I do hope the summer coin community pick an original logo

too many images and logos with sun with sunglasses

etc etc etc
1942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: X13 [PRE-ANN] *SUMMERCOIN 2.0* [POW/POS] [NEW LAUNCH] [NEW DEV] on: June 03, 2014, 12:27:25 AM
The sun with the glasses LOGO looks better for summercoin - we need something that stands out. I have discussed with soopy in the past, that the SUN WITH GLASSES is a perfect LOGO for SUMMERCOINV2.

Agreed.......much better samples have been given than this one.

appreciate the feedback

remember it is always best to create an icon rather than an image

icon  (represents the organisations)

image (reflects the current trend)

in the end i just hope the right icon is picked for summer coin

would love to see other icons created

Vote for me please

You can do it yourself man.
Google 'anonymizer' and you're good to go. Just don't submit a lot of votes within a small period of time.
Also don't use the ones from 1-2 pages of results - most of them've been "used" already.

no thanks i always hope to win these competitions by my design work

if the design does not speak for itself and to the community, i believe my design does not warrant being the logo for cure coin

1944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]CureCoin - Earn while you solve cures for Cancer. True 3.0 crypto on: June 01, 2014, 07:38:47 PM
Thanks for "proving your point" by knowingly exploiting the system and skewing the results. That's very helpful. You've done a good thing.

/s

Edit: I am able to see a full log of votes, by the way. Fraudulent votes are fairly easy to spot, and can be dealt with.
Yes, my fraudulent votes are easy to spot - they are within 10 minute window.
Are you sure you can remove all all other fraudulent votes?
Moreover, how you determine what is a valid vote? I'm with 2 ISPs + 2 cellular operators. My rigs are in two different places: 2 ISPs + 2 cellular ops.
It totals to 8 different IPs. Which of them would be fraudulent?

Vote for me please

Vote Now!

my wife asked me to post this and bolster my submission

great logo that is warm and friendly appeals to women and children as well, feedback I have received is that the kids adore it

Just another artificial pump. All of you just need to pray that those few  who are actually controlling the whole BTC market will not dump it all in the next few weeks.

When the dollar finally has its crashing part, these times will look like cheap times.
Argentina just got an exchange. A shit storm is a brewin...

Most of btc's early adopters are truth and liberty seeking folks.
Give them more credit...
Lol, do you really believe in this freedom and liberty shit?
Bitcoins were created by some very smart people, who most probably are controlling it right now. Who is using bitcoins in real life? Nobody. It is just an artificial medium for  cash laundry, for selling some useless hardware (miners) for very high price.
Many drug  and paedophile dealers are really pleased to have something like bitcoin, so they can do their stuff totally undercover.
That is it. Any mentally  healthy  person wouldnt build his business on BTC, any smart person will invest money in BTC  because it is controlled by few people, and you never know what will happen tomorrow: will they pump it? Or maybe sell everything and wave you bye bye?

Bitcoin was created by DARPA as a means to slowly introduce a paperless, cashless, society. Satoshi is not a single person but represents an entire collective of spook geeks. Just like they released the Wild West of the Internet, they released Bitcoin.

They have slowly reigned in freedom from the Internet and have turned it into a mass surveillance grid. They will do the same with bitcoin.

The worlds largest conspiracy site has explained it rather well and documented it with facts. Problem is that no one in the Wild West cares.

That would be crazy, but does not take into account all alternate cryptos. It would be insane if the government secretly put a lot of fiat into BTC and then ordered the Fed to print like crazy, destroying the dollar. All to get national debt to BTC0

the video comments by the interviewee's (one of who is Ron Paul) at the end is astounding

I thought this link cannot be real, so you never know what they are doing

1947  Economy / Speculation / Re: $5000+ bitcoin? on: May 30, 2014, 11:59:37 PM
Sure, absolutely. Look at it:

1. FIAT MONEY created at zero difficulty by a central bank. For example ECB creates unlimited EUR, a scamcoin that is now equipped with negative interest rates, to make people take more EUR

2. BTC, a highly useful private money, with a limited supply and very hard to mine, difficulty 10 billions and rising.

Why should a BTC not be worth 5000 scamcoins?

