There's a sexcoin now? Shocked

Hehe yea and they act out like they are rich already. I mean, I like the idea. Might not work all the way but might can have potential.

You got a link to its thread? What's it selling point and why is it called Sexcoin?

The reasons for the fall?

19645  Economy / Speculation / Re: This "Crash" is a good thing on: December 06, 2013, 07:41:18 PM
OH goodness... A crash down to 800USD/BTC? Cry me a river...  Cry

haha. It'll probably back to a grand by monday any way, or some big company will announce they're now gonna accept it and to the moon!
19646  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] iPad Mini White 16gb Boxed UK on: December 06, 2013, 07:16:18 PM

offers should be made at the delivered price (1st recorded)

You might want to send it special or next day delivery. Otherwise it's only insured up to £50, and half of the time they don't bother collecting signatures from just 1st class recorded, and with special/next day you at least get to check the signature online and is insured up to a few hundred I think.
19647  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Just sent a 1 btc fee by accident with blockchain... Can anything be done? on: December 06, 2013, 07:01:58 PM
I doubt it can... I used blockchain and filled out the wrong fields for a custom transaction. I cannot believe it didn't give me a warning or anything... This really blows.

Jeeze. I wonder what the biggest fee has been. Or is 1btc the max?

Use one of the existing offers.

This. You're not gonna get any better offers than what's already available. Plus, you can't even put links in your sig until 10 posts.
19650  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will be destroyed by early adopters on: December 06, 2013, 06:23:40 PM
Overvalued in what way? It's only value is in what people are prepared to pay, Sounds like you just want to catch a cheap ride on the bitcoin train back up.
On the contrary, i´m selling as fast as my asic will mine. I dont trust this bubble. No idea when it will crash or far it will still rise before then.

What makes you think it's a bubble? It's gone from over 1000-ish to 9000-ish a few times the past couple of weeks and always bounced back. Seems silly to sell now imo, unless you're doing day trades.
19651  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Bitcoin a Woman? on: December 06, 2013, 06:20:28 PM
Bitcoin is trans; a chick with a dick.
But why? Cheesy

Are you really asking me for a rational explanation in a thread asking whether Bitcoin is a woman or not? haha  Grin
19652  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will be destroyed by early adopters on: December 06, 2013, 06:09:41 PM
according to mt gox it only takes one market dump of 87,000 btc to take price back down to $50 yip yip

Is this amount based on real life evidence or just speculation?

Actually i think that is fairly inevitable since bitcoin is far too overvalued currently.
A drop to more sane levels and trending steadily upwards afterwards via organic growth instead of speculation would be a lot healthier imho.

I am sorry but I receive the message: "The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago. Please try again later." even when it is the first time I post. Maybe my provider (Virgin in the UK) is using dynamic IP. But please consider us.   Sad

Yeah, this happened for me quite a lot when I started, but it's fine now. No post time limit either.

It seems like maybe they are counting a log in as a "posting."

I've only ever logged into this site twice, and the second time was only recently after the man in the middle attack, but I still got the 'The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago' quite a bit.
19655  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crash starts today on: December 06, 2013, 05:52:31 PM
Hmm... sounds like someone's sour that they missed the boat...

Welcome to bitcointalk.org. Place is full of cryptoplebs slagging off all other coins except the ones they hold. They think they're serious currency traders cos they bought a million bbqcoins and infinitecoins off ebay for $10, and now want to become millionaires because pizza.
19656  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The biggest annoyances as a new user on bitcointalk on: December 06, 2013, 05:12:30 PM
i'm subscribed to no less than 10 different forums
this is by far the worst when it comes to all the rules and regulations
the 6 minute waiting period is also very annoying
and no it doesn't stop spam
because spammers can also wait 6 minutes Smiley

It might not stop them, but it at least slows them down / makes things difficult. It's more to stop ddos attacks.
then why does this forum get attacked so often?
seems like if you are unable to ddos a site people simply choose a different attack method
anyways, i think [Suspicious link removed]hould allow accounts without password as the password gets revealed to the hackers anyways

It's not foolproof; just a precautionary measure.
19657  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crash starts today on: December 06, 2013, 04:53:42 PM
The price of bitcoin is now dropping it is now at $945 and going lower and lower

I bet that the price of bitcoin will go to less than $100 before the year ends

How much do you want to bet?
19658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If confirmation takes 10 minutes, how will I buy coffee at Starbucks? on: December 06, 2013, 04:34:58 PM
I think a more important question here is why are you buying coffee at Starfucks?

Please sign a message to me via Bitcoin.
My address should be in my signature, and here:

That would be great but how do you know if it is the real Satoshi sending you a message?

I'm sure he doesn't care. It's just a way of trying to get BTC donations.
