1961  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Web Browsers begun to have inbuilt Cryptocurrency Wallets on: February 17, 2023, 09:36:57 AM
I'm using Opera browser for quite long time. Suddenly came across the tab Crypto Wallet. This was something unexpected and going through it, we were able to see the option available to create our own wallet. Have anyone came across Web browsers having Crypto Wallet other than Opera and Brave browser. Are these wallets safe?

I am also aware of this because have seen this months ago but asking if this is safe to use? that is the thing that we cannot be assure and also never trust a wallet that you don't own your key.

and also this seems to be a trap for those users that has no knowledge about security , because as always , not our key is not our coin.
Yeah definitely safe. Brave browsers aren't as strong as most. You’d be better off with MetaMask. Opera is much better both as wallet and browser and I can vouch for it.
opera user here , though I also have Brave but only uses for forum purposes and not for surfing or other way.
1962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Polygon (MATIC) to $20? on: February 17, 2023, 08:09:41 AM
Polygon is up 12% just last 24 hours and up 24% the last week with total marketcap of $10.8 billion. This is the most gains for any coin on the coinmarketcap top 10.
Global investment firm Hamilton Lane and its $823.9 billion of assets could be the reason. https://polygon.technology/blog/hamilton-lanes-2-1-billion-fund-opens-to-individual-investors-on-polygon-via-securitize
Well bitcoin is also in that high for the last couple of weeks and also ethereum has this so it means this is not new to expect because Matic is a good and potential coins that of course I also trust.
so lets see what comes next for this coin as we as Polygon supporters? may not expect that high but at least to see it go above 5$.

BTC and ETH isn’t comparable with Matic because both of these coins position is number 1 & 2 in crypto market. Today Matic hit 1.26$ i think which is a new ATH in the last a few months. Yeah, i don’t expect 20$ but i of course hoping that it can be hit at least $5 in the next bull run.
what? not just because those are in the ranking position meaning it isn't comparable to MATIC lol.

Polygon has its character that is something other users wanted to support and use , so never understimate a currency just because it is in lower rank and valuing small amount because you will never knew what happened in the coming years.
1963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: According To me Ethereum Looks Weak on: February 17, 2023, 08:05:39 AM
Don't really care about the chart, if there is a decline as long as it is within reasonable limits per day then it's normal you don't need to worry too much about the decline. When there is a downturn and we still have reserve funds and believe that ETH has good fundamentals then accumulating ETH holdings is quite reasonable, or if you are good at reading charts you can wait until the price hits a lower level before deciding to buy more, although it is almost impossible to know for sure the lowest level of a coin.
maybe he is more concern being short term investors in which seeking for profit ASAP and that brings Him this disappointment , because if he is for long term I don't think this will be ever an issue and would surely thankful in this chances of buying more.
so Maybe I understand His sentiment and his desperation ,
Many are expecting to have a good profit in short term without understanding that bear market is preventing that from happening, even the top coins are struggling and with ETH you can see that easily on its price trend. The market is still at a weak side, there’s still no major movement that can pump the price. I still see ETH good for long term investing, patience is very important during bear market.
this is why i keep telling my friends that if they are not ready for sideways then never invest in crypto because surely they will be disappointed .
how many times that the market fluctuate and brings us losses? but eventually in the end of each year or best in every halving? we are gaining more and more .
ETH is one of the most trusted cryptocurrency so if you can avail keeping it long term then you'll surely find what you are waiting for.

Trusted CryptoCurrency is an OXYMORON.
If I cannot independently verify it, it's a scam!
so can you verify Ethereum then?  Grin

going back to the topic ,  I am supporting Ethereum because  had been using this for couple of years now , iN my gambling activities and some online Payments but of course it is Bitcoin that I still trust the most and will  support for another many years.
1964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helped my neighbor to purchase some Bitcoins on: February 16, 2023, 03:18:20 AM

He asked me why not just leave the coin on Binance so that when ever he wants to sell it, he can just use the same method; that's when I brought to his notice "Not your key, not your coin," and he was convinced.

