1881  Economy / Speculation / Will bitcoin go down below $20,000. on: July 20, 2021, 09:27:14 PM
Looks like what happened in 2018 is happening again this year, if it's the same scenario then we can expect a long bear run for the market. Bitcoin dropping below $30k creates panic, altcoins are dumping as well so what can we expect that bitcoin has already fallen below $30k now?

Will we see the same scenario in 2018 or it will be different this time?
1882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: July 20, 2021, 08:55:03 PM
The government taxes are not really hurting the rich people who can always afford to go to casinos because they have spare money for this, but for average guys like us who just want to have the experience to play on casinos it will be costly, but it will minimize average joe's going to these casinos, there are countries that are so dependent on casinos that they provide everything on that country like Macau and Las Vegas, casinos are the best cash cows of many countries because like prostitution is one of oldest profession and vice.

I think that no matter how much money you have, it is unpleasant to pay unreasonable taxes and if we are talking about rich people, they will not pay them since they have the opportunity to play anywhere in any country. Therefore, it turns out that taxes work mainly against ordinary people. This is bad especially when you consider that big wins are rare in casinos.

It starts with how the tax is computed, if in the first place the taxes are already unreasonable, then, we can assume that this is anti-poor taxes, which means taxes are implemented to discourage the poor or may people with regular jobs to gambling as they'll pay high taxes which would only make them lose more money. There are a lot of countries that do not implement taxes on gamblers, but despite that, there are still a lot of losers and casinos are operating profitably.
1883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Million dollar win on $15 parlay whoa on: July 19, 2021, 09:26:40 PM
Crazy story! To be honest, I know that many bookmakers have the maximum winnings that a player can get by making a multi bet, and I was very surprised when I read the news that the bettor hit the jackpot with 96,000 + odds placing a $ 15 bet and won 1.3 million.
As I understood from the article, this bettor wished to remain anonymous, sad, I would have looked with interest at his further behavior after receiving a win - whether he continued to play with crazy odds or would choose simpler games.
In a way this is completely natural, after all if I was the person that won such a huge bet I would like to remain anonymous since that is a huge amount of money.

However I am not going to deny that I am curious as well about what it could be the behavior of this person moving forward, if I was him I will probably retire from gambling as that is more than enough money to change my life for the better and probably never have to work ever again, especially if that money is invested in bitcoin as we know bitcoin will raise in price even further during the next decades.

I would not retire if I will, I'll continue to bet but with limitation of course, also, investing it in bitcoin although it's the most profitable investment in the crypto space, I still find it risky, instead, I would just invest in a business where I can manage and I can guarantee a stable ROI.
1884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Want Tesla To Accept Doge? on: July 19, 2021, 09:13:10 PM
No, it would be a rediculous move for a prominent company to make.  Doge is devaluing by the minute and for a coin with a 10,000 coin block reward every minute for infinity it will only go lower.  Tesla would immediately swap doge for either bitcoin or fiat so every doge sale would end up a missive dump on the market.  It wouldn't be good for Tesla or Pete who hold doge.

Eventually, DOGE will be forgotten as Elon will promote his own coin, for his best interest, he would not associate DOGE to his project or business as that will ruin its reputation, we all know that DOGE is just full of hype that's why it reaches this price but some people are still refusing to open their eyes.
1885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 16, 2021, 09:09:03 PM
^^ I doubt that it will break into the top 5 much less in the top 10.

Probably around 400-600 thousand buys might be a good estimates at a stretch. Pre-pandemic, it might broke 1 million, and so far I haven't seen any reports of fight in 2021 that generated over 500k, Canelo Alvarez, the current cash cow, have sold 300k vs Smith.
They still have one month and days to sell this fight, I guess the PPV will be high and probably higher than Alvarez vs Smith as these two are champions and we know they are popular boxers especially Manny who is a legend. If they can at least sell 1 million PPV, that would be a huge income already for the two and Manny will not regret taking only the $5 million purse on this fight.

Even the live gate tickets is not yet sold out.

Where to monitor the status of this one?
1886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 16, 2021, 08:49:43 PM

What Suns need is a good ball movement, their defense is just alright but if they can't move the ball well, they'll have a problem with their offense.
Look at game 4, Booker did everything to win but they still fall short because they were not getting good contribution from his teammates.

If Suns will get at least double-digit scores from Bridges, Paul, and Crowder, I think they'll increase their chance.

