on seeing the heading i thought it is really a wonderful news as i am using amazon for all of my purchases. it is high time that amazon and other major players should allow bitcon. hope it will happen pretty soon

Logically,you can still buy shit from Amazon using third party services like purse.io.More such services will be introduced in the near future.It barely matters for people like me weather Amazon will accept bitcoin or not as I'm buying my goods with my bitcoins anyway.I have pay few bucks extra but its worth the money.

Why spend bitcoin? It's like those folks who want to trade using precious metals. Bitcoin is best as a stire of value, unlike fiat, and it's completely inconvenient to use it as a currency. That's what fiat is for. I won't be disappointed if Amazon never takes bitcoin.

you cannot reverse the transaction with bitcoin like you can do with a bank. bitcoin needs more features like a trusted automated escrow service where it can decide if you need a refund.
I think thats why ebay and amazon wont use it.

In addition to that the exchange rates would climb from the current $400-430 levels to at least $1,000 (and probably more than $4,000). But we all know that it will never happen. Apple, Amazon, Ebay, Paypal.etc are hand in glove with the big bankers. They will never allow Bitcoin to grow. Bitcoin can be an existential threat for them.

Even it was an April fool, what i feel is that One day the All Commence Giants including Amazon etc will be including Bitcoins as a mode of payment,
because of the reason only that if they dont accept bitcoins they will be out of the business.
