1861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Opened another business were I accept Bitcoin on: September 14, 2022, 02:14:16 PM
While it is a decent way of earning a side income you must make sure who you are trading with.
Sometimes the other person is not genuine and might use bitcoins which were previously used for illicit activities hence putting you in trouble.
Some might also try to scam you by doing a replace by fee transaction and the solution to this is to at least wait for 2 confirmations to be on the safer side.
On the other hand you will need a good amount of liquidity in order to run this business which might become a problem when your business grows bigger.
Not to mention the legal regulations that you might encounter if you are from a country which restricts cryptocurrency trading.
1862  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: September 12, 2022, 04:47:23 PM
Not all people end up lending money, I think that those who lend money face their problem in the most diplomatic way possible, I have seen some cases of addiction where it ends so badly that the person in question who makes so many loans cannot pay them and prefers to tempt against their life, which is totally absurd, because that way they will only leave that debt to their loved ones, and that is something that is done without thinking, for this reason, it is that there must always be money management when playing, that is to say what you want to take risks so that you don't end up losing more than normal and then the game is not seen as fun but as torture.

Right on point. The reason why I think those people decide to take away their life is may be because they think that by ending their life the debt will go away with them.
The fact is that in "some" cases it indeed goes away with the person because their families completely deny of the loan to be paid.
But in the rest of the cases their families are forced by the owners to pay them back the loan taken by the person.
All of this could be avoided if that person simply uses a risk management strategy and only loses what he can afford to lose.
1863  Economy / Gambling / Re: Drake vs Stake part 2 on: September 12, 2022, 04:42:47 PM
Oh well, I don't much about Drake's controversies because I just listen to his songs and that's all.
But after reading your post I just googled it and found a lot of controversies he has been into.
I guess he's not that lovable after all  Grin
He is definitely one of the best singers out there and he made some big achievements so far, but he isn't exactly a great human being due to all the controversies that he has been part of over time.

The recent one with Millie Bobby Brown was one of his worst controversies if you ask me.

Damn, I didn't even know about that. Is Drake into Millie ? who's just a teen right now by the way.
I never knew this side of Drake thanks to this post for bringing me this attention to him.
I wonder how come Stake partnered with Drake while he is having so many controversies already.
Did Stake didn't knew about it or is it taking a risk while putting his fame at stake.
1864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Censorship in Bitcoin online forums on: September 11, 2022, 02:03:26 PM
/r/bitcoin(same with /r/cryptocurrency) has always been extremely controlled. If you want little to no censorship, you can simply host your own content on your own server. It wouldn't be 100% censorship proof, but the likeliness of your server host taking down your server is very slim.

If it is just about market manipulation then why not post it here on bitcointalk itself.
Although it is moderated as well but I don't think such post would be deleted by any moderator. What do you think ?

I guess market manipulation may be happening with bitcoin but on lower levels.
It might not be happening at huge levels since that would require a lot of bitcoins.
1865  Local / India / Re: BitcoinExchangeIndia.com - Suggest Improvement on: September 11, 2022, 01:54:28 PM
Apart from the exchange price, you can also add a services section and display a list of services provided by other merchants.
For example some offer mobile recharge via BTC and some offer buying domains via BTC etc...
You will have to dig up the internet and compile a list out of it which is indeed a time consuming job.
1866  Local / India / Re: Future of remote jobs causing stress on: September 11, 2022, 01:48:17 PM
I am working in a MNC and have opted to work remotely. The work is decently challenging and engages me to work around 10 hours a day.
But I feel very comfortable since I don't have to travel to office and I can wear comfy clothes at home and work according to my timings.
At the same time I make sure to take proper care of my body. I hit the gym and workout 1 hour every day 6 days a week.
I take short breaks every 2 hours while I am working and sometimes take a power nap of 30 minutes in the afternoon.
I drink plenty of water and these are some of the ways I stay healthy and hence no stress.

P.S: @pakhitheboss a merit for regular exercise  Wink
1867  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance to remove USDC as a tradable asset. on: September 11, 2022, 01:38:28 PM
USDC has a huge marketcap and binance shouldn't have included USDC in the list.
I guess this is a smart move from binance to make sure BUSD is in the race.
So may be they are trying to take advantage of their own platform to secure some marketcap for BUSD.
And why not? Usdc is not a scam coin and for a big exchange like binance, they should have this in the list because almost all the crypto exchange do also have usdc on them. It has a huge marketcap so the coin deserves to be listed. Only those who are being removed are the coins with less and no volume because they consume space for nothing. I don't think this is a smart move from binance but I already see a big hate coming from them.

