1901  Economy / Scam Accusations / SCAM - Ponzi Project "Novencoin" on: March 12, 2019, 06:07:55 PM
What happened: Ponzi scam (offering unrealstic return package)

Website link: https://novencoin.com

Archive link: http://archive.is/DP2Qn

This project is offering 580% return just in 4 days and 202% in 1 days which is completely a shadow of scam. I will suggest everyone to stay far from this project.
1902  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ★ Introducing A Obvious 🔴Scam🔴 ★ on: March 12, 2019, 05:48:25 PM
The scam attempt was not even given an effort, only foolish individual would fall for that.
I'm sure you will find a lot of newbie trying to scam the community, keep up the good work, don't get tired on what you are doing.
Thanks for the encouragement. I feel it as a responsibility to help our forum community by revealing those kinda fraudulent activities. Yeah its true that some users are joining just for doing scam and we should stand together against them to keep our forum safe.
1903  Other / Meta / Re: "@Theymos" Can we know how many members (%) using grin coin as forum payment ? on: March 12, 2019, 05:41:54 PM
Since grin started being accepted, 5 out of 687 payments (0.7%) were via grin.
Thanks for sharing the percentage of grin payment users. Its a starting in my opinion and gradually will increase I hope. Every new thing got positive vibe and need some time for development.
1904  Other / Meta / "@Theymos" Can we know how many members (%) using grin coin as forum payment ? on: March 12, 2019, 05:58:20 AM
Hi,

As we all know that grin has been accepeted as a payment method for our forum. As I know that grin coin launched mainnet on 15th January. Here is the thread link where our honourable forum admin annouced about grin payment acceptation,
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5098450.0

As a forum member I appreciate this as a new improvement. Can we know about the percentages % of member using grin as payment on bitcointalk?

1905  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ★ Introducing A Obvious Scam ★ on: March 12, 2019, 03:20:31 AM
I'd be surprised that anyone would fall for this. That's how obvious it is. Self moderated and locked thread is never legit.

But honestly, the digital goods section is flooded with scams like this. It doesn't matter what payment processor or payment method that they are conducting their trades via, if the rates seem too good to be true, then they are, 100%. I see this a lot with absurd discounts on paypal balances, and gift cards that are sold in the same subforum. People can spot this WU scam from a mile away, yet they seem to think that gift card trades are different or something. Just don't be greedy and avoid them, because even if you do get paid (very unlikely), chances are you have received fraudulently obtained funds/gift cards.

Yeah personally I feel so strange after seeing the return amount of those packages. From my view after showing this kind of unrealistic offers if any investors put his/her fund then its completely on his/her own risk. We can't do anything with anyones own decission but what can do is just increasing awareness about those scammers.
1906  Economy / Reputation / Re: Are these enough proofs to tag this HIGH RANK ring? Need DT opinions on: March 11, 2019, 05:56:33 PM
Great work mate. I think you have already gather enough proof against those Alt account holders. Its going to be much easier for DT members to take decision now IMO. After showing your proof it Kinda clear for everyone now whats going there actually.

Honestly you have spent a lot of time to gather these evidence against those fraudlent activists and they will get their sour rewards.
1907  Other / Meta / Re: ★ Current Statistical Analysis of Bitcointalk.org ★ on: March 11, 2019, 04:41:37 AM
Russia comprises the highest traffic? That's interesting.
Yeah mate its looking interesting to see that traffic competition is going on here between USA & Russia. Both of this country citizens are well introduced with bitcoin and we have their heavy traffic.

1909  Other / Meta / Re: ★ Benefit of Merit Competition on Signature Campaign ★ on: March 10, 2019, 06:19:22 AM
Aren't you forgetting the third possible scenario, it can also lead to merit abuse and spamming for merit just to get bonus.

In conclusion we shouldn't pressure any campaign or campaign manager into promising a bonus they can't fullfil since extra fund is involved and current market situation isn't favoring most projects.
Personally I don't think it as a pressure for managers mate. If you just think about signature project owners side then you can observe that they are spending money for getting investors on their project. As a investor I don't show my interest when I see a shitposter wearing signature on his/her profile.

