The auction was announced before the Assets on the NXT AE. Therefore everyone knew that some more stakes will be distributed. Ans stop saying everything goes into devs pocket.
There's no problem about the auction of the 150 stakes for BTC. It was properly announced before the launch of NEM in NXT AE. The thing is that as NEM has already practically launched on NXT AE, you can't anymore do whatever you like. I can only see two fair (or three) schemes regarding the unclaimed stakes: - Destroy the unclaimed coins - Distribute the unclaimed coins equally between stakeholders - (Distribute the unclaimed coins equally in portions between stakeholders, developers and developing funds) Just to make sure we are talking about the same subject, I am talking about the stakes that will be left unclaimed after you have finished distributing NEM. I am OK with the auction of the around 150 stakes for BTC. Well then we were talking about 2 different things. What we'll do with the "leftovers" is yet undecided but there is a heavy discussion going on as we see that it's important to the community to have a decision here.

stakes shouldn't be distributed to even wider audience, as this would be very unfair towards people who have bought their stake from NXT AE.
Can you elaborate on how that would be unfair ? Their shares won't get smaller by more people getting in. We're merely trying to get to those 3k stakeholders. {troll mode on} I guess he has sock puppet accounts an he want to get as much of AE as poosible... What I meant was that the value of the stake would naturally decrease if the unclaimed ones would be re-distributed. In my opinion that would be unfair for the ones who have bought their stakes from NXT AE as this would be unanticipated move. The auction of the 150 stakes for btc is fair as it was expected and announced _before_ the launch of NEM in NXT AE. And gimre please don't make such accusations even though I don't have many posts. Writing in a foreign language takes great energy from me, and have chosen to stay as "a reader" on these forums. Also, you can check that I haven't claimed my stake as nxt asset nor have I any plans to do so. Thatīs the point. If you sell them, you just take money from the ones who decided to not sell their stake or even buy more, and put in developers pocket or in a developer fund. And there is already a developer fund. Please state a decision as soon as possible. The auction was announced before the Assets on the NXT AE. Therefore everyone knew that some more stakes will be distributed. Ans stop saying everything goes into devs pocket.

Well afaik the auction is the only way we were planing to spread it further. So there really shouldn't be a problem right ?

My points are pretty clear,. (...) Nxt was launched just 2 months after IPO and 25% of people never came back to claim their coins. Given much longer delay, this number could be even higher, but lets assume it's 25%
Why do you think 10% plus all the BTC isn't enough for future development? Nxt started with 21 BTC and unclaimed nxt equaled to 10 million ( which is only 1% of total nxt) .
What's wrong with you? Nothing is wrong with me. Out of 100, 73 came back to claim their stake, so 25%+ never showed up. The second statement is correct too as those 25% had contributed BTC that were worth 1% of Nxt which was about 10 million Nxt. That doesn't change the fact that 25% of people never showed up to claim the coins. Since in Nem every stake is equal, if 25% don't show up that would be 750 million nemYes that's what it WOULD be....emphasis on WOULD. We're not there yet. We've heard you and will address this. Any more reason to put newcomers of with FUD ?

It sounds like you really just want more coins. Don't beat around the bush.
As oppose to 8 insiders who want to control 50% of the coins? And that's the great "the fair distribution" of the coin? Why not rename Nem to aurora if that happens? You are calculating the 50% with the assumption that 25% will unclaimed stakes. That nothing but an assumption. NXT had that many so what ? We noticed your concern and we'll think about how best to proceed. You can stop posting FUD now.

