1942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should have put money in Litecoin instead.... WTF is this s***!! on: November 27, 2013, 12:24:09 AM
Seems that Litecoin might actually happen. I will never understand why, but seems that people will buy anything with coin on it.

The crypto world/economy works in strange ways, I don't even know 100% of what going on at times. Some things don't makes since most of the times and other times it makes sense. Oh well, just ride the roller coaster we call cryptocurrency....

Also I notice a trend, when the winter comes, people start heavily mining with GPU's at this time.

Good idea to warm up your house and not waste heat energy.

That's what exactly I'm doing right now....lol....GPU mining and CPU mining. Got 8 computers in my room on...lol....My electric heater is on the corner of my room collecting dust....lol
1944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should have put money in Litecoin instead.... WTF is this s***!! on: November 27, 2013, 12:15:11 AM
In California, USA , it's 21 hours off peak hours and only 3 hours partial peak.
Here the rates per kwh are almost double in winter compared to summer.

Do you live by a coast or major city? Usually that applies to expensive areas and coastal areas. I live the the Northern California valley. Rates are cheapest in the winter, because there is no peak hours prices during that time period.

Also I notice a trend, when the winter comes, people start heavily mining with GPU's at this time. Guess when electricity is at it's cheapest, people mine more, which causes people pump more coins into the crypto economy. Plus the demand seems to get higher from Fall to Winter time also. Summer and Spring seems to be the down time for cryptos....
Actually in winter the electricity is more expensive here, hmm?

TIX is a unique crypto currency being the only scrypt-jane with random block rewards for the first several hundred thousand blocks. It is a collective effort of several prominent developers that have experience both creating and maintaining networks for coins. Not only does this provide solid coding for the coin itself, but also the knowledge and experience to keep the network going and patch any issues, should they arise.

The development team will remain anonymous at this point, but will continue to monitor and maintain both the code and network better than any other developer or development team can. Our team is comprised of individuals that are responsible for no fewer than 20 coins currently being exchanged. Mine and trade with confidence of instant transactions knowing that this coin is backed by the best, and only the best. We don’t want this coin to succeed based on our reputations of releasing very solid and profitable coins. This one will speak for itself!

I've been having problems with withdrawal from coinmine.pl mining pool since 10/28 til now. Seems like it's not showing up on my deposit address of my wallet. Not even as a unconfirmed, but on the pool it's says confirmed. Is my coins disappearing? It's kind of disturbing if I'm losing them some where in cyberspace. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
1948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoins is it going up or down? on: November 16, 2013, 10:07:44 PM
Seems like it staying nominal. All coins seem like they are losing value, but the truth is BTC is inflating. So, the value for each coin is adjusted accordingly to BTC's price jump.

1950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PTS Pool issues?!?!?!..... on: November 16, 2013, 04:46:52 PM
Has anyone actually gotten a payout from beeeer sense the stats have been down?

I had to switch from ypool when it went down for the 40th time this week got about 840coll/m and no pts in the wallet

I hate having no visual of payouts, so I went to PTSPool. Seems like the same operator of RPool.
1951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PTS Pool issues?!?!?!..... on: November 16, 2013, 04:45:45 PM
its bad at the moment but , when we sit back and think about it ....

the reason we are seeing this ddos type situation is because there are 1000's of individual people with CPU's out there having a go at PTS.

this is generally a sign of diversification is ever there was one - i mean what are the workers in excess of 50,000 ?

if we were seeing the opposite this would suggest a few large players have jumped in and mPoW is grievously flawed .

it seems not to be the case.

need more pools guys ., the market says fees 5% + would be accepted for a good honest reliable pool.

I guess the pool operators didn't anticipate this much traffic for mining. So, they didn't prepare for it accordingly. If someone makes another pool, hopefully they learn from the mistakes form the other ones and communicate with the inventors of PTS.
1952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PTS Pool issues?!?!?!..... on: November 16, 2013, 04:19:25 PM
Beeeeer's backend is still working, at least it appears to be. My miners are connected and submitting shares.

