1881  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Crypto.Games ⭐ 0.8% House Edge on Dice ⭐ Largest wagering contest...ever ⭐ on: July 01, 2020, 11:00:01 PM
Another impressive high roller board today;

One anonymous player has been absolutely slaying it with the Litecoin dice bets, while someone else snagged a quick 6 ETH from a single roulette double-up bet—naisu!

Anybody know what the single highest ever win on Crypto.Games is?
1882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm new here,what is altcoin on: July 01, 2020, 10:01:43 PM
Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency ever released, anything else is described as an altcoin. This is because Bitcoin is widely considered to the be number one cryptocurrencies, and everything else is just an alternative to the de facto number 1 that is Bitcoin.

Bitcoin and most other cryptocurrencies operate on a blockchain database which is used for storing transaction records. But the way these different cryptocurrencies do this can vary considerably, as can their intended function. Bitcoin is intended to be a replacement to fiat currencies, allowing people to "be their own bank" and send payments without the need for intermediaries. Ethereum, on the other hand, is intended to operate as a distributed virtual machine which can run a variety of applications comprised of smart contracts. They have two completely different use cases, but people can still pay for things with Ether—much in the same way that you can still buy things with gold if you wanted.

Neither is better, they're just different.

Still looking for an answer re. this, any useful help will receive merit.

Looking to know if I can unfreeze my TRX instantly when the open is available on TronScan.
1884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: July 01, 2020, 08:27:26 PM
Why don't you invest some coins in freebitco.in ? They are paying 4% annual interest for any amount bigger than 30k sats.

I believe that would bring some more juice to your experiment.

Why would he invest 4% in Freebitco.in when platforms like Nexo, Bitrue, Blockfi etc pay 8-10% APR?

In any case, OP should split his investment across multiple platforms and different avenues, not just casinos, since it's always a good idea to diversify.

While 4% is a decent yield in most cases, investing in a faceless company with no accountability is rarely a good idea in the long run.
1885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to recover funds from bitcoin scam on: July 01, 2020, 06:52:44 PM
This is exactly why noobs should do their research before investing in platforms that seem too good to be true.

There are far too many platforms out there looking to part you with your money by offering what seems like a sure thing, but really, after doing your research you'll find it is anything but.

For the most part, any money lost to these scams is almost certainly gone forever—law enforcement agencies simply don't care, nor do they have the technical capacity do anything about it even if they did.

Especially not for a few thousand bucks like you were robbed for.

Let this be an expensive lesson to you and anybody else reading this thread.
1886  Economy / Services / Re: [For Hire] - Virtual Assistant on: July 01, 2020, 04:58:51 PM
@DarkDays , my fee covers 4 hours/day of VA work, except weekends. Other than what I've wrote in my description I can do graphic/images work, create ERC20 smart contracts (tokens), customer support, reverse-engineering on your competitors, and more. Let me know what you'd need help with, thank you.

Is that 4 hours per day, 7 days per week for $50.

Or a single day of 4 hours for $50—ergo $12.50 an hour.

1887  Economy / Services / Re: [For Hire] - Virtual Assistant on: July 01, 2020, 02:12:09 PM
How many hours of work do you offer per week for the $50? Surely it can't be full time.

You should also provide a list of tasks that you're able to handle. I have more than a few things I'd like to outsource.

I'll be watching for your response.
1888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Odds comparison on: July 01, 2020, 01:00:32 PM
Useful platform here, glad to find a place that allows you to easily change between the awkward American system and more logical fractional systems.

Bookmarked this, I'll be using it whenever some interesting boxing matches start coming on, probably at the end of July or so.

Do they get a commission on bets booked through via their suggestions? They should.
1889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / TRX Unstaking via TronLink (MERIT FOR HELP) on: June 30, 2020, 11:22:31 PM
Has anybody ever unfrozen their TRX via TronLink?

