1981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 22, 2022, 11:40:20 PM

Feel bad for the Dallas Mavericks' Moneyline odds. As a hard bettor for them since then, I'm expecting decent odds in tonight's game for them since they are downed by 0-2 already but still, it was even lessened from @1.78 yesterday to @1.67 currently. Only the homecourt was changed. But in winning the conference finals and NBA champion, a big increase in their odds.

Anyhow, tonight's game is really a must-win situation for the Mavericks. It's a much worst situation if they will end up only winning one game at their home and will visit the big Chase Center with a 1-3 disadvantage.

Go Mavericks! You guys can do it. Smiley

Losing smart is a huge loss for Boston, they need his defense.  Tatum and jaylon brown are gonna have to ball out.  If they go down 3-1 to the heat they are toast.  I can't see the heat losing 3 straight with 2 of those games being played on their home court.  Game four is a MUST win for boston.

I'm thinking the other way. Those who stepped on Miami Heat last game are all not consistent. It's only Jimmy Butler who are consistent since the start of the playoffs. But before anything else, I like to see how Mami Heat will perform next game without Jimmy Butler. Maybe, those guys that I referring to as not consistent are just allowing Butler to own the gameplay. This time with no Butler, let's see if those role players can put up the same play and production as what they did in Game 5.

Remember that the Heat almost blew their 26 points lead in that game without Jimmy Butler.

I haven't seen a whole lot of speculation on these boards recently about who McGregor will be fighting next.  From the looks of his body, he's been focusing a lot of his training on getting a massive upper body while recovering from his horrific leg injury.  I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get a UFC title shot like he wants and maybe has to resort to going for another payday style boxing match like he did with Mayweather.  That seems to be popular these days.  I'm not sure who he would face...  I don't think he wants to go the Jake Paul route, but maybe Canelo in a boxing match?

It does mean no interest regarding that. I hope so too that this thread won't be polluted by exhibition fights, especially regarding the Paul Brothers.

And technically, I don't see any connections that might possibly be connected about the chances of McGregor fighting with Canelo. If I will buy that speculation, that has a low chance to happen since after Canelo lose to Bivol, there are lots of things he needs to do first rather than fighting a UFC fighter that doesn't make sense for him.

Even if it's about money, Canelo fighting in a professional match against a real boxer compared to fighting with McGregor will give him more money. Maybe McGregor against Pacquiao is more possible to happen.
1983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 22, 2022, 11:26:55 PM

WTF Gilas. Even SMC teams in the PBA can beat team Indonesia. Coach Chot was too comfortable. I previously posted here my concern that Gilas struggles in Thailand during their first match in SEA Games which shows already what's the problem. Damn Chot, sitting out LeBron Lopez for most of the time where he's one of the good assets there to bring the ball down. The Ravena brothers seem tired already and Chot may be like these guys for real (don't take it seriously). All countries in South East Asia should be "easy" to the Gilas no matter how improved those. I used the word "easy" because it's a fact and for all the countries in the South East, we are the most basketball enthusiast.

If a team like Indonesia was able to beat them, Gilas should hope for fuck*ng changes in the squad as no way it can complete closely in the ASIAN games.
1984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 31st South East Asian Games on: May 22, 2022, 11:20:41 PM

Disappointed in PH men's basketball squad. We are dominating the basketball in the South East since 1989. All of those Gold Medals that PH won in men's basketball are dominating that all wins are averaging 40+ points lead.

I previously posted here my concerns when PH struggles against Thailand. But after that, they dominated their next 3 games in a big lead until Indonesia snap the dominance for almost 3 decades.

The PH basketball squad should take that seriously. Honestly, with no offense, an SMC team in the local league, Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) can beat the Indonesian team. That's how serious the problem is in Gilas squad.

My pick: Dallas Mavericks +6.5

Medyo mababa ang bigay na + haha. Wala e kahit alam kong dehado Dallas Mavericks dito no choice ako kundi piliin sila. Naka-bet na ako kasi. As usual at lagi kong sinasabi, regardless kung underdog sila o hindi, Dallas Mavericks all the way na ako hanggang matapos journey nila.
1986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eastern Conference Finals (Heat vs Celtics) on: May 20, 2022, 04:26:14 AM

The Boston Celtics bounces back as I expected in a 125-102 win on road. After losing in a big lead on Game 1, they return the favor by beating the Miami Heat in a big lead too. I really don't expect a 2-0 lead here as I know the Celtics will be different after a loss. Now that they even the series, that will serve as a reference for the Miami Heat on what things needs to do next game.

