1881  Other / Meta / Re: My password was changed on this forum on: June 22, 2023, 10:26:11 PM
OP I think you forgot your login password which promoted the change of password. I would advise you to store your password in a good place so as to avoid excessive changing of password.

Truly if it were to be hackers who got access to your account I believe their first actions will be to change your email so as not to allow you have access to your account here. So the idea of possible hack is not the problem but you forgot your login details.
Reset password is always there for you to use when ever you forget your password mate.
1882  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Apart from "OP" any other slag every beginner needs to know? on: June 22, 2023, 09:35:01 PM
There are a million and one acronyms available to learn. You can Google them for yourself to see and know what they stands for. Here on this platform, there are some threads existing here already so that would be easier for you to read and understand since they are pertaining to this platform.
I could remember I had to do something of that nature here for newbies and those who have no idea what some acronyms stands for.
You can see below the link to the thread for your perusal.

1883  Other / Meta / Re: fillippone merited thread need more support of merit source. on: June 22, 2023, 09:18:43 PM
OP, I was wondering with deep thoughts why this thread and from what I can see is that there is no factual basis on which this proposals of yours stands on. I can attest that all merits source are very much active and doing their best to reward those who merit it but OP, if you feel to, you can see the procedure in becoming one is clearly spelt out by the administrator of this platform. So you can do that yourself and stop the complaints. I believe when you get there you too would face same and know what it takes to go through the boards, reading and meriting post that deserves it. Anything outside this is a waste of time OP.
1884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without money, the knowledge is a waste on: June 22, 2023, 08:52:09 PM
It's nice you agreed with it; maybe the OP missed those important parts about bitcoin knowledge. Not only is the example the only method to earn Bitcoin for free, but there are people who have learned about Bitcoin and are being paid the same amount of Bitcoin for attending seminars and teaching others the knowledge they have gathered. They can also earn from participating in online surveys regarding Bitcoin and crypto in general and still get paid for their service, to mention but a few of the many other ways to earn Bitcoin by just getting the knowledge. It's really awkward for one to think that any particular knowledge could be considered waste.
Agreed, there are many ways to earn money with knowledge of bitcoin. I read OP's thread and he only thinks about investing in bitcoin. I think OP have hard times investing money in bitcoin but he can also think about other ways of money if he has the knowledge of bitcoin. Nowadays people sell online courses like crazy, op can make online course with the knowledge he have and can earn more money then most of bitcoin investors. He can use that money to invest in bitcoin.

I think investment is not the problem rather OP was trying to make an emphasis on the importance of money in the society which I think is the current happenings in the society. Of lately, I have come to realize that people tend to go for people  who have fat  bank account than those with the knowledge as they are seen as not serious in life.

When an individual with money speaks, you see they applaud and cheer them up in gatherings because after talking he backs it up with money but when the other with knowledge speaks with nothing to support, they then to mock them as they have nothing to offer. These are the challenges in the present day  society and this is what I think OP was trying to pass accross.
1885  Economy / Gambling / Re: l0tt0.com on: June 22, 2023, 08:37:17 PM
OP I was wondering if your lotto got all  it takes to operate as I did a search for your license. I did not see anything of that nature then what confidence do you think members here would have doing anything with your lotto.
I have no idea of this question have been asked by anybody but I am still curious to ask as well. Do you require KYC? What is the minimum age limit to take part in the lotto?
Are there restrictions for countries from taking part in the lotto game.
Please do well to answer these questions as they are very important to know.
1886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 TronFun.Com | Roulette & Duels | Provably Fair / Social Games | Fast Dep/With on: June 22, 2023, 06:49:39 PM
First of all welcome to bitcointalk platform. I see you have a nice casino. If truly this you have posted about your min. and max. withdrawal then you have done well as a casino because this would attract more traffic to your casino.

OP I would advise you to register a coppa member account so you could upload pictorial excerpts from their website about their casino here so that members would see for themselves what you offer.
Do well to furnish us with more information about your casino here as this post is not enough to convince us to getting registered with your casino.

