RVN is up to 2.4 cents  I have 5200 = 125 usd

BIS is down to 1.22     I have 200    = 244 usd

BTG is down to 27.98   I have 6      = 180 usd

those are all long term hodl coins   and they are all full profit  IE I sold enough that power was paid for.

6x 1080ti on BTG for now.

6x 1080ti on x16r and or ETH

and some solo mining

http://solo.ckpool.org/users/1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje

along with some mining on:

 ckpool
mmpool
bravo-mining
solo ltc
viabtc

but no where near last dec/jan levels

about 6.5kwatts  in power at 3 locations

buddies office
solar array
my garage

I was over 30kwatts in DEC and  JAN

so you are in a dorm with free power and you are buying a really loud unit.

get your self an avalon 841  set it to a lower speed.  it will run quietly  and pull under 1200 watts

read this review

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3375954.0

these are good sellers.

https://www.blokforge.com/

and you get a longer warranty.

you are much better off with this unit.

mostly as it is easy to get it to run at a lower fan speed.

it costs more but the warranty is much much much better.

here is one of my actual  computer shop in while in the navy.

the guy in the photo is one of the DS  it repair techs

this photo is circa 1978

Did you ever get to play the multi-player "star trek" game the NTDS systems had?

No  did not get to  play much with games on it.

I did load 1000's and 1000's and 1000's of key punch cards on  that card reader.

Best  shift was 11 pm to 7 am.   We did a long printout it took 3 hours to print.  You could pull a chair up to the printer put the cover down and take a nap while it printed.  If it jammed it would stop and you would wake up and fix the jam.  If it finished the job it would stop you would wake up and take the 3000 page print out  get it ready to distribute the next morning.  The computer shop  had multiple locks as it was a secure room.

So I would basically get to take a 3 hour nap every night I worked.  I would knock off work at 7am get some breakfast in the ships galley and take a bus to the beach.  Sleep a few more hours while getting a nice tan and then come back to the ship at 4pm  hang out with my buddies and go to work at 11pm.  Since my ship was a repair ship we would stay docked more then we sailed.  I got to do that routine above for about 13 months in a row while at San Diego.

zcash difficulty is now back up.  this is not ideal for me.

Try btg I have being doing okay with 1080tis

did btg fork off the z9 asics?

yep  you need the new ebwf to mine it

I am making close to 2 bucks a card each day.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-gold/

it is at 32 usd  was over 33  early today

has an upside  if they stick to fork policy
thanks id like to get my Nvida rigs off eth , btg seems like an option with thier fork

I have a simple mining    using ebwf 3

miner --server us-east.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com --user philipma1957.ira2 --pass 1 --port 20595 --algo 144_5 --pers BgoldPoW

I use my trezor to make a btg address

ARGBeXzU8WkTZSNtMx8rg6PAHLAf6LmR9u

https://btgexplorer.com/address/ARGBeXzU8WkTZSNtMx8rg6PAHLAf6LmR9u

and 6 1080ti's  are doing a coin every 3 or 4 days

Thanks,

If you don't mind I plan to link your post on voltage adjustments in the second post. I'm just waiting on a little more information so people aren't just blindly playing around with the settings.

Thanks for those tests by the way, otherwise I wouldn't be running mine at the moment.

They have helped a lot of people .

I have to say mine have run in the solar  array with air cooling and outside temps of 97f

They can survive the heat pretty well

Nice job of troubleshooting.
19387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 30, 2018, 03:57:51 AM
There is not V7.

What is called V7 is monero variant 7 of cryptonight.

Their claimed numbers are for the current monero variant of CN.

Yeah that is yet another reason I purchase two and a x2g nest and not four with two x2g nests.

The new miners asic  for cryptonight monero will make the monero boost on this card a feature not to use.

No matter how you named... still not get answer - does it work with new release on cryptonight "V7" or not?

I am pretty sure that it does not  mine on the new fork.  Which is why it is less attractive to me to buy a lot of them.

I mine forked  Monero7
I mine forked BTG  on equihash 144.5

as far as I know this will not help either one>

It will help x16R  which I also mine

What hash rate do you get on your 1080tis mining BTG? Haven't followed BTG or equihash in a while and it seems like i can't find any benchmarks for 1080tis and "zhash."

Currently contemplating on whether or not to sell my 1080tis or just keep mining. They are ROI-ed and paid for but it seems like an instant $500 for each 1080ti sounds like a good option to start considering as well.

I earn 1 coin about every 3 days.

Gear is paid for and power deal is split the coins.  So I get a coin for me every six days. That is 60 coins in a year or 2k. I could sell the six cards but it would piss off my buddy as they heat his office .

His place is over ac in summer and no heat in winter.  His power is free.  So he would expect me to replace the gear.  I guess I will leave them alone.  As for hash rate on the 144.5 algo I want to say 50-52
So six cards do 300-312sols for btg.