Seems like beeeeer and PTSPool are working at the backend. Ypool is just straight out dead atm.

yes its a bit of a nightmare, you can either mine blind, mine in chinese or mine with a huge minimum payout

It is quite annoying and mining blind is the same as solo mining....lol....The crypto gods need to play nice....lmfao
1953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / PTS Pool issues?!?!?!..... on: November 16, 2013, 03:51:47 PM
Seems like all the PTS Pools are having issues. Are there any PTS Pool still working ok at the backend at least?
1954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PTS] Protoshares, new difficulty in 20 hours. What will the price be? on: November 16, 2013, 03:50:27 PM
Who would seriously buy this at that price?

I remember people falling over themselves to pay 1 - 2 BTC for 1 bitbar once.

PTS has zero services and is worth more than LTC?

CPU coins always become worth nothing. The fact this uses more ram does not really stop botnets, but yes is harder to vps mine that's about it.

PTS doesn't have any services, but the Bitshares that will spawn will have potential to create services and a new economy through it.

someone late to the party?

BTC was a "CPU" "Coin" ?

if there is a chance at greater diversification then i can see why people are supporting this new algorithm.

Every coin was once upon a time a cpu coin in it core, until people found a way to make miners for gpu mining.
1955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PTS] Protoshares, new difficulty in 20 hours. What will the price be? on: November 16, 2013, 11:14:49 AM
It's gone up.Smiley

It's now 49.78 CNY = USD 7.96=0.0185 BTC.

Still going up as we speak.....Wonder what the price will be once these spawn Bitshares at 1:1 ratio?

It's currently going at 0.02 btc per PTS. What do you think will happen to the price after the difficulty goes up in 20 hours?

Should we be buying pts today?

Should increase, in theory, as demand is high and supply will be lower.

It's just skyrocketing, its up to 58 Yuan(CNY) now, which is

Damn its up to 59.9 now which is

59.9 PTS = 9.584 usd =0.02228 btc

62 CNY now...LOL.....

where is the exchange for pts?

In Chinese only: http://www.btc38.com/trade.html?btc38_trade_coin_name=pts

1 CNY = $0.16 USD

1 PTS = 46.536 CNY = $7.44576 USD = 0.0174947368421053 BTC (Approximately)

1958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: While sobbing that one missed the train!Whats the next best thing to Invest! :) on: November 16, 2013, 03:48:14 AM
PTS train is still working for now, but the next diff change, probably not worth as much. I like Curecoin and the backing of the FRK community for Folding@Home, a good cause and also earning coins. That's a win win situation.  Grin
1959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Guide and Giveaway] Cloud Mining PTS with yPool and Digital Ocean on: November 15, 2013, 08:47:08 PM
Beeeer Guide is on the 2nd page Smiley

Just a side note: if you are running ubuntu, you need a different lboost library:

apt-get install libboost-chrono1.48-dev libboost-filesystem1.48-dev libboost-system1.48-dev libboost-program-options1.48-dev libboost-thread1.48-dev

Worked great for me.

PcGUoRite52tgEpbd5mv3dgdZi16TUkWzd

Just saw it. How much is it to get 4 or 8 cores on Digital Ocean? I like the price of the $5 package, but it's only one core like the Amazon AWS.
1960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Invictus Innovations ProtoShares Cheat Sheet | CPU Mining on: November 15, 2013, 08:37:43 PM
I am getting maybe 1 PTS by mining for over a day. What is the total coin supply now?

I think it will reach a tipping point soon. With difficulty rising price will be nowhere near the effort spent to mine.

I get 10~12 PTS a day mining with 20 physical cores and 20 VPS cores. Before btc38.com went into maintenance mode, PTS was going for about $5.8 each. I hear on coingrounds, it goes for 0.008 BTC. Plus, don't know what the value will be once the genesis block start and all the PTS spawn 1:1 ratio of Bitshares, and what ever else spawns from PTS.