Again, when the Miami Heat loses, it's only Jimmy Butler who is consistent. The most consistent player for me in this playoff who always acquires good numbers. They are like that since the start of the playoffs.
1987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: May 20, 2022, 03:47:20 AM
The Warriors are now the favorite to win the NBA championship this season, followed by the Miami Heat at a distant second.

It's not "now" I guess. I think they surpassed the Phoenix Suns' odds back when they finished the series early against the Grizzlies. A slight adjustment.

That is expected though that the Golden State Warriors will be the Favorites in the Final 4 teams right now in the Conference Finals.

The order of odds from Favorites to bottom you listed is correct as of now.

If I'm not mistaken, the Suns has been the favorite but obviously they are now eliminated by the Nuggets who unfortunately is the long shot now.

By the Dallas Mavericks, mate. Smiley
1988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Western Conference Finals (Warriors vs Mavericks) on: May 20, 2022, 03:32:31 AM
The defense on Luka is only single coverage, if Luka cannot be effective in sharing the ball, even if he score, he will still get easily tired in the 2nd half. That's what we see in game 1, it was close in the 1st half but in then 2nd half the Warriors displayed their full dominance.

Actually, I don't have any problem with that Luka's style since that was effective throughout.

My concern is those lots of failed attempts at the rainbow area right from the 1st Quarter. Dodging the Warrior's defense isn't a problem with the Mavericks but there are lots of uncontested shots made by Luka, Brunson, Bullock, and Kleber to name a few but they can't nail those shots. In other words, almost the majority of Mavericks gunners are having their worst shooting percentage that night regardless if it was well-defended or not.

I believed they can bounce back. The series is still a long way to go. Mavericks don't have a Game 1 win yet in the whole playoffs. They always started behind.
1989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The worst odds of winning... on: May 20, 2022, 03:20:28 AM
What is the point of this comeback if he has been surpassed by other players during his active career? Now he has grown old, lost his form and the level of competition has grown significantly, so I have big doubts that he will be able to return not only to triumphant results, but at least to good competitive ones.

It's actually not a "comeback".

Tiger Woods is very active in Golf events. He is not coming from a big break or what.

This thing is common in any sport. As long as these people feel they still have it, nothing wrong to compete with those rising stars. There are many examples to mention. It's just that obviously, from a big and heavy favorite, they will now be considered an underdog and expect the odds for them will be a decent one that is worth a bet.
1990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: May 20, 2022, 03:10:37 AM
@Fatunad. There is no see. I like Nonito Donaire, I am a fan of him and I reckon he is a much better boxer in style compared to Manny Pacquiao. If Donaire had the same speed, power and determination of Pacman, I reckon he would also certainly be a champion of many weight divisions. However, Inoue is clearly stronger than Donaire. I also posted before an exaggeration that Donaire will be knocked out and brought out of the ring on a stretcher hehe. It appears many people did not like this and I was not antagonizing anyone. This is only to express that Inoue will be very hard for Donaire. The odds for Inoue, however, is very bad for betting. Rounds betting might bet the only way to be this or Inoue with a knockout win.

Honestly, the majority of Filipinos already know and understand the distance between Naoya Inoue and Nonito Donaire. We are not ignoring the reality and facts that Inoue has all the advantages. However, it doesn't mean that Donaire can't pull an upset against the Japanese monster.

I have to disagree with you that Donaire needs to have the same determination as Pacquiao. Is that even possible to have the same level of determination as other boxers? Obviously, a big no as different boxers has a different approach and inspiration for their own career.

I also posted before an exaggeration that Donaire will be knocked out and brought out of the ring on a stretcher hehe. It appears many people did not like this and I was not antagonizing anyone.

Naoya Inoue was sent to the hospital right away after the fight as he received heavy damage from Donaire.

The first time in his career. The first time for him to struggle in a match.

That's the reason why upset is always possible to happen.
1991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: May 20, 2022, 02:59:36 AM
Though it's a big help but we cannot deny the fact that it's not good for the poor, why? Because majority of the audience of e sabong are poor people, instead of using their money for the basic needs, they try to gamble it hoping that they'll win which we know gamblers would lose most of the time, so it's not really good.

No mate. If we have to focus on the case here in PH, the majority of those who got wrecked their lives came from rich families and mid-level. How can the poor even sustain their e-sabong activity if they don't have any source of income? No one will also lend them money since they can't show any assurance that they can pay it later on. In other words, poor people only spend less "IN TOTAL" compared to the mid-level or those who are earning average salaries here.

Those people that do have the financial capability of doing gambling are the "most" victims here, not the poor ones.

When the news came out that there will be a ban on online cockfighting, almost all cases I have seen are not on poor families. Those who got wrecked their lives sell their stuff like cars, cellphones, and properties - are they poor? No.
1992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: May 20, 2022, 02:49:29 AM
so he has a lot of convincing thing to do in this fight.