Just like how Bucks lose their 2 early games, Giannis is doing everything but his teammates didn't jive well and produce good numbers for the team, Booker tried to carry Suns in game 4 but like what you observed there's none from his teammates to back him up.

This coming game 5, Suns needs to bring back the teamworks that send them to this finals, they need to work together to win the game.

Double digits from their first line and also let Ayton to contribute not only for his rebounds but also with his offense.

I guess we won't be able to see the same scenario that happened in game 1 and 2 because the Bucks had already adjusted. I have a feeling that it will be a close game and though I still believe the Suns will win but I will not be surprised if the Bucks will be victorious this time. CP3 is now on the verge of his career again that he would feel the championship will slip into him, so it's a very exciting game.
1887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you gambling to make money or just for fun? on: July 16, 2021, 04:04:51 PM
Most people would gamble for fun if they don't want to lose a lot of money. I would say, no... why would you bother yourself to gamble if you don't aim to make money? I mean that's where the ultimate fun is because winning is the biggest achievement as a gambler.

The saying that is gamble for fun only maybe means don't gamble seriously so you can move on easily.
1888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sexy casinos on: July 16, 2021, 03:48:35 PM
What do you think of sexy casinos? Do you think it's a good thing? Have you ever tried any? What is your favorite one?

If you are a horny person I don't think you can concentrate on playing and winning the game if you have sexy dealers in front of you, I prefer dealers with formal attire and I prefer men than a women I like to concentrate on my cards in this place I've on a casino to win games and make money not to look on sexy girls there's a time and place for this.

Some people go to these casino only for the girls. Playing gambling is secondary thing for them. Its the personal preference, what you are interested in. For those who want some horny enjoyment along with gambling, then you should defiantly go in such casino's.

Then most likely they will just lose money because their main priority is girls, not winning in gambling. I would say our chance to win in this kind of gambling platform is very "small", just consider you lose your money the moment you decide to go to this place.
1889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: July 16, 2021, 02:10:23 PM
Whom the government will tax? is it the operators only or including the gamblers?
For big countries, I think taxes is on operators and the gamblers, though it looks complicated but the government would always want to benefit on the winners. With the proper tax guidelines, accounting would be easy and you can ask your accountant to compute your tax liability.
Maybe because big countries are more strict in implementing their taxes and they have a good tax program that would really help their country to grow. Gambling is a lucrative business, so it deserves high taxes, and they can really force the operators to pay due to their serious penalty for violators.

If they'll include the gamblers, then I guess people will not choose to gamble on a regulated platform, the revenue will decrease and the government will collect fewer taxes. However, there's no assurance that these people will stop gambling, they'll just find another alternative to gamble and that's for sure an illegal casino.
I don't know because it works in big countries, so I don't think it will not work with other countries.

We never know, in rich countries, it's easy for people to gamble as they are not in poverty, but in poor countries where poverty is high, gambling should be a problem as some people is not educated and they are not aware of their chances and even the risk.
1890  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: July 16, 2021, 01:27:27 PM
My country is a poverty line country.. most of the people here living from hands to mounth. But my country situations very much bad affecting corona pandemic. We worstly affected by COVID-19 and today we all passing days with lockdown and and shout down. ...

May you tell us from where you come from or what your country is? The corona crisis affected many countries very differently. Some industrialized nations have almost recovered and hardly had a slump, while many less developed countries are in a severe economic crisis and have seen some horrendous inflation rates.
That is why it would be interesting to know which country you are talking about.

Small countries will likely struggle more as they are the less priority especially if they don't have a lot of allies, I pity them but that's just how the world works now. When their government tells them to stay at home, they have to choose the poison because if they'll do, they will die without food, so they better go out to find food and take the risk of getting infected, besides, though there are people dying only a small percentage died because of covid-19.

Singapore does not take covid-19 seriously as most people think.

1891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to $10K? on: July 16, 2021, 01:00:35 PM
That is definitely on the cards and right now the crypto markets aren't in a bullish mode to keep our dreams alive.... And I think the reasons that led to the crash are the same reasons that will make it become bullish, we need our miners back and we also need clear and environmentally friendly ways of mining to win support from all stake holders which will bring in more investments.

We need to accept the situation and take advantage of it, the price may go down due to panic but eventually, we will see another bull run again. It may not happen this year, or next year but surely the bull run will come. Let's be smart, there's only a very basic strategy that is working since before, and that is to buy or accumulate at dip and wait until the bull run will come, by the moment the bull run is here, you'll be able to sell again at a good price.
1892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Million dollar win on $15 parlay whoa on: July 16, 2021, 10:40:16 AM
The amazing of parlay and many time I try but always not lucky miss one match out my prediction, I think he was bad why publish his name on public and I see many bad thing like some one try steel his money or other something bad. Very lucky how his parlay correct and his prediction is true about all match, with parlay small fund can get much profit not with single match.