Good act of kindness mate , you have helped Him to take His chance of getting piece of cake here in crypto.
and hope that since bitcoin today increases again? your friend will consider investing more seeing how His funds increases today because of market growth.

and Good also about telling Him not to leave coins inside exchange how trustworthy they are as the risk of losing is always there .
1965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: February 16, 2023, 03:03:16 AM
I am not here to talk about trust instead about how I use it, USDT is the fastest way of conversion for me to get fiat so  about trusting ? i care nothing as i only use this for easy conversion .
Of course I would also trust USDT as it existed already for a long time and many people use USDT if the BTC price is decreasing to maintain the value of their money. If you have $2000+ and BTC price is decreasing from $30k to $20k then buying USDT will keep your balance at $2000+ unlike keeping it in BTC where your $2000+ could be $1900+ and below.
well  , Yeah it is safe to use but best not to trust for long time, maybe  a scape goat when there is a dumping happening .
1966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what do you expect from cryptocurrency? on: February 16, 2023, 02:47:25 AM
This time i would still expect profit from crypto, i believe that crypto will make a new history this year and i believe that those who can hold will have a big gain, many expect that this year would be a bullish year for bitcoin and i hope so.but we still beed to be careful  bitcoin is still high on volatility stop loss is always a good strategy.
this year?what makes you think about that? remember that we are years far from Halving so as if we can see what will happen as this early?
My hope regarding cryptocurrencies is of course that the world of cryptocurrencies will progress, and hopefully the bear market will pass soon... and hopefully the bull market will come soon...
does it looks like not progressing? each halving price grows high and how can we not see the progress on that?
Quote
and I hope that the world economy will recover quickly, because in my opinion if the world economy goes down, the cryptocurrency world will also go down. but if the world economy progresses then the cryptocurrency world will also progress.
it is recovering mate , we are just ended the pandemic so expect long time of recovering  .
1967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: February 16, 2023, 01:51:22 AM
It is definitely sure though that someone will be knocked out. This fight might not go to a decision so I will be monitoring the odds on knockout rounds rather than just taking the win or loss which ain't profitable unless you are betting for the underdog.
Knock out rounds would be profitable if you think Tank can knock out Garcia, I think it would be in late rounds e.g. 7-9 rounds or 10-12 rounds. But for me personally it's really hard to see knock out in this match, so I will watch for the odds on winning method Tank via decision. It should be high because he's have a high KO rate. As long as Garcia isn't too careless and only want to hit Tank, he wouldn't get knocked out.
A KO is more likely to happen than this fight reaching a decision. Both fighters are KO artists, so what else can we expect? We've seen Ryan Garcia get knocked down before, and if I'm not mistaken, it was in the early rounds. So if Davis lands a punch that knocks him down this time, I don't think he'll be able to stay in the game for much longer.
all Boxers has a potential to bring their opponent down in one punch but this needs timing and strength .

Yeah Ryan Garcia have been knocked down once so there is always a chance to make this two , while Davis is also a strong fighter , this will be either a early knockout or a fight of stamina and skills to maintain their feet standing .

But personally , I am for garcia here .. Grin

I'm glad we are on the same side, mate. Garcia is also a KO artist, and although he has been knocked down once in his career, I would not underestimate his chin. He has trained hard for this fight, so I'm sure he will stand up again if that happens. On the other hand, Davis is known for his strength, but I like Garcia's size advantage in this match-up.
it is exaggerated to say that there is someone or chances that we may think about Underestimating happening here .

Both Boxer are tough and has same believer , means this fight will surely unpredictable lol.

but of course since we are on the same boat here? yes we will be looking for Garcia to win as we will also win in our bets  Grin
1968  Economy / Gambling / Re: Positive Gambling Quotes for 2023! on: February 16, 2023, 01:22:00 AM
I've always believed in the fact that 'the most intelligent or smartest doesn't win the game, the best in strategic planning has the cup.
Also, don't quit, let every experience be a motivation to want to do better.
don't take aside the luck mate , remember that even those champion losses in the underdog team not because their are completely skilled but because they have the luck that day.
we have seen this many times before though this is isolated cases , in which what you said is true, Strategy and dedication is the best weapon to win.
It doesn't fact how much experience you have, In gambling one must be bowed down to the fate. Moreover, the word "Gambling" is very familiar with the word of "Fate". Thomas Jefferson has a famous quote about fate, that is

I’m a great believer in luck,
and I find the harder I work
the more I have of it.
Is this something applicable on Gambling? Yes for strategic based one but no for luck based one.If you dont believe then it would really be ideal if you do test out about having that hard work basing up on the line.