A quality post can easily attract investors concentration which is really needed for these projects IMO. I also believe that if a project get well response from bitcointalk signature campaign then managers reputation grow dramatically. We can't deny that quality post have got so many useful things.
1910  Other / Meta / ★ Benefit of Merit Competition on Signature Campaign ★ on: March 09, 2019, 06:51:39 PM
Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my thread. Today I am going to share a matter which looks very effective on my eyes for our community. It relates with signature campaign. I had applied on bustadice signature campaign though I had not accepted but I discover something interesting from the activities of campaign manager yahoo62278 . As a applicants I read their main thread and find that campaign manager have put additional stake for few participants  who will make most constructive post.

After visiting the spread sheet I discover the process of choosing most constructive users. Campaign manager select them based on their earn merit per week. As a new user of bitcointalk I see this kinda merit competition on a signature campaign for the first time. I am not sure that any other manager have previously done this kind of competition or not.

Honestly this matter impressed me a lot. I believe merit competition increase the quality of users post which can minimize spam on our forum. I think if other managers follow this strategy by putting bonus stake for constructive users then it will encourage community users to make quality posts. I am not only suggesting this for BTC signature but also for other signature campaign. As far as I know stake distribution fully depend on managers hand and it will not be difficult for them to put few bonus stake for those users. In one side its creating competition among participants to make quality post for achieving bonus. On the other hand forum will get quality posts, unique ideas and obviously going to the next level.

Special Note: I am not sure that my thread is appropriate for this section or not. If not please feel free to suggest.
1911  Economy / Scam Accusations / ★ Introducing A Obvious 🔴Scam🔴 ★ on: March 09, 2019, 05:35:56 PM
What happened: Scam attempt.
Thread link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5118618.msg50089282#msg50089282   (Archived)
Profile-1: davidx2019
Profile-2: bittenb

Lets see their unrealstic offer:

Western Union transfers. Pay with BTC and receive clean $ money to pick up where you want. Make money with us!

Prices of Western Union transfers:

1000$ Transfer = 150$ BTC
2500$ Transfer = 250$ BTC
3500$ Transfer = 350$ BTC
5000$ Transfer = 500$ BTC

For example, if you pay $150 worth of BTC you will receive a $1000 Western Union transfer

It is to notify everyone that this guy is offering 1000$ western union instead of 250$ which is nothing but a trap of stealing money. Anyone can easily detect his scam packages IMO. This guy is also giving fake reviews by using another alt account. Please stay far from this.
1912  Economy / Reputation / Re: Selling fake team members photo for ICO (Need DT attention) on: March 09, 2019, 02:14:51 PM
I removed my services minutes after posting it , it's not because of this thread. Might have made a rash decision but i've decided to instead make a thread soon on how it can be obtained. It has nothing to do with hacked database or anything illegal. Might open the eyes of the people here into not trusting ico's with team pictures which cant be reverse looked up. Doesn't mean their project is legit just because the pics don't exist online.

Anyway, your archived link contains my telegram id and today quite a few people have been adding me requesting for this service because they saw this thread. Guess you didnt think it through before posting it. I decided to stop and you guys are fueling it with sig spams lol.
It doesn't matter you removed your service or not but its a good sign that you understand what is allowed here on the forum. Its simple that if you offer any illegal service then it will attract other illegal activists. Thats the reason why you got several clients on your telegram IMO.
1913  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ★Secret of successful crypto Trading★ on: March 09, 2019, 02:07:11 PM
Trust in this strategy is very dangerous, because if you are late, you will buy at the top and everyone will sell and you will be at a loss. The person never knows what the big price increase will be. And there is the case that many altcoins are listed in shady exchange and if the person follow this group and hear that altcoin X is going to have a big pump but that same altcoin is listed only in the shady exchanges and that person decides to go and deposit their currencies in the shady exchange , then the person may run the risk of losing all their coins.
Yeah I am not disagree with you mate. That's why traders need own experience to buy his/her targeted trading asset in right time. Specially event of a projects have got proper chances for traders. But its a matter of concern that in many social medias and telegram channels we got fake news most of the time. So its a wise decision to gather valid info of a coin/token before making investment.
1914  Other / Meta / Re: DT members - ethical to sell DT services? on: March 09, 2019, 05:11:38 AM
Personally I respect them who are in the DT list. In my opinion this service shouldn't be a sale material. Honestly how our society being protected by cops like that bitcointalk community being protected by DT members I think. Its a service which means a lot for us and obviously we respect this position holders.

