1881  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does anyone think it will be much harder to buy bitcoin later on down the road? on: September 18, 2022, 08:21:27 PM
I don't see any reason it will become harder to buy Bitcoin especially when Bitcoin price is really high, I'd think it will be more easier to buy Bitcoin because everyone want to buy Bitcoin and they will prefer to an exchanges with smooth or few steps only rather than the complicated one.

I think it will harder to buy Bitcoin when the government strengthen their rules, especially when they completely ban Bitcoin. So your choice is only to buy Bitcoin via DEX and using mixer to increase your privacy.
That might be the future case for bitcoin as the government is still determine not to accept bitcoin even if it’s already legal. When that time comes, though adoption in some certain places will be visible, but as long as centralized exchanges operate in accordance with the law of the government, then buying bitcoin regardless of its price might also be compromised.
1882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN WAS YOUR WORST MOMENT AND CHALLENGE WITH BITCOIN ? on: September 17, 2022, 11:21:08 PM
I believe everyone here onboard this platform once had a very  though and challenging moment with bitcoin at the initial start. At first it seems unrealistic then looks like a scam but at last it was a real deal. sharing our experiences and worst moment might just help others build on and also bring us back to the very first beginning of our journey into bitcoin then. This would also help us evaluate how far we have gone and also creates room for more on-boarding of more adopters. Sharing our experiences on how we started would also encourage more to be steadfast  in the system. This would go a long way in helping others at the verge of giving up on bitcoin.

How was your worst moment and experience like and how were you able to handle it then ?
I always see bitcoin as a challenge everyday. But remembering having a worst moment in it, I can say I don’t have any because I came into the market well prepared and knowledgeable about bitcoin. When bitcoin price drops badly, I understand that it’s only a part of its volatility and eventually it will always recover and start surging its price again. I guess being patient is already my best virtue and that helps me so much not to panic every time bitcoin is very unstable.
1883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: September 16, 2022, 07:06:44 PM
I’m not reading the opinion of analyst here but I thought Jake will be the underdog on this fight?
Yeah Jake Paul is an underdog in this fight, I think it's good since I see Paul has higher chance to win against Silva, so I definitely bet hit without any hesitant. Silva career is over since he's already old, similar like Mike Tyson where he accept anything if he's offered with money. I expect Paul will win via KO on the late round when Silva run out of his stamina, so he either survive and slowing down or being aggressive and tired.

Yes, betting on Jake Paul is much more profitable as he is considered as underdog by the bookies while Silva is a heavy favorite. People might be confused because they probably know more about Silva than Jake Paul who is still struggling to be a full pledge boxer in the eyes of the people, but Jake is likely going to be the winner here and might defeat the former MMA fighter by a way of knockout especially when the fight drags on while Silva is grasping for air.
1884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 16, 2022, 06:29:50 PM
I do hope that after the lawsuit has been thrown out of the window (as it should be), the so-called partner who brought the whole thing into being gets counter sued for defamation. Because this definitely will have a bad effect on Stake.com and they definitely will lose a considerable amount of users. Especially because, as already mentioned by you, the plaintiff is a former partner and by making such claims, he is, from my non-lawyer perspective, very probably engaging in libel/slander.

And honestly, I do not think I would let that go, if it were my company.
I really think that this is inevitable, if this was something that they spoke about in private or just among their lawyers then I do not think there will be too much of a case to sue him for those accusations.

But since he went public and he made a lot of noise about it probably knowing that his accusations were not true then I think there is enough for stake to go against him, maybe the lawsuit could be dropped as well but I think it is on their best interest that they take a strong stance against things like this so this doesn't happen again.

The plaintiff already made a big mistake ever since he made a lawsuit against the Stake.com, he didn't think well about what would happen to him because there is no solid evidence in his accusations against the said company. As you said, he could've talked the owners privately in front of their own respective lawyers to settle the issue. But no, if directly made a lawsuit that will just gonna be dropped anytime soon because the claims aren't enough plus that amount stated was a bit over exaggerated.
1885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 16, 2022, 12:40:35 PM
^ how can one could not see the difference of the two by just looking at the odds. Shakur def has the edge of Rob.

Rob is sure gonna be robbed. isn't this irresponsible for wbo and wbc to match robson who lost against valdez and then match to someone who beats valdez?  shakur could fight a p4p and win by KO. robson is not ranked on p4p list.

Robson is ranked number 2 by WBC and WBO, so I don't think it's irresponsible for them to match the champion of their belt at this weight division, against their second best.

