Hello, I am asking forum moderators to change the maximum lenght for the Hero and Legendary Members signature. Now on it's 4000 chars lenght. Full Member and Sr Member is also 4000 max lenght. I request/suggest to change as soon as possible the max lenght for Hero/Legendary to 8000 characters. BBCode Sig designers will have more space for their designs. And Hero members will gain some extra ++ from beign a Hero member  Please consider my request and aprove it. Thanks. Best regards. |

If you are following security instructions while storing your coins nothing bad will happen. Chance is as little as that your bank account will be compromised. How can you explain all the hacked bitcoin exchanges though? Looks pretty convenient to me. Well some cases proved that hackers are not always needed when we have an inside job. But, thing is there will be always some security issues and same thing is with any digital good made to storage your money. Can't decide which is worse: the maniacal trollfest when the price is going down, or the deafening silence and boredom when trolls have left because price is stable/going up.  This is not the best thread to talk about it. Price is making hard times to speculate what and when will happen. For now on - price depends on how many people will join into the world of Bitcoin and how many of them will want to buy a bitcoin We are in the early stage of what bitcoin will bring to us in the future. According to bitnodes.io there are around 6500 nodes. Why doesn't a millionaire or the government just buy 6000 IP addresses and setup 6000 nodes with a faked blockchain?
Would this give them the possibility of endless amount of Bitcoin and reversing transactions by spreading wrong blockchain data?
To do that they need > 51% of a hash power not 51% of nodes. And ghash.io pool have more than 51% of total hash power. And they signed a paper that they will never do 51% attack. I imagine it is possible for the government to buy as many miners as possible and posses >51% of total hash power but what would be their reason? |
