Stop looking for a sorcerer, there are none.  You merely have to pee pare ur selfie for both directions.  HELROW???

I'm learning to prepare. But there are sorcerers. Don't kid your selfie.

Ok.  fair enough.. deny and use my own phraseology against me... .O.k  I can deal with that.

Let me see if I can reframe this matter, then?

I think that part of my point is that there is nothing wrong with brainstorming with others, and I believe that this forum can prove quite useful in that regard.

So each of us has differing strategies, but ultimately you have to find a strategy that is tailored for yourself, and there seems to be a lot that Hairy berry is not telling you.  Sure, he panic sold and panic bought at two points that he determined pretty decent odds of which direction the price was going.  His gut instincts seemed to have paid off pretty well, but the fact that he is using the term "panic" buy/sell shows that even he recognizes that he was having to pull some last ditch measures and to kind of change his plans along the way.  So there is a bit of devil in the details and gut reaction and gambling involved in such a strategy.

O..k.  Sure, the more experience you have buying and selling, then the more that you are going to be able to make those kinds of hairy berry plays, and from what I recall, Hairy was not even playing with all of his holdings, but instead a decent portion.. .maybe 30%-40% or something?  Maybe you can clarify this Hairy Berry... but anyhow, he is not playing balls to the walls, and he is also not outlining all of the factors that's triggering him to make his seat of the pants (panic) decision, which by pure definition seems to have been a bit unplanned, ballparking and maybe even throwing darts at a board... wholy shit, Hairy!!!!!!!   Tongue

Anyone thinking this is the top is in for a surprise.

because it was the top..

Bahahaha.  It’s still not the top !   Grin.

I'm trying to decide if you are one of the whales that knows things before they happen. Don't mind me.

Stop looking for a sorcerer, there are none.   Even the whales don't really know, even though they have better ability to know what they are going to do and what kind of effect what they are going to do might have on the price, but they do not know anything for sure, either.

On a personal level, you merely have to pee pare ur selfie for both directions.  HELROW???  And that should not involve setting up an auto-suicide machine.   Tongue Tongue Roll Eyes

<person>  seems to have a lot of anger, which is also inconsistent with someone who has truly invented a paradigm changing system....

Just as a question, why do you think that B follows A?

I am not trying to prove anything.  I am merely making a comment about the bullshit status of said scammer, craigwright.

It is not even worth discussing about Wright being a scammer in any kind of detail... His personality is not even close to consistent with the personality of Satoshi.

I don't have any kind of burden to show that Wright is not satoshi.. wright or any of his sycophants have the burden to show that he is, satoshi if that is what he or they want(s) to do.. ...

If Wright or his sycophants want to establish that Wright is satoshi, then we need solid evidence and logic to support such assertion, otherwise get the fuck out of here, because he is not .. he is just a scumball scammer, snake oil salesman, pretentious and pompous asshole... that seems fairly obvious from a large majority of his public appearances, and I could give a shit if he happens to be the nicest guy in the world in private, he has shown his low life status in a variety of public ways.
19104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 07, 2018, 04:50:40 AM
.. dumber things have happened in crypto than Craig Wright not being the last man standing of the 'supposed' satoshi group

I think it is very unlikely, but he is sure running up patent applications like he is Satoshi

Wright's whole scheming personality is no way parallel to the evidence of Satoshi's personality (whether Satoshi was an individual or a group).  In fact, Wright's patent troll behavior reflects the exact opposite of the spirit and intent of an innovator of an open source project, and earlier you had acknowledged that Wright seems to have a lot of anger, which is also inconsistent with someone who has truly invented a paradigm changing system....

I agree. But since Trump became president, bizarre possibilities haunt my existence.

PTTS

Post Traumatic Trump Syndrome. Yep, a bit more skittish about ‘what if’s’

Yep. It’s all in my mind! (Damn well better be...damn it!)

I agree that Trump represents an against all odds phenomenon, and against all odds phenomena happen from time to time, yet even conceding that against all odds events happen, it would be looney to plan our lives around such events.

