1981  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people think everyone is a scam? on: May 18, 2018, 05:29:05 PM
The reason can be that scam is everywhere these days and it is in the nature of mankind to be protective around what they possess. For instance anyone whose house has been burgled before will want to make sure there are burgulary proofs or iron bars on the doors and windows of his next apartment. Being aware and careful around scammers is the burgulary proof internet users have against scammers now. It is not a bad thought.
1982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Hold your keys vs money on exchanges on: May 18, 2018, 04:03:24 PM
The veteran people on crypto tend to say that you should keep your coins in your wallet, never on exchages. However if there is a strong downwards movement on a coin and you want to sell to buy latter at a cheaper price it may take quite a bit of time and fees to move it. What is the right strategy?

There is no doubt that time is of essence when there is need to make some decisions concerning the holding of stocks just like bitcoin increase in price from $8000+ to $8100 within the hour but that does not justify keeping all your funds in exchange sites. What is being suggested is that keep only the amount you will need on exchange sites in case if anything should happen, you have something to fall back on. And today there is less traffic on the network meaning the time lost can still be minimal in transferring from the wallet to exchange sites.
I agree with you olubams about keeping an amount to be used on exchanges but determining how much should be kept there will also be an issue for the trader. As a day trader you will always need ready cash in bitcoin on the site of your choice for easy trade in readiness for any pump alerts. When you talk of keeping small, what percentage to be kept are we talking about here?
1983  Economy / Economics / Re: Top 10 Countries Bitcoin Banned News By CNN on: May 18, 2018, 02:53:10 PM
Zimbabwe, a poor country in Africa, has also joined the list of countries that have banished bitcoin. It is a pity that a poor country like that can be pilling up more sorrow and poverty on its people by preventing them from trading in bitcoin.
1984  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I lost 10000$ in trading, what should I do? on: May 18, 2018, 07:51:31 AM
Hi, I am a crypto-hamster and bought bitcoin when it cost 17,000 and decided to trade on the Bitfinex exchange withe margin.
In this business I was not experienced, so I followed the advice of different traders and their signals.
In the end I lost 10 thousand dollars when bitcoin fell to 6k , but it was money that I was ready to lose, i.e. free.
Now I do not have the desire to trade, but I want to earn money on crypto currency, because it's interesting and I believe that the future is for the crypto currency.
Now I want to try to make money on bounty programs.
And I want to ask you advice in this difficult matter. Where to start, and is it profitable at all?
Sorry about that. You must be rich for losing $10,000 and not worrying yourself over it. It is good that you moved on. But you are making your initial mistake again by following signals from different traders and you are now also asking us here to give you different advices. It is the same mistake you will make. I can suggest to you to take your time and read materials on trading and not just follow everybody.
1985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung has now entered the cryptocurrency world on: May 18, 2018, 05:05:33 AM
I think that such a company as Samsung would not just enter the crypto market. It is these news that affect the growth of bitcoin. And bitcoin is becoming more popular and in demand.
You are saying that the Samsung news is making bitcoin more popular and in demand? But do you actually know the current price of bitcoin that it has gone down and that the news has no influence on it?  I doubt you. However I think it is a good thing that big companies are now beginning to see cryptocurrency as not a scam and are making their investments there.
1986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to earn token and coin free ? on: May 18, 2018, 04:03:08 AM
is any way to earn a lot of coins and tokens free
please suggest me because i want to earn

You can earn airdrops for free but will expose your privacy.

Participating in social bounties for new ICOs has been good for some people.  You can read about a lot of those in here and what you need to do to get a reward for promoting their project.

If you have a smartphone you can get some apps that pay out in tokens for certain activities.  I use Storm Play and have earned about 1250 Storm tokens in the last 2 months just from playing games and stuff.

And if you have a PC with a graphics card, you might be able to mine some coins for the cost of electricity for your card.

That's all stuff I've been doing lately...haven't really put any money toward crypto, just time and electricity cost for mining.   Lots of YouTube resources for that stuff if you want to learn more, or browse around on the forums here.
The tokens from apps are not free because you spend time playing and abandoning your other duties. It is difficult to also withdraw the tokens after you have earned them. So it is time wasting.
1987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree that Bitcoin is nearly to be just like another business? on: May 18, 2018, 03:28:52 AM
Yes I agree it can be just like another business if you were open a business may it be restaurant, casinos, gym remittance center etc. they can use bitcoin as means of transaction, payment, purchase and even sending money...it s just it way of payment can be bitcoin
Bitcoin is not like any other businesses as of now because if bitcoin is a business then where is the owner? Bitcoin is not a business because it is a currency and the developer created it in order to help people to get out from the cage of the inflation and also help them to find a way where they can grow their money and get a lot of returns.
Why do you say bitcoin has no owner and for that can not be a business? I think it was agreed by everybody that satoshi founded bitcoin and is the owner. Is there any argument in that now?
1988  Economy / Economics / Re: The Future of Cryptocurrency on: May 17, 2018, 07:47:49 PM
Why not bitcoin as an example? Why Ripple? Is it really that greater than bitcoin? Maybe Ethereum or Litecoin also.
There will be another problem after all that good things that you have said.
Too much tokens and coins are out getting investors and users to be confused on what should be used.
Bitcoin Cash as an example. They have made victim of investors thinking they are the real bitcoin. How much did they get from that?
The coins are becoming too many now and almost confusing us but I believe that is the right time we  tap into the future. It is a good sign as it will enable buyers and crypto fans have many alternatives to choose from. Again, I also believe cryptocurrency has a great future with the world taping into the blockchain technology to solve its various needs.
1989  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Tell me a way money can buy you happiness on: May 17, 2018, 04:55:38 AM
Money can not buy anyone happiness. Only rest of mind that is free from stress can do that. If in doubt you can ask Michael Schumeker, the former World Formula One champion for several years who is now bedridden inspite of the money he has, if he has happiness with his money now.
1990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: True BTC believers on: May 17, 2018, 04:40:00 AM
Believing in Bitcoin is good but not with blind eyes.
Sorry for asking but i didn't get what the highlighted part there. Can you please elaborate sir/maam?.For an addition to my knowledge  Smiley.
I hope this reply is not coming late. From my past understanding of such a statement in bold it means that the poster is saying that no one should follow bitcoin for the sake that every other person is following it. That we should be reasonable and calculative the way we engage in bitcoin activities.
1991  Economy / Economics / Re: The Two Worlds of Cryptocurrency on: May 17, 2018, 03:48:15 AM
This post should have being drafted to be on your website, and not copied and paste here. I am sure it will not interest many posters here to read through and comment on it.
1992  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans Taxed $400 Billion For Fiber Optic Internet That Doesn’t Exist on: May 17, 2018, 03:40:06 AM
We should ask ourselves where does all these money go in the first place, The government should be able to account to the people because this seems like a fraudulent case to me.