My assets are currently frozen until Saturday, but the Unfreeze button appears to be available now. If I unfreeze now, will I still need to wait until Saturday to be able to transfer my TRX?

Or if I wait until Saturday, will I be able to unfreeze my TRX instantly?

I've seen reports stating that after unfreezing I need to wait 3 days before I can spend the TRX? But there seems to be conflicting information as to whether these 3 days include the 3 days the TRX are originally frozen for.

Non spammy help = merit.
1890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never blame yourself for loss! on: June 26, 2020, 06:56:50 PM
Why wouldn't you blame yourself for your loss? You took a gamble on a game of chance, if you're not to blame... Who is? (Chance?)

The fact is, you should take responsibility for your actions and assess things logically. Skill cannot help you overcome odds, even if you get a lucky run every now and then that just happens to align with a new strategy you were trying.

Overall, whether you win or lose is down to your decision to play, and that's on you.

Going against the odds is always mismanagement of funds IMO, especially when you don't have the funds to risk.

1891  Economy / Gambling / Re: List Top Gmabling site on XTOPTEN.com on: June 26, 2020, 05:19:00 PM
How you select the best casino?
Can you tell me the details about listing process?

We have in mind use listing business by review and user feedback's rate, while make these feedback's effective in valuing of each business and a unique parameter in valuing customer review.

To get started, we ask business owners to support us.

And by 'support us' you mean you take money from them? If these business owners support you that way then you would be biased as your site and the ranking it'd provide would be no different from a paid promotion. Under such circumstances, do you think anyone would take you seriously?

If by chance I understood you wrong, let me know. Being more transparent about your business model, revenue sources and rating processes would only help get you more trustworthiness in this community.

In general, any site that takes payment to place certain companies higher up a ratings list without showing a clear sponsored symbol is suspect IMO.

Ferrari did some tests in Italy at the circuit of Mugello!
The circuit is in the list of possible candidates for a Gp late this year if more GPs will be deleted.

Vettel said ""Mugello deserves a F1 Race"", he seems to like a lot the circuit.

Source https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autodromo_internazionale_del_Mugello

Seems like you were correct. At least according to a report by James Gilboy: https://www.thedrive.com/accelerator/34375/mugello-circuit-will-host-ferraris-1000th-formula-1-grand-prix-report

The event will be hosted in September only a week after the Italian Grand Prix in Monza. And that is the only sore point for me. I wonder if there will even be enough interest in such events like this running back to back under the current global conditions... Would people even watch? On the other hand, I can pretty much sense the palpable excitement of the racers! This season would have nine races in just 11 opening weeks.

That's something for sure. Pretty sure that people will lose interest halfway through though, except the most avid fans.
1893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has someone invested in GBY (Gold Bitpay)? on: June 26, 2020, 10:40:35 AM
Please stay away from such low quality projects. You will most certainly lose money. Even if there are no scam claims right now, in the future as more and more people begin to surface with complaints about GBY, you will see that I am right. I have known at least one person who has invested in GBY indirectly and is regretting that decision. I am not that close to him so I cannot speculate into the nature of his involvement neither can I ask him about it.

Regardless, as it is pointed out that their content is plagiarised, I am certain that it would be enough evidence for you to stay away from a project that cannot even afford or care enough to create original reading material for its initial investors. The rest is up to you, but in general, stay away from any project that sounds too good to be true.
1894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deflationary Tokens on: June 26, 2020, 09:43:34 AM

I am well aware of coins with controlled inflation like BTC, where a finite number of coins will be generated at a controlled rate. Very recently I came across deflationary tokens where coins are destroyed whenever a transaction is made and they will end at some time.

My question is what is the purpose of creating such coins? Are they worthy enough to be invested ?

I think this is an option for those who create coins with high supplay, so they cannot control the circulation of coins properly due to the high amount. And make prices worse. If they reduce the number of coins, this will improve the price of the coin for the better. As long as they are still developing the system in any way, the coins are worth investing.

