New variants, which may or may not be more contagious and lethal may come not only from India but also from the other parts of the world unless a majority of the population is vaccinated. The choice is very difficult. If you remove the lockdown and other restrictions, then it means that the virus will spread further and there is a chance that new variants may appear. Depending on the economic condition and the infection rates, the governments need to take a decision on whether to implement the restrictions or not.

Yes. Governments are going to have to make a balance between people's health and the economy for a swift recovery towards normality. Lockdowns have been successful at containing the disease. But they're not a definite solution for eradicating COVID-19. If there's a full lockdown, there won't be any economy at all. That's why I believe the best approach towards helping tackle the pandemic is to re-open countries at a slow and steady pace.

Once the vast of the world's population is vaccinated, the economy can get right on track. Unfortunately, new variants are spreading at a fast pace. The Delta variant is the one that's most concerning because of its deadliness. If it's not contained, we'll stuck with COVID-19 forever. I hope that doesn't turn out to be the case, so we can get back to normal by 2022. Just my thoughts Grin

The global economy is a community, and the virus this time can be said to have swept the world. No economy is unaffected. The country's overall economy is affected, and national consumption will inevitably be affected. Now the control of national policies has slowly recovered, but it will take a while. We will definitely pass this dark time, and the country will lead us to a better state.

Of course it's not easy to get through a situation like this, especially now that Covid 19 continues to mutate,
so you could say this pandemic might not end anytime soon,
and this is also bad news, especially in some countries, a lockdown policy has been imposed again so that this will have an impact on the community's economy to decline

May you tell us from where you come from or what your country is? The corona crisis affected many countries very differently. Some industrialized nations have almost recovered and hardly had a slump, while many less developed countries are in a severe economic crisis and have seen some horrendous inflation rates.
That is why it would be interesting to know which country you are talking about.

In my country, Covid is currently experiencing a more severe development than the first wave. until finally our country became a low-middle income country, this was due to the appeal to stay at home, so that many citizens were unable to work optimally. If this situation continues, of course, the crime rate will increase

Small countries will likely struggle more as they are the less priority especially if they don't have a lot of allies, I pity them but that's just how the world works now. When their government tells them to stay at home, they have to choose the poison because if they'll do, they will die without food, so they better go out to find food and take the risk of getting infected, besides, though there are people dying only a small percentage died because of covid-19.

Singapore does not take covid-19 seriously as most people think.

Of course, this has also happened to many countries in the world because this pandemic has disrupted the global economy.
the government implemented a lockdown for the safety of many people, even though the policy was opposed by many. I'm sure you live in a place with a high risk of transmission, therefore the government there implements a lockdown.

In my country, the way to avoid spreading the pandemic there is no solution. The government apply the policy which forbid their society activity but cant guarantee their society basic needs. In the other words, this policy is same like lockdown but with no budget, another countries that implemented lockdown will give basic needs to their society but in my country is nothing. For several day later, I guess that the condition of my country will be chaos because the sick people, they treat to be happy but the health people, they make to be crazy because of starving.

The economy after covid-19-worst day by day. In my country education sector is at risk of it, and students who are all at home are getting depressed who have completed their graduation are all stuck in the home. There is no way to getting a new job because there are Ten Million people who are already jobless during the Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19). A couple of months ago when the Economy was growing then suddenly the country took the decision to lock down and now the economy and all those sectors remain close. Some of the sites are still opened for Human civilization needed like medical centers Food markets etc.

After COVID-19, the state of the economy is very bad not only in the field of education but also in the field of human work and livelihood the students have been disrupted and they are suffering due to lack of work for lockdown at the moment, more emphasis should be placed on tackling corona to preserve the existence of human civilization than to calculate economic losses. If corona can be brought under control in the next two-three months it is possible to bring the country's economy back to normal within a year or two.

In my opinion, after the Covid-19 pandemic, the economies of all countries will stabilize, but fast or slow depends on each country. Just like this pandemic has caused the country where I live to have a severe economic downturn, life is extremely difficult, if we go through this pandemic to recover everything, I think it will take a long time.

Right now there is no other choice IMO. We are dealing with a pandemic which has killed close to 10 million people (5 million as per official figures). You can't deal with it just like you deal with a localized outbreak of flu or pneumonia. I understand that a lot of people are out of work, and I have seen this in my village as well. But the logic for imposing these lockdown restrictions is that the sooner we could contain the pandemic, that much earlier the economic activity can be resumed. That said, it is the duty of the governments to provide support to the population during this lockdown period.

In my country, after COVID-19 all sectors were seriously affected, making economic growth fall to the lowest level in many years, threatening the business development and income of the workers.  hope that the storm of COVID-19 pandemic has passed and the economy will recover from the difficult period.

It will undoubtedly take a long time for everything to return to normal. Some say this is the new normal, but I refuse to accept it because I know there will always be a solution; of course, humanity will not tolerate such a scenario and will restore things to their previous state. If you consider the procedure, it will take a long time and a lot of effort to return to normalcy, to a life without covid-19, where people can go outside without masks or alcohol. However, it will be unjust to those third-world countries that are struggling with Covid-19, compared to other countries that can recover quickly. His covid-19 is a serious threat to humanity and the economies of those countries attempting to climb the mountain.

It will be a lot of years before every country will recover from this pandemic situation. It's not just all about health concern but the biggest concern by the people in the government is how to make the recovery from what it did to everyone of us.
A lot of businesses have closed and filed for bankruptcy and it's sad that they're unlikely to stop.

Yes, this situation with the epidemic played its role as a black swan and showed all the shortcomings of the modern system of medicine, economics and public administration. Bankruptcies are an integral part of the modern capitalist system, helping to cut off inefficient enterprises, but the current force majeure circumstances have done their not quite fair work and quite competitive enterprises and elements of small business have ceased their activities. All this imposes a great responsibility on the state authorities in future measures to support and stimulate economic activity after the end of the pandemic. Yes, some types of businesses have now been forced to liquidate, but they should be revived later in more favorable conditions.

I think that the economy of developed countries especially will start recovering after COVID-19 is gone and become successful on it. But I'm not sure about the rest of the countries. They may have big problems when it comes to recovery.
In my country Bangladesh still now affecting a lots of people and they don't have now any works. They spending their days with lockdown. Governments trying to recover it's economic growth but it's very hard to control over corona pandemic.

Yes, in this pandemic situation there are indeed many people who have lost their jobs,
with such conditions is certainly not easy because they have no income,
Worse still, we don't know when this pandemic can end soon