Even a devcoin is harder to mine than a EUR (for ECB, that is)  Cheesy

again really

regardless of what btc is, a lot of legitimate businesses are making money off of btc why not everyone else

e.g. bitpay, overstock and exchanges all creating jobs for people

let me make some money off of btc without having to believe

i do not care if it is a conspiracy, going to bust, ponzie scheme, used by drug runners and weapons dealers, etc etc etc etc etc  etc etc etc etc etc

fiat has the same conspiracy, going to bust, ponzie scheme, used by drug runners and weapons dealers, etc etc etc etc etc  etc etc etc etc etc

just leave people to make their profits if they can

1950  Economy / Speculation / Re: $5000+ bitcoin? on: May 30, 2014, 09:42:15 PM
Let's wait for the reward halving in 2016 then it's likely to happen.
Yes this is something more realistic.
Not sure what advise can give, but the thing i am sure about is that BTC is not predictable!
BR

What's "more realistic" is bitcoin going up 10x every year since the beginning.  Since we are still pretty soundly in the early adoption phase, what's "most realistic" is that it continues to do so this year.  Since we started the year over $500, it's very realistic that we will exceed $5000 this year.

+1 this

I have tried and tried and tried to not acknowledge the realistic evidence that bitcoin goes up 10x every year since the beginning

it is unrealistic to think this can occur on an investment, we are always told if it is too good to be true it is not real

but there is the evidence

are there any statistics showing if userbase, merchant adoption etc, are increasing by 10x a year?

http://blockchain.info/charts

great charts all types of trends

not sure if they show 10x merchant adoption etc

I think these trends would have a different adoption, unsure

for instance overstock adopting btc would result in a far lot more transactions and increase in the transaction trend than the merchant trend

is this right

this one, have looked everywhere cannot find a reference to it on the internet

logo concept

feedback appreciated

Thanks a lot!

Here is a couple of things that occured to me:
  • The snakes in the hammer are twisted strangely
  • The "ripples" that start from the center of the coin and move outward are strangely transparent with the hammer (i.e it is not stamped into but drawn over)
  • Very modern depiction of Mjollnir

Just for Info: The original logo is an image of an actual 13th century coin. In it you can see Mjollnir pictured as a cross, in Midieval times this symbol was used by Pagans and Christians. Not only did it help trading between the factions in that time, but it also showed some level of tolerance (and protected identity, as the other person would not be able to guess your religion)

Since Mjollnircoin has some similarities (no restrictions on who can take part,a means to facilitate trading, etc) I prefer to see a a modern version of the "cross-hammer"

Appreciate the feedback

keeping in line with the viking coinage of the time

I would like to approach the design from a viking perspective and in line with the developers and community of Mjollnircoin

this imagery is common of the cross and hammer coinage of the time commonly known as a Mjölnir (hammer) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mj%C3%B6lnir  with a christian cross

other imagery associated with viking coinage is the Trefoil knot http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trefoil_knot

.

and the triquetra  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Triquetra-Vesica.svg

completing the imagery on the coins of the time are also runes

It would be great to get the link that references the image on the first page of the announcement thread

would it be best to include all these images or just the Mjölnir with cross as depicted on the coin on the announcement thread

Your viking-age approach sounds excellent to me!

Which image exactly do you mean with 'on the first page of the announcement thread' ?

COIN2 DEPOSIT TO EXCHANGES STARTS NOW

Ok here is transparency for you guys

Mintpal    31,146,142.69841092
BTER      23,847,627.8478
Poloniex     2,366,428.61322783
C-Cex            6,013.758472
Bittrex      1,006,590.20254400

Total: 58,372,803.12045475

Those are the totals on the exchanges after the attack, xnigma and comkort have not responded
yet. So since bittrex is still open, were going to ask them to freeze everything for the moment, if you
guys want to you can go ahead and send your coins to either nxt-e or bittrex, both need exposure
to our community and will help us be kept in both places. The reason for deposits is to avoid wallet
screenshot scams and get an estimated total of what is still left out of the exchanges in wallets.
Failure to do this will result in lost coins.

I cannot make this any clearer:
1) Only deposit if your coins are in a personal wallet
2) Do not try to move your coins from one exchange to another
3) Do not try to withdraw your coins after you deposit to an exchange.
4) Lets try and make this swap go as smoothly as possible.
5) You have til the end of the week.

Deposit to either of these exchanges
Don't be biased and only go to bittrex.
Once your coins are in, their there til
                         conversion. Thanks.

To push it up !!!

whats going on I have tried to keep up to date with this at first I thought it was related to the time we already did this, is this another thing we have to do or do we just keep our coins in our wallet.

I do not want to open up another account on another exchange I still have my original stake which was even updated when we moved to coin 2.0
