1881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Method of gaining bitcoin from scratch on: April 11, 2016, 04:31:19 PM
If you have some luck and some time on your hands you could trade altcoins and turn them into bitcoins but this is risky.  If you are looking for free bitcoins outside of faucets you will need to do some work or sell something.
1882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this what we called "addictive to gamble"? on: April 11, 2016, 04:23:24 PM
I think it would be an addiction to gambling if you had to keep gambling, if you lose one day and then had to go back and try to make up what you lost that could be seen as being addicted.

Addiction can be different for everyone, if I smoke just one cig a day does that make me less addicted then someone who smokes 20 a day? we are both addicted but that other person has a stronger degree of addiction.
I guess if you keep doing something regardless of the outcome this is addiction.
1883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much Bitcoins have you EARNED so far ? on: April 08, 2016, 04:52:29 PM
More than I had when I started, if you do earn bitcoin try not to lose it all by gambling as that is all too easy, you haven't got too far to go before you hit your 1 bitcoin, good luck.
1884  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: April 08, 2016, 04:48:05 PM
I thinks it's most probable that bitcoin will reach the $1,000 mark again, what would I do? that would all depend on how much bitcoin I manage to save in 20 years, I would probably sell some but not all as I would need to keep some for my retirement if I get that old.
1885  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: April 08, 2016, 09:22:01 AM
2022 doesn't seem that far in the future now, a lot can happen in 6 years but I believe that bitcoin will definitely be in the mainstream a lot more and integrated into many technologies.

Gradually year by year we will see it grow in it's use and hopefully within those 6 years some advancement will be made, I think 6 years is enough for miners to reach a consensus.
1886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GOOGLE PLAY STORE on: April 08, 2016, 09:18:21 AM
This isn't the official app, is it?

I haven't had a look as I don't have my android with me but if this is not an official app you should tread carefully just in case.
1887  Economy / Speculation / Re: With the halving coming... on: April 08, 2016, 06:21:18 AM
If it reached that level I would be kicking myself for not getting more but I would probably sell some and buy back cheaper as that price will not be stable.
1888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin survive world war III? on: April 08, 2016, 06:15:31 AM
Who is to say that we would even survive world war three.  If humanity survives and we still have power and the internet then bitcoin will probably be the beat currency to be trading with as I would imagine the world would be in bad shape without much infastructure remaining.

I do very much believe that if we do find ourselves in another world war it could wipe out the vast majority of us due to the devestating levels of technology out there.
1889  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 171 blocks solved! on: April 06, 2016, 12:29:30 PM
It's been a while since the pool has hit a block, might be a good time to try your luck, I have just rented a few TH hope it pays off.
1890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CCB] CryptoClub ★ ROUND P-20 ★ on: April 05, 2016, 03:48:55 PM
Might be worth stocking up on a few of these?  or do we think it's dead and buried for ever.
1891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think is killing Bitcoin, if anything is? on: April 04, 2016, 12:52:06 PM
Pretty much what umaOuma said, also the fact that it is difficult to use in the real world for everyday purchases, although there are various apps out there we don't yet have one killer app that can be used to pay with bitcoin in stores.

Just recently I heard of Plutus which sounds promising, it allows you to pay at any NFC enabled merchant with bitcoin through their app, things like this will encourage more people into bitcoin and also some more positive media!
1892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DES] Destiny (smart contract) | Deposit system | sub roadmap on: April 04, 2016, 12:49:25 PM
I have been watching this for the last few days and have picked up a little bit of DES, seem like Bittrex is making sure they have everything sorted before launching which isn't a bad thing really.
1893  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB: Oculus Rift CV on: April 04, 2016, 11:15:49 AM

1894  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Own casino in your country? on: April 04, 2016, 11:12:24 AM
In the UK you will need a license, a lot of bitcoin gambling sites block people in the UK from registering due to this.
1895  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advise a profitable cloud mining service on: April 04, 2016, 10:01:03 AM
The only one I have ever signed up to is Genesis Mining, but a ROI is not something that will come quickly if at all, it will take a good 12 months to see a return and then it isn't going to be huge, nowadays cloud mining is not something that you should really be getting into especially when the reward halves.

There are a lot and I mean a lot of supposed cloud mining sites that pop up and are scams and you will never see your bitcoin again so make sure and do some research on the company before you invest anything.
1896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: eCommerce giant Amazon finally embraces Bitcoin on: April 03, 2016, 04:48:14 PM

1898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a thread on the funny way uᴉoɔʇᴉq, etc., is showing up in these forums? on: April 01, 2016, 10:10:28 PM
There have been a lot of threads regarding this April fools joke by Theymos, no need to even do a search, just by looking at the unread posts list you will see a couple I'm sure.  It did confuse the hell out of me this morning and thought was another language at first  Cheesy
1899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins in IPO on: April 01, 2016, 02:37:12 PM
These coins would normally be announced in the altcoin announcement thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0
1900  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the banks dont give free money? Why they loan it? on: April 01, 2016, 01:00:31 PM
I don't see too much of an issue with banks charging a small amount of interest as they need to survive, what I have a problem with is the payday and short term loan companies which have interest levels up in the thousands, these just prey on the poor people who need money quickly and are struggling.
