The cryptoimperator coins are in fantastic shape. Sold one limited edition to justbtcme it should grade very high if he chooses to have it graded. Seems all those coins were pristine condition. My normal edition coin is in fantastic shape too.
Well, had my hands on 2 special in midrange number, they would never get MS67, there are clear fabrication scuffs on the front. I have #7, that one has potential for a high grade, very few distractions (but MS67 would surprise me). As far as I am informed did cryptoimperator hand pick the lower numbers, coin #1-5 will go on auction in September btw.

I tried pushing this before when it was first posted and didn't get much traction; however I personally think its a great idea. I just need to make sure I am not the one initiating or pushing the cause as it may become political somehow :/
I would not take it "the wrong way" if you pushed this. The reason why I like this idea, is that we need to assemble the community (if there is any left?), ideally everybody should get involved with voluntary tasks, however, not all can commit to donating "time", therefor is it good have the option to donate cash instead.

This is my answers, untill a poll comes up:
1. Would you Join the Mintcoin Guardians - Yes 2. Would you prefer a Monthly or Annual Due. - Yearly (If I trust the treasure, else monthly) 3. Amount you would consider for monthly amount - I would consider paying up to $5 / month for operation cost. 4. What % from any extra toward shoring up the Mintcoins walls or Advertising. - I do not believe in this strategy of shoring walls, adds are ok. 5. Any other ideas on how to make the membership more desirable. - Option to have my nickname showed in OP or Mint homepage (for the fame and fortune).
lol!! Seriously though, that's a good idea. Recognition never hurts as a means of incentive! Yes - membership in the "Mintcoin Guardians" should instantly place you on the "MINT Hall of fame"

Would ANACS grade a coin with "Do it your self" Pkey + hologram? How flexible are they with the writing on the slap, would they e.g. write the full public key there?

Pretty cool move there

You missed the 5000 RUB note
|
|

Well, that would be 2.5*10^6 MINT per month or 30*10^6 MINT per year. Assuming 21% stake per year, that would be 143*10^6 MINT, or 143 million MINT to be in the fond. However this would in reality by a higher number, since staking will be reduced around new year. This calculation assume MINT exchange constant @ 2 satoshi (this is very uncertain). So we just need 50 persons to donate 2.8 Mil MINT

I'm not sure if eBay can avoid Bitcoin forever. Sooner or later they are going to have to take a firm stance.
But I don't know how much they would charge for fees we all know ebay are famous for over charging. The fee's are independent on the payment method, you get charged once per month with an invoice from Ebay. But yes, the seller fee's on ebay is pretty high, you also pay 15% in VAT* on your sales, this will also be on your invoice. *If you are EU based seller

I agree with you, I'm just trying to offer an explanation for the lack of donations. It doesn't help that someone is dumping a significant amount of this coin every day for weeks now. If there was even a little upward momentum that would inspire some faith for donations. Personally I think it's the premine that is still getting dumped, but I don't have anything to support this theory.
I could fear that too, but know way to know for sure...

Already donated, kinda disappointing that only three minter's have donated... I think part of the problem here is that most people who own Mint have lost so much that it's hard to justify donating more money. Some people are down 90-95%. Asking these same people to donate more money for free is probably expecting too much. You are absolutely right about the first part. We all lost money. However, due to the current situation (the premine is lost), then is donation the only way this coin can stay alive. Seriously, if the current dev don't feel they have the support from the community, then will we eventually not have a dev team - and then is the coin doomed. This is really pennies we talk about, if all bagholders through a few cents in the pot, then will the wheels keep turning. If you can afford to spend 100-1000 dollar on mint, then am I sure that you can afford to donate 50 cent or so, this will not make a different in the grand scheme of things. Anyway, don't get me wrong, donation is voluntary, so If you are not in a position to donate, then is it fine. But any bagholder should be worried about the team not getting the few dollars they need in order to run basic services.

Really interesting... really interesting indeed.
Ebay is a perfect platform for integrating Bitcoin, the whole business model is based on sellers trust rating, and all new sellers will have their funds frozen for 30 days, and power sellers has absolutely no intention in scamming since there seller level is worth more than the few dollars they could get. Really ideal setup for bitcoin, hope this will be realized, it would be huge for bitcoin. (But I want to see it before I even dare hoping for bitcoin on ebay).
