1941  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Web wallet better than mobile wallet on: December 03, 2020, 04:50:48 PM
A web wallet is one such wallet. You do not need to use any additional applications to save it. It is much safer. In my opinion, web wallet is much better than mobile wallet. Using it does not require a separate space. Hopefully the wallet will expand further in the future.

I agree, most of the exchange and wallets are made as a website and the applications are more like an extension of the wallets, so it's definitely safe and better to use a web wallet on your computer.

There are also some that offer android applications that you could also use, not all wallets have a mobile application so it might not be optimized when opening on the mobile devices. Also you just need to be aware of so many phishing and scam applications that trying to copy legitimate wallets. You could just check the web wallet website if it has a mobile application.

But both platforms have their advantages and disadvantages because mobile devices are portable.
1942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption: Universities now Accepting Bitcoin for Tuition Payment? on: December 03, 2020, 03:33:50 PM
Maybe as long as bitcoin would be accepted as payment in any kind of business it would be a big help in bitcoin adaptation as it would help and expose people to bitcoin.

So it's always great to have this kind of payment option but I guess it's not common for universities because if you are going to accept bitcoin as a payment I guess that just means you are also investing in bitcoin.

It might affect your business since the price is moving up and down in just a small time, it also depends on the country because not all country is exposed to this technology. But might not be as useful because I don't think bitcoin is suitable for spending but more like just for investment at this moment.
1943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction can be lost? forever stuck transaction in mempool on: December 03, 2020, 01:23:09 PM
Hi,
I transferred $1800+ btc with $1.09 mining fees, which is very low at that time, but now my transaction is stuck in mempool from 3 days. Is it lost?

https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/6d39ddf0ec4ce578bd70300c317865aa40d471e9feed3b794655f51ad5b33e9a

I guess it's common when the market price of bitcoin is pumping just like what happened at the end of 2017.

The transaction is still unconfirmed so I guess just be patient, the transaction fee is so low for a 1800$ so it's expected to have a long transaction time. Also, the funds would return to your wallet if the transaction is not successful.

I remember having a 7day transaction time in the past and I already thought that the transaction will never be completed, as long as it's in the blockchain you just need to be patient on this one.
1944  Local / Pilipinas / Re: ATH na ba? on: December 03, 2020, 04:40:42 AM
I believe we will see a new ATH tonight as we welcome a new month .

Before, December nag ATH, pero I think November this time.

Read This. on: December 01, 2020, 10:10:24 PM

Just to be safe na wala ng susunod na ganito.

Sana lahat ay sasangayon jan boss.
Or mas ok siguro pag may nangungutang regardless of how huge or small the amount is ay kailangan mag bigay ng basic information like genuine social media accounts.
I guess you should be the one to do it boss @Cabalism13 since you're unarguably a trusted member handling all those huge amount of money for the charity ng hindi na sisilaw sa salapi.
This isn't only for our own good, but also for our local community's reputation in this forum.

Being in this forum is such a huge opportunity na kumita ng extra income, but sadly, hindi lahat ng tao ay nakukuntento. We don't know the story behind sa case ni Asu, pero let this be a lesson na instead of takbuhan yung utang dahil medyo gipit, e bakit hindi nalang harapin at pakiusapan and try to convince the lender na talagang gipit na gipit.

1946  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: asu's loan default on: November 30, 2020, 06:12:40 PM

1947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin anonymous? on: November 29, 2020, 10:41:30 PM
Is Bitcoin entirely anonymous? It’s common for people to say that in reality bitcoin is absolutely anonymous but are not knowledgeable enough to know that is pseudonymous . Bitcoin being pseudonymous rather than the assumed anonymous gives us an understanding that each user has a established public address. So that further tells us theoretically bitcoin address can be traced back using an IP address or an exchange account.
We should be more concerned about to what level or extent is bitcoin anonymous ?

When it comes to tracking your transaction maybe not because every transaction is recorded in the blockchain except if your use some crypto mixer I guess.

I don't think it can track the IP address by just looking at the transaction in the blockchain, but still, bitcoin was not completely anonymous like what other people say.