It might be fraudulent but it is a standard practice for the US government.
We all know that the mentioned figure realized from that taxation is very high. It would have caused pains to those Americans who paid. With that figure out some may be reluctant to pay anymore. But why can't US stop its needless wars. Acting the world police as it suits them is not healthy.
1993  Economy / Economics / Re: can you imagine bitcoin as your prime currency. on: May 17, 2018, 03:11:28 AM
it seems a bit difficult for bitcoin to be able to become a world currency. I never imagined. but after I learned more deeply. it seems to be a bit difficult,we must also talk about things that are relative and logical
For us to be logical we can very well believe that there will never be a time in this world when a single currency will become accepted by everyone as a world currency. Whether bitcoin or any fiat.
1994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can we protect ourselves from a crypto crash? on: May 16, 2018, 11:23:17 PM
We cannot protect ourselves unless we know when exactly the correction will start and when will end. I don't think that this is possible, so just accept that dips are part of the game and don't think about it.
That is it. Anyone who is scared of a fall like we have now will not be a good business investor. This thing will happen from time to time. Success is not an easy story to achieve. Go ask those who have success and hear their stories. We should always welcome the negative sides of business from time to time.
1995  Economy / Economics / Re: A cryptocurrency with volatility can't be used as money on: May 16, 2018, 07:33:52 PM
I'm just reading an article in the newspaper. Klaus W. Wellershoff (a last chief in UBS Bank) says that's impossible to use a currency with volatility as money. If the value of the money decrease, that means the value of the merchandise decrease. For example : if you buy a flat with bitcoin and few years later the bitcoin value decrease... Your flat lose his value as well.

What do you think about this argument?
Can the less volatility in Ripple be a major reason why banks are adopting it against choosing the bitcoin or even litecoin?

'Your flat lose his value as well.', This is not true.. We know that real estate do not depreciate. Rather price go up. Whether bought with bitcoin or not does not matter.
1996  Economy / Economics / Re: What are the challenges for investment with Small capital? on: May 16, 2018, 09:58:02 AM
For me small capital investment comes with so many 'ifs' - 'if I had invested much in that project, I would be making blablabla', that is when the investment goes well. On the other hand, so many 'Thank goodness I didn't invest much there' when the investment goes wrong. That is human nature. I don't think large capital means a project or an investment will succeed. No, it does not. I have seen small investments groomed to become bigger within a short time.
1997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just lost my entire wallet of 13 BTC. on: May 16, 2018, 09:29:44 AM
I had a stomach ache reading it. anyone please return the savings. I have a question for op "why did you expose your nano ledger with the balance in it?" then is it possible someone can steal it from there? Huh
I thought the Nano Ledger is said to be a secured offline wallet. So what could have happened and the bitcoin was able to be stolen? I do not understand the part of saying 'exposing his balance in it' Can anyone explain?
1998  Economy / Economics / Re: As Altcoin Popularity Grows So Does Crime; Is Regulation Keeping Up? on: May 15, 2018, 06:56:46 PM
I have noticed that too but we can't really put the blame on the growth of altcoins. It is just that crime and the criminals found another line of scamming people in altcoins or bitcoin. We have to remember that in general crime is ever increasing. A fee minutes ago, I read about a poster who lost 13btc to scammers because he wanted to claim a fork coin. Here is the thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3490317.msg37379153#msg37379153
1999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just lost my entire wallet of 13 BTC. on: May 15, 2018, 06:14:04 PM
Cautionary Tale: I messed up. Big time. Please don’t pile on harder as I’m already sick to my stomach.
You don't want to be blamed anymore, so why did you put up your tale here for us to read and make judgement then? To pity you and give out tips? Sit up man, that may not happen here. You caused your woe to yourself. It is called greed. You already had 13btc worth over $100,000 and you were busy looking for peanuts slipt coins.
2000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term investment. on: May 15, 2018, 01:35:08 PM
How do you feel about long-term investment? Do you see the priorities in this? What do you think is the reason for this? Where to invest in your opinion?
Anybody who has taken part in cryto investment in the past or who has ever looked at past charts of any crypto should know that long term is the best altitude here. But it requires patience and not constantly looking at the price movement of the coins you have bought. This will prevent panic selling when the price goes down. Just give the investment 6months to 12months to mature for better profit.