Its better not to treat gambling as some sort of thing which could bring out huge benefits considering that it was really just intended for the sole purpose of entertainment and leisure.
Just make yourself to be intact when it comes to risk handling and you would be fine.

that stands better here , and yes it is about the type pf gambling we are playing , Luck Base is completely by chance (with very tin part of skills) while in skill game like sports betting and some of card games? then it is applicable .
but I can see it that there are many quotes here that comes from Jennifer Aniston , is she really a good in gambling?

1972  Economy / Gambling / Re: What sort of Weekly & Monthly Bonuses do Bitcointalk members want? on: February 15, 2023, 06:27:58 AM
It's nothing original, though, because before there was a casino which used to reward users through this method here. You don't need to offer a big reward, but something that will incentivize gamblers claiming it, playing and depositing more from their own pockets if they like your services.
maybe better to seek for the bonus that will be given to those forum members that truly plays in this site and not those who are hunting airdrop or freebies from casino and not playing totally to that site.
And bonuses are something that can entice gamblers to come back again and again to that casino. And if a casino can constantly give out bonuses, even if they sometimes have certain requirements, gamblers will definitely come back, especially if there is something else they can take as a free gift for them.
those are indeed from a Legitimate casinos mate , but aside from that? then it is not as effective as we see because scam sites mostly promising the same or even higher but the chance of getting your money out? is BS way to wait because it will never come after depositing .
But as long as the casino is legit, it will give out bonuses, which can be a good place to play. But we still have to be careful because we have to control our expenses and not exceed the amount we can afford to chase bonuses. And we have also experienced playing on deceptive casino sites, so we know how to anticipate it. And casinos always know how to satisfy gamblers so they can return to playing at the casino.
but how we can find a legit casino? of course for not playing in new sites or in questionable behavior of each site right?
we have all the resources in finding which and why so there is no way that we can be lured in traps.
the only reason we will fail? when green and stupidity comes to our mind for seeking instant or easy money in gambling.
1973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Excessive greed is detrimental to investment on: February 15, 2023, 05:21:51 AM

there is nothing big to lose if we will only invest small amount I mean just a chicken part of our money and try out chances to buy something we can afford to lose though it isnt advisable to invest in shitcoin yet I knew that there are some of us who truly trusted those coin for sometime now.
Yes, When we invest what can be afford to loss then the investment turns to be risk free. Most of the time people turn greedy looking someone who have won big out of shitcoins and memecoins. We need to understand it is their luck that brought the profit and not the perfect prediction.
and that is the attitude we must understand and have when we are in this kind of investment , the volatility and the decentralization is the process we must take on , not mentioning those shitcoins and those meme coins and those scammers that tries luring us to enter their project?
readiness is also what we must use as weapon to understand the risk.

Will the market go to the previous position?

