Rapist are the one who promotes sexual activities to the victim even if the victim do not want it. If I will give punishment to them, I will give death penalty. Because if you experienced to be raped, it can cause trauma to you that can lead to mental disorder. I believed that we should respect all the people and we should not harm them through physical, emotional and mentally. Rape means permanent emotional and mental trauma to the victim. Therefore, the rapist must also be given a permanent punishment, with no second chance. Either he should be hanged, or he should be sentenced to life without parole. The rape victim knowing that her rapist is still alive will still make her still worried for her safety. She might be thinking that what if he got loose and meet him again? Death penalty will help the victim to recover a little. The damage to her is permanent so keeping the suspect alive is unbearable for her. Even if the suspect is kept in a penal colony without any chance of a parole, the victim can live the rest of her life in peace. Death penalty is OK for me, but that sort of punishment will be too lenient for a rapist. |