And if you have watch the fight between Robson Conceicao vs Oscar Valdez, it was very close, others might have scored it on favor of Robson. But the rest is history, Shakur defeated Valdez and the he is trying to clean up both divisions by fighting the second best rank boxer.

Yup, there are indeed some people who are saying that Robson might have won that fight and base on the judge's score, the gap wasn't far enough to say that Valdez has won dominantly. Although, I've read too that people aren't happy why they are letting Robson face Shakur when in fact Robson lost to Valdez already.

Anyway, this is the best chance for Shakur to prove again why he won against Valdez while Robson struggled to do so. As said above, Shakur is having a clean up program.
1886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 15, 2022, 08:59:30 PM

And who knows, he might stay with the Lakers for the rest of the reason. So still he needed a house around Los Angeles.

That's up to the Lakers management, Westbook can choose to stay but what if the Lakers will think of trading him? I think the news about him selling his house is just pure business, it's not connected to him leaving LA soon.

Per se maybe this is the end of his career no one wants him anymore for me Russell Westbrook should not play like Russell Westbrook, I think he needs to make a transition in his plays he doesn't need to be like his old self if he wants to stay on the NBA for another season like Carmelo Anthony done, he transition himself to be defensive and at the same time an effective scorer if need, but he is not taking the spotlight to the superstar that can score more than he can,

Well, good thing is that he still have 1 more chance left before his card will burn, that 1 bad season he had is already enough for him to believe that he is not the main alpha in the team anymore and he needed to adapt as a supporting role because that's what the Lakers wanted from him.

He needs to duplicate what Carmelo did if he still wanted to play in the NBA because sooner or later, he will retire too just like the other players in the free agency.
1887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 15, 2022, 08:32:30 PM

Yes, we should just accept the fact that Manny Pacquiao was already done doing professional fights in boxing industry and those heart racing fights he did when he still at the top of his prime will be just in our memories. That is the reality because there will always be a new boxers that will replace the elites.

About his upcoming fight, I'm confused whom he will be facing because there's a news surfacing on the internet.

Manny Pacquiao eyes boxing return with Saudi exhibition fight
https://sports.inquirer.net/476130/manny-pacquiao-eyes-boxing-return-with-saudi-exhibition-fight

That is great news, for me Pacquiao has not yet burned his last cartridges, I think he is a boxer who can give much more, both for himself and for the fans, I know he has had some painful episodes but he can get ahead, Honestly, I don't think that age has much of an impact on boxing, that is, it's not analogous to a footballer who, when he is over 37 years old, is already considered a veteran that nobody wants despite being very good, an older boxer has enough experience and can show a lot of dominance and teach novice boxers, this is something that can be seen today, some do not bet on older boxers because of this problem, but many times they are surprised.

I have no doubt as well that Pacquiao can still dance gracefully in the ring against any other veteran boxer out there, I mean, if your passion is boxing then I believe that no one can stop you from getting into fights especially if there's huge money in line just waiting to be unlocked.

It looks like the fight against the martial art YouTuber DK Yoo would be disadvantageous for Manny in terms of body mass since there is no weight limit in this exhibition match.

Also, fighting DK Yoo might not give them their projected revenue that's why there's another opponent surfacing now that Pacman will fight in Saudi Arabia.
1888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is scarcer than gold. on: September 15, 2022, 08:05:30 PM

Experts are already predicting BTC will reach $1m, so I'd suggest anyone to "hodl" strong whenever possible. As long as you don't invest more than what you can't afford to lose, there should be nothing to worry about. Just my thoughts Grin

Experts have been predicting that ever since bitcoin went to $1000 for the first time. One way that could happen though is if the us government printed so much money that the us dollar because worthless. Then bitcoin would be worth $1m usd but it probably couldn't buy you a car.

Now with that said, bitcoin could of course go to $1m without hyperinflation but we have had alot of inflation lately. lately meaning the last 2 or 3 years. in the usa. so the usd is becoming more worthless due to government printing more and more of it and it being backed by nothing.

Exactly the reason why holding fiats is not that practical and reliable anymore especially these times that there's a lot of inflation happened lately, the US cannot deny anymore that their fiat is becoming more and more useless, and printing more of it will just make the situation worse.

