1922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [OFFICIAL] ALTS TO DA MOON THREAD on: November 28, 2013, 01:30:18 AM
I think DataCoin has a lot of potential to raise in the next weeks. The only altcoin that does something useful (storing data/files in blockchain). 99% of the altcoins just waste power.

XPM is scientific based. Gridcoin and Curecoin are for finding cures. DataCoin is a variant from XPM, just the added data piggyback feature, so DTC isn't the only useful coin.
1923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy user growth, Logout Issues Thread on: November 28, 2013, 01:20:12 AM
Keep saying security issue after I'm idle for a while and try to access my balance or a market, which it logs me out.
1924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2 LTC on: November 28, 2013, 01:18:04 AM
I would imagine it's hard to trade here with a scammer tag and 12 negatives. Goodluck and hope that you can clear the scammer tag off your username.
1925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How has litecoin gotten so overvalued? on: November 28, 2013, 12:52:45 AM
Don't over think it, just ride the wave and make your profit. Just like the stock market.
1926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CPR] | Copper Bars | Scrypt-Jane | GPU Efficiency JUST DROPPED on: November 28, 2013, 12:48:59 AM
Just curious why CPR isn't in the mix of the alt boom, since TIX is a variation of it....
1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [OFFICIAL] ALTS TO DA MOON THREAD on: November 28, 2013, 12:46:31 AM
I'm for PTS, XPM, FRK, DTC and FTC. I wish that GRC, CureCoin, and any other scientific coin that helps with humanity.
1928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Preview] Smelter - GPU miner for Quark-based coins on: November 28, 2013, 12:42:18 AM
nope solo only, which makes it almost worthless now, it was pretty good while the difficulty was low though.

J

That's kind of sucks. This can be adapted for a pool, if someone wanted to take that challenge on.

Does this work fine for a HD 5870? Does this work both for solo and pools?
1930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [No Coding!] Guide To Mining Protoshare With Windows Azure: Make $50 For Free! on: November 27, 2013, 08:35:39 PM
One correction. Make 50% more coins.

If you want to make 50% more coins use Ubuntu machines instead of Windows machines. Azure Windows machines are much more expensive for the same hardware. This is what I do myself.

If you found this helpful you can send part of your donations to PkJZUGQYxASg8h7hQ8gGAqs4Q4avTyg7q2

MS Azure is own by MS and offer Windows Server free. No performance difference between Linux or Windows, just the licensing cost.
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fontas - will he kill crypto-currencies? on: November 27, 2013, 06:03:16 AM
Yup, until FINCeN or some thing like that gets involved, then things will continue this way. Cryptocurrency is more of a unregulated version of the stock market, the stock market itself is fearful as is....
1932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenEx Coin Choose Poll on: November 27, 2013, 05:58:41 AM
Interesting that you want to show your complete name to everyone. Why does you name sound like a cross between Justin Bieber and a razor company, sounds a little iffy to me?

I asked about an opinion on it. It is a yes or no. Criticizing is not needed as we are deciding in community favor.

besides the fact that hes not even criticizing the question... just your name... lol

Exactly. lol

1934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Most profit CPU mined coin at the moment. on: November 27, 2013, 05:45:46 AM
So, this is a poll to see what everyone thinks is profitable to CPU mine. I know, all coins are technically profitable, but the ones that are GPU and ASIC resistant. Also, I meant "profitable", not profit on the subject line. It would be nice to explain why you believe a certain coin is profitable to CPU mine.
1935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can ASIC's be used to mine any coins other than Bitcoin? [ltc, wdc, etc.] on: November 27, 2013, 04:23:13 AM
Any SHA256 coin...
1936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any working BQC pool for mining~~ on: November 27, 2013, 03:58:05 AM
Or your other options is to solo mine. None of the working BQC have stratum also, they are all on getwork network.
1937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Think a new floor has been set on LTC? on: November 27, 2013, 01:43:10 AM
I think it wouldn't drop any lower than $12 to $15. It was eventual that LTC would finally keep up with the current market.
1938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TIX] Tickets | Now on Bter - BTC/LTC | First on Cryptsy XPM Market on: November 27, 2013, 01:40:19 AM
Is there any plans to update the wallet and/or the check point? I had to redirect my mining withdrawals to Cryptsy for temporary until I can trust using the wallet to deposit TIX in there.

Sure, it's just a display issue, though. The wallet still works just fine

Hmm. Just strange that the last two withdrawals from the pool isn't showing up, but if I point my withdrawals to Crypsty, it works fine.

1940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should have put money in Litecoin instead.... WTF is this s***!! on: November 27, 2013, 12:45:38 AM
Also I notice a trend, when the winter comes, people start heavily mining with GPU's at this time.

Good idea to warm up your house and not waste heat energy.

That's what exactly I'm doing right now....lol....GPU mining and CPU mining. Got 8 computers in my room on...lol....My electric heater is on the corner of my room collecting dust....lol

My bro has a tiny little box room and the radiator only half-works so we power up his xbox to heat it haha. Soon warms up.

Be careful when you power up that heater again. Dust can accumulate and set on fire. At the very least scorched/vaporized dust doesn't smell very nice.

I usually use the air compressor to clean it out before I use it. But at this rate of how GPU mining is profitable again, I won't be needing the heater for the rest of the winter...lmfao
