Bangladesh needs to be cautious here. They have a lead of 30 runs and already they have lost two wickets. If the target for New Zealand is somewhere around 150 (Bangladesh made 172 in the first innings), then there is a real chance that the Kiwis will be able to chase it down. So far Tim Southee and Ajaz Patel have taken one wicket each and Zakir Hasan as well as Mominul Haque are at the crease. Even now I would say that Bangladesh is having the upper hand. But at the same time, they can't venture on any adventures.

@Sithara007 Sometimes it's not a bad strategy when your defense is weak and why wait for the magic ball? Just swing it, have fun and add a few runs as well. You will live and die by the sword.
The pitch still looking good and reacting well for the spinners. Collapse or go for quick runs but don't play defensive because it won't be enough. Agreed. Anyway, the partnership is broken now. Kyle Jamieson has been picked up by Shoriful Islam and that is the end of the 8th wicket partnership which added 55 valuable runs for New Zealand (incidentally yesterday at the close of play they were at 55/5). Now the captain Tim Southee has come to join Glenn Phillips. New Zealand still needs another 21 runs to take the first innings lead, and if they can do it, then it will be a huge psychological boost. But then, Bangladesh just need two more wickets to wrap up this innings.

In Zimbabwe vs Ireland team match Zimbabwe team won by 1 wicket. It was a tough fight between two teams. Both team players tried to play very well to win the match. Ireland team could not win the match for a bit. I thought Ireland team will win this match. Ireland team. The batsmen did not bat very well in this match. However, the Ireland team started performing well in the bowling line in the first innings. The Zimbabwe team did a great performance in bowling and batting.
Well.. plenty of matches remaining in this tour. Let's see whether Ireland can make a comeback or not. The problem with Ireland is that they don't have much depth in their player pool. If you look at what happened in the match yesterday, you can find that their main players (Andy Balbirnie, Harry Tector, Craig Young and Josh Little). But the younger players failed completely (Gareth Delany for example). I don't know the exact reason. Maybe the weak first-class domestic structure within Ireland is the reason for this.

New Zealand looks comfortable so far. On day 1, at the close of play they were 55/5. Now they have crawled to 84/5. Daryl Mitchell is batting carefully, but from the other end Glenn Phillips is playing in T20 mode. Just now he managed to hit Mehidy Hasan Miraz for a six over square leg. He seems to have realized that under these conditions, defense is not the best strategy. BTW, the Bangladeshi captain is sustaining with his two strike bowlers - Taijul Islam and Taijul Islam. They have now bowled continuously for 18 overs in this spell.

Looks like Nepal is in some sort of trouble against their match with Pakistan. They are 32/2 and Dev Khanal is at the crease along with Arjun Kumal. Amir Hassan and Ubaid Shah have so far taken one wicket each for Pakistan. Nepal should be happy if they are able to reach to a total of around 200. That would be a decent score against a strong Pakistan squad, which features many players with first class experience. BTW, Afghanistan has got a good start in their match against India U-19. They are at 40/1. Tomorrow we have Japan in action, as they will be facing Sri Lanka.

The 2023 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup is underway at the United Arab Emirates, and matches will be played in Dubai. Apart from the 5 full member nations from India, 3 additional associate nations have qualified from the ACC Men's Under-19 Premier Cup (Nepal, United Arab Emirates and Japan). The fact that Japan qualified for this tournament is very surprising, as they managed to get the cut ahead of more well established teams such as Oman, Singapore and Malaysia. That said, they have an immigrant dominated squad, with only one or two natives.

Bangladesh scored 172/10 in 2nd test match in first day where i haven't found any mentionable batsman who is worth mentionable for good score while Mushfiqur Rahim's unusual (obstructing the field) result disappointed most of bd supporters and Mitchell Santner & Glenn Phillips fot 3 wickets each but i wonder how Bangladesh took wickets and stop new Zealand within 55/5 where Mehidy Hasan Miraz got 3 wickets. I think Bangladesh could stopped rest of batsmans within low score but today match abandoned due to rain. Even there is possiblity to rain tomorrow all the day. It seems rain want to keep interfering for change the final result.
Probably by today the outcome will be clear. If New Zealand can get to somewhere around 200 (that looks outright impossible as of now), then they have a chance to remain alive in this match. Rain is not a concern as of now, as the weather forecast is quite clear for the next 3 days. Don't forget the fact that Bangladesh is already leading the series by 1-0. They don't need to take any unwanted risk. I am sure that 1-0 result for the series would be much more palatable for them compared to 1-1. Therefore I would like them to play safe, when they come to bat.

