Smiley
1942  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: August 29, 2018, 08:29:10 AM
Weekly update. The analysis has detected the new merit source - criptix.

Wow i'm in this list!
I dont care of this,i'll give merits because is correct way to use merit system

I hope we can fight.the spam with this feature

Your current indicator "Generosity" is 127 and you are rated 151st already. I know that you have applied to become a merit source in the italian local board. As I can see, Micio and redsn0w distribute merits in this section. In any case, I wish you good luck.
1943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There are too many new Token, new project on: August 28, 2018, 10:22:37 AM
join one of the existing projects and better improve the quality of the project you follow.
That's why you need to analyze it first because everyday there's new coming token and project. That's why you need to study and check all the details about it before you choose it. And it's better if you know very well the token or project, so you will know if its have potential or not then it will help you to know if you you have skill how to choose the good or best token and project.

This is correct. Analyze the token you want to invest in. Be informed whether the team and their project is reliable or not.

But what does "too many" mean? Maybe the current count of ICOs is "too low"? Moreover, I guess that we will see more different ICOs in the future. This is a normal thing. I suppose that the entire crypto exchange market of altcoins will be more segmented than today.
1944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will never join AirDrop programs any more on: August 28, 2018, 09:51:35 AM
There's a rule in airdrops. They want to use you and never pay you
So, if you know already 90% of ICOs are scams and from all of these scams even legit ones don't want to pay airdrops to you. You wouldn't participate in any airdrop! Airdrop time is over and people should stop doing it

Yes, some ICOs are an outright scams, but not all of them. I guess that many-many-many people participate in the airdrop campaigns (of a non-scam ICOs), therefore only few lucky participants receive their tokens. It's like a lottery.

The bounty campaigns are based on the stakes per week, so every hunter will receive the tokens he/she earned when ICO ends.
1945  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you share your trading experiences? on: August 28, 2018, 09:34:01 AM
My good experience in trading came from last year that when the price of bitcoin and altcoins reach all time high and at that time because the price day by day always be increase then almost everyday i got decent profit but since beginning 2018 my trading results was pretty bad and very difficult even for recover my loss

That's why buying the crypto currencies is considered a risky investment. No one knows where will the prices move in the near future. An ordinary trader should swim with "whales". If you see that they sell their coins, don't hold the crypto currencies you bought and try to buy the dip before their pump.

My personal trading experience is positive. I have no losses, but I want to improve my own tactics. I think that the buying a reliable trading signals is a good method for gaining a profit.
1946  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do older people like investing in Gold/Silver? on: August 28, 2018, 09:12:17 AM
I just looked at the chart of the gold price for the last year. The spread was from $1200 to $1350. Now the gold price is on the minimal levels and I guess the trend of this precious metal is negative. Also, recently I heard that some central banks started buying a gold to increase their reserves.

Probably the old people don't trust the modern globalized world where the crypto currencies are spreading and evolving despite the resistance of the governments. I suppose they just like to look at the beautiful things. In my opinion, gold is not a promising investment today.
1947  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin continue to fall this year? on: August 28, 2018, 08:48:53 AM
Bitcoin this past weeks or should I say its been a months since it is really on its downfall. This is what a lots of people are keep on panicking. But now, as can see, the Bitcoin price is somehow little by little rising up again. I was hoping that this will keep rising up and more people will be glad to bear it gaining continuous profit.

I glad to see this rising up too. All the crypto exchange markets are green now. Honestly, I was afraid of the Bitcoin falling after that the SEC rejected an ETF proposal, therefore I incorrectly predicted a negative global trend of the price movement. But it seems that the investors and traders ignored the ETF and continued to pump the crypto currencies. And this is very good.

Of course, the ETF would give a strong impulse for BTC growing, but I suppose the bull run on the crypto exchange markets will go until $9000.
1948  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-27] The Chinese crypto community doesn't seem to be bothered by the ban on: August 28, 2018, 08:27:20 AM
Similarly, Chinese crypto developer Bobby Lee is not at all worried about the health of the crypto market, taking to Twitter to predict that bitcoin will trade at $60,000 with a circulation of $1 Trillion in the next few years.