Rather, to be more realistic and sane, we need to largely prepare our lives around more likely events.

You know the expression "hope for the best and prepare for the worst," right?  That does not mean that we only focus on the extreme possibilities, but we prepare our self for either extreme, even though the most likely outcome is going to be somewhere in the middle (even though we are prepared for a variety of possibilities), and also there are personal things that are somewhat under our control, but not everything either, so sometimes we also have to prepare for unexpected events that occur that our outside of our control - yet having said all of that the bulk of our preparations should still be to expect more likely outcomes, rather than less likely outcomes, even though from time to time, the more extreme outcomes happen, but even when the more extreme outcomes, happen, we do not throw the whole approach out the window, merely because some strange shit happened.

Alia, I suggest that you and Quickseller team up to start a new Reputation thread for the purpose of uncovering my alleged secret main account.  From 2011, according to Quickseller.  Hey, you even have some blockchain txids to trace now (hahahah!).

I suspect that your deceptive postings in this forum (or alternatively on the blockchain or alternatively some other random and irrelevant place) go back to 2010 or even early 2009.. and likely traceable on the blockchain in one way or another.

At this time, I have absolutely no evidence nor logic to support my suspicions or my feelings..   I know that should not matter and my current conception of this would be a good fit within the newly forming team alliances of Quickseller and alia... at least on "dream nullius" project.

Please don't associate me with QS... and yeah, it's hard to imagine that nully hasn't been here for many years

I'm thinking that you are on the right track:

19108  Economy / Reputation / Re: Can you still believe aTriz words? Reopened, too many open questions on: March 07, 2018, 12:32:28 AM
aTriz is a scammer. I have proof of him doing some very shady things, including extortion and bribery. Do not trust him.
Fuck you

I have done nothing of this scammy behavior that alia has said I have. She is trying to get me to admit to these things, simply because she has my personal information. My trust is everything and worth more than my privacy. Fuck you, do your worst.

I will answer any questions about this from anyone except quickseller, please re ask your questions since I can't find any right now.
In other words, you are unable or unwilling to answer tough questions, the answers to which may make you look bad.

This is especially interesting considering that some have accused you of either being an alt of, or being closely associated with shady people in the recent past. Who is to say you won’t answer a few questions from actual third parties, many from close (undisclosed in some instances) associates and claim that anyone asking difficult questions is my alt?

Actually, if aTriz says that he is willing to answer any questions from members besides you, then that is not really obstructing any kind of meaningful inquiry.  There are a lot of inquisitive persons here, and not all of them are your sock puppets, right?
No, none of them are. This fact will not prevent aTriz from answering questions from others under the guise of declining to answer questions from what he claims to be my sockpuppets.

I guess part of my implied point was that your further assertion regarding potential squirreliness of aTriz is premature because there is no real evidence yet that he is being squirrelly in any kind of meaningful way, at least not so far.

Furthermore, even though a lot of participants in these aTriz/alia relational threads seem to despise you in various ways, if you raise some arguably valid points, it seems that those points are not really ignored by others.. even if it might turn out an indirect way of the others not admitting that you may have raised the point(s) first...

Maybe try reading the OP of this thread, and then you should be able to figure it out.. .including a link in the first couple of sentences of the OP, perhaps?

then if Craig Wright really is Satoshi (or part of a group and he is only one alive) and gets access to billions on jan 1st 2020 from a trust, as he claims...

well, sh*t I just scared myself Sad Ack!

Sure, this is a speculation thread, but I don't see why you keep repeating this improbable nonsense that a person who is confirmed to be a scammer Craig Wright is going to have access to nearly 1 million bitcoins or some other proximate amount in early 2020, just because his lying ass makes such a FUD spreading proclamation.

You scare yourself with improbable pie in the sky fantasies, and then you feel some kind of need to share such nonsense with us?

Do you honestly think I give a shit ... you sniveling idiot? ... make sure you have your seatbelt on and all your Bitcoins bought...  "... before 5 March"  ...(yes this is you, punk!)

bought in at $11,600 on March 4th at 11pm est. good call thanks.