Also, we cannot really rely on those experts saying that bitcoin is expected to climb to the price of $xxx, xxx soon because their predictions are not on point and that's already proven. But it's still worth noting that holding bitcoin is much more practical than holding fiat alone and bitcoins can be used as a defense against inflation. Thanks again, Satoshi!
1889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bonus Abuse: Who is to Blame? on: September 15, 2022, 07:33:21 PM
The casino is in the right position to control and regulate whatever goes on on the site, and if ther are any abuses of the bonus system, then the casino is in the right position to bring things to others. We had hard one of two cases of site bonus abuse in the past and the resultant effect on the casino was massive to the point that some of them run into a lot of troubles from such abuse.
When abuse happens then it would really be giving out significant effects on a casino not only on financial aspect but also into its reputation which would really be also be affected on these kind of incident.

No one else would be blamed but the casino on why they hadnt really checked out those security measures for them to avoid such incident. There's always those people who would really be taking advantage

whenever they do see opportunities which they could really make abuse actions if ever they do see one thats why it do always falls down on casinos security on the first place.

The effect won't be felt by the casino on the spot and in the process, there will be always some sort of people who will take advantage of it and abuse the system while the casino and the team behind it didn't know. Sooner or later, the casino's finance team will start asking questions why they are losing huge when in fact their system is programmed in casino's favor.

By the time the finance team spots the puzzle, it will be too late because they have already lost and it will be much better to hire another team that is more competent that the previous team.
1890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 14, 2022, 07:10:40 PM
Anyways, I don't think the former partner has a high chance on winning his case but still wanted to proceed with it to gain money against Stake.

Same here.  Other than the claim of the complainant, there is no written document that will prove that what the complainant saying is true.  Aside from that, it is all like his words against the stake owner's word.

There is still a change the jury or the judge gets convinced a monetary compensation does have place within the lawsuit, 400 million is completely out of proportion in my opinion, if the former partner ends up winning this lawsuit the final amount would end up being smaller.

I dont see major reasons to panic over this lawsuit, Stake likely have very good lawyers and enough money to pay and solve this all mess without going out of business.

If anyone feels uncomfortable with all this, simply keep enough funds on stake to gamble and move the rest of it to your wallet.

Yes, it's much better to move those funds in much safer place because we really don't know how would this lawsuit ends and only leave some small funds that you can afford to lose. However, as said facts above, we can somehow say and expect that Stake.com will likely win the case against their former partner. I'm quite curious though how would this lawsuit ends.
1891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 14, 2022, 06:26:43 PM
As per Shakur, we might see him moving up to 135 lbs sooner than expected because he admitted that his body has difficulty making the 130 lbs limit.

Quote
“It all depends on the weight cut at the end of the day,” said Stevenson during an interview with Thaboxingvoice. “I done (did) amazing things at 130-pounds already. My last two fights to be specific, I done put on shows and I done did a lot at the weight, so if I struggle with the weight cut and it be hard on me, I think I’m going up to 135. Tell them boys get ready.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/shakur-stevenson-move-up-135-sooner-expected-tell-them-boys-get-ready--168907

And we all know that his target is Tank Davis. So if ever he wins and if he think that he is going to struggle to make the weight cut again, he will definitely go up. And then the 135 lbs will continue to be one of the most stock up weight classes.

I'm not sure what he is obsessed with Tank though, maybe it's there contrasting style and that he wanted to see how he will fare against a good power puncher and his defense trying to elude that one punch that will change the course of the fight.

And it's obvious that struggling to make weight, he should go to 135. But I'm not seeing him directly going up against the champion. Arum will have to set him up against perennial contender but not enough to pull an upset when he goes up.

It's his confidence I guess, Shakur is coming up in the last couple of years while Tank has established his name already. And Shakur beat 2 champions in Herring and Oscar Valdez and that is enough for him to boost his confidence and thinks that he can beat anyone including Davis. But negotiations might not be enough as Tank is on the side of Floyd and we all know that Arum and Floyd has a bitter divorce, so not sure if this fight can be made in the future. And I'm also not sure though if Davis has sign a new contract with Floyd's promotional company or not.

Not only that, but it's the only fight that make sense for him, as there will be money, huge money to be made by both fighters. So he is particularly zone in with Davis, and maybe just like what Ryan says, if the beat Davis, maybe they will get the respect that they needed. So all roads at 135 lbs money wise is Davis, but all the belts belong to Haney. So it's really up to him on which path he wanted, but it looks like Davis is his hit list for money and respect, it's just a matter on how he can demand Top Rank to give him that fight.

There are a lot of options for him to be honest, it's that his main goal is Davis.

