1861  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has defeated gold on: March 09, 2017, 08:35:12 AM
Bitcoin: $1260/BTC
Gold: $1241/xau
Well, I can not believe that the Bitcoin prices has crossed over gold sooner than I expect. I thought the process would be finished in April. Wow, Bitcoin is truly worth and everyone who has sold their Bitcoin has made a huge mistake. Nothing can stop Bitcoin right now.

Just compare the total value of all gold in circulation and the total value of all bitcoins in circulation.
You will have your answer.  Smiley
Yeah better to total and sum all bitcoins and gold that is circulating in the market to know if bitcoin really do overcome bitcoin gold by this time

1866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: real btc usage on: March 09, 2017, 02:57:11 AM
I think there is no way you can determine or track how many bitcoins is being used to buy stuffs online and how many bitcoins are undergoing payment processor for each shops and merchants that accepts bitcoins as payment in for their services.Even blockchain records would not know on how that bitcoins is being spent or used.
1867  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: March 04, 2017, 12:00:25 PM
Investing bitcoin is a good idea, but then scammers are everywhere, Ponzi sites are everywhere too, many offers that be persuasive but then be aware of that because they are just glittering their lies and make you mind hooked by those things. I was victim so many times by people who are trying to scam my money by investing it to their sites, I was mesmerized by those words and money that can be returned to me in short time. So now I learned, investing money not only bitcoin is a big risk and need lots of guts to face the thing that might happen after you put the risk to them.

You are right that scammers are everywhere, so I would not recommend to invest in some site or bitcoin based business. I count bitcoin itself as worth investing currency. Just buy bitcoin when the price is low and wait to it rise so much to satisfy your all expectations. Yes, it's more look as trading, but with fast speed of bitcoin growing it can really become profitable.

You have a good idea, but it seems to me that now is not the time to buy Bitcoins. The price is very high and is likely soon to be a slight decrease. Then you need to buy
We are still on the correction of the bitcoin price and I will be speculating if we will see the next dump on the early date of march. This is still the best time to get more bitcoin and wait the next pump.

I think the correction phase has gone. It is rising now.
1868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: zcash soon 0.2 btc! on: February 26, 2017, 03:49:00 PM
i think zcash might be getting down in that price because the trend for zcash is down and its not for zcash itself because almost altcoin is getting down. but for zcash, if the dev is really good and have a good solid team, i think they will gets survive to wait the bitcoin price is getting stable so zcash can increase again like before.

I think the big whales are accumulating the ZCash. When they have enough, they will pump it.
1869  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: February 26, 2017, 03:45:28 PM
Be aware of scams when investing Bitcoins.... There are many websites and groups that have come out the last months and promote big returns ...i even read about put 10 BTC and you will receive 0,10 daily for 1 year!!! People when something is too good to be true it's actually 1000% fraud!!! Be careful when invest Bitcoins...

I someone knows a thread where we can post the scams please let me know. It's good those information to be out there and be safe all of us than sorry ...

It is better not to use any Ponzi site.

Investing your money is a big risk especially when you are new in the field, ponzi site is all around and yes just be aware on that thing then Smiley
it is all in your hand to risk or not. Many glittering words out there but then it is too good to be true so just be very careful.

If the interest is more than 15% a year, it is probably Ponzi.

i am sure that the difficulties of zec will be increase as there are many starter miners see that mining zec is an opportunity to them and they can get much of zec right now. but its depend on how much hashrate we have to get much of zec, beside that i hope that zec could be increase too.

Yes, but the higher the hashrate you want to have the higher price you should pay for the miners. Idk, I still think that to mine Bitcoins is more profitable because:

1. The price of BTC is more than 20 times higher than the price of ZEC.

2. ZEC is new and unstable, so the price of it might drop even more in the near future.

Anytime bitcoin mine still profitable. even compare with ZEC. Let say if bitcoin can guarantee his price. and everytime the  supply will be decreasing and it will make the price will increase. economy 101.
The mining phase of ZEC still a long.