Yep.  You seemed to identified that PoolMinor has a past practice of saying a bunch of random unsubstantiated bullshit stuff with a seeming goal to be viewed as a bitcoin sorcerer.   He is not the only one, in this thread that has some kind of seeming psychological issue that they want to be right, and believe that there is some kind of value in that.

Surely, there is a chance that he could get his prediction correct, and then he would be puffing out his chest all over the place in this thread, and perhaps otherwise, attempting to get credit for his random luck (and maybe even trying to get gullible folks to pay him for such nonsense).

In 2011: moon at $10
In 2012: moon at $100

--this thread is made--

In 2013: moon at $1000
In 2014-17: moon at $10000
In 2018-20: moon at a million dollar (John laughs at those who didn't listen to him)

Now I'll come back to this thread in 2020.

Something is missing here, no?

We gotta moon at $100,000 before we are going to be able to moon at $1million...

Maybe Mr. MacFee is going to become, Ms.?
19115  Economy / Reputation / Re: Can you still believe aTriz words? Reopened, too many open questions on: March 06, 2018, 08:50:58 PM
I said I'd leave that account... -.-

If you don't have anything relevant or intelligent to say, then what is your purpose on this thread? Or on this planet?

What I am saying is very relevant, you should just fuck off..  would make this reputation board more readable for starters.

as for my presence on this planet? well there are many things you would not understand as you are a stupid child, but one of the great things Is I can basque in my bitcoin riches and point out what a stupid cunt you are..

I know that you are just referring to alia as a "child" as a kind of communicative effect, but many of us likely realize that there is a slim chance that alia is a child (whether 15, or 19 or even in her lower 20s), and whether she is a man or a woman  (a boy or a girl) does not matter too much, except for the statistical likelihood that she is probably a man rather than a woman, and likely someone who has a decent amount of time (whether a team or an individual) in the scheming and scamming scene.. so at least in her upper 20s, unless she started scheming as a teenager, and even teenagers should take a considerable number of years before there is any necessity to become so freakin ass jaded.

So, I do not necessarily conclude that alia is stupid, but likely does have various mental issues regarding the degree to which s/he/it pursues certain distracting, trolling, scheming, shilling agendas and has gotten into a life in which these activities are "normal" and a way to make money off of gullible others - and surely, there is some teaming up going on, and we cannot always know those various relationships when we do not have access to some of the background login information - ip addresses, etc.

I feel like I'm a new man now. So bless  Cheesy

Congrats, I don’t post much now, I like to be a creepy voyeur but I would like to rank up to Legendary soon.

Edit - When is the next Activity top up btw?

We know activity is updated every two weeks.  Last week activity was updated, so the next update of activity is next week (like Tuesday or Wednesday).

Tuesday March 13, 2018. I always put this link in my favourites to show me when periods starts
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA/htmlview?pli=1

Edit :
I can tell when my period starts when I start getting grouchy. Cheesy
Haha nice one Grin

I try to NOT be so formal about my period, but instead I try to be harmonized without writing it down.

Actually, i understand that the activity period remains more important as you rank up, but once you become legendary, it seems to be less important, even though I still do like to see my activity number growing - probably even if we try to NOT be conscious of the whole ranking process, there is something that makes us feel good to increase in rank, which is partly accounted through activity period, and now with the merit system...  For example, even though currently legendary members don't really need more merits because currently, there is no regular forum rank beyond legendary (apart from receiving some kind of special appointment by theymos), yet it still feels good to receive recognition for posts through the merit system.  Actually, when I first started giving out my smerits, I would give them out pretty generously based on already being familiar with some of the post history of other members or getting some kind of decent appreciation of a post of a new member.  Surely as time passes, all of us will likely become more discerning regarding how we dish out our smerits, and surely it may take some time for forum administration to really verify how it is playing out (or gamed) and various ways to tweak the whole merit system by also figuring out if some deserving members are not receiving merits because there are not enough merit sources or some other possible appropriate and reasonable tweaks to this new system of acquiring new kinds of points.

