1961  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Had 165k ETH stolen last night. on: July 31, 2023, 06:36:32 PM
Sorry for your loss. So after reading the story I realized that someone targeted you because he didn't transfer the funds even after looking into your $7k wallet. He knew that you have a large amount of funds and that you will use this wallet again to make transactions.
It's quite possible. Sometimes it's those closest to us that we forget to look into or don't suspect initially. I would like to ask OP who else close to him/her has access to the computer/phone they were using? Who knew about the money they had and were expecting to receive in the wallet that got emptied?

It is also possible that your computer was already under the control of the hacker, so that he could see all your activities.
I think that if the hacker had prior access to the wallet, he would have emptied it when he saw the $7k in it. Unless, of course, the person knew it's only a matter of time before something more vulnerable gets deposited there. The question OP needs to ask themselves is how could they have known, and who knew of the upcoming transaction?

A gle...
1963  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dgfinex. Scam exchange. Ask you to send 50% of deposit value to withdraw. Avoid on: July 31, 2023, 03:41:17 PM
How did she even found out about them? Was it some "friend" recommending her, or it was Google ads?
I ask myself the same question almost every time I see someone get scammed by something this obvious. Where do they find such bullshit scam sites and not notice anything wrong? Talking to support to get a deposit address to deposit should have been enough to raise some alarms. Obviously, it wasn't. And it's often people with money that get hit hard. If the story is true, she had $10.000 to waste but no time to make even the most basic of research to find 50 other exchanges where this wouldn't have happened. And then she considered borrowing an additional $5k they asked to "allow" her to withdraw the funds. Amazing.
1964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: July 31, 2023, 03:27:56 PM
<Snip>
I never said that OP shouldn't watch MMA, read about it, or become interested in the fights and individual fighters. That's normal and it's ok. My advice was not to bet on what you don't understand. I have heard people say I need one more bet for my accumulator, so let's just find something with small odds, for example. Relying on the odds provided by the bookies is a huge mistake.
1965  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dgfinex. Scam exchange. Ask you to send 50% of deposit value to withdraw. Avoid on: July 30, 2023, 06:00:24 PM
How do you know all the details, like the need to chat with customer support to deposit, transfer 50% of your initial deposit in order to withdraw, etc.? Were you a victim of the exchange or is this something their fake support team told you? I doubt they have written it somewhere in the FAQs or a help section. Scammers usually want to keep information such as the need to deposit more hidden until a victim requests a withdrawal. That's when things become interesting.

1967  Economy / Gambling / Re: Exploring the Math Behind Crash on: July 30, 2023, 07:41:18 AM
I don't think the OP ever said it was possible to beat the game using a high multiplier. True, he said, "with a low multiplier strategy," and instead, he should have said: "with any multiplier strategy." However, if you watch the video, you will understand that this is not about beating the game but mathematically proving that the game is unbeatable in the long run.
All casino games are unbeatable long-term if you consider an entire userbase of players. Some of them will profit for sure, but the house edge (any house edge) will give the casino more profit than the winnings they have to pay out.

If there was something like a bulletproof game that can make anyone rich, you wouldn't be able to play it in a casino that is interested in taking your money, not giving it to you. It would be outlawed. If you get lucky and win the first time you play, take your money and go. The longer you stay trying to win even more, you increase your chances of losing everything or giving back to the provider a big chunk of your initial win.
1968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: July 30, 2023, 07:21:44 AM
If you think about it, it's the person asking to see the betting slip to place the same bets that is being weird here. The person wants to place wagers on matches they haven't researched themselves. That's a sign of gambling addiction, where you have to bet on anything just for the thrill, even if you don't know what you are betting on.

Superstitions are common among gamblers. Lucky numbers, lucky odds, lucky teams and players. It's all in their heads and has no basis in reality.
1969  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Overview] Bitcointalk Contests And Giveaways on: July 30, 2023, 07:12:47 AM
means when the user will click on the link then he we be redirected to the ann threads , and many ann threads are old and they their images are not visible/error occurs ,  most of the information are written on images, when no images were there then the user will not get any information about specific platform and what service they provide.
Oh, I see. Well, there is nothing you can do about that. Imgur, the image host where most of the Bitcointalk pictures where hosted on in the past, no longer works on the forum. That's why many of the images got lost and are no longer visible. I have the same problem is some of my threads I created in the past.

