1981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did the use of online gambling increase with crypto moneys? on: June 26, 2018, 06:45:51 PM
I tried it before but not on casino or any type of games in a casino. I tried it with sports betting. In sports betting you can see which team or player have the highest chances of winning. Yes the profits maybe small in betting on those with higher odds of wining but at least you know your chances to earn profits are good.
1982  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why choose LONG-TERM TRADING? on: June 21, 2018, 10:58:04 PM
I agree that theres a lot of advantages in long term trading, however if you think about it. If you bought at around July 2017 and you hold on to your coins till now? Do you think you should have sold your coins last December when it reached $18,000 USD in hopes that BTC will reach even higher this year? In my case I am 50/50 on the idea that I should have sold a portion of what I have last December and hold on to the rest so at least I enjoyed the ATH price of BTC.
1983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: holding and prices will go up ? on: June 21, 2018, 07:47:08 PM
Holding a coin and not selling it when theres a demand. Those who would like to buy will not be able to buy at low price, most likely they will be forced to buy at a higher price. Its the the law of supply and demand in action. Holding will limit the supply and increase the price.
1984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: John McAfee Will Stop ICO Promotion Services After Threats on: June 21, 2018, 07:11:18 PM
John McAfee Will Stop ICO Promotion Services - The cybersecurity pioneer and eccentric digital currency advocate John McAfee, who has long been a digital token promoter has revealed today that he will not promote ICO anymore because of the perceived "threat" of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Mcafee revealed this through social media on his Twitter hand.
Finally he comes to his senses. While I agree to the ICOs that he is promoting but with his popularity in the crypto world, the project will not be known for its actual project it self but more on an ICO that was promoted by John McAfee. We would rather see a project to be known organically not artificially because it was endorsed by a known figure like John McAfee. Road map and actual project plan will just come in 2nd place, it should be the other way around.
1985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how to manage losses? on: June 21, 2018, 07:00:30 PM
I am not a long term hodler, I am more of a short term trader and most of the time a day trader and if ever I suffer a loss, I shift to long term and wait for the token or coin to recover. Selling at loss price will not help you recover your losses, actually it will bury you deeper into the hole so stop looking at the price from time to time as it tends to add up to your stress when you see no movement on the price. Lowering your target price on when to sell will help you slowly recover your losses too.
1986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to convert the coins collected from the bounty, to eth? on: June 21, 2018, 06:44:18 PM
Are you talking about the tokens that as awarded to you for a bounty? How are you able to collect those bounty tokens without knowing what's the future plans of that project that you just supported. Read the white paper of that project and see when and where they plan to list the token. Usually those projects provides updates through email so for you not to miss those updates, subscribe to their newsletter. Most likely they they will announce which exchange site is going to list that token you are holding.

1988  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crash recoveries are not moons on: June 21, 2018, 06:26:27 PM
It's irritating to see people saying that after a 20% crash (which happened a week ago or so), that 1 or 2% daily recoveries is a good sign for the market. It's not.
I think it depends on the reason why it crashed. If its something like what happened last year when China announced ban of ICO's after the 2017 ghost month, it took a few weeks when market started to pick up and Bitcoin hits all time high by December. If its after a site has been hacked same thing, market will react for a while but it will soon recover. Recovery maybe slow but at least it is recovering.
1989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 132: Cerrone vs Edwards Info and Prediction Thread on: June 21, 2018, 05:57:42 PM
No wonder I see two Filipino fighters Jenel Kausa and Rolando Dy, the fight will be held at Singapore Indoor Stadium. I thought I am looking at a fight card assembled by Once FC. I hoe those two Pinoy fighters make it, its been quite sometime when I last see a Filipino fighter in UFC like Brandon Vera and Mark Munoz. Looking at the fight card is not really that stacked that might draw a huge crowd but I hope Cowboy Cerrone keeps his momentum after winning a fight with Yancy Medeiros via TKO in Round 1.

