1881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Create wealth first before the use of bitcoin on: January 04, 2023, 02:43:24 PM
For me it is not about wealth it is more about knowledge and financial management.
People could use Bitcoin or crypto whenever they want, but they should know how to handle or manage it (Risk Management).
A lot of things are involved in the decision making, knowledge of how bitcoin works and how it can be traded without buying at the wrong time - seems very simple but goes wrong at the wrong time when the quick decisions are taken.

Financial management is a more broad term where you have to keep a long term goal. It is more applicable to the mature group of people who are trading for long time and are managing different asset classes easily with good flow. Should be started from the newbie stage though.

Bitcoin will give the financial stability so to eliminate the poverty you are talking about  is to invest in bitcoin although, in this modern world, there is no typically or remote area that there is no internet service. The only thing you can say is that the internet in some rural areas are facing network issues. Which probably a slow network issue.
Elimination of poverty will no happy by just a magic bullet which you assume to be bitcoin. Poverty stems from a large number of factors which need to be worked on first before the people's lives can be improved. It is not going to happen overnight.
1882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is here to stay. on: January 03, 2023, 03:01:40 PM
Obviously crypto is here is to stay, the more you use crypto the more you realize how easy and simple it is to send someone money in the form of crypto. While many people do not accept this method of payment we are gradually going through the denial-acceptance cycle and we are working on it.

Problems like bankruptcy/hacks/scams will happen in every sector and the lack of regulation in crypto makes it all the more vulnerable to the same. But that does not mean that the older users of such a system would stop using it. Therefore its adoption will increase and soon big merchants will be forced to accept it in some way or the other.

Therefore fill up your bitcoin bags and lets all get rich!
1883  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on revenge trading? on: January 03, 2023, 02:56:11 PM
~ what is your take on revenge trading?
I am hearing the term for the first time here so I will go with my gut feeling and what I understood after reading some of the replies here, that you are referring to something like chasing losses in gambling. I would not recommend that at all.

As a trader you need to have the composed mindset and not the reckless one. If you lost money on one trade, considering it to be a spot trade, you defenitely have a chance of getting it back but it will cost time. This decision making improves with practice. If trading on anything other then Spot, then you are gambling anyway, in which case I dont have anything to say.

Quote
~ Do you think people intentionally go into revenge trading or is is just emotional?
Maybe emotional, but like I said, I am hearing it for the first time, maybe I was ignorant.

Quote
~ what will you advise someone making series of losses ?
Stop and see where you went wrong. Series of losses is not possible in Spot trading per see unless you bought shitcoins everyday. You are likely talking about leverage or margin Huh
1884  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am Bullish On Bitcoin Despite Bear market on: January 03, 2023, 02:51:52 PM
if you still doubt bitcoin then they don't know the real potential of bitcoin. Bitcoin is the main coin to choose from when the market is not as good as it is today. bitcoin is a digital asset for long-term investment and seeing the returns over a period of several years, of course it will be worth it. the current bear market is the best time to continue to collect and hold bitcoins.
It can be difficult to explain to a no-coiner showing the "stagnant at 16kUSD" charts of bitcoin in the last few days as a symbol to keep holding but we have to keep away from that cherry picker crew and consider their folly as our advantage. The potential of bitcoin comes from its support from the community and that is defenitely strong here. Therefore there must be selling pressure balancing our buying pressure at this time of the market.

Possible that we might drop back to bearish but then again it is the good chance to buy if you have cash at hand. But we all hope for the bullish market and it will come surely but maybe not immediately.

Not everyone will understand this because they may not have seen the big picture but we will continue to hold and buy back at the lower prices.
1885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do if you get a time machine now? on: January 02, 2023, 08:28:22 AM
I would not change a thing.

This is because every bad experience comes with a lesson and that lesson sticks in your head like it's made of superglue, making you careful in future decision making. That is how life has to be, you win some you lose some and then your try again.