By the way, I am thinking that stevegee might be a relative of mine, perhaps a cousin 5 or 8 times removed.  Perhaps?
19117  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: March 06, 2018, 08:20:18 PM
once i received merit and my rank is upgraded if i send full/partial smerit to other will my rank downgrade are there any conditions on that
No you will no downgraded there i no conditions on this  Smiley

SMerit is used to reward other members, it could increase by half once you receive it from others and decrease when you sent it.
Merit doesn't decrease, it only increases so don't worry about it for the moment.

How do you give/award SMerit? Is it the +Merit button on each post? I'll still not 100% getting it tbh.

Yes, just click +Merit Button and chose how many sMerit you would like to give.
You do not lose Merit when giving sMerit.

Thanks for explaining I tested it out Smiley Or wasted some depending on which way you look at it.
I realise it said it on the next page about SMerit and had just never seen that page before  Wink
Thanks anyway, enjoy your well deserved 1 point of smerit.

Thank you. I will make good use of it awarding good posts Wink

I hope you do, better than me at least! I'm already feeling like I wasted that one on a medicore post, no offence.
Could of just done a bit more reading and learnt that. You were awarded it due to my stupidity and laziness.
I got rid of the rest as I realized I couldn't trusted with it.

That explains why sometimes the rich are more deserving than the poor.. hahahahahaha

O.k.  dragonvslinux, just go out there and attempt to make good quality posts, go to threads that are interesting to you, read through the thread, ask interesting questions and have fun by engaging in the forum, and little by little you will likely earn some merits, which will cause you to also have some smerits in your bank.

I know that forum policy does discourage hoarding of smerits, but perhaps you might want to attempt to earn something like 20 merits, and then you will have 10 smerits in your bank, and then whenever you earn more smerits, then spend them while attempting to maintain a 5-10 smerit reserve - each of us can create our own smerit banking policies in that regard (can you tell that I don't like the word, "hoarding", but instead prefer to refer to it as maintaining an smerit bank savings?).

My sell order at $11,700-ish was not triggered
Optimism is not your friend at this point.

Oh my Rosewater.... I hope you are not going down the pessimism road, again... so easily.

Bitcoin is in a great place in terms of price and overall dynamics, fundamentals and considering which scenarios are more likely and less likely, even if we experience a further price correction from here, we remain in a great place.

This should not b about me being optimistic or too optimistic.

Have you ever invested in an asset, such as bitcoin, that went up 20x in a year, and then corrected down 70% and still is floating pretty solidly at more than 10x from it's starting point from a year ago?

You are certainly a glass half-full kind of guy, if you cannot figure out some kind of way to at least not be so pessimistic, and getting upset if you believe that others (such as me) are too optimistic.

Further, you seem to have a bit of a desire that somehow either I am wrong in my strategy or my outlook or that I get hurt by my btc trading strategy, but my btc trading strategy prepares for either price direction.. of course, if prices go below $1k, I am not going to be very happy about that kind of a scenario, but I am still going to be o.k. financially, so it is really difficult to hurt me, when my btc portfolio is already set up and prepared for either BTC price direction and even more extreme scenarios than what we have already experienced.

Certainly suicide or any attempts at suicide should be considered a wee bit of an overreaction to this.
What if you're wrong?

It would be very difficult for me to be wrong on this suicide point, and if you are in a suicidal state then you have some real difficulties that are likely in need of more counsel than can be provided in a quasi-anonymous bitcoin talk thread, such as this one.

Either professional help would be good or maybe completely removing yourself from whatever toxic environment you happen to be in, and maybe getting back to nature or even finding some other reason to live (besides bitcoin if bitcoin what is causing you so much stress) - of course, if you were to have some kind of terminal health condition then that might be another story that is more suitable for hospice care specialist advice rather than counseling with bitcoin market pranksters that are found lurking in these kinds of BTC talk threads.