Coin may comeback as they did fork once and promise to fork again if need be.

I want to mine this coin till I get to 100 of them.

I mine on simple mining use ewbf 3 or 4

Since gear is in my buddies office I like simple mining.

I route these to my trezor from miningpoolhub. Which is where I mine the coin
19390  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolin Whatsminer M10 - 33TH at 2145W on: July 30, 2018, 12:50:41 AM
I figured once they started working with 16nm, Pangolinminer would come up with something decent. I never had
any issues with my M3's, and Pangolinminer was easy to deal with. Still a breath of fresh air, to have another company
in this market.

@HagssFIN and philipma

Looking forward to seeing you guys in action again!!! Keep up the great work fellas!!!

Will be nice to test this one out.  under 70 watts a th  will be something if it does it.

Back in 2012

500 watts a gh  or 500,000 watts a th  this was with gpu mining my 7970's  used about 170watts and did 333mh under clocked.
19391  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolin Whatsminer M10 - 33TH at 2145W on: July 29, 2018, 11:01:11 PM
Pangolin is the manufacturer or a reseller?

Try shooting HagssFin a pm he would know more then me.

Last dec he set the Demos up.  I did the YouTube videos and he did the write up on the M3.

We each got a demo machine.  We paid for them they were sent early at a very small discount to us.  But that was when Btc was to the moon 19900 usd if I recall

With                :  "? for Wednesday "

And                 :  "Triples for Thursday"
Followed BY     : "Four for Friday"

19396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 29, 2018, 04:18:31 PM
I have to admit that those new "ventures" like Squirrels Research Lab and even Mineority are very disorganized and inefficient. I am sure that others would say that this is all crypto etc but no "normal" company will be able to be successful doing things this way. It is time for all of them to be more like (HORROR!) Bitmain

Give them a chance, there is good people behind this project, dont shoot it down before its launched, come august and ppl dont get their stuff shipped then you can start.
Start up hickups is to be expected also outside crypto.
If you dont want shit to end bad, then chill down, and wait.
Its simple if you keep telling good ppl they are bad, they might some day go bad, since "everyone" says they are bad anyway.

And for comparing this project to bitmain, shame on you..

I purchased mainly due to the gift of the ETH pill.

As. The six 1080tis  Mining ETH are now like nine of them
19397  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolin Whatsminer M10 - 33TH at 2145W on: July 29, 2018, 12:46:12 PM
We've never had a request for a whatsminer. Personally I don't know much about them. Pangolin is the place though? Reputable? We'll want to list the M10 probably wait another month on the altcoin asic. Nov is so far off in this world.

We're just very confused as Pangolin hasn't responded to us at all.

They are not ready as of now.  So they may not have wanted to list with you at this time.

I am holding 5200 rvn. Which is somewhat like 100 usd.

Maybe I should mine some more.

Ive been thinking about it... but;  I think ill just sit on my ~1024 coins and hope for a 15,000+ satoshi value someday.   It was only a few weeks of mining with gear that was already paid for and on free power;  so I'm in no rush to sell my RVN.....  The buy support on RVN is there for the most part... just not the volume.

I have most of my gamble in ~1.5% of a smaller coin's supply.   It used to sell from 10K satoshi to 35K satoshi back when I first did short trading with it....    so hopefully when the coin's project blooms... good news for me... even if it goes back to the 15K satoshi range;  that's massive profits and coinage to do much more with....

I sold 6500 rvn when it was over 2.2 cents  it is now 1.89 cents

The 5200rvn is all profit so I can hodl as long as I want.

Same with BIS I mined 300 coins of it and sold 100 of them.
the 200 I hodl is all profit.  I have them for sale at 9 and 18 dollars  I think BIS is at 1.24 dollar right now.

Lastly I have BTG  I am up to 5.75 of them

MY new move is mine  6x 1080ti's on Eth with the pill  and convert to btc then Hodl
and mine BTG with 6 x 1080 ti's and Hodl.

of course mine some BTC on ck's pool and Hodl

my earnings are under 1000 usd a month.  no where near last years numbers.
19399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Maximum temperature can be on the chips Z9 mini? on: July 29, 2018, 11:55:11 AM
Who can say what the maximum temperature can be on the chips Z9 mini? I have now 64-69 degrees. What should be the acceptable temperature limit without risk to the device?

most likely 75c or less.

s9's  can run at 75c for long periods of time.

and they have a shut down option at 80 to 85 c

My guess is with the low power use on the z9 you should not be afraid to use it.

Disabling SLI solves the issue, but keeps my frigging SLI disabled.

Contacted NH on Facebook and they don't seem to be responsive or attentive at all.

they are really big and simply don't care about the issue.  you use your pc as a gamer  you have 1 rig  so you are small.

See if there is an easy way to toggle  SLI on and off.
