1921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What's next after eth mining on: May 24, 2022, 05:29:14 AM
It's not funny at all, I am in the right state of mind because I have once witnessed how cruel mining reward can be in a bear market, those who haven't seen this before have no idea what is coming, many long time mining dream will turn into selling the GPUs and leave.
It will essentially be a 'reset' back to 2019 conditions, where small coins like GRIN or RVN dominated GPU mining. I built a GTX 1060 rig for $140 per card, made $0.70/day of revenue mining GRIN, paid $0.25 for power cost, and saved the remaining $0.45. In 2 years, not only did I pay back the video cards 2-3x, but I sold them for $330 each.

However we'll be left in a complete world of uncertainty once ETH dies. We will only have FIRO, FLUX, ERG etc. left. There is no guarantee that any of these coins will become as big as ETH in market cap. But I will keep mining & HODLing in the hopes of another GPU boom.
It's exactly what I have in mind too but ETH leaving the band is not so good, if graphic cards like 3060 and 3070 can go as low as their MSRP then I will buy more, something fresh will come up, and new opportunities will arise, hopefully 🙏.

You need to understand that what profits a certain coin makes now, doesn’t mean the profits will be the same in the future if everyone starts to mine that coin. Even if the price stays the same.

The supply is capped. ETH goes POS all miners will mine whatever is available and everyone will get a thinner slice of the pie.

Wonder how chaotic bitcointalk mining section will be in August.

1923  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Phones on mobile wallet becoming riskier on: May 23, 2022, 12:54:48 PM
Phone mobile wallet is prone to alot of risk, due to Lost of phone,Robbery attack ,phone hacking, easy access to phone by friends and close once all in the name of using your phone, phone damages and forgotten passwords,it also has it advantage for effective monitoring of your accounts and market rates ,for fast easy transactions anywhere.
A crypto investor who uses mobile phone to store coins shouldn't allow any one to access their phone, talking about close friends in this case is stupid, I use mobile wallets and I have never allowed my friends to operate my phone for any reasons, lost of phone is possible and robbery attack is a valid point but if you copy down your recovery seed at home in a safe location you can move your coins easily.
1924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where do you see gaming tokens in 5 years from now? on: May 23, 2022, 12:35:18 PM
I won't expect much, we have seen how axie infinity ends up, it will get to the point where the project won't be profitable anymore, there is one thing that makes all these projects the same thing, and that's early investors are always the winner.
1925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will LUNA's downfall scare away investors from the crypto market? on: May 23, 2022, 12:31:03 PM
Never, there have been more scary cases in crypto history than that of Luna crash and moreover, ask yourself why people are still investing even after the crash, as you can see people are already accepting the risky part of the crypto investment as a normal thing.

1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Basic mining rig on: May 04, 2022, 09:48:46 AM
It's not about the memory type( gddr5 or gddr6 ) it's about the size of the gpu memory, 2GB memory can even mine any shitcoins mate you will be literally wasting your time, get a rx580 8gb on the market, you can even buy used one if money is the problem.
1928  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Annonomous transfer between exchanges help on: May 03, 2022, 06:50:57 PM
I would be using binance.

Can the ip be tracked directly to me through the ISP? Or just the location I am in? How else can I do this without my wife finding out
Binance of all exchanges? 😂😂 are you on weed or something? That's one is the most secured exchange of all, the way they handle things are top notch, you will have to face some pressure if you use a VPN with Binance because they will block you and tell you to identify yourself at one point and believe me you aren't going to like it.
1929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 6800 XT vs 3070 TI on: May 03, 2022, 04:45:12 PM
@Samaritanman do not buy the RTX 3070 Ti if you haven't got it already, that GPU will give you a headache later because they have high mem temp issue, if you aren't ready to spend money on high grade thermal pads do not buy it, LHR cards are good but choose them wisely, if I am in your shoe right now if prepare for mining without ETH because sooner or later ETH will be gone, go for 3060 and 3070 without the Ti.
1930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: rig build on: May 02, 2022, 10:04:29 AM
That's a LGA1155 motherboard B250C I guess and it supports 12 graphic cards, you will only need to plug in your risers USB cable without the PCIe x1 adapter, its a pretty good and cheaper motherboard for mining but since you talking about LGA1200.
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: rig build on: May 02, 2022, 09:45:53 AM
You will be running some higher-end graphic cards mate, they need a stable power supply or you will put them at risk, fins Corsair, Evga or OCZ power supply, I have killed a GPU with a Chinese 1200 watt PSU before, do not repeat the same mistake.