And yeah, underlined text seems fine to me.
1970  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Had 165k ETH stolen last night. on: July 30, 2023, 07:06:36 AM
To know if the person sent it to an exchange, I think there are wallet explorer that can do that?
Such services exist for Bitcoin. If the coins get sent to an address that is a known exchange address, the sites will tag them as such. But here we are talking about Ethereum and I don't know if anyone is running a similar wallet explorer analysis service.

These are the ones I know of:
https://oxt.me/
https://www.bitcoinwhoswho.com/
https://www.walletexplorer.com/

The only one that supports altcoins I have heard of is https://www.breadcrumbs.app/.

To everyone: I am afraid about it. Even though I never keep my private key online, is there any way I can check if my wallet is already compromised or not? Is there any wallet that shows login logs? Do you guys believe we can request such a feature to some wallet providers and do you think they may consider it?
If your wallet was compromised, your coins would most probably have been stolen by now. You can't have such a service of tracing who logs in and from where without infringing on your privacy. Serious wallet developers will never consider something like that. Tracking logins is something you have on centralized exchanges, and that's not where you should keep your crypto.
1971  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Online Sports Betting Platform By BetFact Company No Setup Fee !!! on: July 29, 2023, 06:18:56 PM
you can check our company example here : https://xazar.bet/
Is this a real online casino or just a demo platform you set up to showcase your product?
If it's live, I noticed a few things immediately. Before I continue, is anyone in your team a native English speaker or where are you from?

I opened a random match from the live tab.

- Football (soccer) doesn't have quarters. It has two halves.
- What is "table match" supposed to mean? Match statistics maybe?
- It's not called "Penality", but Penalty.
- You have probably misspelled the name of the Stadium. I don't think such a stadium exists.
- Celemnt torbin? I guess it's supposed to be Clement Turpin, the French referee. Names should be capitalized.

When you click on the Register button, a new page pops up where it says "Registartion". The correct word is Registration. On top of the same page, there is a question saying "Already a have account?". It should be Already have an account?

So the casino's name is Xazer.bet, but at the top of the page you have a button "About betbandi"! At the bottom of the page I can also see the text copyright BetFury.

All that makes me think this can't possibly be a finished product for your clients. Still, things like that are an instant turn-off for me. Good luck with your business model and I hope you can make a professionally looking casino.
1972  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: July 29, 2023, 05:52:44 PM
Cool design. I like the dark colors in the background.
It reminds me of old-school computer games, like Tetris and the 1980s-1990s. The cubes on the top right made me think of it. I don't know if that is what you were aiming for.

I have a suggestion for the line on the left (with the pink square at the top) that looks like a vertical timeline. It would look cool if you could drag the square up and down the site to make it scroll up and down. Would that be doable?
1973  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: List of VPN Service Providers - 2023 on: July 29, 2023, 01:58:09 PM
It probably depends on the company's location and the geo location of the users connecting to their servers. I am sure they are required by law to keep logs that could be recovered in case of criminal activities by the users. It's not the same if the VPN provider operates outside of the Five Eyes countries (or one of the other X Eyes countries) or some exotic off-grid territory ,though. To be on the safe side, I would rather think they are storing logs unless proven otherwise.
1974  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: walletgeneratordotnet scam Paper wallet generation scam on: July 29, 2023, 01:52:07 PM
The government were able to take down mixers but unable to taken down these scam paper wallet generator websites.
Mixers are a problem to the governments because being able to mix gives you certain freedoms they don't wish you to have. The perfect citizen isn't anonymous. He is an open book they can peek into whenever needed. Anything that enables freedom, privacy, and anonymity is, therefore, a threat. And threats need to be handled with swiftly. To protect the nation, of course. Saying the service was used for money laundering and financing terrorism is the perfect cover. Luckily, such things were never and will never be possible with their banking buddies who do everything by the book. Roll Eyes