I still mine the ZEC. It is profitable.

But for the time being, ETH is more profitable.

For miner who are mining ZEC are making some decent money with ZEC but the people who have invested in zec are waiting for their turn, but it will take some time to reach to at least 0.1 btc.

The miner dumps the coin right now. ZEC still in the early mine and there are lots of the time to mine other ZEC. They will be selling it at the price was getting a little pumping.

The price has not dropped. Does it mean the ZEC is absorbed well?

Hello, I would like to ask if anyone knows for a good way to invest Bitcoins? I am very interested in purchasing shares of a startups, something like bnktothefuture, but with lower minimums.

I am currently active on BTCjam, but I would like to invest in startups too not just loans.

Thanks Smiley
Buying bitcoin is an investment itself however this is on the long term only , as you have noticed the price of bitcoin is going up each day and this means for example if you buy bitcoin when its price is about 700$ and you let it sit for a month and sell it today when its price is about 800$ you would have won 100$ , But if you are looking for fast money you can use your bitcoin in gambling or trading but these have risks.

Just holding Bitcoin is indeed already an investment, but some people however don't seem to realize that. They just want the price to increase like 20% every week. If that doesn't happen, then they consider Bitcoin to be boring where after that they head over to altcoins as they see that they are being pumped badly. These people are looking for constant sensations instead of a long term investment.

I just want the price to rise 1% a week and volatility less than 2% a week.
1872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v9.0 on: December 08, 2016, 09:28:16 AM
Careful with this version, while people report no major power increase, if you ever watched the gpu power consumption in gpu-z, you will see that each card has a power spike when it finishes a share (or something in the same ballpark). If you take the avg power consumption, it might look ok for the PSU, but those spikes, if they are done at the same time on most or all GPUs, even a relatively good PSU will make the system freeze or even shutdown.

Just to confirm, there are some big PSU spikes happening.

Same here. I'm running 7 rx 480 on a single rig and had no problem with v.8. I've had to set -i 1 to stabilize the system. I'm using a Platinum EVGA psu, so its not that. Anyone have any insight?

How much power for the PSU? The fact that it's platinum means very little.
Well, my Platimax 1200 has problems ( freezes ) with 6 480's. No problem with 5 of them. PM shows 850 - ish @ the wall so not registering spikes

A regular wall meter cannot tell because the spikes are really short, but enough to trigger the PSU's protection systems. So only with a high update rate wall meter you can tell.
Are your cards overclocked/overvolted?
Underclocked.... I have other PSUs, looks like Platimax is the most sensitive to this. HX1200i is just warmer but not freezing, Navitas 1250 too

My Corsair AX 1200W monitoring software can see the spikes. they are also there in the V8. But V9 is more obvious.
1873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: zcash soon 0.2 btc! on: November 12, 2016, 07:51:57 PM
as i say guys..i tell you that its will hit 0.2 btc and its hit...thx god i sale all when its time...Wink

It is very possible that the ZCash will go to 0.1 bitcoin in the next few weeks before it bounces back.
1874  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: November 07, 2016, 11:17:11 AM
Investing in the bitcoin is good for the future of yourself and also good for the bitcoin plus you will make profit without any doubts.
Most of the time its just patience we need to make profit with the bitcoin itself, because its unstable.

You are right and the best way to invest your bitcoins would be in trading because there are a lot of ways to invest your bitcoins. But there are also some scam investments so beware.

And if you don't want to invest in trading then you may try to invest with casino's or you may try to be an investor of bitvest.

But there is still a choice if you don't want to invest in casino and trading, that would be by simply holding it.