He can wait for the Haney vs Kambosos fight or Loma. But he always insists on fight Davis right away when he moves up. Good test for him maybe the likes of Isaac Cruz or Rolly Romero to do if his defense will be effective to this big puncher at 135 lbs otherwise he might face a big knock out loss in the hands of Davis. Definitely there is money, but it might hurt him a bit at this new weight if he goes right away on Tank.

It's not very clever if he rushes things just to get his much-awaited fight against Gervonta Davis, seriously that could wait. If he won't hold his horses then it's safe to assume that he is bound to get his first defeat if he goes straight to Davis when he starts to climb in the lightweight division.

Yes, fighting Davis is indeed money that's why there have been a lot of boxers who wanted to fight him because of that fact but career-wise, Shakur should test the water first for his debut and it's much clever if he goes for Ryan Garcia first because that will surely hype his name if he can successfully defeat Garcia.

Well said, but as of now, it is not clear yet that Shakur is indeed having some troubles keeping his weight inside 130 lbs. and we will know soon if that news is true in their upcoming weight in as we will likely have the information we are trying to find regarding that issue.

It's much better if he can maintain his weight until we can witness an undisputed fight in super-featherweight before he moves in lightweight division.
1892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 14, 2022, 05:52:07 PM
It's good that after Pacquiao loses the fight, he realized what thing he needs to focus on and he did that, which is focusing on his election campaign.
He's doing a lot of things and he can't just do all of those at the same time. As said, I thought that he'll be having another match after the election that he's part of.

But, I'm not expecting him to be the same with his past matches, yes he aged but there's still the power and speed that he's got.

Still, not that the same anymore where most of us were amazed back then.

Manny is no longer in his prime, what we have is just memories of those run when he was in top of the game for many years. No one can escape Father time not even the great and elite fighters. At least when he lost to Ugas, he knows when to stop and focus on other matters like the PH Presidential election in which he lost badly. And then the news of his return thru exhibition match against a South korean if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, we should just accept the fact that Manny Pacquiao was already done doing professional fights in boxing industry and those heart racing fights he did when he still at the top of his prime will be just in our memories. That is the reality because there will always be a new boxers that will replace the elites.

1893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 14, 2022, 04:45:12 PM
Conclusion, their roster should be well-balanced and composed of veterans and young players.
I agree and not just for the Lakers but also for the other teams. Some teams got 1 superstar and then no helper inside the court and all reliant to it.
In the end, that superstar looks like he's hardly playing with his teammates because there's no balance in the team. I like the idea of well being balanced and composed with young players, superstars, and veterans. It is a good team composed of energetic, athleticism, experience and wisdom in all aspects, ball handling, shooting, under the ring and crucial times.

I definitely agree! That's what the Lakers need and some other teams in the league too, having a couple of veteran players in the roster is not a bad idea at all because they can still produce some nice production for the team or give the team an extra defense, lastly, these veterans will be highly needed to lift up the team's morale so that the young players will work together with their superstars.
1894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which meme coin is your favourite on: September 14, 2022, 04:10:05 PM
For now, I hold about 10 memes of coins, and of course the mainstay is Shiba, I have got a big profit from meme koins, the thing that I like from meme koins is to be able to buy cheaply and greater profit opportunities.
I don't have much faith in meme coins. As we know all these coins can only grow a little on hype. I don't want to put any trust in Doge Coin or Shib Coin at this time. I think that Baby Doge has a good chance to make it to the next hype. This coin is already listed on Pancake Swap BKX OKX and Getio. Currently, this coin is regarded as the most potential meme coin.

Same here! Between the two meme coin, I would also choose Baby Doge as it is likely the one who will be more profitable than Shiba Inu but regarding with the OP's question, none of the two said meme coin is good for long-term holding. It's a meme coin and it will be never good for long term because it's hype are mostly controlled by crypto whales and it will be real hard to ride that hype in order to reap profits, other than that, this coins won't likely grow because it doesn't have any utility.
1895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too good to be true? on: September 12, 2022, 09:18:07 PM
Is it possible to invest 100$ in altcoin and turn to 7,000$? Have this ever happened to anyone on here? Is this even possible?.
It’s possible for some who never think of crypto investment as quick profits. But for those who are eager to make profits, this is too good to be true. It takes a couple of years before your investment surges like this, and of course you should have the right investments at first so you can expect huge profits in time. Otherwise, if you only invest in altcoins with no potentials, then it’s value will definitely lost in time.
1896  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto business isn't for everyone on: September 12, 2022, 08:57:21 PM
The idea of having a crypto business makes people think that they can easily make money out of this and then become rich instantly. But unfortunately, it was not the thing we were likely to experience, perhaps managing a business like this is pretty hard and even more risky than other forms of investment.