When I look back at my past, I feel happy to have made some mistakes because now I know how to prevent them.

The point it never to feel regret about your past, embrace it and accept that it made you what you are today. If you try to make yourself Mr. Perfect via a time machine you will end up creating a disaster.
1886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free crypto possible ? Or impossible? on: January 02, 2023, 08:21:16 AM
There is no such thing as free pizza. You covet a free thing, maybe you have to pay its original value. Even if we can get free tokens, it may not be worth much. You still have to raise your vigilance and don't be deceived because of greed.
It's a free token, nobody said the token had a price on the market - this is what they don't understand. In most cases the person taking the freebie is actually being the victim of identity theft when their KYC is being asked and they innocently giving it too.

I get the fact that the prevelant bounties and airdrops brought in the concept of free money to bitcoin, but in truth it is as much costly as is working your ass off to earn fiat money. No difference there.

Be greedy and you will get fooled into paying your personal info to scammers and then there will be no going back to correct yourself.
1887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best altcoin to look out for on: January 02, 2023, 08:14:03 AM
I see these type of thread being recycled every year, the point remains same. If you are looking for profits, like everyone, you have to focus on old charts not the fact that a new calender started. If the old charts have shown good upstroke from every downstroke it means that the support it good and the coin has chances to recover from a bear run.

Every year so many new coins get launched but few actually make it, rather none actually, in my honest opinion.

The top 5 altcoins can be your target to accumulate, except the forked coins. This is generic but it works and hence it gets followed by most altcoin traders.

Don't jump into recently launched coins, watch them for a few years, then buy it.
1888  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I earn from cryptocurrency as a starter? on: January 02, 2023, 08:05:51 AM
As a starter, If you have learned or understood the basics and concepts behind  the use, investment and trade aspects of cryptocurrency; if there is a mentor ever ready to assist and if you have most importantly, money you can afford to lose, or do not need right away, then to earn from cryptocurrency should come easy as long as you understand the risk and steps involved.
Mentors are always coming with the question of trust. If the mentor is a family member with good interests in your profits then it's fine but most mentors who flood the easily accessible internet are lowkey scammers trying to act like they care for you while they actually care for your quick losses from their shilling.

Dummy trading is easy but needs patience and lack the kick of real life trading. However is one of the closest to realism for trading that comes with zero losses.

Hence it comes with practice and experience which takes time and again patience. As a starter be open to opinion but always question, in that way you can enhance your view over crypto way more and hence learn which ones to pick.
1889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have 1 bitcoin? on: January 01, 2023, 09:05:34 AM
Many people sold their bitcoins after quite a big drop, but i am sure there are people who still hodl a large amount of bitcoins
Buying and selling are continuous processes, after buying you sell and after the selling you make the profit to buyback once again. You could check the internet to sell how many wallets actually have more than 1BTC right now.

And i always wonder what motivates those people
Support for the technology, personal interests and profit.

Faith, hope, unemotional analytics or the ability to see the future? Cheesy
Lets be scientific here, its more for profit than any spiritual mumbo jumbo.

Also dont forget that those who having no method to sell their coins end up accumulating more than they can actually afford to keep - not saying that bitcoin wallets have limits but still, they are out of luck to convert to fiat and spend for groceries and all. Such people might have more than 2,3,4..... BTC Grin
1890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers that don't understand basic gambling concepts. on: January 01, 2023, 08:57:05 AM
The only concept I understand is that the house always wins.

Keep that in mind and gradually your urge to gamble to make money will reduce. I consider gambling to be something that should be done only to have fun and spend some good time with friends and family at a tourist location but not as a compulsion to get away over your worldly problems.

