1941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: August 25, 2015, 03:02:53 PM
Interest in Bitcoin seems to be tied to the price - it's all most people I know associate it with. What comes first the chicken or the egg? The price or the mass adoption?
In course of evolution, chicken came first from pre-existing species and then it gave egg. So no big deal in this chicken and egg problem.
1942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever attended a bitcoin meetup? on: August 25, 2015, 02:58:02 PM
Nope, but I would love to go to one.
But I doubt that in my country, the meet ups happen or not. BTW I'm from India.
Don't think that meet ups happen here because in my friend circle, only one person knows about Bitcoin, so it's a long way to go.
1943  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people are using Bitcoin debit card? on: August 25, 2015, 02:44:44 PM
maybe 10-20% of the bitcoiners are using bitcoin debit card and so on...even many of my friends are using it too..but most of the bitcoiners are now days avoiding it due to its high fees
Yes man, their fees are very high.
They will kill me.
But you are a senior member, so there will not be that much problem to you to earn those back, because of the bit-x signature.

Doing signature campaigns is often not so easy as people think, you need to write significant content in the provided word limit with other limitations in order for the post to qualify as a valid post, if the post does not meet the required quota, it is not counted as a post for the sig campaign. Most of the posts are often not considered, making it hard for people to earn that btc. Legendary & Hero Members get 0.0012BTC per post, Senior Members get 0.0010BTC and Full Members are paid 0.0007BTC per post
But at least there are no limitations on the boards to post, just the meta and off-topic are not counted and also there is no limit on posting.
So provided the whole forum, around 150 posts a week is not big deal.
BTW there is a question coming in my mind, is there a daily limit to post on the forum before our account gets banned for posting.  Huh
I've seen many people complaining about it in the meta forum.
1944  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many Bitcoins are lost forever? on: August 25, 2015, 02:33:37 PM
I just accidentally sent 2.4BTC to a wallet that I have forgotten the password for. Not calling them lost yet, but I'm racking my brain for hours and no luck.

Wow those are bad news, 2.4 btc is a real deal to lose.
Try to use all your passwords you have ever used, try all the combinations
i think maybe there is a password recovery software called Cian and Abel, so I think that it can be able to help you out and can recover your password for you.
If successful, tips are always welcomed.
1945  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: August 25, 2015, 02:26:29 PM
worst mistake by me lossing of bitcoin wallet that is not backuped by me it big mistak done with bitcoin.
i cannot know how to resolve this problem.
There is no way to solve this problem my friend.
Only you can do is that learn from that loss and look forward and try not to do anything wrong in future.
1946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have $10 in Bitcoin. What coin should I invest in? on: August 25, 2015, 02:17:31 PM
you can always invest in an unknown altcoin which is probably going to go up from 100 satoshi to 2000 satoshi but it is hard to find them and find them early.

from famous coins that have a larger market cap, i think litecoin is going to have at least a nice couple of weeks ahead since block reward halving is near and also the price is very low right now.
It's very easy to find new launched altcoins by looking at the altcoin calender.
But I think that ninja launch coins acquire more value because when people come to know about them then they start buying and so their prices increase automatically.
1947  Economy / Economics / Re: Alright , Time to Dump or Time to Buy ? on: August 25, 2015, 02:12:48 PM
time to buy, like always

So, are you saying that you always buy bitcoins, no matter what the price is Huh
Then how you earn profit when you buy Bitcoin at high prices. Huh
1948  Economy / Speculation / Re: $300 in the end of August on: August 24, 2015, 05:33:53 PM
impossible is nothing.
hmmm, very positive.
But there are only 7 days or so left in August and let's say Bitcoin have to move up around $10 each day.
According to me it is impossible to achieve $300 at end of August.
1949  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many Bitcoins are lost forever? on: August 24, 2015, 05:27:39 PM
I think there are 1000+bitcoins are being lost till now..that's for sure that every body wil not say that I lost money(bitcoin) for simple stupidy or any type of carelessness or it can also happen accidently but its always a mystry
your speculation is very low.
At least 7600bitcoins of a person who I saw in news are lost and that are lying somewhere in the dump, because he threw his hard drive in trash and never took a backup of wallet.
1950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your first bitcoins came from.. (faucets aside) on: August 24, 2015, 05:24:55 PM
i joined bitcoin 1 week ago but not got any bitcoin from faucets aside or any other source.
as you are using signature campaign, so you will get some bits this Sunday.
Just post constructive posts on the forum and see your Bitcoins growing up by signature campaigns.