Selling DT services could rise a lot of questions about giving someone postive or negative feedback. There could be a slogan like that:

DT-------> NOT FOR SALE
1915  Economy / Reputation / Re: ["Risky" Loan] borrower [marcotheminer] on: March 08, 2019, 08:59:49 PM
I am agree with OP, asking multiple loan at the same time is too risky. Problem is lender will not aware about his previous loan if they never bother to read post history. Since marcotheminer have lot of positive feedback's perhaps lender will trust him. I am not telling he will scam or he deserve red tag just for asking loan. Neutral feedback would be appropriate in my opinion. So lender will aware about his previous loan.
Basically you can't do anything if lender trust him and accepting him after observing his recent activity. Its not gonna make any sense what we talk about that borrower IMO. Its clear that this borrower recent activity is not kinda favourable for having loan but what we can do if someone still ready to offer him.

OP is trying to make everyone careful about this kinda user and I appreciate it humbly.
1916  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to find upcoming event of any coin/token? on: March 08, 2019, 08:52:13 PM
I did use coingecko quite some time to search for any upcoming update on a certain coin you want to know. I found some site that doesn't update their site if there's any new updates on a certain coin and you won't be able to make it in time once the event is started.
Some event info provider source websites are not quite active and that's the reason why they make delay on publishing new updates of a coin/token. You can follow some other source who are really rich with their information section. I hope you will find best results on these sources which I provided on my thread.
1917  Economy / Reputation / Re: ["Risky" Loan] borrower [marcotheminer] on: March 08, 2019, 05:22:50 AM
Honestly you can't call him a scammer on doubt basis but its true that his activities are kinda strange. when a lender suddenly become a borrower it creates so many question for all and its undeniable. But current lender who are working with him should be careful before doing any big deal IMO.
1918  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Easiest way to find upcoming event of any coin/token on: March 07, 2019, 05:11:55 AM
I use Coindar. It's also a great tool, helped me a lot during the time of the ICO boom and when news of a given partnership or rumours of development updates would pump up the coin/token prices.
Basically coin/token price pumping relates with event announcement. That's why investor follow these sources to make profits easily.

Thread has been updated with your source link. Thanks

Good list but I'm only using one site to keep updated for the upcoming event for a specific coin or token.

Coingecko is one of the best tools that I used with complete updates, tools, and news about the coin.

Why not add this https://www.coingecko.com/
Thanks for providing the link of your trusted source. Thread has been updated with your source link.
1919  Economy / Reputation / Re: How legit it is! on: March 06, 2019, 06:18:36 PM
Its true that when a higher rank member apply for a lower rank then obviously lower rank members lose their chances to be accepted. But from my view its totally depends on campaign manager decision to take them or not.
1920  Economy / Scam Accusations / A POSSIBLE SCAM "Bitcoin Black" on: March 06, 2019, 06:14:40 PM

What happened: No team, No concept & huge supply.
They mentioned team here: https://bitcoinblack.net/community
But these are just peoples who registered there. In real they have no team members.

please read a part of their whitepaper
Quote
Bitcoin is in a cycle which will discourage people from cryptocurrency and remove
hope of cryptocurrency being an ecosystem for the people, making it seem like an
enemy as the majority of people enter at the wrong time due to the media.
Bitcoin takes power from the people as it's heavily manipulated and through cycles
which discourages participants from cryptocurrency in general.

They are talking against bitcoin on their whitepaper but how surprising is that they want to raise Bitcoin by their ICO. you can check it here that they are continuing their presale by using bitcoin payment method.
https://bitcoin.black/product/pre-sale-packet-900000-coins-stage-4/

For your information today I found this user mbelgasmi and here is post history. When I click his referral link its redirect on Bitcoin black website.

Total supply: (36 000 000 000) Just look at their total supply. I think they just use the name of bitcoin only to get investors attention but in real they are totally spreading news against bitcoin. I will suggest to read their whitepaper to know details about this possible scam.