Nevertheless, there are lots of casinos out there which would need you to compete with so in that case you would need to do a signature campaign to advertise and promote your casino here and I would recommend  @Royse777 to manage your campaign for you as he has the best expertise, coupled with experience and large followership to doing that in your favor. Do well to contact him as he is open to welcoming you to deal.
1887  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will there ever be any safe centralised exchange ? on: June 22, 2023, 06:20:30 PM
The thing is that exchanges will be needed as long as people keep getting paid in fiat for their goods and services.

But yeah, centralized exchanges might be stopped by the government when they start putting out the CBDCs.

Even worse, CEXs might become the trading platform for CBDCs after launch. That is if governments are planning to make CBDCs extensible. Sort of like a stablecoin which is programmable and can be used on smart contracts ("De-Fi"). Fiat (either physical or digital) is still the dominating force of the mainstream economy, so don't expect crypto to take over anytime soon. Exchanges (particularly CEXs) will be relavant as long as the world is stuck with the Fiat standard.

Once BTC becomes the standard unit of account (like a reserve currency), CEXs will either cease to exist or switch to crypto-only trading. The crypto world is highly unpredictable, so expect the unexpected. Who knows where the future will lead us? Just my opinion Smiley

I really do not think CEX would cease to exist irrespective of what would happen in their nearest future. Although the Crypto space is unpredictable but I believe there is always an alternative to getting things done than pushing the CEX out of market or existence. The CEX  played a great role in the speedy spread of Crypto currencies globally irrespective of the location and laws governing it. Without the CEX, Crypto or blockchain would not have gone this far.

If the government choose to trade their CBDCs on CEX  platforms, that's alright as it would give a boast to the cex for their credibility and reliability. This would keep the market moving.
1888  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will there ever be any safe centralised exchange ? on: June 22, 2023, 03:51:35 PM
~snip~
Of course. Without KYC, I fail to see how centralized exchanges would be able to survive in the long run. Governments will just close their operations for good. With decentralized exchanges, that's another story. There's really no such thing as an exchange (either centralized or decentralized) that's 100% safe and secure. You'd need to protect your crypto by following the necessary security precautions.

Flaws/vulnerabilities will always exist, but if you properly secure your crypto, it'll be almost impossible for malicious actors to rob you. With the FTX collapse, it's likely centralized exchanges will cede control of private keys and/or seeds to customers in the near future. Who knows if this will make CEXs bigger and stronger than ever? Just my thoughts Grin

The thing is that exchanges will be needed as long as people keep getting paid in fiat for their goods and services.

But yeah, centralized exchanges might be stopped by the government when they start putting out the CBDCs.

If I am not mistaken, I guess you were trying to say "as long as people keep getting paid in Crypto for their goods and services" Well what you have said is not bad because as long as it is so, people would definitely look for where to exchange their token or coin so as to buy more goods to  stuck up their various shops and businesses. Hence exchange is very much important and appreciated to keep existing so that there would always be a medium for third party conversations.

Lastly, centralised exchanges are operational and functional at the mercies and supervision of the government and therefore would do accordingly and everything possible to remain relevant in the mainstream. I see no reasons why centralised exchange would be stopped by the government even if they got theirs. They earn revenue from the centralised exchange and Crypto enthusiast would prefer them more than the government own which I believe the government knows very much alright so why would they the government think of closing the centralised exchange. I think that would not be feasible.

1889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small Birthday Gift - Bitcoin on: June 22, 2023, 01:43:43 PM
I got acquainted with something new today, I had no idea that birthday gifts can be given in this way. You have done a unique job. As a birthday gift where normal people gift teddy bears or other interesting things, you give Bitcoin as a birthday gift to your loved one. Since you have already gifted Bitcoin to your loved ones, it seems that your loved ones are also involved with Bitcoin. If he is directly involved with Bitcoin, he will surely be very happy to receive this gift. And the person you give a gift to will surely keep your gift carefully.

This is not new though there have been members here who did that in time past but you did well mate. I know she would be much happier for the time being but this is good you  do the needful in time.
You know birthday comes once in every year. So when it comes to that special day, celebrate like never before, jubilate and sing praise to mark your birthday.

Congratulations.
1890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New to Bitcoin on: June 22, 2023, 01:18:32 PM
hi guys im 64 years old and i want to learn how to use bitcoin email me at stevenjohnstone@mail.com with any tips or whatever i need to learn so i can make money these days

OP at first I will welcome you to this platform and secondly, I'll correct your errors;

1. As a newbie, your can ask questions of inquiries as to how things works on this platform here. There you would see some questions asked by some newbies and they got replies and I believe your questions are not different from them. There are also response there too which you can read for better understanding.