Just like what other member says the anonymous thing in bitcoin is more like your details since every transaction doesn't have your details, and it doesn't require any KYC.
1948  Other / Off-topic / Re: i trust more bankers and banks then bitcoin on: November 29, 2020, 10:05:02 PM
so what we do about this?

and im still in bitcoin forum Cheesy  if something is going on with my money i can call to bank 24/7 and asking whats going on they always pick up the phone Smiley
if bitcoin goes down i cant call to nowhere...

so banks and bankers are the best and winners in this case agaisnt the bitcoin and crypto:)

Somehow it's true, but both bitcoin and banks have their own advantage and disadvantages.

Banks are centralized and bitcoin is decentralized, having the private key to your own wallet means you are the one who has control over your bitcoin but still bitcoin is unhackable at this moment but we don't know if where gonna experience issues about it in the future.

Bank account could be freeze whenever they like and they can control it, they might restrict you from withdrawing but at the same time reliable and already trusted by the community somehow.
1949  Local / Pilipinas / Re: MAY KINALAMAN BA ANG CHINA SA PAGBAGSAK NG DAPAT SANA AY BULLRUN TREND? on: November 29, 2020, 09:28:39 PM

1950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin on: November 29, 2020, 09:07:29 PM
There are many people who still don't know about bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. I don't know about others I am talking about my country and about my society. Whenever I ask from people about or talk about the Bitcoin. They ask what is this?

How much there is who face this problem?

Not all countries have access to good technology so it's normal that there are people who don't know about bitcoin or don't have any idea what is bitcoin at all.

If your not a techie person you probably end up not knowing anything about crypto, that is why bitcoin is still adapting in a lot of countries since there is no education about it.

Most of the people in my country are just afraid to try bitcoin just because of the scams online and they don't know what bitcoin really is because of the bad image of bitcoin on the news related to a lot of scams.
1951  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: My Plan if ever happens again ATH on: November 29, 2020, 01:08:33 PM

It might take a long time pa rin, mahirap din iasume na ngayong 2020 na mangyayari ang ATH, pweding next year or after 2-3 years at magstay lang around 15k$-20k$ ang presyo.
1952  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: ANO SA TINGIN NINYO KABAYAN, XRP and Bitcoin ATH na ba or May BIG WAVE pa? on: November 28, 2020, 11:59:28 PM

1953  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the biggest issue for beginners ? on: November 28, 2020, 11:30:49 PM
What is the biggest issue facing you as a beginner in crypto ?

The biggest issue I guess for beginners is being so greedy, most of the beginners in crypto tend to be so greedy in crypto thinking that it is just so easy to earn a profit here.

That is why a lot of beginners are getting scam on a lot of platforms because they are greedy to earn an easy profit, and don't have enough experience in earning so they don't know how the market works yet.

Also getting into crypto without having enough knowledge is also a thing that is why beginners get greedy, beginners should realize that it is not so easy to earn to do that they need knowledge, research about crypto on their own, and also get the experience it.
1954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The dangers of buying bitcoin thru Paypal - real life example on: November 28, 2020, 04:00:35 PM
According to this reddit post by u/TheCoolDoc, his account gets banned by Paypal and then limited because of too much activity, buying/selling bitcoin in a week.

I let your read the rest of the story.

In any case though be reminded, "Not your keys, not your coins". So anytime this centralised services can either ban you or selectively close your account, and not good if you have some funds on it.

This is a big disadvantage of using a custodial wallet like Paypal and at the same time Paypal was just getting started in crypto so maybe they don't know what to do if their users are buying and selling crypto means Paypal is possibly losing profit here.

In my experience in using a custodial wallet, I mean it's not really that bad as long as you do KYC and everything it's very unlikely to encounter any issue when it comes to your account but still, the possibility of freezing your account is always there.

Most of the custodial wallet does this thing when the market price of bitcoin is pumping they are limiting the transaction because it just means they could lose profit here which is really a bad thing for us and makes you feel that you don't have control to your own wallet. It also happened to me in a different custodial wallet they disable to sell your bitcoin when the market price is so high.
1955  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Eto na! nagsisimula na! on: November 28, 2020, 12:33:44 PM
Bitcoin's price keeps on falling down. As of this moment eh $16,967 na lamang ito. Yeah maaaring maganda pa rin itong point sa pag hodl but be cautious kasi baka sa kahahangad mo ng mas mataas na price eh lalo kang mawalan. Always bear in mind your entrance and exit points. But if I were you guys, magdump na kayo. Find contentment and abang na lang ulit for next big thing Grin.

