I suppose if someone would be able to find the number of abuses committed by imams, it might equal those by priests. Or even exceed them.

The crimes committed by the Muslim clerics are seldom reported, because of their powerful position in the society. A few years back, there was an incident in my hometown, when a madrassa (Muslim religious school) teacher sexually abused 40 or 50 of his students (both male and female, most of them below 10 years of age). The incident was quickly hushed up, and the teacher was transferred to another madrassa.
19302  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vatican police 'break up gay orgy' at home of one of Pope Francis' advisors on: July 08, 2017, 04:36:26 AM
Just shows the hypocrisy of these clerics. It seems the problem with sexual abuse is deep-seated, and it's not helping that those tasked to tackle it are sort of very sexually active themselves. I wonder why there was a raid though. Is orgies illegal in the Vatican? I believe it's not illegal in Italy, though I suppose the law in the Vatican is different, like how you can get arrested for pre-marital sex in Arabia.

I don't think that the laws in Vatican are as retrograde as those in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Either minors were involved in this orgy, or the neighbors were complaining about all the noise and disturbance.
19303  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you hate christians? on: July 08, 2017, 04:33:59 AM
If so, why?

Yup... a lot of Christians have told me that I will go to hell if I don't adhere to Christianity (I don't believe in god, but I identify myself as a Hindu). I have faced a lot of discrimination from the Christians, despite living in an overwhelmingly Hindu-majority nation. These people are forcibly converting poor Hindus by threatening to throw their children out of schools if they don't convert (most of the schools in my area are run by the churches).
19304  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you feel about the death penalty? on: July 08, 2017, 04:28:56 AM
Hi I'm  speaking from Philippines..
Here in Philippines death penalty is still not approve for some reasons, human rights and the church. Yes it is in the bible that we shall not kill, but how about the criminal itself?? Alot of crimes are linking to drugs which is the primary issue here. That addict can influence and another person, why not try to get rid the virus before it spreads?? I believe that it is the best thing to do, but also if we implement this law, we should look after the proper guidelines in dealing on it.

The church in the Philippines is by and large playing a largely negative role nowadays. They opposed the anti-drugs campaign by Duterte. They are opposed to family planning, and now they are opposed to death penalty. The ordinary citizens should tell the church to refrain from interfering in the government.
19305  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mosul: The last days of the shrinking Isis enclave in the Old City on: July 08, 2017, 04:27:10 AM
I wouldn't say I would be that glad yet. They simply are moving out and will just spread terror elsewhere. As ISIS loses ground in Iraq, we can expect their members to go home and try to replicate what they did.

By the looks of it, they are moving to Southeast Asia, a region that have groups fighting for the establishment of a caliphate decades before the rise of ISIS. As what has happened in the Philippines, there are foreign fighters joining the local terror groups (list of those found dead by the Philippine army included a Chechen, and some Arabs and Yemeni).

Once established in the region, they'll be harder to root out because the terrain (maritime Southeast Asia is archipelagic and with a lot of places still a tangled mess of jungles). Southeast Asian governments would have to deal with these themselves, their countries are not oil-rich enough for Americans and Europeans to worry about them. Australians would be worrying about this on their own, they're the only Western country nearby, can't imagine NATO getting into this. The Chinese would also be cautious, trying to avoid an Islamist uprising in their own backyard.

Huge numbers of Uighurs and Hui from China has joined the ISIS, and they are definitely concerned about this. Neither the western nations, nor China want the ISIS to establish itself in the Southeast Asia region.
19306  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A ringing slap in the face to Putin from Trump on: July 07, 2017, 05:05:28 PM
I wonder why your stats over the year 2013? You see what is happening now. But even in this example you can see that the aggressive policy of Putin failed. He had stolen money for a comfortable life of his descendants and is now probably looking for ways to escape, and will pay for all ordinary citizens.

There was a slight dip after 2014, but even now the average Russian enjoys a very high standard of living compared to those in the neighboring nations such as Ukraine. This is evident from the fact that some 3.5 million Ukrainians work in Russia.
19307  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do You Think The War in Philippines. on: July 07, 2017, 05:02:21 PM
These terrorists are way beyond religion.

Yeah sure... you can claim that the Abu Sayyaf and the Maute are staunchly secular groups. You can even claim that the ISIS has nothing to do with Islam. Or even better, you can claim that the ISIS is originally a Jewish conspiracy to tarnish the reputation of Islam.

Last month's Allah Akbar count disagrees with you.

Injured    1382
Suicide Blasts    34

Good. Seems like Islam is the perfect solution for the over-population crisis. But unfortunately, the Muslim nations have some of the highest birth rates in the planet. That is the reason why their numbers keep increasing despite all these deaths.
This situation can become really a significant problem. Muslims have begun the colonization of Europe in the future we can see how they will be forcibly Islamize Europe. I don't want to live up to this time.

Yeah... Europe is rapidly transforming itself into Eurabia. Fortunately, the Eastern European states have till now escaped this invasion. There are very few Muslims in countries such as Poland, Czechia, Hungary and Slovakia. But worryingly a lot of young women from these countries are marrying Muslim men in nations such as the UK and Germany.
19309  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of North Korea? on: July 07, 2017, 04:56:24 PM
North Korea just launched its Ballistic Missile. Should the world be alarmed?