1952  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: August 24, 2015, 05:19:41 PM
since the price took a dive i was able to seize the opportunity and buy some more bitcoin for my cold storage for hodling long term Smiley

Nice move even there are negative speculation about bitcoin price. Don't lose faith in bitcoin because there are still some bitcoin sided speculation with proofs and basis and not just a troll.
yup, I agree with you.
That's why I never believe those troll saying sell! Sell! Sell! It's going to crash.
When I see those trolls on the forum, then I start my buying phase, because I know that I will make profit from low prices.
1953  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: August 24, 2015, 05:16:58 PM
I would pick the Bitcoin. What can I do with gold ? Nothing  Wink

Wonder what that ring is made from in your profile pic, is it gold or magical physical bitcoin  Grin
No, that ring is a work of art.
Purely it is pixels altogether forming an image of ring.
So in it there is no gold and bitcoins used.
1954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: August 24, 2015, 05:10:19 PM
Based on my experiences , it doesn't. I always end up losing especially when autobetting   Undecided

Mostly I lose too while using autbetting on dice ! well yes martingale for me on luckybit works i won 1.4 last month using that lol .
Yes, there is a very good strategy used by the house to stop martingale, that there is a maximum bet limit, so only upto a point it works but when the house limit is reached then we end up loosing.
And maybe you are wearing their signature, that's why you are saying that you won.
But if it's real, then very good for you.
1955  Economy / Speculation / Re: New low? on: August 24, 2015, 05:06:14 PM
this price is from preev

and it looks like it's still going to same direction which is down  Sad
i'm still hoping for $240-$250 at least before end of August
It was just some weeks before the bitcoin XT drama started that everyone was saying that Bitcoin to $300 at the end of August.
And now everyone is hoping for $250.
Wow what a beautiful dilemma.
1956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLE OR INVEST? on: August 24, 2015, 05:04:02 PM
if you want to gamble go to a gambling site and have fun.
if you want to invest and earn, go to an investment site.
both cant be done in same site unless you want to invest in a gambling site go ahead.
Yes he is asking for the opinion to invest or gamble on a gambling site.

He said that- what do you think is better? is it to invest or to gamble in sites? tell me your point of view and why.

So he specified in the start about it.
1957  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Bitcointalk Accounts , From "Member" ===> "Hero Member" on: August 22, 2015, 05:26:14 PM
I want to buy a potential full member account.
Please pm me the prices of it.
1958  Economy / Speculation / Re: I dare you..... 50? on: August 22, 2015, 05:18:46 PM
I believe op is way off, and i doubt price will ever reach sub 100$ levels, but a bit under 200 is something that i would expect to happen soon enough.
There's nothing better for halving pump than a leap to such low levels, to shake off weak hands, and then a quick rebound.

agreed mate but in current condtions it is likely that we might even test the low 100s whilst not touching sub 100 levels Cheesy
No my friend. You are thinking very much about the prices of Bitcoin.
They will not get that much dumped.
Just relax and enjoy the market.
If you want to buy at this point of time, then it will be a good choice in my opinion.
1959  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people are using Bitcoin debit card? on: August 22, 2015, 05:15:59 PM
anyone using coinocard from coinomat? here https://coinomat.com/cards.php
review please Smiley
iam just wondering about it
thank you
This debit card doesn't even sound good to me.
I mean, OK it's good that they have removed the monthly but I have not found any inactivity fee.
Just a question coming in my mind..... Do all Bitcoin debit card companies request/demand the completion of  aml/KYC in process of Giving us the debit cards? Huh
If yes then I'll never think about using one in my life. Because I use bitcoins to stay anonymous.
1960  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: August 22, 2015, 05:04:15 PM
I buy low, wait ,after i sell with a high price
Not work,every time,but i use this method.

if you do it the right way, then it will work everytime. you just need to have patience and know what's causing the price to go down before you buy.

Predicting what is causing for the price movements is very difficult job. If that is true then we would have seen many successful traders to today however that is not completely true. Just trade with your own money and if you have long term vision then you can make profits from trading.

its not hard to know if the price of bitcoin goes up or down, just went to a site that give an information about the price of bitcoin today and yesterday, just go to that site everyday and you will know the price.
Or you can simply type on google bitcoin price and it will also give the price of bitcoin in your local currency also.
I use this trick everyday and also it saves my data of internet.

And what does this have to do with trading and predicting where the price will moved to in the next time? You know trading means selling and buying so that you have more coins at the end.
So I think you have got the answer of what I was talking about.
And if not, so let me tell you,I was referring Google to check the prices on daily basis and not for trading purposes. Just go to Google and type Bitcoin price and you are able to know it in a matter of seconds, so why go to a trading site then find the bitcoin prices Huh