I do some quick reading on the news that was shared by OP and it seems like the name was not mentioned, the only information we have is this winner is a "London-based bettor ", but since London is a big country, it's hard to figure out who the winner is if someone tries to steal money or rob him.

1894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: July 16, 2021, 09:38:58 AM

Donaire is Known to be one of the Gentlemen of Boxing m he doesn't usually throw bad words against His opponent instead he only proves his skills and abilities inside the ring and outside the ring he is an ordinary person .
things that different from others .

Maybe that's the reason why he cancelled the fight, he is so sensitive, he doesn't want to receive some trash talk from his Filipino rival. That's so unprofessional IMO, he should punish Casimero in the ring, not cancel the fight, I'm sure fans are disappointed with his action.
Yes, mostly boxing fans are disappointment to see him cancelling the fight with Casimero. But we have move on, Casimero vs Rigo next and then Inoue vs Donaire.
Absolutely, move one but don't forget as there's still a chance that both fighters will collide in the future if these two filipino will reign in the bantam weight division.

@yazher - for me it's a good sign that Filipinos are fighting fellow Pinoys, it means that we are dominating that weight class, or at least the lower class, similar to Mexicans.

It was supposed to be the first time to see a Filipino vs Filipino champion in a specific weight class, which would be in the history of boxing for the Filipinos.
1895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: July 15, 2021, 09:45:49 PM

Sure. Yes, many companies and industries benefit from this situation, but if I could choose which assets to sit in before the start of the pandemic, then it would undoubtedly be shares of delivery companies and similar businesses, but not online casinos because the greatest growth has occurred not in online gambling at all.

No doubt about that literally since going out are limited surely deliveries are the one who benefited a lot with this situation, the fact that restrictions limits people from going out right?

But moving back to the topic, it's also undeniable that more and more gamblers find online gambling is the best alternatives to please their needs of playing.

And now, that the restrictions are already been lifted from some places, online gambling already got regular customers who find
comfort playing inside their house.

They would stay gambling online especially those sports bettors, they can watch the game in the arena while placing their bet online, that's the ideal thing to do, and with that, it will help the online gambling platform to improve. I guess we should also talk on the popularity of online crypto gambling as I'm pretty sure they also benefited big in this pandemic.

betja odds

but for some reasons, betja is not accepting the bet. pretty attractive odds for pacquiao here

Very nice odds for Manny Pacquiao, I will definitely take if they'll accept it.

I don't understand why they don't accept the bet if they display the odds? Maybe they just have to disable it so people will not expect it.
My first time to visit this site, are they are reputable site?

The reputation of that betting site is very questionable, the odds are just a display for nothing if they will not accept a bet, and I think no gambling site would have different odds only to be abuse by the bettors. So, I would say it's just a strategy to let people visit the site and confuse them.
1897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 15, 2021, 01:54:20 PM
I think Ayton with 17 rebounds did his job on the glass, but he’s gotta do better shooting from the field than that. No excuse for only scoring 6 points. He puts up his usual % from the field and it’s a tie game. The Suns have ridden DeAndre hard all playoffs and I think they need to go to him and let him punish Giannis down low if they want to win. Next game this Saturday. It will determine who has their back against the wall…
It's like they forgot about the alley-oop plays for him. When he stretches those arms, who knows who could reach it but I am sure someone will commit a foul. It was CP3 who always made plays for him but I never saw that anymore, most of the time he turn the ball over (4 today) and being careless when scrambling the painted area.
Perhaps they should try a post-up game now. Bucks already knew it will just be Booker and CP3 as the center of their offense. Time to adjust a new strategy for Coach Monty.

Probably because Chris Paul is also check too by Jrue Holiday. Jrue made a lot of adjustments guarding Chris Paul, he meet him early and pressure him before the mid line and this makes Paul alley hoop somewhat not working anymore as he is contested even with his jump shot. And the thing with Bucks is that they have big men that clogged the middle, with Lopez and Giannis playing at the same time. You can only draw either of the two, so if Ayton draw Lopez out, there's no one to make an alley hoop. And yes, last 2 games, Chris Paul has committed a lot of turnovers, again this is due to the fact of Bucks cutting him at every corners and angles.

