1903  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: cheap bitcoin miner hw from the china crackdown? any deals out there? on: July 23, 2021, 02:59:06 PM
I get kids asking me here in asia, if anybody is selling, IMHO I say no, because I think they're just moving out of certain regions of china, boxing the equipment and finding a new home,
Trouble in recent years is everybody was mining in one place, where they had cheap coal, the water is real low, so hydro ain't avail anymore cheap

Anybody see anything? So I can tell these kids?

Sure I can go on alibaba.com and there is a ton of 'used crap' like 5+ year old s-12's that do 20th, but generally the stuff is smoked out, and 90% of the time it never ship's and alibaba still gets paid, whether it ships or not, or even if it gets shipped its usually not what was described an  return shipping costs more than it cost to buy in the first place, and then they just deny they ever got it back, virtually impossible to 'correct'
PM me where do you live so i might help you out to find some deals.
as few days ago i heard someone successfully smuggling tons of GPU here with quite cheap price tag.

1905  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: mycelium encrypted private key on: April 09, 2021, 10:01:40 PM
So, no chance?

For real?
For real: I just tried creating a wallet: it gives 15 characters (all caps) and one checksum character. Assuming the checksum isn't needed, that gives 2615 possibilities: 1.677*1021. If you want to try all possibilities in a year, you need to try 53 trillion combinations per second. It's not going to happen any time soon.
Holyshoot...
Should I give up on this?
Even a quantum computer would take a while to get the 15 character formed correctly right? Jeez. I knew it, I just want to make sure if someone experienced the similar thing.

One day once bitcoin hit 1 million usd , the coin inside this wallet would be so worthy even if I have to buy a quantum computer personally.
Thanks for replying though, I'm on my way finding Other old private key i might missed.

Hi Anders,

Would you mind to have a look here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5328628.0

As the disputes still on.
Nice promotion though, the casino madness!

Hello EdenHazard,
I see that Victor is currently in discussion with you on this matter.
Anders
Since it seems the thread that I created few days ago can't be unlocked , I'd update my situation here.

Victor, Ash and Anders .. the whole CoinRoyale team has been taking care my complain very well, especially victor who has been in touch with me here since day one , even though yeah there's one important moment missed by victor that trigger this complicated situation, for those who wonder what's going on .. please take a look here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5328628.0 .
So yeah I got my fund back , fully refunded, thanks to victor and everyone involved.

I wish you guys keep Anders and Ash in the team, they both assisted me very well and probably a lot other complains that come through CoinRoyale support email this time.

CoinRoyale getting better from what I've seen, hat off.

1908  Economy / Gambling / Re: Balance Removed from CoinRoyale on: April 06, 2021, 05:23:34 PM
Just recheck again and yeah they have that term.

IMO, since they provided this information on their term & condition of their casino nothing you cant do right now since every service have their own rules and policy. I know was pitty losing 0.13 BTC but nothing cant do right now by following of their ToS since you are agree to all of them while you are decide to register.

Oh yeah about the ToS thing.
I found it's interesting ...

Take a look here https://web.archive.org/web/20160413102638/https://coinroyale.com/tos

Thoughts ?
1909  Economy / Gambling / Re: Balance Removed from CoinRoyale on: April 06, 2021, 08:28:11 AM
^ Ah I see. I got it it mixed up. So you contacted their official customer support first before asking help from Victor. Yeah you might have a case here why they ignored your second email. The question here is why they didn't asked you to provide additional information to verify it was really your account back in 2016. What changed in 2021?
I don't want to speculating but it seems back in 2016 everything handled by a very limited human resource or even I can say victor might be the only one who handle everything by himself.
Year after years it seems CoinRoyale gained popularity and victor think it's a must to have additional staff to handle a lot of people at the same time , and recently I see there's BitcoinASH act as customer service .. and some other guys actively being a community manager here.

Well in the end this is a speculation Grin
1910  Economy / Gambling / Re: Balance Removed from CoinRoyale on: April 06, 2021, 08:07:51 AM
~
And guess what, they are successfully recover my account 5 years later!
Can you clarify if you sent follow ups from 2017 to 2020 using your another email? From what I understand, you also stopped asking when Victor didn't reply to you. It is possible that he didn't forward your case to the customer support that's why they kept contacting your forgotten email.
Na ah brah ..
I still replying though...

1911  Economy / Gambling / Re: Balance Removed from CoinRoyale on: April 06, 2021, 07:07:29 AM
CoinRoyale obviously won't reply back to you since it has stated on their TOS. Your money, which we can considered has been "lost" is 0.13 btc or $7,644 which is huge amount but you can do nothing about that (in 2016, that was maybe only around $600-$700).