2. Dropping your email address requesting for tips through this platform is very wrong which I believe you must have been called to order as it exposes one to possible scam and hack attempt. This act of yours looks suspicious as you are a newbie with no activities and reputation for a backup. You can do your own research rather than waiting for email tips as this would keep you more sensitive on the case matter.

Lastly, I would advise you edit your post removing your email address as it is not necessary for the kind of post made here by you. Such email is not welcoming and others might have risk.
1891  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What type of posts should a newbie post? on: June 22, 2023, 12:58:33 PM
It is not forbidden to create a thread that inquires an important topic that may help other newbies in their participation in the forum.  Aside from the guideline given on the earlier replies and the Newbie Guideline pinned thread, it is a good thing that you read and understand the topic of the thread, try to browse the replies and see if your thought is already been stated by the earlier reply, and if your thought is already stated, you can either agree with the thought giving your own version and your own example of the reply since answer maybe the same but they have different example that strengthen the impact of the given replies. You can always search the internet if ever you have doubt about the replies and correct them with your own information supported by the fact stated on the internet.

Another thing, don't be rush in answering threads, often times misreading happen resulting in your reply going out of topic.
You are correct mate, as a matter of fact, thread of inquiries is very important as it bothers a question and answer conversation between members guiding a newbie to scale through onboard this platform.
Newbies on their own have roles to play in reading through to getting knowledge about the platform which keeps their knowledge enlightened about how things are done on this platform.
1892  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin high transaction fees is a disadvantage to small business owners on: June 22, 2023, 12:41:57 PM
OP, it is good that you are taking such a bold step to adopting bitcoin as a means of payment and I hope bitcoin is acceptable in your country where you are.
Before you do this I would advise you to do a proper in-depth analysis for your betterment before further implemention.

As we all know, transaction fees these days are something else and it would not be making any sense paying for a smaller good with a high transaction fee but rather buying a product of high price will be okay if paying for a transaction fee but we all know both parties involved in a business definitely have in mind to cut down expenses. So it all narrows down to the particular goods to be paid for.
1893  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies Stop Teaching When You Need To Learn. on: June 22, 2023, 10:12:50 AM
The simple mistakes that newbies keep making .. I thought it was right to allow them Since the rules on speech liberty gives a huge liverage on anyone that's atleast, registered in here.
Sometimes, they feel they know too much already to be corrected or informed on what to do....that's where it becomes a crime to tell a member on a lower rank what not to do; I always say, it's better to read more than write.
There's no experience that a newbie would ever have more than a long standing member in here - as long as BTT is in the picture. The more you stay in here and study the interface, the more you become confident of what you do.

Sandra 🧑‍🦰
You are correct mate. When you continue to familiarize with the platform, you get to know more about te platform and how to go about activities here but these newbies are not really patient enough to follow guidelines. They assume they know everything even when they know nothing about the platform even with the newbie tag on them which should tell them where they belong, they still do not see that.
Irrespective of who the newbie account holder is, as long as it is a newbie account, one should know how to compose themselves and learn and not to start creating any form of awareness here.
1894  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How being open to ideas and comments help you learn? on: June 22, 2023, 10:05:03 AM
Surround yourself with people who criticize you. You will learn most from them. They will always push you with their negativity. Don't avoid people who always find a way to criticize you, they are kind of free bug testers working for you.
One is not always motivated through criticism. At times we do not need to be criticized to do more. We just need a simple couragement. Be it constructive or destructive criticism, everything has its time when it is time for you to be praised or encouraged you need the encouragement or praises and when it is time to be criticized you need the criticism. Constant and continuous criticism will however infusion in you some antagonistic spirit and will make you to achieve your goals in a more desperate away.

Not good to get always criticized since it cam drain out our energy since we would think about that we don't do any good on the careers we do. But you should also seek the reason why people criticize you since from this maybe you will get an idea about what are the things you need to fix and enhance so that you can do more better then next time you would earn praises  coming from your colleague's. We need to work more to enhance our knowledge on something we are interested to broad up our knowledge and that can help us gain more profit in future.

