Someone gave instructions about how to mine Electroneum with GPU in the 'Mining Altcoins' forum. It seems that this coin was made for the first miners. Some succeed to get near 0.5 BTC in just one day... Now, i think it is too difficult to mine.

I think the devs can mine too. So it shouldn't be a problem to serve the blockchain. Maybe they are creating the coins for the ICO now because it was not created??? The devs are not supposed to sell. I think they have a 1 year no sell in their contract.

I think you will need to wait a lot... Some people are mining with GPU and the difficulty of mining seems very high now. I am also mining with CPU and for one hour i was lucky to get 0.01 ETN... sorry for being noob, but i just start to mine using my PC with a 51 H/s any idea how long can i earn 1 ETN coin out of this Hashrate?

I know that they need computers to mine. But they could block the mining before releasing the mining for smartphone. As it was meant to be mined with a smartphone just for the experience of mining. I don't know why they permit mining with a computer before releasing the mining for smartphone. And they already put it on an Exchange before giving the coins to the investors. And some miners did get a lot of profits.
Now, the mining difficulty with CPU is very high. I am trying to mine with CPU on the official pool now, but no coin for one hour. Is it mineable with GPU? ccminer refuse to connect.
Agree. The mobile mining experience should have been the top priority. Since it doesn't actually depend on the blockchain to work, they should have waited until the release of a working mobile miner before turning on the blockchain. Imagine if on Nov 1 people found that their mobile app has started "mining" and their in-app ETN balance is increasing, although no one can mine with CPU/GPU, or transfer to exchange for dumping yet. There wouldn't be as many complaints. I guess this is just one of those things when hindsight is 20/20. You understand that without CPU/GPU mining (the things building the blockchain) it wouldn't be possable for the mobile miners balance to increase dont you? |

I think their error was not to block GPU mining. Now, i don't know what is their plan to establish the balance... It is going to be impossible to mine with a CPU and also a smartphone at this rate. mining is profitable yesterday, right now the difficulty is so high its hard to get etn. but the devs should've made a GPU miner since this algo can be mined with GPU. I think their original plan is to use an algo that can only be mined using CPU thus the concept of mining using mobile phones, with the adaption of Monero, I think they forgot that the algo can be mined using GPU, making CPU mining useless (my 12-Core Ryzen 5 give me 40H, but my 1060 rig give me 2KH+). I hope I'm wrong coz im an investor and at the same time a miner. |

If you have AMD card use Claymore Cryptonote Miner. Don't know about Nvidia .. I don't own any .. |

ETH is diving, because people are more interested to buy BTC and also because of the next fork. If BTC succeed to attain 7000 USD, and ETH is still at 300 USD, ETH maybe will be 0.035 satochis...
But if BTC fall after, ETH may regain some value compare to BTC. But i don't think ETH will be able to attain 0.1 or 0.9 BTC (the value before Bitcoin Cash).
BTC is too strong and too popular compare to ETH. Each fork of BTC help it to get more value. That's what i found.
I have also lost money compare to Bitcoin. We think that because Bitcoin is so valuable, it can't grow stronger than ETH. But we were wrong.

Dogecoin is very strong. You can see that Bitcoin value is increasing like lightning, but the price of Dogecoin doesn't really move compare to Bitcoin. I think Doge is a safe coin when Bitcoin price increase or fall. That's what i think. And maybe one day it's value will increase too, but it won't be so stable like actually.

Bitcoin can't die so easily. It is because of Bitcoin that the altcoins exist. If there was no Bitcoin, altcoins would not exist.
They use the same blockchain technology. Bitcoin is the father of the altcoins. Altcoins are just trying to innovate the use of the blockchain.
Bitcoin will die if there is no miners. Altcoins depends on Bitcoin success and value.