Suns are less effective if CP3 is limited, I like what the Bucks are doing, they showed how good they are defensively, and though the odds for winning the championship still favors the Suns, I think the momentum is already on the Bucks and they could win this series without a doubt.

Before game 4, it was CP3 who is the favorite to win the Finals MVP, but now the odds have changed.

The updated odds on Finals MVP are Giannis  2.10, CP3 with 2.70, and Booker 3.40.

Imagine if you bet on Giannis to be finals MVP after game 2. Yould should get a good odds.
1898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to $10K? on: July 15, 2021, 01:38:43 PM
Yes, looking at the current cryptocurrency market, it is certainly very difficult for Ethereum to reach $10k,
with current conditions, it's better if we just be realistic and I think it's much better,
What's clear is that I hope the market will recover in the near future, we'll see
selling pressure still dominate in market now , price really hard to rise alot. Too many fud in this market now , and moreover binance be new subject of this recent news. Its give huge impact to investors confidence if their trading platform banned in several countries. We hope this negative issue could overcome and we see market recovery again.
I don't see any bad news about Binance, did I miss something new?
Well, talking about being banned in other countries. It has been done a long-time ago, some countries are still hard to accept the new market technology. We can neither force them but this could not be the reason for the current dump, maybe we just accept that the market is turning back to bear again.
Perhaps, this is not new to all of us and I think we are already prepared for this thing to come. In fact, if we have more funds left in our hands, this gonna be our chance to buy more.

I don't know if there's another one, but this is what I saw when searching.

Italian finance regulator issues warning on Binance crypto exchange

Quote
Italian Companies and Exchange Commission has warned that Binance is not authorized to facilitate crypto investment services in the country

So according to this, Binance has no permit to operate and they might not be given a permit since they don't secure first.
Banning Binance would result to losing traders and investors in the country.
1899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Dogecoin overpriced? on: July 15, 2021, 01:20:14 PM
i think it is not only dogecoin that overprice, most of coins now overprice especially in Meme coin which is have no utility at all. Actually in cryptocurrency we have no standarization about price, how to set a coin could called as overprice or maybe undevalue. bitcoin , ethereum and other cryptocurrency price was settled by supply and demand in market and based on consensus in market.
A coin's value still base on its supply and demand, calling dogecoin as under value is unreasonable as if we look at its movement now it climbs up to 6000% and that is because its demand on the market is higher and even it is manipulated or not i still believed that dogecoin is not over valued.
It's true that the higher the demand, of course, the price of Dogecoin will rise.
the movement of dogecoin can't be compared to other coin memes,
I don't know if it's really being manipulated or not but dogecoin's achievements are very good by staying on top
Meme coins that reached the top .

I think the time has come to admit that the increase was done and this will come back to what is the price from last year.
Dogecoin has nowhere to go but down, the bear market is very strong, the price is going and soon bitcoin will struggle holding $30k.
As of this time, DOGE is only 0.189 USD, it's still high, for sure it will dump more.

Elon is probably trying to dump his holdings on poor folk, so he tweets positive stuff to manufacture buyers
Because that is the real plan from the very beginning .

Indeed, when he know how to manipulate the market, he always win in the end.
1900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRX to $1? on: July 14, 2021, 09:19:39 PM
For me, it is also very strange why TRX could not show an increase in its price in comparison with other top cryptocurrencies. You are right that Tron has fast and cheap commissions and it probably should have increased the demand for it, which means that it should have a positive effect on its price. Perhaps this will happen by the end of 2021, or perhaps the TRX price will not change. All of this is difficult to predict, since we cannot know the real plans for the development of Tron. But one thing I know for sure, you need to be on the alert and, if possible, buy TRX.
remember now there is a BSC. it's cheaper than transactions with TRC. this becomes real competition when Tron does have a lot of people already out of their market.
but I still believe TRX has the potential to go to $1, but not in the short term. this requires such a long process with the right momentum
So far, Binance Smart Chain is the cheapest transaction fee,
actually TRX is one project that is quite potential and just like you I still see the opportunity to reach $ 1 will always be there,
maybe need some good news so TRX can achieve that and hopefully TRX can grow

Time will tell, as of now, I am not expecting it will happen anytime soon because we are in the bear market, and even if there's good news, the market is always hard to react to a bearish situation. Just hold your TRX or still continue accumulating if you think it's still enough as we will see a lot of opportunities to accumulate during the bear market.