It would be strange if Germany, as the number 1 seeded team, ended up in a difficult group. Since the number of groups was increased by 50% (from 4 to 6), half of the groups are extremely easy and such an event as a death group almost never occurs. Moreover, if you consider that not only the first two places get to the 1/8 finals, but also four teams that took third place in the groups, it turns out that the entire group stage is a farce.
They increased the number of teams from 16 to 24 from the 2016 tournament onwards. And this means that now there is a PQF round ahead of the Quarter-finals. Germany may qualify for the PQF stage, as it is not a very difficult task for them. But to proceed to the QF stage will be difficult. As of now, given their current form I am not expecting any miracles from Germany. I will be very surprised if they reach the semis. IMO, France and England have the maximum probability to win the Euro Cup this time.

Good to see a very close match between Ireland and Zimbabwe. This was a match that Ireland would have won. In the last ball, 2 runs were required to win, and no.11 batsman Blessing Muzarabani was on strike. But Barry McCarthy couldn't win the match for his team and allowed Muzarabani to take two runs and thereby win the match for Zimbabwe. The two top pacers of Ireland returned combined figures of 8-0-37-4 (Craig Young and Josh Little), while the other two (Mark Adair and Barry McCarthy) returned 8-0-73-4. And then the spinners were wayward (Gareth Delany and George Dockrell) and conceded crucial runs.

Ireland is off to a flying start, despite losing the toss and being asked by Zimbabwe to bat first. They are at 52/1 after 6 overs, with Andy Balbirnie batting at 32. Two Zimbabwean players are making their international debut today - Brian Bennett and Trevor Gwandu. Craig Ervine is not playing as a result of injury. Ireland has a near-full strength side with the pace attack to be led by Craig Young and Josh Little with Barry McCarthy and Mark Adair to backup. Spin will be handled by George Delany, with some support from George Dockrell.

The way the weather conditions are so far, there may be rain till tomorrow, so if tomorrow's game is not played on the field, then the win or loss of the match for the next two days cannot be confirmed, in which case the match will be more likely to be a draw. If Bangladesh could have given a target of more than 250 runs in the first innings, then it would have been possible to defeat New Zealand if Bangladesh had set a target of 300 runs in the second innings. But if tomorrow is left out, it will be impossible to get all out in 2 innings i.e. collect 20 wickets in two days. In this case, the second test is abandoned if there is rain and if there is no rain, there is a possibility of a draw. There is only 2% chance of rain tomorrow and that is excellent news for Bangladesh. Same is the case for 4th and 5th day. That means that Bangladesh has an excellent opportunity to win this series by a margin of 2-0. But I don't see much benefit from this series win for Bangladesh. They are still pathetic in SENA conditions and against pig-3 teams. And they are overdependent on a few players who are nearing retirement. Younger players are not coming through, probably due to the low quality of domestic cricket.

Esat west africa cup 2nd match Mali won toss and gave Cameroon to batting CMR made 144/5 in 17 overs. DLS method three overs reduced and 17 overs match have been played. Mali bowlers was not good in bowling they gave 31 extras runs to CMR team only Theodore Mody takes 23/3 wickets in 4 overs. The target for Mali team is 152 (DLS method) and they make only 112/8 runs in 17 overs Excellent bowling by Bruno Toube takes 13/3 wickets in 4 overs also Atangana and dipita loic takes 2, 2 wickets and Cameroon team won this match by 39 runs.
This tournament (North-West/East Qualifier) is one of the regional qualifiers for the 2023 ACA Africa T20 Cup. A total of 7 teams are taking part - Cameroon, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Rwanda and Sierra Leone. The other regional qualifier is the Southern Africa Cup, in which 5 teams are taking part - Mozambique, Mauritius, Malawi, Eswatini and Botswana. The previous edition (2022 ACA Africa T20 Cup) was won by Uganda, and Tanzania was the runners up. It is being organized by the African Cricket Association (ACA). BTW, Ireland has been asked to bat first in their T20I match against Zimbabwe.

Sam Curran is the man of the match against the West Indies cricket team in yesterday's match. He took 3 wickets and gave too low runs in 7 overs which made him man of the match and because of their bowling he out the three best and important batsmen of West Indies. He also did a no ball but we don't count it because he has cleared his loss by taking wickets and with dots balls, so he did very good bowling but from somewhere he is not good but still, he is a good asset for the team. Sam Curran is the main player in this match.
Went for 98 runs from 9.5 overs in the first match. A bit more consistency is expected from a senior player like him. Also, Sam Curran is one of the most sought out players in the IPL. Given this, his performance during the first match was quite disappointing. BWT, Rehan Ahmed picked up a total of 4 wickets in these two matches (including those of Romario Shepherd and Sherfane Rutherford). I am sure that he will play a significant role in the third ODI as well. A series win is much needed for both the teams, at this point.

