19741  Economy / Economics / Re: volatility and transaction fees... on: June 13, 2017, 03:31:49 AM
Votality will settle with age. Bitcoin is still way too young to demand stability. The main problem here is miner's or transaction fees coupled with long transaction time. And as the price goes up, even 100 sat per byte fee will be  huge in $ terms.

But if the fee is too high, then there will be less incentive to use Bitcoin. People will be more tempted to use altcoins such as Ether and Litecoin, which are having low fees and faster confirmations. An ideal solution would be to keep the fees at a reasonable level, and hope for an increase in the number of transactions.
19742  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: June 13, 2017, 03:29:13 AM
Surely bitcoin as it has an ability to give me best profits in quick time which is never possible with gold as to make profits from gold you need to hold if for a very long time which is not possible for me.

Gold is essentially meant to hold your wealth securely. Giving profit is not one of its main aims. Historically, gold has been used as an asset to defend the wealth against inflation. And if you check the price charts, you can see that its performance is better than that of the stock exchanges and real estate.
19743  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Terrorist siege in the Philippines. on: June 13, 2017, 03:24:23 AM
Kill them all. That's currently the president's directive to the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the police. He even snubbed the offer for a dialogue coming from the mother herself of the Maute brothers, the main group leading the attack. President Duterte's decision not to accept the offer for a talk was simple: he has several policemen and military killed already. There is no need for a talk then. The terrorists have to suffer no less than death.

He is right. There should be no dialogue with the ISIS. What is the use of dialogue? They will just get more time to prepare themselves for an even bigger battle. That should not be allowed. They must be destroyed in the bud itself.

That's what people love about President Duterte. He has no non-sense policy against the terrorist. He is wants an all out war because he knows that if their is dialogue, nothing positive would came about it. The government have already put a $10 million bounty on the head of the leader of the Maute and for sure its just a matter of time close to him would turn to government and point where they are hiding. Similar to what happened to a Marwan(another terrorist) who was killed by the AFP, but unfortunately a lot has died on the government forces (SAF-44). No dialogue, they have started this siege in Marawi, Duterte will finished it.

Still, this incident makes me less optimistic of the situation there. There were many people online blatantly rooting for the terrorists even though it were mostly Muslims suffering from the siege. Duterte even blamed some people there for tolerating the rise of these fundamentalists.

It is not surprising. Even in the Western nations such as the United Kingdom, there are a lot of Muslims who openly support the radical terrorist organizations such as the ISIS and the Al Qaeda. Any attempt to weed out these people is termed as an attack against Muslims.
19744  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UN drugs board slams killings in Philippines on: June 13, 2017, 03:22:18 AM
President Duterte is the answer to the increasing used of prohibited drugs and crimes in the Philippines. If no Duterte then who can combat those kinds of problems? Duterte is a man of action he do what he says and its happening now.

I appreciate him for his tough stance. But if he loses power, then it is going to be bad for him. His opponents will accuse him of mass murder and they will put him behind bars for the rest of his life. He should be really careful about his future plans.
19745  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Diplomatic Crisis in Qatar on: June 13, 2017, 02:29:22 AM
I think it's just stupid that they'd go to Iraq for a hunting trip considering the situation there. As for the ransom, well these are royalties, it's not like anyone can stop them from paying that ransom.

The Arabs are obsessed with the aphrodisiac properties of the Houbara bustard. They believe that its meat is better than viagra or cialis. In the Arabian peninsula, this bird is extinct. The remaining populations can be found in countries such as Pakistan and Iraq. That is the reason why they make constant hunting trips to these countries.
19746  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When iran water crisis hit, trap them and let them all die on: June 13, 2017, 02:25:09 AM
Not to mention the method they use is still costly. I don't know from other desalination plants but they still seem to have distillation plants. I wonder how many of their desalination plants use reverse osmosis instead, like in Singapore and Israel.