They don't care if people get bitten by fake wallet generators. It just means more users will get disappointed with Bitcoin and will go back to traditional finance where they have greater oversight.
1975  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I got scammed by Freewallet.org for 120000 USDT TRC20. SCAM alert!  Don't use th on: July 29, 2023, 08:07:47 AM
Exactly. But if you keep something away from the internet then how can you use it in the online service.
Like I said, they can, you can't. I don't know how many people have managed to get their coins back after they got taken and frozen due to "security reasons". But if the Freewallet team wants to give you back your coins, they have the means, regardless of cold or hot wallet. Elon Musk got his tokens stolen at one point using this scam wallet, but I am sure they gave it back to avoid further negative press. Many other people aren't going to be that lucky.
1976  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Had 165k ETH stolen last night. on: July 29, 2023, 07:56:22 AM
What wallet did you use to deposit those ETH tokens to and on what kind of system? Phone, desktop?
Very little you can do about it now unfortunately.

I would reformat my device, wipe everything, and seriously consider my online actions and personal security. You need to ask yourself what you did to get infected, how, and where. You must have downloaded something, clicked on some malware links, or given permissions to dubious software.

Regarding the transaction and tracking it. You can hope the scammer makes a mistake and sends it to a CEX with a KYCed account. But even if they do, you'll have to file a police report with local authorities who will have to start an investigation. The exchange won't lock or freeze anyone's coins without proof and the involvement of a government agency.
1977  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: digiruf on: July 29, 2023, 07:27:10 AM
Ps. which regulatory agency [if any] in Texas, would one approach over this type of thing, thank you?
If they fed your lady friend a bunch of bullshit to get her to (fake) invest with them, what makes you think they are actually headquartered where they say they are or based in USA at all? If the investment was online, they could be anywhere in the world. How did you find out about their former name if there is no information online? Did they tell your friend? That could be another lie.

I did a search on "digiruf" and I got no result but as for the former name "capital investment hub" I found out that it is an online forex broker. If indeed you're referring to an online broker or anything related to an investment you have to explain more and if possible add more links.
If you check the OP, Sylvieee said Capital Investments Hub (with an "s" in the end). Maybe he made a mistake, who knows.
You probably found this site (https://capitalinvestmenthub.com/index.html), same as me. Based on https://www.wikifx.com/en/dealer/2831798801.html, they aren't licensed or regulated, and investors should better stay away.
1978  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: stake.com new cheating video. Betid and results changing on live session. on: July 29, 2023, 06:53:03 AM
seriously 2 ids ,with all advertisment same. dude you are exposed.
You know, it takes a lot of stupidity to amaze me. So I want to congratulate you on your achievement. You have managed to do that in a very short amount of time. You have exposed my alt accounts based on the signature that was the same. Grin That's incredible detective work. Did you to it yourself or was it a combined effort by the smartest individuals you know?

I hope you are aware that there is an active Sinbad signature campaign on the forum right now. It might surprise you how many Sinbad sigs you will see on Bitcointalk. Try not to freak out when you do, ok!
1979  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Scammers have created fake crypto projects using the X.com name. on: July 29, 2023, 06:46:13 AM
just want to add that here are some more accounts that posted the same project.
https://twitter.com/XTokenBEP
https://twitter.com/X_TokenBSC
The first one has already been deleted. The other one is still alive, but has less than 500 followers and is not a big threat yet. It should still be deleted though for the safety of everyone involved.

it's either there are not enough reports being made against the scam account to warrant an action or they probably just don't care.
Don't forget that Elon fired many people, and Twitter has less staff now than what they had in the past. It's obvious they will be struggling on all fronts because of that.
1980  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Overview] Bitcointalk Contests And Giveaways on: July 29, 2023, 06:33:56 AM
some ann threads are old and their images are not available what will we do about that?
What is it with you and images?  Grin You keep mentioning images, but I never once said you should add any images inside the tables or anywhere else. I am talking about links to the announcement threads or profiles of users, that's all.

Look. There is no image. It's just a link to Sinbad's ANN thread. Forget about images. Click on the link and see where it takes you.