It would be nice. This developer is very optimistic. I guess that many chinese investors hold a big amount of Bitcoin.

In the end it comes down to politics and the Chinese governments obsession to control all aspects of their citizens lives. Bitcoin is a threat, because it can be used for capital flight and it gives Chinese citizens financial freedom and their government hate that.  Tongue

Maybe you have not heard, but there was a news of a ban in Beijing that will not allow all types of cryptocoin conferences in the city including bitcoin conferences.

In 2017 I heard of their intending to ban an ASIC mining pools of Bitcoin, but this government decided not to block the internet connections due to some reasons. As far as I know, even a VPN tunnels doesn't work through their "great" firewall.

Hero Member.

1950  Other / Meta / Re: [LOG] The ranked up members - Congratulations! on: August 25, 2018, 08:00:25 AM
My first posts on the first page were updated. Again, there is no ranked up Legendary or Hero Member this week.

Congratulations to five new Full Members and two new Senior Members: BitSharke135, Husna QA! The last one has no enough activity yet.

Just wanted to add a bit to the comments section.

GameKyuubi - Doesn't have enough activity to make Hero but also deserves a mention for being the creator of the HODL meme which is where that 600 Merit comes from.
Done. Yes, nowadays HODL is a well-known meme.

anunymint - didn't delete his posts he was banned for ban evasion and the moderators deleted all his posts. He's a serial troll who enjoys spreading anti-Bitcoin FUD.
Done. By the way, do you know why Ajpa94 who received enough merits for ranking up to Hero Member doesn't have any post?

RichDaniel, saulzaents, pitipawn, identifyuser and Tukang Becak all red tagged for Merit abuse.
Done. I will mark all the currently red tagged members in italic.

It was a lot harder than I expected. What I realized is that it is not enough to have a normal participation. It is necessary to create content that helps other people.

I agree with you. Every merit must be earned for a useful post.

And you should upgrade yourself too, meritless members !

Thousands of users received merits, and they became Members. I think that ranking up to a Full Member or a higher level is a more interesting challenge.
1951  Local / Кодеры / Re: PoW как эстафета, возможно ли? on: August 23, 2018, 01:57:55 AM

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2767711.0

1952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still believe in ETH ? on: August 23, 2018, 12:38:57 AM
Honestly, I believed in Ethereum, but now I doubt this crypto currency. Of course, many ERC20-tokens are based on its blockchain and this is the second ranked capitalized altcoin. As I know, the Bitcoin ETF has already been rejected by the SEC a few hours ago and probably the BTC dominance will be reduced again. Perhaps these funds will be placed into ETH. But the crypto exchange markets are demonstrating the opposite behavior and all the altcoins are falling more sharply than BTC. Currently Ethereum costs $270 (-4%). The ETH support level has already been breached.
1953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance demonstrated its decentralized exchange on: August 23, 2018, 12:13:55 AM
Phising has been a large problem for DEX sites. How binance's dex would be able to solve the phising attacks would be the decisive  factor for the success of the said dex. On other matters, we could expect everything better than current dex when it's coming form binance itself.

There is nothing they can do about phishing attacks, they can't prevent someone from placing a fake advertisement on google or a user from clicking a link received in an email. By the way, not only decentralized exchanges have been the target of phishing attackers, but also centralized exchanges and wallets.

A centralized exchange platform can be attacked by a phishing method too. This is not a problem of a DEX. To avoid this vulnerability, a trader should check the SSL/TLS certificate of the network connection. Don't use the site if the verifying is failed and displayed in red or gray.