There are not many ways to invest the bitcoin as most investment site are scams and bitcoin price rises very fast.
1875  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: October 17, 2016, 07:10:51 AM
Investing with the bitcoin is the best thing you can do because lots of people dont know waht to do with the bitcoin and investing is one of the most things that people use to
make money with the bitcoin and it works great.,

It is better not to invest the bitcoin in a random site. There are too many bitcoin related scams now.

When we talk about investment, reputation its something people will ask, if you make a website brand new and no one know you no one will invest, if you have an image online people will try your project. There are several projects to invest, being the most profitable the casinos bankroll where there is a huge capital.
Also it takes a long promotion before you project can be well known and more people can try to invest to your projects.
If you going to invest in bankroll its more risky than investing it into trading site invest in top 20 altcoin in coinmarketcap its more safety..
Any business or investment requires a good marketing to be successful and if you are into business you should consider that at first hand as no business that succeed with lack of promotion or marketing, that could be the expenses in the first but you can take it back when you business will be popular and you will start to make money.

Yes you need to have patience to make profits from your real life business as you cannot expect to start making profits from the first day as it will take time for it to get settled.

Patience is very important in real world investing. If you find a good investment, just hold on to it.
1876  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: September 29, 2016, 05:35:35 PM
There are cryptocurrencies whose projects are basically startups, because they have platforms for blockchain services and applications.
Take a look in the top coins on the coinmarketcap site and look for projects with more potential to grow.

Investing bitcoin on different crypto projects is quite good in my own experience and sometimes it can make your bitcoin grows up to tenfold.

I know somebody invested in the Etheruem ICO in the middle of 2014. The Etheruem price has risen a lot since.
1877  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: September 16, 2016, 06:55:42 PM
I hear alot of positive experiences from people investing in casino bankrolls but that's because they invest big amounts and then they have less chance to lose.
Also bitcoin itself is a great investment although you'd have to be invest fiat in it. But still it could give you a great return with patience.

bitcoin itself is a great investment. So you do not have to invest the bitcoin in other things. Just keep it.
1878  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: September 04, 2016, 05:13:32 PM
I would not invest all my money in bitcoin. My main choice is to invest in trading and also partly I used to buy gold. it would be fair and I felt comfortable and safe work like that.
I agree with you . using bitcoin in accordance with the portion of each would be wise. we could save the money we have in different places.
all can be guaranteed because we have shared. 50% for bitcoin and 50% more to buy gold bars.

I bought some bitcoin in the last few years. I save 90% of the coin, and use about 10% of the coins to buy things.
1879  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: August 21, 2016, 03:39:58 PM
There are several crypto projects that are basically startups. I recommend you to look at the best currencies on the coinmarketcap website, then follow the team and development of the coins to see if it is worth investing.
yeah I think there are a lot of cryptocurrency that have the potential to have a high price. You must be keen in choosing crypto currency. This is a good investment for you dude

Investing in altcoin is the best thing to do, but  make sure that you choose a right coin and altcoin market involves huge pumps and dumps so we need to take decision at the right time.

I want to do this but still I dont know what altcoin it is to trust. I see ETC is really growing and its background from ETH became successful. I dont really know if I am a little picky or just being too much cautious with what to invest in.

If  you have plan to invest in ETC then I think this is the right time for you to invest in it, as it is expected that price will rise in coming days, so you will be making good profits in quick time.

I do not think so. It is better to wait until the middle of September to buy the ETC. At that time, we will know if the dump of the ETC has finished or not.
1880  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin reach 500 USD again ? on: August 06, 2016, 10:46:43 AM
I notice this thread was just last year 2015 and yes, for now the price of $500 was already reached and even surpassed. That concludes that this thread is giving us a conservative projection, and normally when we are not too confident to see it, it normally happens. So in overall, I think the question would be after the $500 will it reach to $1,000?

I don't think that price will fall to $500, price is recovering now sow we can expect higher price in coming months and maximum it can achieve in this year is $800 not more then that.

If there is no bad news, the bitcoin price will trade above $550. After a few months, it will trade above $700.