So what do you really think about this policy and my situation.
Am I guilty for being dormant and the balance get wiped out while I was in attempt to get access to the account back in 2016 ?
You can't do anything IMO. You were given 1 year (more than enough time) for access your account before but you abandon it. Sorry to say that

You are responsible for writing down the email addresses you use to sign up for accounts on websites, you are responsible for all the information you use to sign up on a website. You posted their terms on dormant accounts and the answer is simple, you screwed up and lost access to the email address or whatever, so it is your own fault.

It has been 5 years as well, and you're likely only worried about it hoping that they or someone can help you because the btc price is much higher then it was years ago.

My advice, keep notes somewhere when signing up for websites. Write stuff down and be responsible. Don't expect a website to fix your mistakes.
I did trying to recover the account and it's normal for being human to forgot something ... that's why there's a forgot password .. forgot username .. forgot email feature in every damn site , that's the standard and moreover .. the customer service, the one who be able guide you to do that, which that time victor failed to do so by stopping to reply to my email.

And guess what, they are successfully recover my account 5 years later!

So here's the newest timeline as per 2021

✓ I did forgot
✓ they are replying
✓ they are helping me out
✓ they recovered my account
✓ I get my access to the account

Yes , the customer service working properly in 2021.

Guess what would happen if victor replied to my email back in 2016?

1912  Economy / Gambling / Re: Balance Removed from CoinRoyale on: April 05, 2021, 11:34:02 PM
I never used CoinRoyale website so far, I don't think they are active in Bitcointalk forum, and I can't find if they have any betting license, if that is the case don't be surprised that something like this happened.
You should read terms on their website and if they have some rule that can terminate your acount for being dormant for years than there is nothing you can do about it, and there is nobody to complain about your problem.
This is their active thread on Bitcointalk. They are one among the oldest gambling platform, and the lack of promotion has made it unknown to most of the gamblers and the bitcointalk community members. As you've said different sites follow different procedures, and this being an oldest one sticking to a stepped process whereas the late launched platforms does it with ease on a single request.
Yeah I've been following them since they started the business.
I have good relationship with victor too.

So, did you can access the account with that address or not? or just some speculation you ask them to look the account with that address and they send full information like Email, ETC. I guess you also need to provide your log in on "CoinRoyale" with your email + show people the deposit address is belong to you with some video capture I guess. The  only problem always how to verify you are not using that fund for bets due to this problem have a gap 4 years and almost some casino not really save at all history for a long gap time. I believe you still can SS the picture for number 9 as well.

If, you can provide all those things make the scam assumption against them because there is no any information at all on FAQ and T&C about the rules any balance more than 1 years will be remove.

Use them FAQ and T&C for the response that.
I did have the access to the account after going through security verification.
They are giving access to me as they verified the rightful owner

Somehow they have it written though

Meanwhile at fortunejack my account with years being dormant .. the fund is still there safe .

Yea I can confirm that because I did a very similar thing except with Fortunejack, I dont know how but I forgot or misplaced my record of balance with them.  I was on the original FJ sig campaign long ago so think it was from that deposit.  Literally years go by and yet when I return Im able to recover my details the balance waiting for me, that is the way it really should be and I'll always repeat that story because its a point in their favour in terms of trust.   Anyone can fall ill etc, who knows the distractions people have unforeseen and unavoidable.   Its not a gold bar or some kind of cost to maintain, just a number I see no reason why they cannot just be a safe holder of funds like anywhere.
The problem is in FIAT currency its now a given any savings you have will be wiped out if you leave them there, some people speculate eventually this attitude will extend to pensions and people will be destitute/reliant on hand outs.   I understand archiving, banks will archive a current account but even a plain bank wont absorb the balance and argue its now theres.

Quote
Any balance that existed in the account would have been removed after 1 year
So what do you really think about this policy and my situation.
Am I guilty for being dormant and the balance get wiped out while I was in attempt to get access to the account back in 2016 ?

Actually being dormant account for too long would usually be having this kind of problem since most website or platforms would definitely be wiping it out
or freeing up some space but the thing here is that they dont make out such response when you are still actively sending out some email to them
in regards with the issue.Im dont experience on playing with Coinroyale though but talking about chances on getting those funds back or
account to be accessible again is very less likely to happen.

Yes.Yes. Yes.
I can prevent my account being dormant if only they replied to my email, as I reported the issue right after I think I have lost / forgot the access to the account with the mentioned address above.

Meanwhile at fortunejack my account with years being dormant .. the fund is still there safe .

I know yeah different company, different policies, I got it.. just saying though.
1914  Economy / Gambling / Balance Removed from CoinRoyale on: April 05, 2021, 06:02:38 PM
I'm not sure if I have to put this thread on scam accusations As I respected victor alot but since he is no longer replying to my email.. I'm going to post this matter publicly to hear what do you guys think about my dispute.