This is also a big loss from them as there are traders who are using the usdc pair but I think they won't care. What's important to them for now is that they will make their own stable coin on top.

The bolded part is exactly why I said that it is a smart move from binance. They are making their own stable coin on top by this move.
USDC is by far one of the best stable coins out there but binance is removing it. This will definitely give a negative short term impact on binance.
But this will get them a long term benefit. Also, I guess they are not removing USDC completely since they are converting USDC into BUSD directly.
1868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 11, 2022, 07:17:15 AM
The money is flowing into exhibition matches because there are famous names getting involved in those matches.
They are creating a good hype for those matches and hence the tickets are being sold anything.
For example: Logan Paul vs Mayweather match was really hyped and gained a lot of attention.
For old boxers, of course, titles are no longer the main focus for them, they will offer to compete in exhibition boxing fights if the pay is worth it, as in the fight between Mayweather Vs Logan Paul which is quite sensational and strange because in terms of achievements, it is clear that the fight was not worth it, but because Paul Logan has a lot of money and his influence as a YouTuber will certainly be an attraction for the audience to watch the fight, so that Mayweather does not hesitate to accept the challenge and earn quite a lot of money eve though their boxing win record is very much different, namely Mayweather 50 wins while Paul Logan 0 wins.

That fight between Logan Paul and Mayweather is literally a straight pot of honey especially for the latter because Logan Paul is a perfect opponent in an exhibition fight, not because he has some talents in boxing and can fairly challenge Mayweather but because Logan Paul has a vast loyal fan base that will really support him whatever he does.

And for Mayweather, knowing that fact alone is already enough for him because he is already assured that their fight will bring them big revenue, and yes it happened.

Although everyone knew the outcome and treated the match as a purely entertainment event it's still funny to know that the match ended in a draw.
This makes the point stronger that exhibition match are mostly scripted otherwise Mayweather would have been declared a winner already.
1869  Economy / Gambling / Re: Drake vs Stake part 2 on: September 11, 2022, 07:10:31 AM
I agree with that. Drake is indeed a genuine and lovable person for he has done a lot of good deeds.
He has also shown it in his songs. It's good to see Drake in the crypto community but there some allegations on his influence on stake.
Genuine and Loveable? You cracked me up. Do you have any idea as to how many controversies he has been part of so far? He is your typical celebrity basically.

Oh well, I don't much about Drake's controversies because I just listen to his songs and that's all.
But after reading your post I just googled it and found a lot of controversies he has been into.
I guess he's not that lovable after all  Grin
1870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To all 100x hunters out there on: September 10, 2022, 02:43:39 PM
OP is partially correct. 2017 did show us that not all the coins in the top 20 can sustain in the crypto community.
Many projects just go down the drain and never come back up. But at the same time it does not mean we can't invest in them for a nice profit.
The coins mentioned by OP in the post are some potential coins and few of them definitely can give us some really nice profits.
I have invested in a few of them and I think they will certainly make 3x in the next bull run.
1871  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Crazy Fun Facts About Casinos And Gambling You Might Not Know. on: September 10, 2022, 02:31:53 PM
Women do know when to steal the show, on the given link by @OP I read that the first legal Casino license is issued to a woman.  I was like wth, gambling is dominated by males during those times let alone by mobsters and gangsters.  So I was surprised when the first legal Casino is established by a woman named Mayme Stocker in 1920 for the Northern Club.  She was a wife and a mother, but her husband does not support her so she pushed its legality and opened the Casino herself.[1]

[1] https://www.ranker.com/list/casino-facts-and-statistics/kellen-perry

I am surprised with that fact. I never knew that the first casino was opened by a woman.
This thread is turning out to be an eye opener for many people who gamble.
It's a pity that her husband didn't support her but I guess she would have made an incredible income by opening a casino.

For those interested in FUN token premium investment experiment, I've just posted in the official thread at Securities forum board the third episode of the series containing results from the last month:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5405945.msg60912522#msg60912522

The results there suggest that you can do good if you have that huge number of FUN tokens of near or just over 500.000 of them. You can use the 16 daily spins or 480 spins monthly and sure that is an added bonus to your Freebitco.in balance.By seeing that thread you are making me go back and invest heavily in fun token,to go at least at the 250.000 range,it is a good added value to use the Premium Benefits or to just lock them for a short amount of time, when you have a lot of them even locking for 15 or 30 days make sense.Well done to you.