PSU is the last thing you don't want to cheap out on

i think its cheap coz its a non-modular PSU, but ok what the hell ... ill go with the more expensive:
FSP Hydro G Pro HG2-1000 which am using right now and i love it !...

will 2x of these be enough ?!

i calculated 300w per 3090/3080 Ti (4 cards x 300w = 1200w)
and 200w for the 3070 Ti total 1400 W !

thanks for the advise...
If you are sure about the quality assurance of this Hydro G Pro PSU then proceed, its just funny that I am hearing the name for the first time but there is always a first time for everything, you will need to either buy a Add2PSU to use two 1000 watt power supply or go the old version way ( paper clip ).
1932  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is the new HOME on: May 01, 2022, 05:26:46 PM
There was this black man on youtube that warned investors to buy just 10$ of bitcoin in 2020 saying this will worth a lot in future, that was when covid 19 was kicking asses all over the world, you can't ever go wrong investing money on Bitcoin.
1933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Noob Was Asked to Build and Maintain a $100k Rig on: April 30, 2022, 03:44:52 PM
I use a B250C motherboard and I can vouch for this motherboard, it supports 12 graphic cards like a piece of cake in a manner of plug and play, get a server power supply they are more accurate, I don't like 3080s because of high temp in today's weather, they aren't very friendly with heat, can you look into A2000 graphic card if you can get these at good price go for tbem.
1934  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Concern on time spent my phone & pc due to crypto and btt, is this good or bad? on: April 30, 2022, 03:38:21 PM
Newer smartphones of today come with eye care features like reading mode that somehow reduce the strain on the eye when looking at your screen for a long period of time, you can find these features in the quick menu on android phones, mine has it and it's an android 12.
1935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / I found new POW coin on: April 29, 2022, 05:29:46 PM
Guys is seasonal token a good proof of work to mine? Cyclical trading seem like something new as per what the project is trying to do, have anyone check out this project or already mining it? Numbers of miners are still very small but holders are growing fast.

1936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coins made you 100x returns in last 6 years ? on: April 29, 2022, 05:24:00 PM
I missed such opportunity twice, I used to have 200,000 HEX and what people keep saying about the project got to me, I sold and walk away at a little profit just look how big this project is today, if I have held on to this number of HEX today I would have made a lot of money, the second project was bancor network, I got it at very cheaper rate too, holders are always the biggest winners in crypto space.
1937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: S9 T9 mods for equihash on: April 25, 2022, 02:56:30 PM
S9 Antminers are Bitcoin miners its not possible to mod them to start mining the Ethash algorithm, where did you get this fake information from? If you still have the link kindly share us and let's read, this will never happen, do not hesitate to proof me wrong.
1938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some projects which can grow bigger in the next few years on: April 25, 2022, 02:52:38 PM
maybe what you are looking for is a large project that has not yet unleashed its true potential at this time. well, I might think of alternatives to ethereum, like BNB, MATIC, SOL, and coins that have such a function. however, nowadays, the coins also have a pretty good function, and the price isn't that high. so having some of those coins right now, maybe in 2025 or 2026 the price is quite high. personally, I'm currently focusing on BNB.
The problem is smart contract projects are growing in numbers, we have Tron, ETH, BNB, MAtic, Solana, Terra Luna, and many more, all these projects are called gems but why do we need more? The answer isn't more and more smart contract projects but other use cases that aren't smart contract project.
1939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of coin or token will be chosen and survive? on: April 24, 2022, 06:11:52 PM
If you have no interest in top crypto projects my advice is to focus on making profits out of new projects only, erase the idea of holding for years because ma y altcoins won't be around in next two to three years later, its also unpredictable which token or coin will for long, do some research and invest money that you are ready to lose.
1940  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 6 real-life lessons I learnt from Bitcoin (No 6 will amaze you👇) on: April 24, 2022, 05:38:41 PM
I had my chances as well but all in the name of survival I have to sell my coins and tokens and I never regret it, now things are better and I am able to hold coins in peace, one thing I've learnt is always use only what you can afford for crypto investment and make sure you have other source of income ( job or business ).
