1501  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Something Odd? Thinking caps on guys. on: September 12, 2019, 09:37:48 AM
I am wondering if there may be some kind of flaw with the old electrum wallets that people missed I cannot understand how 2 words sets with the same words but in very different positions can produce a hash with the same leading characters unless there is a problem along the road somewhere.
Basically we haven't observe much incidents which actually relates with this but i think that those seed would not be detected with so ease but seed generating process is obviously backdated.

I may be wrong but when you have 20k of these all very very very close it tells you something is wrong very wrong.
Yeah its kinda unexpected to see common words on different combination which actually increase the chances of being too much similar on some pairs.
1502  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Beginner Question / PLEASE HELP on: September 11, 2019, 07:57:17 PM
Your first expert has given you the best advice and its better to follow his guideline as a bitcoin beginner. Electrum is the most secure wallet and on the other hand you can use Coinbase as a trusted exchange. Both of them are best on their service which you will understand after starting to use them.

You can use below links to open your Electrum wallet and Coinbase account;

1. https://electrum.org
2. https://www.coinbase.com
1503  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Something Odd? Thinking caps on guys. on: September 11, 2019, 05:46:07 PM
You have got something interesting but in my opinion its not so easy to detect those combination by using single partial match only. If you look deeply on those set of words then you can see there that in every single combination multiple words organised in different position. Its not like that same words are using on similar place or in a common combination each time. Every single time those words are making their pairs by changing previous combination. For those pairs of words easily more thousands of combination could be generated which is kinda tough to detect AFAIK.
1504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum File Encryption on: September 10, 2019, 05:58:00 PM
I could add another step where the user requires to go through a signature process and post their email or password such that
I can send them the file, but that gets complicated for my lovely users who are not necessary IT people.

Yep this is gonna be relatively complex for them who are not well introduced with this system and there is no doubt here.
1505  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Professional Bitcoin developer on: September 10, 2019, 10:54:18 AM
You can move this thread on Service board or open another one there with details requirement. In my opinion it will be easier for you to get someone who is already providing services here on bitcointalk. If that doesn't fulfill your requirement then you can hire someone from freelance marketplace like fiverr, Upwork or freelancer.com .
1506  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to find a team for a project? on: September 10, 2019, 10:43:23 AM
Honestly you will have to build your team by using your own experience. If you have better plans to create a team for your project then you can search them on Linkedin first. On this platform you can choose your desired team member very easily but there is couple of fake profiles too. So its your own responsibility to choose right one from there. You can also find many experienced member from this forum too. For that you will have to visit different section of this forum to get enough information about them and their capability.

Creating a thread for collecting team members could be helpful for you. So you can proceed for this option too.
1507  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nano BiT Coin - SCAM!FAKE TEAM / STOCK PHOTO on: September 10, 2019, 10:07:45 AM
Thanks for continuing your work. Flag supported and scammer's profile Tagged from my end.

Hope others will do the same after seeing this clear scam ICO project.
1508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: September 09, 2019, 07:30:11 PM
Its always better to apply knowledge for anything either its betting or trading. Yeah its true that in sports everyone wants to set their bet against weak team and it should be. But you can't be 100% sure where its quite common to observe unexpected win from he weakest side too. Specially for football matches i have seen couple of things like that where team with majority support lose badly.

I am a die hard fan of FC Barcelona but sometimes their match result put me on early sleep when i see the final result Barcelona 0 - Osasuna 3. So there is no way to deny that going with majority doesn't work properly for every time.
1509  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BITWOLF Capital - SCAM - Fake team member + Plagiarized WhitePaper on: September 09, 2019, 07:13:01 PM
I don't know how could they expect investor on this kind of garbage. I hope worldwide crypto investors are mature enough to pick right one for them.

1510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Get automatically an email if a bitcoin adress is used? on: September 09, 2019, 07:00:14 PM
Simply most of the wallet notify their user during releasing or receiving fund from anywhere. In some cases users have to enable this feature from his wallet notification setting area. Coinbase, blockchain, coinpayments are providing this email notification system for their users. You will also be able to see this kinda similar features on some exchanges where they ask for email confirmation for withdrawal. As far as i know bittrex, c-cex and some others provide this kinda service for their users. Its a verification process by which they take permission from account owners.
1511  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Biometric BTC wallet? on: September 08, 2019, 11:25:05 PM
Many of us have already shared their opinion about "biometric" and i am not gonna disagree with them too. Implementing retina or finger print scan system for fund transfer or wallet security wouldn't be a good idea. In both of these system there is higher chances to lose fund from wallet because those are easily collectible. I think maybe OP have got interested because in recent times most of the latest mobile phone brands are providing finger print and face detection features for their users. But mobile phone privacy and wallet security doesn't bear the same value. Where it relates with the matter of users fund there security should be unbreakable.

Yeah you can say that hackers can breach any types of security but we have to choose something which has lower chances. Current password based security system is much safer in my opinion where users could change it when they feel it necessary. But for "biometric" system we can't do it for multiple times specially for retina scanning.
1512  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] asicworlds.com on: September 08, 2019, 06:05:22 PM
Thanks for feeling it necessary to let everyone know this matter by opening this thread. Rising from inactivity and start spamming is obviously a matter of concern. I hope after seeing this thread everyone will be careful enough before using this website.
1513  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HavEther - SCAM - Plagiarized whitepaper on: September 08, 2019, 06:00:59 PM
Basically expecting something better from this kinda project is nothing but a waste of time. Stealing content from anywhere else and hiding team info is quite common in most scam projects.