It will, the least you can do is to wait for the next bull season and of course you need to stretch your patience a little more.
meaning another year or 2? or maybe 3 if necessary ?
1974  Economy / Gambling / Re: STARTING OWN CRYPTO GAMBLING SITE on: February 14, 2023, 04:00:00 AM
if you want to build a casino without KYC , you can build a decentralized casino and it looks like the script is not as difficult as building a centralized casino , usually people will just connect their wallet and play without your intervention , but to be honest it also costs money to develop , hopefully anyone interested in working with you  Wink
Op need to do some research about different types of casino so that he would be able to bring out a reasonable results that many gamblers would like. It is not by writing that he want to build one of the best casinos but every is based on the input. If op is ready for this then he should be prepared to put a lots of money to it so that he would be have a better result.
I think you are right on what you are saying okay need to at least focus or no work it is looking for exactly because I know that casino game have different varieties so it depends on the one that you are looking for so let him make us to understand exactly what is looking for because this your punch made me to understand things then you are saying
you two are talking as if OP does not have any idea about what you are pointing , he will never reach that position if he don't know about gambling sites and how to operates , what he is asking is added side of gambling in which for me? will never come out of you both because you don't even understand what are you saying.
Starting a crypto gambling site in todays world is by no means a cheap thing to do. You either need crazy innovation or a big budget.
needed a handful of ideas and money before starting a progressive gambling site as the competition is getting bigger each day.
1975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have life span? on: February 14, 2023, 03:25:41 AM
As for now, it seems like bitcoin might be timeless. It's only begun it's way to the top and someday might even become a new world currency. So I think we have a pretty good chance that bitcoin will stay with us for a really really long time. And nowadays there are no signals that bitcoin will disappear. Even if it won't become a new world currency, people still will treat it as an asset to invest in.
even if it is not timeless at least we knew that it will stay longer that any one expecting , bitcoin will serve me,my children and theirs meaning it will passed through generations.
and that long time framing is for only one thing , and that is how we must value the existence of this currency .
1976  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much time For next halving? on: February 14, 2023, 03:13:01 AM
How will the halving affect bitcoin price?
No one knows that.
In the first, second and third halving, what followed but in months were bull run. This is the logic, because the first, second and third were bull market, the fourth would most likely be of bull run too. I am expecting bitcoin to reach all-time-high by 2024 and 2025, we should keep on holding and continue to DCA when the price of bitcoin is still low now.
if not? then what will be the stand? best to be ready about what will happen mate because the first 3 halving have been a fruit for all investors/holders but the fourth might bring differently here in market.
and wondering what will be the common things from the first 3 and the next, support is what we must do for the benefits of every investors .
1977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling safer than before ? on: February 14, 2023, 02:34:27 AM

Just 2 months ago in my region unfortunately a guy in my age has been murdered in cold blood only for gambling when the victim managed to win a good amount of money against the owner of an illegal small casino. If these two people where gambling online nothing bad could happen
it is about the attitude of the people towards gambling and Money , he won and the other one cannot afford the losing so he did what means for him is right, if we gamble we must be ready to lose of course.

Quote
In the other hand gambling online also have consequences such as getting scammed by the casino as well.

you can be a scam victim or hacking it is depend on how you will find site to play and how to manage to deal from those potential hackers and scammers.

actually this is the first time that I heard about this site so no wonder why you said that you don't know them being here?
have you knew then from the past or in other forms?

As I saw the ANN thread, I tried to check the casino site to know more about the site, and well the site is okay, but I didn't see football sport except racing sports. And the only game I saw that is more in the site is dice. I will advise the op to make the casino more popular in the forum.
popularization is their main objective why they are now  proposing their site here, and also ? I think that extending their advertising will happen sooner.
Everyone copy Stake.com will not get clients this way if you are not unique
I remember that recently there are also new site that almost copied in Stake, but I think the OP did not pursue its topic.
1979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What most gamblers do. on: February 11, 2023, 06:22:05 AM
Answer is in question - it's because they are gamblers. They expect to get lucky in gambling and sort out their financial woes by winning big but it only worsens the situation.
exactly mate ,  the more they seek winning is the more losing they got and that is the sad reality in gambling , never commit in gambling if your pure intention is to get rich because you will only get the opposite part.
gamble with care and gamble with joy , so even if you lose at least you become happy.

Losing is an essential part of gambling - Jennifer Aniston

Everyone wants to win in gambling but not everyone wins. Losing in gambling is a common thing but many people don't want it so they have to accept this defeat again and again. No one gambles to lose, but accepting losses naturally can lead to winning. No one can gamble without losing.
I was wondering why Jennifer Aniston has something to say with gambling , is she a gambler herself?

________________

But lets back to the topic , this quote make sense but it isn't that essential part of gambling instead this is what gambling stands for and that is for each player to have 90% chance of losing while the 10% divided to winning and draw lol.