I oppose pre launch public auction, as that means 400 BTC IPO is going into someone pocket at current prices.
If developers want 400 BTC more, why they also need 15% stake too (which is 600 million Nem)
Money is used to pay for ecosystem dev, etc. Those stakes are only worth 400 BTC because of our efforts, so what is the problem? Those stakes are NOT worth 400 BTC because of your efforts as nothing is released. They are worth 400 BTC because of the entire community and supporter. So let get this straight. (1) You want 15% of stakes -- that's 600 stakes for anyone not counting, or 600 million Nem -- (reserved 10% more for future) (2) You want 66 BTC and several thousand Nxt that were collected during IPO (3) Now on top of that you want to sell 200 more stakes before the launch for additional 400 BTC (which is essentially a second IPO) (4) No definite statement made about what you will do with unclaimed stakes. The whole thing is intended to make 8 "developers" rich very fast before the launch (or just after). Good luck to "rest" of the community since if developer dump even 50% of the 15% (300 million) it will tank the prices for all of you bought it on Nxt AE, while developers are already rich. Do you realize you're becoming CfAs annoying little sibling ? Why is it so hard for you to understand that most of those funds will be spent FOR NEM. FOR THE COMMUNITY. I would immagine that after V1 will depploy a commitee that decides on ideas that come from the entire community. Make a better suggestions. You're only spreading FUD but in no way you are making any suggestions on how to handle it. How on earth is one to make a definite statement about unclaimed stakes if they have no idea on how many those will be ? Yeah, it's incredibly likely that devs will dump their coins after they've spent countless hours of devloping it for unappreciating people like yourself. And NEM is not where it is because of the devs work ? Are you kidding me ? Are you freaking kidding me ?

@patmast3r please distribute shares more often to keep price health!
I'm issueing assets when i find time for it. Harldy anything I can change about that since I have a life outsite of NEM. Multiple people doing it would cause a mess and probably errors plus I don't think anyone else has much time for it.

A couple of suggestions regarding the profit of 156 auction stakes, todays price about 468 BTC (coul be more) :
1. Use it for corporate desing and big marketing bomb soon after launch. 2. ...or devs could quit their dayjobs and consetrate to just NEM for a while to get even more work done. 3. ...or use it to send a marketing group to many bitcoin-conferences and payexpo's etc. to advertise NEM and get some contacts and make deals. (It worked great for NXT)
Those are exactly the kind of things all funds that are allocated for the future of NEM will be used.

"TaunSew" what is your reason for your constant lying, whining and hatred against NXT?
I can understand your fascination but it's a shame to the entire community and not doing any good to NEM at all.
What part was he lying about ? Are you serious? Most of this individuals posts are nothing but full of completely false claims and lies. I am not going to go into detail here, just check the post history if you truly care. Same level like "CfA". John (ppubic leader of NxT) stole a fortune, for real. All those donations he requested, scam trades, cointropolis asset (which he pocketed). Easily $250K+ John is not a leader of NXT, there is no such thing as a leader of Nxt. He was an individual speaking for Nxt at a public event. His account was hacked and BTC were stolen with a forum post on the Nxtforums. About the scam (the real one, not the one in your imagination): John is not a public (or any) boss, he is someone who represented the community at PayExpo. He has attended less than half of the conferences Nxt has attended. It was not 250k, it was 74 BTC total, 49 from one person who was specificly targeted. There is no evidence at this point that it was John, more likely that his email account was hacked to reset passwords on nxtforum and twitter. It's being investigated.
But go on with your nonsense, facts just get in your way. NxT is damage control mode. He was at multiple conferences and was pumping out hype. He was the de facto leader of NxT ro anyone who attended the conferences. World's longest investigation. He took money and ran. This thread is about discussing topics realted to NEM. If you want to blow off some steam regarding NXT pls find a different thread.

So is patmast3r now in charge of distributing the remaining 500 + tokens or is someone else responsible for that? Some clarification on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Who has access to this NXT account (13254208495541261949)? Patmast3r?
How many NEM tokens have been requested & issued since this Utopian Future situation happened?
Thanks in advance for answering.
Yes I'm in charge of that. I've issued about 10 tokens since UP left and have about 20 more that will be issued with the next batch.

Anyway, what are your reasons fro opposing the auction?
Because it's a second IPO before the launch to collect even more money. The stakes should be divided equally among the current stakeholders. Why you so worring about money? I as a stakeholder am entitled worry, especially after the leadership has proven to be not honest. If this whole project is a money making scheme for just 8 people, lets say it straight. Instead of spreading FUD you could just ask a straight question and wait until it is answered. You are not asking questions your are claiming the acution is a second IPO (which is funny cuz there was no first) and it's prupose is to gain more money. The auction is to spread NEM even further. Who do you think should have controll over the fund if not the core team ? You can still request a refund if your not okay with how things are going.