At least a dozen other nations have ballistic missiles, including the United States, Russia and China. So what is your point? Yes, we should be alarmed about the destructive power of these missiles, but North Korea is not the only country which is possessing them.
People don't understand what a nuclear weapon. To build a rocket that is not enough. You need to have a guidance system, storage of nuclear warheads. Rocket fuel is also of great importance. North Korea is a backward country so I doubt that it can pose a significant danger.

They have already developed nuclear weapons and multiple nuclear tests have been conducted successfully. They even claims to have manufactured Hydrogen bombs. I would rather blame the Americans for this sad state of affairs. Without the American aggression, they (the DPRK) would have never prioritized the manufacturing of nukes.
19310  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are rich countries rich and poor countries poor? on: July 07, 2017, 04:10:58 PM
Even if they do not take taxes generally people will not go to Arab countries. This is not only dangerous but just such a trip will not bring any pleasure. Soon they face problems because the oil is not needed, and most of them have nothing to offer.

Tourists may still visit countries such as the United Arab Emirates. Electronics and gold are extremely cheap there. And you will get quality products as well. And regarding jobs, the salaries may not be as high as those in the US/EU. But they are much higher than the average South Asian wages.

i dont hate all muslim that not doing terrors.

OK.. fair enough. Now tell me how are you going to distinguish those Muslims who commit terrorist attacks from the others. It is impossible to differentiate them. They can be educated or uneducated. They can be male or female. They can be children or elderly. How will you identify them?

This whole situation reminds me of the circus. The first in the world, the US army, the first army in Europe, Turkey, the Russian army (also not the last in the world) the rest I don't even consider. All this Armada can't handle a bunch of bandits ISIS (even assuming that a lot of them). I don't believe it. Everyone wants instability in Syria and so long as ISIS is not threatened.

There are only a few hundred Russian and American soldiers present in Syria, compared to around 40,000 ISIS militants (at least half of whom are foreign fighters). It is the local soldiers (Iraqi, Syrian, and Kurdish) who are doing most of the fighting against the ISIS.
19315  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Religion is like a Penis on: July 07, 2017, 03:33:28 PM
Completely agree with the OP. Nowadays, there is a lot of religious fanaticism around the world. Brainwashing is everywhere and the two major religions (Christianity and Islam) are fighting among themselves to convert the maximum number of people. There is religious intolerance everywhere.
The key phrase in your post is "brainwashing". If the person is sensible to brainwash useless. I know one way or the brains of a person or not. For me, all people who believe in God simply do not have brains. It does not matter what religion they believe in.

It is even worse, if these people are ready to kill others for their imaginary god. I don't believe in god, although I don't have anything against people who do so. But killing and kidnapping in the name of god is unjustifiable.
19316  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you trust the United States of America? on: July 07, 2017, 03:25:09 PM
Relations between countries cannot be built on trust. Life is constantly changing conditions. Today, one President, and another tomorrow. Today some priorities, and the other tomorrow. Each country should proceed from its own interests. And there is nothing wrong.

Despite the change in the presidents, the foreign policy of the United States is not going to change. Look at the foreign policies of Obama and compare those under Trump. The only difference is that Trump is a bit more aggressive.
19317  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: July 07, 2017, 03:23:13 PM
That is what I'm afraid of. That's why I'm saying that 6 years in not enough for President Duterte to stop the drug menace. And I hope that during his 6 years tenure, he can someone limit the proliferation in Philippines. And the next administration should continue what have he started. Well its still far though, Duterte has been in the office for 1 year and a lot can happen in the next years of his administration.

Drug cartels are not formed overnight (unless two smaller cartels merge to form a bigger one). It takes decades to organize a drug business. So if Duterte exterminates the drug cartels, then the Philippines will remain drug-free for the next few decades.

What is the problem with these cops? If they were enjoying gay sex, then let them enjoy it. I don't have a problem with them sodomizing each other as long as they are not raping anyone. If the sex was consensual, then what is the role of the cops?
19319  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: July 07, 2017, 10:14:02 AM
Taxation is a theft if the collected taxes are not using it for the good of the people. Taxation is good if the stakeholders are getting benefits from it.

That's like saying that rape is good if the woman has an orgasm.

Can't put it any better than this. IMO, taxation should be decentralized. In a village, the inhabitants would have a referendum, to decide whether they want taxes or not. If they decides against the tax, then the infrastructural projects can be given to private companies. For example, you can ask someone to build a road. In return, he will be allowed to levy a toll for the first 10 years from the users.
19320  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you hate muslems? on: July 07, 2017, 10:10:39 AM
I don't understand why do we need to hate muslim's? Is it because of their religion or kind of their lifestyle? For me i like them Some muslim's are good, they are kind , and also they are people like us ,so don't hate them. Especially if they do not do anything wrong with you.

because ,

liers and haters like popcorn1 and Spendulus are causing hateric feelings by people .... they dont want peace, they wants just what suits them.

If you don't like popcorn and Spendulus, then debate against them using civil language. Name calling and showering insults is not going to work here. First you need to realize that nothing is above criticism, including Islam and Prophet Mohammed. The best thing to do would be to listen to the criticism and then reform your beliefs.