Wow, he must be having a lot of money in BTC to make that kind of an investment in FUN tokens.
The interest is quite decent but what I like the most is the fact that he is getting a decent interest rate as well as so many WoF spins.
This is a good way of earning passive income but unfortunately I can't afford to make that kind of an investment right now.
1873  Economy / Gambling / Re: Drake vs Stake part 2 on: September 10, 2022, 02:17:21 PM
I love this kind of videos, also seeing Drake competing against stake is something that is on another level, for me it is, unfortunately I couldn't see the live broadcast, but when I see it on a delayed basis I see why Drake is so loved in many aspects, I know that many people can cause feelings of envy, but seeing that Drake does so many charitable works and cares so much about others is something that causes a lot of emotion and more if he is a very influential person and who does so many things so well, I like that he uses all that fame to do good things, if the most famous people were or had a bit of Drake, they would make a difference.

I agree with that. Drake is indeed a genuine and lovable person for he has done a lot of good deeds.
He has also shown it in his songs. It's good to see Drake in the crypto community but there some allegations on his influence on stake.
People say that stake would have paid Drake to gamble on their site so that they can use it as a way of promotion.
This may be true because this is how many gambling sites get a lot of traffic on their sites these days.
1874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Become A Profitable Trader with stop loss and trailing stop loss on: September 10, 2022, 01:39:12 PM

Although trailing stop loss is a good feature you should reconsider your strategy and plan accordingly.

Trailing stop is good but it has it own disadvantage also. If the stop loss is done, the trade direction can go on but you will be out already.

If you set a stop loss at the same price wouldn't the order get executed in less than a minute.

Setting a stop loss very close to entry price or same price will not be possible because it will not trigger or activated if you don't allow for certain space between the entry point and the stop loss because the platform has some charge on the trader.

Yes ofcourse, everything has their own advantages as well as disadvantages.
Trailing stop loss has some disadvantages too but every other order type has it too.
It just depends on the individual on what is their preference for the same.

I guess this is a smart move from binance to make sure BUSD is in the race.

1876  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Become A Profitable Trader with stop loss and trailing stop loss on: September 09, 2022, 04:02:41 PM
One of the mistakes that I am making and that prevent me from being a profitable trader is that I do scalping and I lose a lot of money with the fees.

But now I have discovered that binance offers the possibility to trade without commissions for a limited time. So if I set the stop loss at the same price as the entry price (or one cent below the buy price) it should be relatively easy to be profitable.

On the trades I lose I would only lose a few cents and on the trades I gain I would gain much more by using the trailing stop...this commission free trading sounds too nice to be true, doesn't it? is there a catch I don't know about?

If you set a stop loss at the same price wouldn't the order get executed in less than a minute.
We know how volatile the market is and 2% - 3% fluctuations are very normal in crypto.
Although trailing stop loss is a good feature you should reconsider your strategy and plan accordingly.
Try making a few practice trades and then consider investing bigger amounts.
1877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are all crypto gambling charges expensive when it comes to USDT? on: September 09, 2022, 02:49:39 PM
$19 transaction fees for USDT is definitely huge. I generally play on BC.GAME and currently its charging $4.5 transaction fees which is still way less than $19.
As others have mentioned you can opt for TRC20 chain and get a much cheaper transaction fees.
I guess they have increased the transaction fees because many people decide to play with USDT and so it would benefit them on increasing the fees.
This basically shows that this site is definitely not user friendly.
1878  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING! SCAM SITE on: September 09, 2022, 02:39:31 PM
Does BC.GAME outsource their software to other websites as well ?
I get it that there should have been some kind of scam in order to treat this as a legit scam but isn't cloning a website a theft in itself?
If BC.GAME doesn't outsource their software then this is a classic theft and most probably this website would try to scam their users in future since they have copied the software from other website.
1879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Bitcoin Traders Arrested Due To Illegal Trading on: September 08, 2022, 04:19:34 PM
Bitcoin is famous and journalists like to portray bitcoin as a negative influence on people.
Have you ever seen any positive news about bitcoin on TV ? Mostly no right.
So whenever bitcoin is involved in any crime the journalists put the limelight on bitcoin as if it is because of only that the crime had happened.
People should understand that it's because of the negative mind of the criminals that crimes happen.
All the other things are just a catalyst.
1880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS DEAD! on: September 08, 2022, 04:14:24 PM
So does that mean the next best crypto i.e., ETH is going take the first spot since it is getting the upgrade to PoS ?
But we see that ETH price is falling too and that is because the entire market is falling.
We have seen such posts previously as well and we just have to wait until the next bull run to prove you wrong.
Just keep waiting to see bitcoin rising again.