They are mostly depending on distillation rather than reverse osmosis. They have got cheap oil, and therefore they can afford distillation. But it is a very environmentally unfriendly practice. RO requires a lot advanced technology and constant maintenance. And also, the best available RO technology is from Israel. That may be one of the reasons why they are not much interested in RO.
19747  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think ISIS uses Bitcoin? on: June 13, 2017, 02:22:01 AM
A few ISIS supporters probably use bitcoin but I doubt ISIS does, I mean its not possible to use it offline and ISIS isn't exactly known for their strongholds in the middle of the developped world.

In the event that they use bitcoins eventually, they are going to have to convert it into fiat and that does going to be a whole lot of problem, unless the persons they do business with accepts bitcoins as a means of payment.

There are many anonymous exchangers in which you can easily exchange the Cryptocurrency for Fiat. In this case, no one will ask you for documents that certify the person.

Unless you are dealing with physical cash, it is quite easy to track the fiat currency. Bitcoins can't be tracked with ease, but once you convert it to fiat, it can easily be traced. As far as I know, the exchanges will credit fiat in your bank accounts only. They will not give you physical cash.
19748  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Save the planet or not on: June 13, 2017, 02:19:41 AM
That is why environmental laws and prohibitions on emissions need to be adopted at the international level. The rules should be the same for all countries. This will give a chance to save nature from pollution and the planet from death

I guess the laws are the same everywhere. But it is the implementation, which differ. In Western nations, the firms will get punished severely if they don't follow the regulations. But in countries such as China, there is hardly any monitoring, and even if you are caught you can avoid the consequences by paying bribes to the officials.
19749  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War 3 on: June 13, 2017, 02:17:20 AM
You paint a picture of the Apocalypse, but scientific confirmation of this. No one really knows how the radiation from the explosion. Maybe it's fake scientists to anybody in a head has not come to use nuclear weapons.

It has been scientifically proven. In addition to all those who died as a result of burn injuries in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, many tens of thousands died later as a result of exposure to radiation. Also, there was a sharp increase in the incidence of cancer.
19750  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS is nothing compared to U.S. cops. on: June 13, 2017, 01:55:26 AM
In America there are entire neighborhoods in which African Americans live and there is very developed criminality. The cops know about this and the habit to pay more attention to African-Americans have with all the cops. Even if the COP himself is black.

It has more to do with the crime rates. The African Americans are almost 10 times as likely as the non-Hispanic whites to indulge in violent crime such as murder, rape and home invasion. So it will not surprise me if the blacks are stopped more by the cops. It has nothing to do with racism. They are just trying to prevent the crimes.
19751  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Muslims, Terror and the Front Page! on: June 13, 2017, 01:52:36 AM
And thanks to ISIS, Muslims will become the world's largest religion in just few years. They will end up killing or converting people from other religions and Christianity would be the second largest religion then.

If the Muslims actually becomes the largest religion in the world, it will not be as a result of the physical Jihad. There is another form of Jihad, which everyone ignores. It is known as the "demographic Jihad". Muslim women produce 10-12 children each, and conquer the world peacefully through them. Look at Kosovo. It was historical Christian homeland. Now it is like 97% Muslim.
19752  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why most terrorist are Muslim? on: June 13, 2017, 01:49:28 AM
30,000 Islamic terror attacks since 9/11.  All over the world, all types of societies. Maybe except Japan and China.

And you need to ask yourself why there are no Islamist terror attacks in China and Japan. In case of Japan, it is very simple. There are very few Muslims in Japan. They are not interested in the mass immigration of uneducated and uncivilized Arabs to their country. But even with a large native Muslim population, China has avoided Muslim terror.
19753  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New sanctions against Russia. on: June 13, 2017, 01:47:18 AM
I do not agree with you. what businessman Trump I don't know. Did anyone see his Declaration? Who knows, maybe he bankrupt? Putin is also not a businessman. It is a banal thief. His condition is not earned, but stolen from the Russian state.

It is the opinion of the Russian people, which matter the most. For them, Putin is a savior. He took office in 1999, when most of the national wealth was looted by the oligarchs under the drunkard pro-western dictator Boris Yeltsin. He put some of those oligarchs behind bars, while most of the others fled to Western nations such as the United Kingdom.
19754  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Melania On The Piano Together With Donald - Beautiful Trump Family Photo on: June 13, 2017, 01:43:41 AM
I also read that her lover, the owner of a jewelry store located in Trump tower. It is for this reason Melanie doesn't want to move to the white house. I don't like Trump so I don't blame her. He was an old idiot to live with him is impossible.