So I've been looking for the address below for years 16CQvkMJHcDrCMnd8srZHVJnpHyZM4cLub

I sent the coins there but forgot which account as far as I remember I send the coins from fortune jack to that address

Even I put it on a contest back in 2016 take a look here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1531012.msg15409543#msg15409543

So here's the timeline

1. June 10th 2016 I sent the coins and Forgot the access to the account with this address 16CQvkMJHcDrCMnd8srZHVJnpHyZM4cLub

2. June 18th 2016 Contacted victor asking for help

3. June 19th 2016 Got an answer that there's no deposit coming

4. I explained again the account with this address 16CQvkMJHcDrCMnd8srZHVJnpHyZM4cLub

5. 2016 No answer

6. The whole 2016 , 2017 and 2018 keep looking for that address to other sites and put it on a contest to find in which account/site that address belong

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1531012.msg15409543#msg15409543

8. February 5th 2021 Contacted support again asking for help finding this account with address 16CQvkMJHcDrCMnd8srZHVJnpHyZM4cLub And they found it

9. They said

'Unfortunately as the account has been dormant for over 4 years, the accounting history has been archived and is not accessible.

Any balance that existed in the account would have been removed after 1 year and repeated attempts to contact you via the email on record.'

They were repeated contacted me through the email that I have no longer access to it before the balance Removed while I'm contacting them during 2016 that I forgot the account and they give no answer.

so no matter how many times they sent notifications there to my email that I have no longer access to it, it's useless as I was in attempt to fix the problem/find solution but then there's no reply from them, that's the bottom line.
I should have got that 'dormant account' notification, if only that time back  In June 2016 they are following up my case

Sorry if my timeline messed up due my sucks grammar.
1915  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's 100k bubble may not burst ??? on: April 02, 2021, 10:07:25 PM
If I put Data and math aside .. I'd say it's gonna drop more than 50% soon , my point of view is that those huge company that invested millions/billions dollar in bitcoin will release their holding once the overall economics backup. That's my gut, I had it.
1916  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: mycelium encrypted private key on: April 02, 2021, 09:15:07 PM
Is there any way to decrypt the privkey?
No. Mycelium's Single Address Account backup is designed to be safely sent by email and printed. That's only possible because the backup is worthless if you don't write the 15 characters on the printout.
So, no chance?

For real? Anybody else have similar situation like me?
1917  Bitcoin / Mycelium / mycelium encrypted private key on: April 02, 2021, 07:45:57 AM
I have a wallet backup encrypted private key  but somehow back in the time when I back this up I forgot to write the 15 character pass down , which makes the wallet inaccessible now.

Is there any way to decrypt the privkey? So I can pass the 15 character password.

1919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy 5 coins and wait till each of them grows 10%, then sell on: December 06, 2020, 05:18:14 AM
The results will still be dependable based upon the choices of 5 coins you will buy because it is still dependent if you have chosen the right coins and have spent wisely the budget you have allocated on buying those coins. The strategy you have is just a simple trial and error if you will simply think of it. It could work or not depending on the coins you have bought but still there is no assurance that you can be successful by doing that. You can do pursue it and learn your lesson but still it would be a wise spending if you will get yourself familiarize first on the coins existing in the market to help you out on deciding which coins are worthy of your expenses and will give you profit once and for all.
A scam coin with fake project would only makes you have a never ending to wait.

A coin that are on its peak will take you ages,  a coin with high market cap won't move that quick and required years...  So yeah it's depends on what coin you choose and there's no guarantee for you to get that 10% target especially if you doing it randomly.
A technical and fundamental analysis would always be better required,  otherwise things will feel like gamble.
1920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 06, 2020, 04:38:14 AM
west ham 1 - 3 Manchester United

once again Bruno fernandes did some magic and Pogba scored a great goal. bruno fernandes is an extremely important player in manchester united and 3 minutes Mason Greenwood scored the second goal. honestly I can't believe that west ham is losing after winning for several minutes

edit: Marcus Rashford scored the 3rd goal. It is unbelievable how this game has changed only with the input of some players.

Nice comeback by United,  they are pretty often left behind but managed to win it at the end, means it's allow us to get really good odds on them, the last time I see when they losing 1-0,  the price for a draw is @3.4 and the price for United to win @6.2 at the first 10 minutes after the second half which 10 minutes later Pogba make it draw and 13 minutes later they are successfully make a comeback. Didn't expect for that third goals tho.

While Chelsea also successfully make a quick comeback after sloppy start conceded a goal at 4',  we won it by 3-1 to Leeds. Top of the table and waiting for Tottenham and Liverpool to drop points today. Cheers!