I bought some BNBs. Although their price are volatile, I think they are a promising ERC20-tokens. It seems that Binance evolves and now looks pretty good.
1954  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your rules for profit taking on: August 22, 2018, 11:49:09 PM
When do you withdraw funds? Do you sell into fiat or USDT? Im thinking something like this: After a 50% increase sell 20% into USDT, repeat. Reinvest in dips. When 100% increased sell 20% into fiat

I hodl first my fund then when the price is good I withdraw it when I only need but if I do not need the money then I do not withdraw it first I hodl it for the good price of the token but when I withdraw it I do not withdraw all of the token I hold some of it.
Ah! It’s not good to be driven by the need based profit theme. There may be many chances where the profit level may be higher when you don’t need any money and then when you need to withdraw your profit might have been less than 20-30% or maybe more, who knows.
It is a brilliant idea to not to withdraw all your funds at the same time and withdraw it in packages. This reduces the chances if the price goes high meanwhile you will be having funds to withdraw and gain more profit on it.

The HODL tactics is profitable when the crypto currency you bought is currently growing. In most of the cases I sell all my coins or tokens if I am aware of the future negative trend of a crypto currency I trade. It is quite difficult to "reinvest in dips" because no one knows where the bottom of the price falling will be. The primary rule is a patience and a waiting for a good chance to buy or sell a promising crypto currency.
1955  Economy / Economics / Re: ETF rejected on: August 22, 2018, 11:08:21 PM
This is a bad news. The ETF would be a strong driver for BTC growing. Sad

Now I am looking at the crypto exchange markets. The price of Bitcoin is decreasing to $6300 (-2%). I guess this is just a beginning of the next dump. Embarrassed

I suppose that the dominance of Bitcoin will be reduced again to 45% and the altcoins will recover a little bit in the near future.
1956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Looks Unlikely To Cross $10,000 Again This Year on: August 22, 2018, 09:56:49 PM
As we detailed above, given the headwinds faced by both of these metrics over the month of August, we expect them to grow at a modest pace over coming months. As a result, we believe that the Bitcoin will very likely remain below $10,000 for the rest of the year.

I think $10K is a good price for this year. Currently Bitcoin costs about $6500, so BTC can grow up to +40% under favorable circumstances. I guess that if the SEC rejects the Bitcoin ETF this September, the BTC price will fall deeper than $6000. But their forecast will be correct in any case because Bitcoin will remain below $10K.

Smiley

1958  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: August 22, 2018, 08:40:14 PM
My three posts on the first page were updated again. There is no new merit sources detected by the analysis this week, but it seems that the known sources distribute merits well, competing with each other. Also, I've updated the monthly statistics.
1959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest to Ripple? on: August 19, 2018, 10:36:23 PM
Ripple is a shitcoin as they say, I've heard alot of negative comments about Ripple, they say ripple is a scam coin because it's centralized and majority of the holders are from banks. What do you think? Should I trust Ripple?

Ripple is a promising project so I think investing on it seems a good idea and in cryptocurrency all you need is to take a risk and if you think that ripple can change your life then start an investment with it.

Honestly, now Ripple, which is ranked third for capitalization, looks good in comparing to Ethereum, which is ranked second. The XRP graph is more smoothy. Its price doesn't fall too low during the global market dumps, and its price is pumped higher when the crypto exchange markets are green. I think that Ripple has a potential, in spite of its major disadvantages which are the centralization and a huge pre-mine.

In any case, currently I advice to invest in Bitcoin expecting the probable approving ETF by the SEC this September.
1960  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's next for bitcoin on: August 19, 2018, 10:15:06 PM
We might just have to wait and see how things go. It might go further down, or go a little up, and then drop again, no one knows. I just feel that this trend will be in for a little more time, maybe until the end of this year, or more. Bitcoin is a good cryptocurrency, and I know that it will overcome all of its challenges in due time. We just have to be patient for that.

Patience is important, it's right. Obviously, now the crypto community and the large investors are waiting for the decision of the US SEC which concerned to the Bitcoin ETF proposal. I guess we will see the large trading movement on the crypto exchange markets this September. The future direction depends on whether ETF will be adopted or not. The large piece of the funds were already transferred from altcoins into Bitcoin. Probably some investors expected the ETF approved in this August.

Note that some members start to make the FUD threads on this forum and sow a panic among the crypto currency holders. This is a sign. Probably they want to buy Bitcoin right now for a current price.