crypto investment welcomes everyone who would like to try but guess what, only a few have survived and become successful while many suffer regrets and losses. If we really have the motivation and courage, that was not impossible to succeed.
True. It takes a lot of hardwork, motivation and persistency to end up being successful in an investment. Funds alone are not enough, the investor should also have the right attitude towards investments. It’s not about pure profits the whole time, but you should also learn to deal with inevitable losses and learn from all of them.
1897  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin will always remain the best choice on: September 12, 2022, 08:32:55 PM
The diagram below gives a short and precise distinctive difference between BTC, Gold and Fiat.

with the above explanation it is clear why btc is better and the best choice over the rest. If you are still in doubt it is too bad because you are clearly missing out.
But if you can have all of them, that will be a lot more profitable as you will gain multi sources of income. When one fails, the other asset will certainly works. Though bitcoin is still the best choice, but seeing how volatile and unpredictable it is, one should always be practical and should also have good amount of assets in their portfolio. That way, you will never run out of profits.
1898  Economy / Speculation / Re: Purchased at $23,500, when should I start to panic? When should I average down? on: September 12, 2022, 07:53:16 PM
I think I made a mistake buying at $23,500 (obviously), so when should I really start to panic now that we dropped to $18K?

At what price point now should I consider to add more to average in at? Like, if you owned a bitcoin at $23,500, would you wait for $10K or 15K to start adding more to average in your high price of $23,500?
There's no need to panic when the price goes down because it's only temporary and the price will go back up. Now you can start smiling because the price has increased to $21k even though it hasn't hit $23,500 or higher. It will get back to that price and higher.

If I bought bitcoins for $23,500 and the price dropped drastically to $10k or $15k now, I wouldn't panic and would use this moment to buy more bitcoins because it was a golden opportunity for me. I'm sure the price will increase and I will get another pump.
Expect that bitcoin price will never stay up the whole time. It will always have its own lows some time, but this is not enough reason to panic as no matter how the price drops, it will always recover and comes up surging again. All you need to do is be more patient, that way you will never have to be bothered by price fall backs as you never intend to sell at a loss.
1899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin changed my life on: September 12, 2022, 07:34:28 PM
Don't quit your job to invest in bitcoin, it is a very unwise option to take, investing in bitcoin is not a business, neither is it time consuming, so you can keep your other sources of income or your jobs in real life and still comfortably invest in bitcoin.
2) Opportunity: Try to embrace genuine opportunity that will change your life in future, like what I did to eliminated poverty in my family by embraced Bitcoin investment to quit my delivery job that changed me in the society.
If you say it worked for you, then fine and good for you, but advising people to quit their job and invest in bitcoin is not something i will do, bitcoin is not a quick money scheme, it takes a long time for profits to come, if i quit my job to invest in bitcoin, i would have no means of survival before i take profits in the long term, it is a no-no for me, it should be a no-no for you and everyone else too.
You can actually do investing and long term hodling while working on your 8-hour day job. After all, investing in bitcoin does not take much of your time, you can actually do it in your free time. So I think quitting from your own job is still not a wise idea. However, when it comes to opportunities, people do not receive the same opportunities. You are just lucky that you got to invest in a very promising and profitable one, but just keep the patience and determination so you can be more profitable in the near future.
1900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin made you a millionaire? on: September 11, 2022, 09:51:41 PM
I am still not a millionaire but there are a lot of chances before there are a lot of tokens from bounty that almost make me a millionaire, from 2016 to this present time example is the pyr, sxdt, eth etc., many of my friend is making a big money from bounty in year 2016 to 2017 unlike today it is now really hard to find a good project to promote.
The coin OP mentioned is one of my favorite coins. I had an opportunity to buy this coin at a lower price but its supply discouraged me. After that I didn't buy that coin again. But when I saw the bull run of this coin last year I could not believe it. Current market is bearish so all the altcoins decrease. So it can be a good opportunity to buy again. And keep in mind that maybe by holding enough tokens for a long time, you too can take the chance to become a millionaire.
As long as you hold good amount of right coins for long term investment, becoming millionaire will always be possible. But never expect to become millionaire in an instant as everything is gained through hardwork and persistence. Though there are those lucky enough who invested and become millionaire in the end, but seeing a lot of scams happening in the crypto market today, then we should be at lest be mindful and cautious in all our investments.