Flag supported and user Tagged from my end.
1514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where To Spen Bitcoins? Full List. on: September 08, 2019, 05:41:03 PM
Bitcoin have already made an great impact globally and day by day users are growing. By understanding users demand many company, service providers are starting to accept bitcoin as their payment method. Famous hosting and domain provider "Namecheap" are continuing their service by accepting bitcoin from their customers. I believe very soon we will be able to see lot more companies who will accept bitcoin for secure & fast transaction.

You can add "Namecheap" on your list. Here is their website link: https://www.namecheap.com
1515  Other / Meta / Re: Keep Bitcoin as a product for the people on: September 08, 2019, 04:13:53 AM
Nice I must applaud you, but people from Africa to needs to be enlightened, there are vast population of Africans(in Africa or around the world) who has caught the interest of bitcoin. Some are not fluent in English or just to shy to come out. Like you said bitcoin is for the world and I believe it has the power in bringing people together and killing social vices like racism, stigmatisation, stereotype, xenophobia and so on.
Blindly it will be a pleasure for me to help them. There is some user on our forum who are working with African community to enrich their knowledge vault about crypto world. I will be glad to provide any kind of service for them if it helps them to increase their knowledge about bitcoin. Yeah i agree with you that they have communication gap and its because they are not fluent in English. Hopefully its not gonna be a big issue if they got thrust for learning new things. Bitcoin is the which has no border limit and our community is the real example for that. Different people from different countries are working together here as a family. So if we get much more bitcoin lovers from Africa then its obviously gonna spread the name of bitcoin on a large scale.
1516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best Exchanges to Get a new coin listed on on: September 08, 2019, 03:25:27 AM
Slow death have already mentioned here about your last project and currently its not existing. So obviously you have learned that its not an easy task to be successful without proper marketing plan. Without having strong background its quite difficult to gain attention from investors or creating the community. Yeah its true that some exchanges will list your project just for getting fees from your side but i am pretty much sure that is not gonna make any difference.

Your last project ANN on this forum wasn't good enough IMO and that's why you have got only one replies there. I hope before proceeding for another project you will take your time to study a lot about ideal project background, marketing plan, investors demand, creating community, necessity of your project and many more things which actually works behind a successful crypto project. After implementing all these you could proceed for exchange listing or press releases for your coin.
1517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin 'successfully' transferred to an invalid bitcoin address on: September 08, 2019, 02:53:30 AM
This is good practice, but it isn't sufficient. There exist fake websites using punycode to disguise themselves as the real thing, sometimes indistinguishably. If you are using Firefox (which you should be if you care about your privacy), then open a new tab, type about:config, search for network.IDN_show_punycode, and toggle it to true. This will protect you from punycode attacks.

Even then, this isn't enough. The official electrum.org site could still be hacked and start hosting malware. As it says on the Electrum site, you should verify the file you have downloaded before installing it. There's an easy to follow guide to doing this here: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-verify-your-electrum-download/.
Another bunch of necessary information which will absolutely help electrum users to be careful enough before installing the file. If electrum official site go under hacker control then its quite expected that at first they will plant their malware on file download section. Everyone who will download file after this kinda hacking attempt will get malware infected file on their devices. Electrum related scam incidents isn't a new thing now. So its undoubtedly better to build the habit of verifying file before installing.

1518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheaters . who caused the cryptocurrency to go down on: September 08, 2019, 02:30:59 AM
Scammers always try to commit their fraudulent activities on popular areas. Nowadays crypto is the most popular thing because of its large community. Its the main reason why scammers are targeting crypto related projects for committing their scam game. As like as in every second we are getting new users on crypto world on the other hand bunch of scammers are recruiting too.

I will be happy to get the complete description what actually you are trying to say through this post. Its kinda tough to understand the exact meaning of your thread.
1519  Other / Meta / Re: Keep Bitcoin as a product for the people on: September 07, 2019, 10:21:15 AM
Congrats. I did try to help members from The Philippines in the Fit to Talk forum, but that seems to have died down a lot. I'll try to rebuild that over the next few months. Members from The Philippines, Venezuela and similar countries are important for the future of Bitcoin in my opinion. We need to ensure that the distribution of Bitcoin wealth is retained amongst the people of the world, and not just kept by the bankers.
Its a great step for the people of Philippines, Venezuela and other similar countries. Don't give up from providing your service for them. Maybe you are not getting enough responses but it can be changed in upcoming days. Spreading the name of bitcoin and connecting more people with our community is always a great thing. Have a lots of best wishes from my end.
1520  Economy / Reputation / Re: ★ BQT & IOU - Committed Scam with bounty participants ★ on: September 07, 2019, 09:50:54 AM
It is to notify everyone that BQT team is showing enough professional behavior about this issue. They are continuously giving me updates about their work and i hope very soon bounty participants will receive their payment. I believe every project owners are very much careful about their reputation and it should be. Because of their previous bounty manager's alt account issue and inactivity they were facing this unwanted situation. They have promised me that they will resolve it as soon as possible. From my entire conversation i realized that they have deep respect about our forum and the participant who joined them.

They don't wanna lose bitcointalk users support for them and they want to continue this for a long time. Currently they are working with spreadsheet and after a complete scrutiny i will verify it from my side for a fair distribution. I personally wanna give thanks to xtraelv for his great support and others who keep their patience until now. Hope we will be able to resolve it very soon.