Bangladesh are used to playing in their own stadium, on the other hand, their preparation for Test matches is very good, so they can play well against New Zealand. Meanwhile, New Zealand could not bat due to rain. The target given by Bangladesh in the first innings is very small but New Zealand is losing wickets fast in this direction so it seems that New Zealand will not be able to score more runs than Bangladesh. So of course I agree with you that New Zealand is going to lose the second match as well
Three days are remaining and the weather forecast is not looking that good. If New Zealand can get to a decent score, then things will get tricky for Bangladesh. Remember that their first innings score is too low and there is no chance of New Zealand following on. When they came out to bat again, especially if there is rain interruption, then Bangladesh batsmen will be in a dilemma. They need to score runs quickly, but then the pitch is not that supportive of that style of batting. And New Zealand do have some good spinners.

There is a match between South Africa A and West Indies A going on at Bloemfontein. South Africa looks like they are going to win the ongoing match, as West Indies need another 386 runs with 9 wickets in hand. In the first innings, West Indies was bowled out for just 126 runs. And they actually have a star studded side for this match, which includes players such as Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Joshua Da Silva, Kevin Sinclair and Jayden Seales. On the other hand, South African squad is led by Neil Brand, and only Hardus Viljoen and Duanne Olivier are known to me.

The first T20I match between Ireland and Zimbabwe will be played today at the Harare Sports Club. Remember that Zimbabwe failed to qualify for the 2024 T20I World Cup, and Ireland is not in great form either. Since Zimbabwe is having the home advantage, I would expect them to have an upper hand in this series. But at the same time, the same Zimbabwe side lost out not just to Namibia, but also to Uganda during the recently concluded 2022–23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier (and thereby failed to qualify for the world cup).

West Indies lost yesterday's match in a very good way, when they won the first match so we thought that maybe they would start playing well again and build cricket at its peak by using their power hitter and bowlers but unfortunately, they can't make runs and their team all out on 39 overs.
I think in the first match, England took West Indies lightly and by chance, because of their pride they lost but at this time, they were fully prepared for the match and entered the game and they took the lead. Now, I don't think we can see the West Indies team in any ICC trophies after the 2024 T20 World Cup, by the way, their performance is not good for playing T20 World Cup but they hosted it so that's why they will play.
England came back to form after their pathetic defeat in the first match. And now the third ODI will decide who will win the series. Rehan Ahmed once again had a decent spell and this is great news for England. They really need a quality spinner and we need to remember that Rehan is just 19 years old. If properly groomed, he can be a good asset for England. That said, the two pacers (Sam Curran and Gus Atkinson) also played a major role in their win yesterday, and so did the part-time spinner Liam Livingstone (picked up 3 wickets).

This time England won the toss and asked West Indies to bat first. And they had West Indies down to 23/4, with Sam Curran picking up three early wickets (the same bowler went for close to 100 runs in the first match). But after that Shai Hope and Sherfane Rutherford have stabilized the innings and they have added 82 runs so far. Now England needs to break this partnership, if they want to gain an upper hand in this match. Romario Shepherd is to come next, but after that it is going to be the lower order. So if England can get 1-2 more wickets, then they can get the match under their control.

After Bangladesh team lost all wickets for 172 runs I don't think they can dominate or win this match. I thought that since Bangladesh batted very badly in the first innings, New Zealand will dominate this match. And will avenge the defeat of the first match. But I was very surprised by the batting of the New Zealand batsmen. New Zealand lost 5 of their key batsmen for just 46 runs. I felt helpless against Miraj and Taijlul from New Zealand players. If these two Bangladeshi bowlers can do such a good performance in the coming days, then there is a possibility of losing all the wickets before New Zealand collects 100 runs. No wonder New Zealand conceded yet another humiliating defeat.
In this type of pitch, even a total of 172 can be very formidable. And here is the importance of all the runs added by the lower order batsmen. At one point, Bangladesh were at 123/6, and then at 135/7. If New Zealand was able to bowl them out for a total of less than 150, then the Kiwis would have got the psychological advantage. But they floundered that chance and in return their batsmen fell like a peck of cards. I don't have much hope for New Zealand tomorrow. They need another 118 runs to take first innings lead. Given their performance with the bat so far, that looks impossible.

Indian women fought really hard, but in the end they went down against England Women. Outcome of the match was pretty much decided when Danni Wyatt and Nat Sciver-Brunt added 138 runs for the 3rd wicket. The good news for India is that Renuka Singh is back in form and she returned figures of 4-0-27-3. But almost everyone else went for more than 10 runs per over (which was expected at the Wankhede). And in return only Shafali Verma could put up a decent total and no one else got to 30. And not surprisingly, it was the England spinners who did the damage.