ROFL.. This is all you got about her? First it was the wild accusation that she worked as an escort. Now she is having a lover in the Trump tower. You guys are getting really desperate it seems.
19755  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Up Like Trump on: June 13, 2017, 01:40:55 AM
I would be more down on Trump for neglecting Saudi Arabia where many 'terrorist' (aka, patsies) passed through, but it turns out that the main reason for this location of transit was that it was a convenient locale for the CIA to run these people through for a relatively long time period.  Some state dept whistle-blower gave a pretty good interview on this.  If Trump's team changes that (and I'm no holding my breath) then Saudi Arabia probably isn't excessively risky.

Saudi Arabia isn't sending any refugees to the United States (although they are sending tens of thousands of students to the American universities every year). That may have been one of the reasons why there was no ban on Saudi Arabia, and yet there was one for Syria.
19756  Other / Politics & Society / Re: In France, the party of Macron won the election in the first round. on: June 13, 2017, 01:37:09 AM
The Russians finally lost the battle for France. Party Macron received a majority in the elections. I wonder why in America the Russians have such an impact that can influence elections. I am sure that without third-party support is an idiot like Trump could not win the election.

Do you Ukrainians need to drag in Russia in each and everyone of the threads? Russia was probably not concerned about the French elections. They simply don't care. France is no more a super-power. It is a vassal nation of the United States, and recently it has been acting as a colony of Germany. The election of Macron confirms that trend.
19757  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hillary is just beginning to fight. on: June 13, 2017, 01:35:12 AM
I don't pray for war but the way thing are we can see it signed all over social media, television and radio propaganda and YouTube and others video propagation. If Hillary is just begin to fight because she loses an election is that mean she doesn't have the love of her country at heart as claim.

Hillary is fighting for her own survival. The email server scandal was just the tip of the iceberg. Dozens of people who were associated with her have died in mysterious circumstances. If an inquiry is launched on it, then I am sure that the skeletons will start rolling out of the closet.
Hilary has probably left policy. It can only be for the positions of an Eminence Grise in politics. I doubt that the Democrats once again will make her bet. She is a political corpse. Though of course she would long to have great political influence.

The Clinton crime family has remained as the backbone of the Democrat party for the past many decades. Even when Barack Obama was the president (from 2008 to 2016), many say that it was Hillary Clinton who was running the show from behind. She is not going to retire anytime soon. The last time I heard, she was planning to run for the Mayor post in New York.
19758  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where would society be without the internet? on: June 13, 2017, 01:33:03 AM
In that case, there are some worries we would not have since we wouldnt make things complicated for ourself . Although, it has brought about significant solutions to many challenges and has made much impact in world socialization.

As an individual it would have been better if there was no internet, people would more socialize physically and will be having more time to know about their friends and family but as a society internet has given an unlimited edge to see and understand things which we could never know about.
More pros than cons, so we need it.

There is no guarantee that people will socialize more. If there is no internet, then they will spend time on TV or music. Also, apps such as Facebook and  Instagram has made it possible to interact more with our family and friends, even if they are living in distant locations.
19759  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "All 17 intelligence agencies agree that Russia hacked the US election" on: June 13, 2017, 01:31:09 AM
Then you have to define the term "hacking". The voting machines were not connected to the internet, and the only possible way to hack them is to do it manually for each of the machines. Do you think that it is possible?
19760  Economy / Economics / Re: New rich people thanks to BTC on: June 12, 2017, 06:05:39 AM
I wanted to increase my BTC holdings, and actually I was planning to do the same in April when the exchange rates were going at $1,000 per coin. But after reading some articles from the so called "experts", I got scared and cancelled my plan. They were claiming that the current spike is a bubble, and it can burst anytime soon. I would have received a 200% ROI, if I had ignored them.
