Maybe louder than the quietest airplane ever made. The S3 is probably the quietest miner yet built, with the possible exceptions of what, New R-Box and maybe Avalon4 in certain configurations? Leastways it's the quietest of the S-series and can be made almost silent.

this is very true lol

the S3 was extremely quiet.

I was very surprised a million years ago when i had a bunch of them Smiley

thanks!

Are these still going to be made?

I am wondering the same thing.   I was very excited to order these, and now we are way past the expected production date.  OP, please give us some more info.

I have on good authority, that these are still on track to be auctioned/made.

thanks!
1926  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 1oz .999 FINE SILVER "BITCOIN" ROUNDS on: November 15, 2016, 09:05:48 PM
Buck, did you "shop" those?  Looks awesome if so!   Cool

Looking forward to the display by BG4 and Og, I will be placing my order sometime this week - I'll be in touch.

Yea a quick and dirty photoshop Smiley
thanks!

Nice work on the Photoshop,.. when I thought of the idea , I had envisioned a bit more detail in artwork that would add to the coins, I like to make hybrid items from different makers to come up with something even better..

So with that, I wanted some area to add graphics and fonts ....that I'd the reason for the open areas

Well yea something like that would be even nicer looking, I would suggest whatever the final design that the front and back be viewable...i'm sure you take that into consideration anyway though Smiley

let me know if I can help in any way on the graphics.

What are you thinking about in terms of adding to the clear case slab design? something similar to the papersafe? could be very interesting indeed.
thanks!

~ 115 per card on R9 290x
~ 114 per card on R9 280x
~ 113 per card on 7970
~ 154 per card RX 480

All stock settings Smiley

Thanks!
Your 290x should be getting at least 130 or more.

let me revise that to say each card is in a 6 card rig not standalone.

also what are you doing to get the higher 15 h/s? i haven't touched any of the stock settings.

thanks!

************EDIT***********

I was looking at the wrong gpu's.... in that 5 card rig there are 5x r9 290x each doing between 144 - 151

thanks!

Since people have been asking ,

I have been working on a design for a 4 coin set slab that anyone can use including the fine silver BITCOIN rounds offered here... this is just a mock up and the 4 silver wallets are just being held in place with pressure .  But I would like to get some feed back as to what people want... I have some ideas with 3, 2 and single coin slabs also.

What would something like that cost?

can you fit 2 coins on top of each other so it looks like a square? secondly, is it wide enough to have them in a single row across?

Or can you place them anywhere you want and simply tighten to keep in place as in some examples below:

some thoughts:

thanks for info!

That is pretty much exactly the type of display case I was thinking of Smiley

Lucite clear on both sides, a nice piece...love it!

Does that case allow for the airtites to still hold the coins, or do they need to be removed to fit in the cutouts? (oh reading again, using pressure - if you could clarify that would be great)

How thick is the case, i see it free standing, just wondering on the topple factor.

funny I was talking to another member via PM about something just like that Smiley

Thanks!

I'm running Windows 10 on both my 6 and 7 card rigs and didn't need to do anything fancy. Just installed OS and latest drivers and start mining. Just works.

That guy spoiled my weekend Smiley
I will release new version in a few hours.

Awesome, looking forward to it.

Yea i usually don't have any issues, but the newer RX480 cards have been giving me some trouble, all the previous models work fine,

if the fix and the drivers don't solve it, i might switch them to a diff mobo, maybe the anniversary one and beef up the ram and cpu.

thanks!

If you are using all new risers and USB cables then check the cables, get some better quality ones. All the issues I've had previously with cards not being detected or causing problems was caused by crap cables that couldn't handle PCIe GEN2. alternatively, if you can with your board, try forcing the PCIe slots to GEN1, it can solve these problems too.

yea all my risers are top end and new, and tried to swap...so im thinking ill do the drivers, patch, and then try the gen 1, if all fails new mobo to rule everything out.

thanks!

Wow!! Congrats... they look great. Cheesy

Absolutely Beautiful!

Looking great! More silver coins, I like!  Smiley

Thanks!  I can't stop looking at them.  Shocked

I don't blame you Smiley

So as far as the pre-order is concerned, you know ther are some people interested in the set such as myself.

So i'm wondering what the best way to go about ordering would be... meaning obviously a PM to you for the set of the coins, but as far a display case, you mentioned it might be from a 3rd party and ordering would be through them?

Just want to make sure, as it would be nice to receive all 4 coins in the set in the display case, but if that isn't the way it will work , i would place the pre-order for just the coins.

Also were you able to get in touch about the display case and possible designs and cost? Would be nice to maybe have a type of case which is viewable from both sides -  front and back ...maybe from lucite or a similar material.

thanks!

I don't have this :  (especially if you have applied the 6 GPU fix).

do you have a link for it?

What's the concensus on the drivers for the RX480 Nitro?

Running on an asrock H81 Pro BTC mobo with 8GB ram and a basic Pentium Processor. Using all powered usb risers as in the rest of my rigs, with additional motherboard molex power standard.

All my other rigs are fine, keep getting that opencl hang error on the 480 rig though, and it only sees 5 of the 6 cards as well Sad

I think it updated to the latest drivers, and in global settings I see under the Opencl info, it has some weird characters...maybe an older version of the drivers?

any suggestions are welcome.

thanks!

Built a friend's rig with pretty much the same comp as yours. Windows 10 should see all those cards (especially if you have applied the 6 GPU fix).
No errors or any funnies. (running on latest drivers). What version of windows are you using?

I love it Smiley

I will PM you to make an order for the set, I hope that a display case can be made for these to show off!

thanks!

For everyone who is complaining about electricity watch this. This is how power consumption was back during the Litecoin days with Scrypt.

350Watts per 280X at the wall. And you guys are complaing about 100Watts or so. So spoiled kids these days.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUvUmo8dBmU

Yeah, my 7x 7970 rigs were brutal when mining scrypt. Don't miss those days at all.

All of those GPUs survived thanks to heavy undervolting, and are still mining to this day.

So true Smiley

I am still mining with my original 6x R9 290X reference cards lol

thansk!