1956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 17000$ today on: November 27, 2020, 11:59:38 PM
Bitcoin price always changable no one can predicted it correctl.Today i chack the bitcoin price so what's happen end of this year? Please share your experience

The market price is going up and down and I'm not really sure what gonna happened in the coming months in the market price of bitcoin.

It's hard to say that the market price is not gonna pump because of the limited supply of bitcoin, the market price would always gonna be valuable and will increase its market price in the future.

And yes, it's hard to predict the market because there are so many factors that affect the market price and you also don't know if the market would continue to increase so it's always a gamble. Still touching the 19k$ market price could always mean profit to a lot of investors so having pumps and dumps means profit so volatility is not always a disadvantage.
1957  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Watch out for Crypto Faucets! on: November 27, 2020, 03:00:10 PM
There are few legitimate Crypto Faucet websites for earning very small amounts of crypto, but watch out for many scams asking you to pay or deposit anything.
One of them is in this forum QoinPro.com - Free BTC, DOGE, LTC, FTC, VTA every 24 hours automatically
People did their tasks, but they received nothing after they requested withdrawals, and website was not working at all.

Never deposit any coins to faucets, never trust them, and don't expect to earn coins from faucets.

Faucets are really popular back in the day and somehow could profitable claiming every time it's available and I guess most of the people do not really recommend this as a thing in crypto since it might just be a waste of time.

Most of the gambling websites have these Crypto Faucets and a needed deposit could just be normal to activate your account in a gambling website or exchange.

But I guess you don't really need to take the risk depositing in this kind of website since there is a high chance that this could be a scam, if the faucet is just what you want no need to deposit funds in the website at all.
1958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof - The long Hodl on: November 27, 2020, 01:42:16 PM
Anyone who was into crypto this time 3 years ago
will remember the run up to the ATH of $19783.

It was a wild time in December of that year, there
were big gains made and alternatively a lot of losses
where some people FOMO'd in close to the ATH
and either sold at a loss or are still holding what they
had back then.

How many had the forsight to HODL what they had
for the next bull market, which is now?

I would say, not many!

Eventhough we (the positive) have been preaching
about the long haul and a look to the future.

These times are proof that when you buy high, not panic and HODL for the future is rewarding

Its really difficult to read what gonna happened in the market in the coming months, especially if you're holding a high amount of investment it's really tempting to sell your holding at this times because it could be a more profit or the market price could also go dump and then your gonna need to wait for another 2-5 years again before the market price of bitcoin could increase or pump again in the market.

Most people could assume that the market price of bitcoin is just gonna continue to increase in the coming years just because of the supply of bitcoin and mining bitcoin more difficult than before. But it could take years or a long time for that to happened and it might not be worth waiting considering the time of investment.

But it still depends because there are so many investments or businesses that could give you more profit in 2-5years than just waiting in crypto investment.

1959  Economy / Speculation / Re: who believes that the price of BTC high next month? on: November 25, 2020, 11:38:30 PM
Will the bitcoin really go up to  25,000 dollars next month? As far as I've read and know the Btc information. As far as i'm I think the Bitcoin price will go up to  22,000$. what is your opinion?

The market price of bitcoin just keeps on bubble up and at t his moment it's already close to 19,000$ in just a small amount of time.

At this moment it's hard to assume that the market price of bitcoin is not gonna pump in the coming months, and it's already closed to 20k$ it just needs a little bit more pump in the market to reach and possibly pass the current ATH in the market.

I guess saving your bitcoin is the thing to do at this moment or cutting your expenses, investing at this moment is not ideal because it's already late to make a profit since we don't really know if it's gonna reach the ATH. But your not really gonna lose your bitcoin if you're not going to sell it so if your planning a long term investment bitcoin is one of the best investment that you could always take.
1960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto Lived In London While Working On Bitcoin + proof on: November 25, 2020, 10:40:53 PM
Very interesting to know these kinds of things about Satoshi Nakamoto," working until the early hours of the morning and sleeping until noon ".

I guess we could assume that maybe Satoshi Nakamoto lived in London?  but I guess most of the things about him doesn't matter anymore at this time. And it will be difficult to assume or prove that someone is Satoshi Nakamoto if he is still alive, and it would not change anything in bitcoin, I think he just made the bitcoin like this so that it would function even without Satoshi.