Because most gamblers are impulsive to go for quick money which are EV- games, they will keep trickling down your money by gradual amounts unless you find yourself in the negative and then you will become desperate to win back your losses - another mistake. EV+ games are somewhat better in terms of trying to work out a prediction but again the luck factor comes in every now and then.
1891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is fiat to Bitcoin? on: December 31, 2022, 05:25:28 AM
And why do you think not many sellers accept bitcoin as payment?? what could this be related to?
Same reasons why common people dont want to move to bitcoin as an investment option - government restrictions, difficulty in exchanging fiat<>crypto and lack of places to spend crypto for things they need.

What we should aim at is gradual acceptance among people accepting and using crypto. Currently we are having sites that sell gift cards in exchange for crypto which is a workaround but not an ideal thing. Also different countries have different policies regarding the use and taxation of crypto.

Quote
It is necessary to understand such an important point that cryptocurrency is not only one bitcoin, but there is also the Ethereum platform, which occupies a huge place in the cryptocurrency environment and this platform is of great importance for the development of cryptocurrencies. Without the Ethereum platform, the development of cryptocurrencies will be very weak! what do you think about this?? I would also like to know the opinion of others!! join us!
Any crypto other than bitcoin will face the same problem as bitcoin, so I dont think that is relevant here. The number of shitcoins fueled by the ethereum blockchain after the ICO craze started has only siphoned off investors money towards the wrong places and brought bad names to crypto in general, further negating any good impact from bitcoin.
1892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reflective Trading Question on: December 31, 2022, 05:08:13 AM
As you reflect on your trading journey so far as the year comes to an end, what did you do that so significantly enhanced your trading that you wished you could have done it earlier?
Nothing new really, I have been following my old but effective method and it always works out.

Buying low and selling high keeping patience in between works the best. No need to jump into newly launched shitcoins and attempt day trading with your holding. Keep it simple and you can sleep peacefully at night.

There will be good and bad news every year, that is the time you need to capitalize - every bad news brought down the market and it is a coincidence that too many happened this year. But treat these just like any other number and you will not fell anxious to trade.
1893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We have been told: Invest only Extra money in bitcoin on: December 30, 2022, 11:58:31 AM
Yes, i invest in bitcoins but it is not EXTRA money and I am afraid I can't afford to lose. Do you have that EXTRA money that you can afford to lose  Huh
Money is never extra, in my opinion, in this case it is just those coins that you could add to your savings but you might as well do something better with it.

You can allocate a specific percentage of income for bitcoin buying but this will vary depending on the time of the month and the price of bitcoin. You dont want to spend your allocation when bitcoin is at all time high, some months you might not get any price worth buying at all, you have to patient.

Always invest what you can afford to lose and forget, dont take emergency funds to trade or gamble. I keep the money in store for the bear market, usually buy during that time only.
1894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free crypto possible ? Or impossible? on: December 30, 2022, 11:50:11 AM
And we want instant payments into our wallets not like the faucets doing it we have to wait month before we can withdraw 2$ into our wallets.
Free money does not exist, it is a myth created by some crafty people to mislead newbies into sharing stuff that they should not for their own safety, like personal details. If you want money you have to work for it or sell your stuff, nobody is sitting out there to shower free bitcoins on you, this is no charity going on here and neither on the internet. There is always some catch involved in free tokens or shitcoins.

Quote
So IS there any sure way to get some Free airdrops instant please dont suggest those here who might pay maybe not Im Looking for sure deals.
Airdrops will give you shitcoins, that might never actually go up and your wallet will get filled with such tokens until you stop collecting them yourself. Like I said, most of the airdrops ask for a long of personal info and you should be careful.
1895  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It Is Possible To Invest In Crypto Currency Without Buying Any Coins. on: December 30, 2022, 11:38:15 AM
You can buy shares of a project in any form, that should support the project and if the project is based on crypto, you are supporting crypto indirectly. Invest in an exchange or a casino - because these two are the biggest market hubs of spending bitcoin or crypto.

Of course I would not recommend buying tokens on tokensales for newly hyped projects, although that seems to be the most direct route, it is also the most risky as compared with buying bitcoin.

