The cryptocurrency market in Bolivia is experiencing hard times, though the crisis is probably not going to last forever and sooner or later the market in the country will rise like a phoenix.

The government is now trying to not only  ban the use of cryptocurrency but to persecute any promotion of it with any means. They even arrested some people that were talking about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on social networks.

Emirates Islamic will become the first Islamic bank in the UAE to integrate Blockchain technology into its cheques.

The decision was announced to be an effective banking transactions security improvement and fraud prevention measure. According to a report, Emirates Islamic will issue new cheque books, termed ‘Cheque Chain’, carrying a unique QR-code on every leaf, along with a string of 20 random characters. The bank plans to have each cheque leaf registered on the Bank’s blockchain platform, enabling it to validate the authenticity of the cheque at the source.

The Russian authorities are still exploring ways to regulate cryptocurrency transactions before making a draft of the new law for digital currency circulation. The latest proposal from the Russian Ministry of Finance states that digital currencies could be recognized as a commodity with the appropriate taxes and face obligatory customer identification.

Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseev stated:

“Now there are different legal concepts of how to determine Bitcoin. We consider the definition of bitcoin as "other property”.”

According to a report by the Financial Times, the number of advertisements of vacancies related to the Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies exceeded one thousand. Moreover, this number continues growing by 40% each quarter.

In the previous article about Bitcoin price trends at Coinidol.com, the experts predicted that the price of Bitcoin could hit $3,000 by the end of December 2017.

However, on June 6, the Bitcoin price hit an all-time high of $2,987. Almost $3 k per BTC. But then, the price fell down and now moves around $2,830-2,850.

Russia’s largest bank, Sberbank, and steel and mining company "Severstal" have successfully used Blockchain technology to conduct international letter of credit transactions.

One of the Belarusian counterparties of PAO Severstal and Sberbank had already tested the issuance of an international letter of credit under a contract for the supply of steel. Sberbank announced the result of their first test of international letter of credit transactions using blockchain technology at the XXI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum last week, noting that this is the first of its kind Blockchain-based transaction in Eastern Europe.

The Financial Committee of the Ukrainian government has published a draft law that suggests changing the regulation of money transfers, including cryptocurrencies.

According to a report by local news media, the draft of law No. 5361 significantly changes the approach to the questions of digital currency issuing and circulation, in particular, it proposes allowing the release of digital money not only to banks, but also to other financial institutions that have licenses.

The Toyota Research Institute has announced it has partnered with MIT Media lab to explore Blockchain technology and the possibilities of using its advantages for self-driving cars.

According to a report, the wholly owned unit of Toyota Motors North America has also teamed up with Bigchain DB company, which is building the database, Oaken Innovations, the company developing an application for car-sharing and payments, and the Commuterz startup, that is creating car-pooling, on a new Blockchain project for driverless cars.