1991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you recover from your loss in bitcoin investment? on: June 21, 2018, 05:03:46 PM
Recovering from a loss takes a lot of patience, planning and focus. Patience because sometimes it may take 1-2 weeks or maybe 3 months or more before the market starts to recover, in that case its either you hodl and have patience in waiting for the market to start recovering or take a risk of selling your coins and invest in another coin with a potential to recover which is part of planning. If you decided to hodl or sell, focus on it and dont keep on changing your plan. Those fees and charges when you buy and sell doesn't come cheap.
1992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade Vs HODL on: June 21, 2018, 08:20:46 AM
What is your recommendation for Crypto trading,  Day trading or HODL
Experience in crypto trading big loser or winner
If you want it safe HODL, because if market is down, you can just hodl on the coin until markets starts to recover, once it reached your goal, you can go ahead and sell. While in day trading, regardless if market is bearish or bullish you set a goal as to how much you plan to sell your coin and the price should be reasonable because if your target is to earn 10% in a day, you might not hit your goal, it should be low that by the end of the day or before the day ends you can go ahead and sell and take your profits.
1993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin and crypto currency ALWAYS getting hacked?? on: June 21, 2018, 08:06:39 AM
If its created by a human it can also be hacked by another human or the same human. Who knows if this hackers are paid hackers to hack their own site just to show to the world that their site was hacked and it will allow them enough time to exit or play with the Bitcoins in some other business venture. Regardless of how any times they update their security, someone will try to hack their way in to the system specially that the reward is good.
1994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: June 20, 2018, 03:14:51 PM
Manny has MP promotions which work with Arum's TR in his last couple of fights if I remember it. Yes, that snake Arum milk Manny up to the last drop and now is slowly moving away because Manny has somewhat diminished his power to attract fans to watch his fight. But I don't think that's a fair assumption though, manny can bring fight fans to watch him specially in the US soil. Unfortunately, issues with IRS (rumor?) and then Arum's who are now pushing for Crawford at his next cash cow together Lomachenko. There was even some media reports that team Pacquiao received a cold treatment from Arum during his last fight with Horn because its the last fight under TR's contract.
Arum and Manny have a lot of disagreements lately and most of the time it has something to do with schedule. Manny is Arums prizefighter and he wants to make sure that his prizefighter is in good shape and has trained well before the fight in which Manny can't deliver since he has a lot of things to take care specially now that aside from being a Senator, he formed a Basketball league that will rival PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) which is the MPBL or the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.

I still wish he will win this fight with Matthysse and hang the gloves after. His book is written already and he is already a legend since he is the only one who was able to win the championship belt for 8-division.
1995  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how often do you check BTC price and how to cope with stress? on: June 20, 2018, 03:04:11 PM
How often? I can't count how many times but let me give you an idea how I check the price of Bitcoins.

On my smartphone I downloaded Blockfolio to check how my bags are doing and every time I hold my smartphone I think I dont miss to hit the icon of Blockfolio.

In my office I have a desktop computer and once I open Google Chrome it will open 4 sites, our company website, my private email, Cryptocompare (where I entered all my Crypto assets to check if its up or down) and Preeve.

I have my laptop with me so I can check my work email even on the run or at home. The Google Chrome settings are the same, it opens to the 4 sites I mentioned above.
1996  Economy / Speculation / Re: 3 reasons the crypto markets are in a dive and Tom Lee is moving the goal post on: June 20, 2018, 02:55:07 PM
Tom Lee remains bullish about Bitcoin and thinks the cryptocurrency will be worth between $20,000 to $64,000 by the end of 2019.
Thanks for sharing and I don't think its a sad news but for me it is a good news to add to list of good news for Bitcoin. His forecast about the price of Bitcoin is even higher to those who speculated on how much Bitcoin will be worth by end of 2018 and 2019. I see it a positive news that might give a good signal to those who still have doubts with Cryptocurrency.
1997  Economy / Economics / Re: FINANCIAL TIPS on: June 20, 2018, 09:58:01 AM
Try to save up for an emergency fund. An emergency fund is made up of all your expenses for the month multiply by 3. The number 3 stands for 3 months. Sp if you are currently employed and relying on your salary and if anything bad happens to your work like business needs to close or you are part of retrenchment, you can use the emergency. Why 3 months only, because as soon as you don't have work, you can start looking for a new job and your funds can last up to 3 months, but its still up to you if you want higher emergency funds.
1998  Economy / Speculation / Re: This price drop has occured before on: June 20, 2018, 09:40:16 AM
At first I was thinking that it the similarity of whats happening to the price of Bitcoin could be compared to the price last 2016 or 2017 but when I ulled up the chart to see if there is here it is

2016 and 2017 chart looks the same from January to June but not on 2018. But if you look and compare the price chart of BTC for 2014 and 2018 there is somewhat a resemblance, Drp of price happened on February. Compared to the price in 2016 and 2017, price is slowly picking up.

1999  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is worth buying coins under $1? on: June 19, 2018, 04:07:55 PM
Yes, investing on those coins that are worth below $1 is good but you need to be patient in waiting for it to go up, it's good for long term look at XEM, price is still stronger and development is continuous. SC also is a great coin to hold on to. They have a team of developers.
2000  Other / Meta / Re: Solve Captcha before posting in a topic? on: June 19, 2018, 03:47:25 AM
I don't think this is a good idea because it'll inconvenience every single user who posts here, not just the shitposters and bots.  Second, I don't think it'll do any good whatsoever toward suppressing....whatever.  People here are dedicated to posting shit and won't let a silly little captcha stand in their way.
That's the whole idea of it, if they really want to post and if they think the post that they want to share is something that can help others in the topic of discussion, just like what you said no silly little captcha will stop them for posting, but for a bot to solve a captcha for every post? If that idea will not stop them from posting at least it will slow them down until they are identified as a bot then ban.