I think you are overlooking the fact that it does not matter what your deflation rate is, if your coin is worth nothing, then no matter what you burn or deflate from it, it would stay worth nothing. You'd just be piggybacking on the investments made by early investors and artificially boosting the prices, which would not mean anything. It beats the purpose of having a "cryptocurrency" in the first place. This is a very subversive tactic used by corporates, and unfortunately most of us crypto lovers cannot wrap our heads around the subject and celebrate and crave deflationary tokens and coins without even understanding the repercussions.

These tokens are mostly just ticking time bombs that will explode in the face of noob investors eventually.
1895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker talk - Specifically Hold'em - Hands and or strategy on: June 26, 2020, 07:28:08 AM
It's a good strategy, in my opinion, but unfortunately sometimes I don't have the strength to use it. Often I start worrying when I have less than 10 BB, start playing more aggressively, and in the vast majority of cases it ends badly. Even though I remember how I leddered really good multiple times just because I was patient and keeping calm, I fail at it sometimes.

Do not worry or blame yourself. Playing more aggressively with a weak hand is a common trait in most sports. I don't know if Poker can be considered as a sport or not, but it's my personal opinion that it should be considered a single player sport.

As long as you are paying attention to the player's position as in the orders in which they play, you have a chance against any odds, it's like you said, have patience. Don't be afraid to bluff when you are in position, but be ready to fold and take a loss if you believe they actually have it.
1896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in crypto ratings? on: June 26, 2020, 12:28:58 AM
At this point most crypto rating sites have become a honeypot for attracting novice crypto traders. They are mostly manipulative and useless.

They describe the result instead of the causes for a certain event or trend. I think most of us can see through that bullshit.

But there are still some rating sites that push out pure data and do not try to manipulate public views about any of the results through opinions and whatever. Cryptodiffer is one such site, I have also seen them publish charts and figures in various official Telegram groups. Other than that I trust Weisscrypto, I think they are on the top of google search results as well. And they push out unbiased stuff as well.
1897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: June 25, 2020, 10:53:49 PM
Joe Biden is a solid guy. He's always seen as the Obama sidekick, I remember seeing them youtube videos about their quirkiness.

It would certainly elevate USA in my eyes once agains as a land where people are welcome with a warm smile rather than a racist snarl.

i want to bet on trump when the odds are deeply against him,

Does it matter if the odds are against him? I think he already said he does not want to be involved in politics anymore. Correct me if I say wrong... might have seen some fake news on the situation.
1898  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Crypto.Games ⭐ 0.8% House Edge on Dice ⭐ Largest wagering contest...ever ⭐ on: June 25, 2020, 09:01:07 PM
i know. i'm just a bit jealous tbh. for me, this would be all losses. not much luck in gambling, so i try to avoidnit as much as possible

You win some, you lose some.

Some people are able to turn the odds to their favor and generate a bunch of impressive wins in a row. Others aren't so lucky.

Crypto.games has one of the lowest house edges in the industry, so if a big win streak is ever going to happen the odds are highest here.
1899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: so what to do with USDT ?! on: June 25, 2020, 08:23:00 PM
I personally invest my stablecoins on platforms like Nexo, Binance lending products, and margin lending.

On average these generate an APR of between 6-15% per year, but they can be considered relatively safe ways to turn a profit—assuming these platforms can avoid being hacked for the duration of the investment.

https://interest.coinmarketcap.com/

The above link has a few examples of places that offer a return on stablecoins. Be sure to do your own due diligence though.
1900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can a corrupt team cook a blockchain? on: June 25, 2020, 07:47:03 PM
Most blockchains can be freely audited and you can often run your own node to check whether everybody is playing fair.

If you share the name of the project, one of us can look into its code to see if there's anything that's purposely blocking you from getting stakes.

Most of the time the odds of discovering a block are random, so there's a chance you might just be getting horribly unlucky. Over time it should average out though.