I don't understand the picture here. Let's make it clear.

For let's say Magsayo won this fight against Vargas but he ended up in heavy damage, does his win won't be convincing as it didn't reach your or anyone's expectations? If that's the case then we are just looking down at both boxers, first Magsayo's struggling to win and Vargas' ability that were supposed to defeat Magsayo without a problem.

You guys should understand that regardless of what these boxers went through to win, as long as they did their best, what kind of convincing do they need to do? If we saw them really fought hard then no question after all in the end.

It's like treating Magsayo's win as a joke if you or others question his way of winning like what happened against Gary Russel Jr.
1993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 19, 2022, 11:59:04 PM
The truth is that if I would like to see a rematch of these two, Bivol should accept the rematch,

Dmitry Bivol is always ready and prepared for a rematch but Canelo's advisors or even boxing analyst says that it's not a good idea to have a rematch with Bivol. We can't even see Canelo having a talk about this then it means he might understand the risks once he goes against Bivol again. I'm with the idea that Canelo's next match won't be either a rematch with Bivol or a trilogy with Canelo.

The way Canelo performed against Bivol, the result will just be repeated. We didn't see the fierce Canelo in that match because Bivol did a great job destroying the rhythm of Canelo. With that Bivol's strategy, Canelo become disappointed and didn't able to focus seriously on the fight. GGG might not be interested anymore with Canelo and will pick another good match before retiring.
1994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 31st South East Asian Games on: May 19, 2022, 11:55:33 PM
while Vietnam is still in the lead with 126 gold, Thailand has increased their lead to the Philippines with 53 gold. the Philippines currently have 38 gold and will most likely have a hard time catching up. at the moment it looks like the Philippines will be stuck in the 3rd place and have a chance to be surpassed by Singapore 37 gold or Indonesia 36 gold.

I think it's just around 2 days left remaining for the event. Just correct me if I'm wrong.

It's looks like the current medal tally rankings will be the final preview of the result at the end. The different result every year is good to see here in SEA Games since it means, no teams are consistently dominating the event.

Only on those specific sports, we will see dominance but in general, there's no such thing as consistent 1st place here.
1995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any changes experienced within body - Gambling??? on: May 19, 2022, 11:50:17 PM

What's happening with others here? Better stop gambling, that's my advice for you. If you can't handle the stress, gambling is not for you. Gambling for fun is a sh*t if that's your only purpose why you are doing that then in return, you will be affected heavily by your losses.

To OP, you need serious medical attention as it already involved physical changes. I can't correlate what you experienced just by gambling. There are triggering those changes and act now before it's too late.

Even though I'm not in the medical field, it should be obvious that even if you are stressed about gambling, it's something that can't be related to trigger your Gastrointestinal problems.

My pick: Boston Celtics +3.5

1997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causing victim to scam his family on: May 18, 2022, 11:55:24 PM

I remember a thread here blaming the platform for still sending emails and promotions even though the user already demanded to stop it in the mission and goal of totally stopping doing gambling. Although that platform admits there's a problem with the system, seems not appropriate for me to fully blame the platform where in fact, it's impossible that people will not encounter any gambling-related stuff even just by a simple walking in the street.

Here in OP's shared story, I won't blame the platform here but the gambler itself. We should be responsible and serious if we really like to stop gambling. Only we can help ourselves to fight the temptation of gambling.
1998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 18, 2022, 11:50:40 PM
By the way, it seems that the Heat is very lucky during this playoffs as they were able to win the 76ers because Embiid was injured, and now they have a good chance to win the Eastern Conference Finals since the Celtics play without their key players.

Don't say that mate as you might trigger some Miami Heat fans. Cheesy

But anyway, these injuries from other teams really give Miami Heat an advantage. Here in the series against the Boston Celtics, winning Game 1 is not really an assurance that the Celtics do have a disadvantage missing some of their good role players. For sure, Celtics already know what to do next.

Let's see in their next games if they will be able to bounce back or Miami Heat will still dominate them until the end.

But the unfortunate event comes to these horses that sometimes they die unexpectedly, maybe from too much exhaustion and tiredness. I am not supporting this as I am with those people that just let the animals live on their habitat.

Maybe there are other reasons. The horse breed that fits for horse racing is capable to run even on the longest track allowed at horse racing. And these horses are only allowed to race 1 to 2 times per day and they will be set again for the race after a day period.

There are really unfortunate things that happened in horse racing but I doubt that was all intentional or if owners want it to happen. Or maybe someone is doing irregularities behind the shadows against their opponents which is possible to happen.

Ang lakas lakas ng Golden State Warriors. Gusto nila 1:1.
