 PM
Well , even if we like it or not , Spurs really played a great game last night again CP but 1st half should have been with at least 2 goals scored.

Unfortunately , Soton lost again against Nottingham and they must do something very soon if they want to avoid relegation because so far , all I see are defeats in a row.Sad
Shocking result from the Saints and the woes continue for this once high flying club with high hopes at the start of season.
So far they had fallen and you are correct, they are at the very bottom of the table.
Can they relegated?
I would be completely shocked once more if they are come the time where we will know mathematical a club's fate.

Anybody taking Chelsea today @5 odds? They haven't been doing well but I really feel that they can complicate things for City.
I feel there's huge value there, not sure how to approach it though. Chelsea not to lose still pays out more than 2/1, but these odds aren't that attractive.

They do have a lot of injuries, especially in defense. City should be without both Dias and Laporte as well, so BTTS/over 2,5 look attractive as well.
I had been from the restart. Manchester City have not had their players click as they had before the break.
I always had a feeling in my bones that Chelsea will get a well improved performance from Kai Havertz as they did in their last match.
And if Sterling is well enough to dress upon game time then they will have a chance against the former season's EPL Champions this day.
And just pray that Haaland doesn't find his form again with another near hat trick he had been on before the World Cup break.
I don't expect a high scoring game here and have 2-1 scoreline for the Chels.
1876  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin banking is more preferable than normal bank. on: January 05, 2023, 03:39:28 AM
Wasn't there a term "BTC - Banking the unbanked" or was this referring to all of cryptocurrencies making you your own bank?

Now a days you are seeing the corporate and governments regulating arms telling financial banks ban cryptocurreny use to their customers.
Heard this just today from several different media outlets who report on cryptocurrency news specifically.
So this is just one take on the news of this happening in different parts of the world:

1877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 04, 2023, 10:52:44 PM
It will be hard to survive as a team without any sponsors. Unless you are consistently winning tournaments, it will be very hard to even just to sustain the payment of the players. The average salary of professional DOTA players is from 10 to 15K per month. Really top players can get up to 35K per month. Without sponsors, teams will not be able to keep their players. So if a team is not performing well, team owners choose to sell their rights to other team owners.
It's different for those that have already won majors and got enough savings. But it's true, a team that doesn't have any major sponsorship will struggle in the long run.

The salary of the professional Dota 2 players are quite high and that's for real. An organization is earning not just from tournament winnings but mostly from brand deals and sponsorships.

AFAIK, with tournament winnings, the players have % on it and they'll have to share it with everyone together with the org.
Well that would only make sense since they are probably all under a contractual agreement with their respective team to do so.

These players probably stay at gaming camps while on tour and so have to pay for their own amenities.
Of course it is different for every league and esports category.
I only know how Counterstrike players agreements are with their squads starting from the academy and ranking up from there too go on to become professional players.

Yes ralle14 they couldn't continue a game like that because of the mood had undertones that night of shock as the crowd was struck silent and the players wouldn't want to play a game while their friend and some even referred to him as their own family member was critical in hospital because of this.

The report that watched that night was the fans reaction to what they just witnessed and one even said it felt just plain wrong to proceed with the game:

Remember when Saylor told people to take a home equity loan out to buy Bitcoin at the top?

Good times.
That is the worst advice somebody in this space can give anyone else to do.
Everyone here knows how volatile this currency can be and having it just go down by a percentage can really do damage to those who have something worth as much as a house to use for collateral to buy it.
His company sold some but then immediately bought more. This was their strategy for tax harvesting I would assume.