In general speaking, investing in a crypto based company even today carries a lot of uncertainty - fear of government crackdown, market losses, bankruptcy or plain scam. Even exchanges running for long go bust one day.
1896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People who holds 1+ Bitcoin, how does it feel to hold in bear market? on: December 29, 2022, 03:20:59 PM
Those people who have 1 Bitcoin in their wallet are those who are able to ignore the FUDs and market volatility and are willing to hold longer. It was different from those people who just invest a few sats who typically had worries and doubts in their mind, and easily get intense once seeing the price in red.
Those who have doubts about an asset should not invest in it.

This is like a relationship and if there is no trust then there is no meaning of having that relationship, which in turn ends up being toxic rather than fruitful. Here the toxicity is the frustration of having to hold a low performing asset or the pain of not getting good valuation profits in a short time.

Be it one bitcoin or more or less than that, your goal should be clear, you sell at the bull market and buy at the bear market. Be patient about the profits because this is not a get rich-quick game.
1897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just how bad is the bear market right now? on: December 29, 2022, 03:01:38 PM
the problem is who can understand the market for now? in normal situations it is very difficult to read market movements, especially in current market conditions. you need to know in the real world or in crypto a raging bear is much more terrible than a raging bull. So please don't say very common words like that because they don't help in the current situation.
The market is mostly moving sideways and waiting for a big enough movement to start the panic sell/buy to happen. Obviously predicting the market movements is only 50% correct but judging by the trend, it is bearish. There are a lot of reasons why the bear market for prolonged but we should look at the bright side of these things. You have a good opportunity to buy at this point as compared to what price was near all time high.

You could also have run out of liquid cash to buy bitcoin, in which case just stop buying and wait for the next bigger movement to happen, which will happen surely, but not immediately.
1898  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding could be better on: December 29, 2022, 02:55:12 PM
My advice to traders that are losing is to still continue to trade, but using just 20% while 80% should go into holding. What do you people think about this? Out of 100% fund, what percentage can you advice a trader to use?
Holding means long term trading and its counterpart would be short term trading. Majority of bitcoin should be kept on holding while a minimum amount for short term, but this can vary depending on your personal reasons.

Holding is safer and better in terms of mental ease that you have bought at low and you can sell at any good price. The wrong decisions are done due to lack of experience of having gone through bear-bull cycles in the past, common for newbies and impulsive decisions, commonly taken by gamblers. Lack of patience is another issue where they start with a long term goal but start panicking and sell midway.

So I guess everyone has their own sweet spot, some might want to take more risks so these numbers would not be same for all.
1899  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tutored or you learned how to trade? on: December 28, 2022, 03:13:09 PM
I learnt trading mostly from my parents who were into stock market since I was a kid, they used to make good amounts from spot trading on stocks and from the dividends from long term holding. I got into stocks from their mentoring when I started earning.

Crypto was something I started doing on my own side by side, for me this volatility was obviously more, but did not affect me much because I was primed form my previous experience. Gradually I understood that to mitigate the crypto market's massive day changes, you need to do it long term and that is what has been maximally profitable for me. I do understand that day trading on crypto can be massive, but that risk gives me discomfort and hence I avoid it.

Tutor yourself either from a family member who has interest in your well being or do it yourself by dummy trading, the second one is tough.

Flag supported from my end, a copied whitepaper and stock images equal to a scam project.

The social media pages of the guy named "Troy Barmore" is linked to the twitter page of "Andrew Belko" but using the former's name and has just signed up in Nov' 22. Roll Eyes

Similar mixup of names and images on "Nancy Ochs" and "Erin fexy" twitter page. All of these accounts have be recently made.

On a scale of 0-10 as per how convincing these guys are, I would give them a negative ten.

..the community of bounty hunters is overcrowded.
They still dont get it, that they need to move on from hunting shittokens of zero value/get scammed by running after vaporware/made to work like free labor in the promise of fake money.