It should be a sort of balanced thing. You get criticized when necessary and you get praised when necessary. These two will form a moving force that will propel you to greatness. If you are always being praised, it will also give a sense of wrong judgement and will not motivate you to do your best.  You will definitely think you are the best and therefore you have arrived.
That can also be said for criticism. When you are overly and unduly critisized, you will tend to lose your confidence and self esteem.

Self evaluation too is another thing one needs to do regularly to know how far they have gone. When one checks their activities and people's reaction and response to  what they have down so far it enables them to have a rethink of either putting more efforts to mprove on whatever they are lacking or continue with the good work they have been doing.

One should be able to draw strength from criticisms to make corrections and also take accolades for good work done so as to do more. Only then there would be a balanced equation from bother end.
1895  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am new on: June 22, 2023, 09:21:36 AM
Welcome onboard OP, this platform is a big platform with local boards ie different countries have their boards here too which you can check and see if your country local board is very much active for you to communicate there.
As you can see for yourself, there are lots of boards and each o them have a pinned post just as this thread havee at the top. It is there do that everyone can see it and read so stop guide them through.

I think this can help you OP;

1896  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto scam on: June 22, 2023, 09:09:50 AM
Hello friends i invest my last money 2000$ in crypto but get scam by some website cant withdraw money it say error.
Can someone help me to recovery or with donation i dont have more money i need money back.

Thanks

OP, I was looking at the scam aspect of your complaints though. If we are to go by you following the right procedures, this board is not the right place for this post  as there is a scam accusations board for such complaints and if you want the process of recovering it, it possibility would be narrow but it would be nice you mention the name and details of the said scam Crypto you invested so that we could know and have idea about it in other for members to be conscious about them.

You can relocate this thread to the scam accusations board here.

Lastly, begging is not allowed on this platform as it is a no no here. It is against the forum policies and therefore might cost you your account if care is not taken OP. Come to talk of it, you have no reputation here and barely no activities to prove your commitment to this platform and here you are soliciting for assistance. Nobody would listen to you but rather you face the risk of being tagged a scammer too.
1897  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How being open to ideas and comments help you learn? on: June 22, 2023, 08:47:02 AM
OP, I must say this, ignorance and  pride has made many to fall down. Some people pick offense being corrected. They feel they know it all and looks down on everything and anybody who comes their way.

Most times, taking responsibilities makes one straighten up and to that effects makes one learn and know much about their lapses coupled with the experience they have had in the course of being in their current state of mind.
You are right mate, experience has always been the best teacher, and only those who make mistakes can get experience. It is no doubt that most persons get angry when they are corrected, but I see those people as people who cant change nomatter what, they are avoided by people who would have corrected them because they are stubborn. One thing I have known about taking corrections is that it gives you that experience on the subject matter, and makes you have extra knowledge about it.Most ideas that people make in this forum are very beneficial to people who want to grow financially.I have learnt a lot ever since I joined  bitcointalk community, and would continue to add meaningful contributions to this forum as well.

Experience is indeed a teacher and people learn from it only if they are willing to do so. Being ignorant and not doing the right thing and not  accepting responsibility shows a sign of pride and this has led to the downfall of many. People tend not to go close to these sets of people because they tend not to take corrections.

People of that nature do not go far in life because they will be deserted  and when this happens, it affects them psychologically and this tends to cause a setback in their liives  because of their pattern of doings.

If you want to go far in life, be open, listen to people ahead of you because only them that have gotten the experience could tell you more of what you have no idea of. Accept responsibility of your actions and take corrections if the need be. Only then you can make headway and many would want to come your way as they have seen you to be of good conduct and a good listener.

OP, I see your joy in getting merit from your task. You know it gives a  sense of belonging when you see the positive results of your labour   and achievement on this platform as that is the rewards for a well done work. Merits some how motivates one to do more work by contributing to the development of this platform or help to guide newbies to know the way forward here.
As for newbies, to gain merit is what they are eager to do. So in that course, they go extra miles to rendering services within their capacity to achieving their goals. But it is not all about the merit gained but of knowledge acquired in the course of  your stay here. You can not keep gaining merits without gaining more knowledge from the platform on which you have been a member for so long.