Hi,

does a Junior member have any chance to become merit sourcer? Of course, if he/she proves the skills for it

It is difficult to determine if you have any scintilla of seriousness in such a question.

Of course, theymos has discretion to determine the appointment of merit sources based on whatever criteria he believes is helpful to him, but he did provide a bit of guideline in the OP, and the most relevant sentence to your situation seems to be the interpretation of "somewhat established member."

Does anything else need to be said?

My question was serious
I couldn't interpret what 'somewhat established member' means

Ok.  I will admit that I provided a bit of a facetious answer to your inquiring post because I had thought that there would be a bit of common sense in theymos's description of "somewhat established member"..

Of course, the description is not precise, and therefore, it leaves theymos with a decent amount of discretion to determine when he were to come to the belief that a member is sufficiently "established" to meet his expectations.

Just think about the membership situation for a moment.  There are nearly 2 million accounts registered with the forum, and many accounts have been active for several years, but even if only 10% of the accounts are active, that still makes 200k active members from which theymos can choose sources, and there are a lot of members with a lot of experiences and participation in different sections on the forum.

So, a threshold question might be how the hell is theymos going to get to know you or to trust your judgement in any kind of way as a jr member, it is going to be through your posts and also with the passage of some time.

So, likely several hundred posts through a year would be a kind of minimum threshold, and since this new merit system has been established, probably theymos would want you to have received a decent number of merits, too... maybe nearly 100 as a minimum in order to rise to the level of "established".. so to me it had seemed like a bit of a silly question to be asking whether a Jr member would be considered by theymos to be "somewhat established" or to otherwise meet criteria to be designated as a merit source.

Hi,

does a Junior member have any chance to become merit sourcer? Of course, if he/she proves the skills for it

No you cannot become a merit source because:

1) You do not have the time to even read the official thread properly before commenting. I mean it is clearly mentioned that you need to be  "somewhat established" member here to be considered as the merit source. If you do not care about reading the official posts, why will you read the posts of other members to give them merits.

2) Another problem is that you have posted 69 posts here and have not got a single merit so far. This means that you are not able to make a quality post yourself. So how will you judge other members making such posts ?

I got already sufficient answears from well established members, please take the time to read above before posting more.
All replies helped me, no more needed, use your energy at another part of the forum. Thx

Your response here, sunriseme, also, might be another example why you might not be designated as a merit source at any time in the near future.  Sure, you might feel good and funny to tell off another member, such as solovev, yet in the end, your response does not reflect very well your ability to deal with adversity and criticism.  You can work on those kinds of skills and attempt to make better posts that are not so seemingly gratuitously snarky towards other members.  Sometimes, there is a role for snarky, but usually it is best to play that card somewhat sparingly for better effect and also so it does not reflect negatively on you.
19120  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Requirements too difficult to JR. Members on: March 06, 2018, 12:24:11 PM
Yes I really agree that MERIT requirements makes the life of all the low ranking members of this forum very difficult and it is a big DISCRIMINATION for low ranking members like us, MERIT REQUIREMENT is just being imposed for the benefits of those high ranking members such as those FEW LEGENDARY MEMBERS who don't want LOW RANKING MEMBERS to be promoted to a much higher rank, they don't want members on this FORUM earn HIGHER PAYMENT just like they do they just want to keep it by themselves! So for me all I can say is that this MERIT requirements is just being made for the benefits of the high ranking members only.

Let me break your misconceptions one by one:

1) You mentioned that high rank members had imposed the merit system. Reality is that the admin made this decision.

2) There is no discrimination with any member. I saw that the admin made a thread before implementing the merit system asking for suggestions from all members regarding how to remove spam from the forum. What more do you want ? I think less than 40-50 members responded there and you were not one of them.

3) These threads complaining about the merit system are allowed here (unlike lot of other forums) and he even made some changes to the merit system.

solovev,   do you have a link to the thread that was discussing ways to improve forum spam?

I looked before I posted this message, and I found this thread. I had not seen that thread previously.
